Loading...The Chapter 2, Act 4: Requiem of the Echoing Depths Archon Quest was released in Genshin Impact Update 2.6 on March 30, 2022. This quest continues the adventures of the Traveler and Paimon as they explore The Chasm in Liyue.
Starting Requiem of the Echoing Depths
To initiate this Archon Quest, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be Adventure Rank 30 or higher
- Complete the “Chapter II, Act III – Omnipresence Over Mortals” Archon Quest
The quest is divided into four subquests:
- In the Depths, an Unexpected Reunion
- The Grave of the Guarded
- Memories of Inteyvat
- The Black Serpent Knights’ Glory
In the Depths, an Unexpected Reunion
To start the quest, go to Liyue Harbor and speak with Katheryne at the Adventurer’s Guild. She will assign the Traveler and Paimon a new commission to investigate the newly reopened Chasm and direct them to the miner, Yuehui, who requested the commission.
Yuehui is located just northwest of Qingxu Pool in Liyue. Follow the path north of Qingxu Pool until you reach two Millelith guards who will recognize you and grant entry.
Continue along the path past a Teleport Waypoint that you can activate, and approach Yuehui, who is standing to the right. He will explain that he and other miners have recently received mining permits for The Chasm, but they have been unsettled by strange occurrences and encounters with Hilichurls.
Yuehui will guide you to the last known location of the monsters: The Chasm Underground Mines. To access the Underground Mines, you must complete the “The Chasm Delvers – Surreptitious Seven-Star Sundering” World Quest, which will automatically appear in your Quest Log after speaking with Yuehui.

Once you unlock The Chasm Underground Mines, head to The Chasm’s Maw in the center of the map and jump down the large hole to enter the new area.
You will then be assigned to go to a designated location, and there is a Teleport Waypoint nearby that you should activate.
Before proceeding, complete part of the Chasm Delvers World Quest chain:
- Chasm Spelunkers
- The Heavenly Stone’s Debris
After finishing The Heavenly Stone’s Debris, glide down the hole to continue with the In the Depths, an Unexpected Reunion quest.
You can also proceed with the Chasm Delvers chain by starting Perils In The Dark once you’ve completed The Heavenly Stone’s Debris.
The Grave of the Guarded
Upon landing, you’ll find yourself in the Nameless Ruins and encounter Dainsleif. After the cutscene ends, you will need to investigate the ruins and find a way forward.
Climb the slope to the north and drop off the cliff. Another cutscene will play, revealing signs of Hilichurl activity. Suddenly, you will be ambushed by Black Serpent Knights.
Defeat them and continue up the slope to find the entrance to the ruins. A purple haze will surround the city, preventing access, but Dainsleif will help you bypass it.
Jump across the platforms to traverse the gap, where you’ll encounter two more Black Serpent Knights.
Look up from the bottom left corner of the room to find a hole in the ceiling. Climb up and defeat three additional Black Serpent Knights. After a brief cutscene, exit the ruin, turn left, and jump back over the platforms to the left room, where you should activate a Teleport Waypoint.
From there, cross to the other side of the room and glide to the middle tower.
From the tower room, take the right exit and glide across to the other side of the gap. In this new room, climb up the broken wall to reach the top.
At the top, you’ll find a gap with a large tree root on the other side. Glide across and proceed to the next room. Once there, head into the room on the left to reach the center of the tower.
A cutscene will play, concluding The Grave of the Guarded Archon Quest. You will receive 2 Hero’s Wit, 5 Mystic Enhancement Ore, 25,825 Mora, and 750 Adventure EXP.
Memories of Inteyvat
After finishing The Grave of the Guarded, head north toward a gap and glide down to the golden waypoint past some Oozing Concretions.
Follow the path until you reach a fork in the road. Take the right path to find a Hilichurl camp.
Here, you’ll need to locate four clues. The first clue is on the left by two Hilichurls lying down. The second clue is on the right near two wooden crates. The third clue is north of the last clue, at a campfire, and the final clue is a flower located by some Hilichurls on the left.
After the cutscene, continue along the path. You will encounter the Abyss Herald. Once its health is reduced to a quarter, it will put up a shield. Use a combination of Cryo and Hydro to freeze it and defeat it quickly.
Defeating the Abyss Herald will conclude the Memories of Inteyvat section of the Archon Quest, rewarding you with 7 Adventurer’s Experience, 4 Mystic Enhancement Ore, 19,800 Mora, and 575 Adventure EXP.
The Black Serpent Knights’ Glory
After the Memories of Inteyvat segment, return to the chamber. Warp back to the Teleport Waypoint you activated earlier and retrace your steps to the central room.
A cutscene will play, after which you will face an Abyss Lector. Similar to the Abyss Herald, it will gain a shield when its health reaches a quarter. Use Pyro to defeat it quickly.
Once it is defeated, you need to destroy four charging devices connected to portals in the room. Touch one to travel to a device.
For the device on the east side of the room, you will face a Pyro Abyss Mage and a Cryo Abyss Mage. Defeat them to unlock the device, then hit it to destroy it and use the portal to return to the main room.
For the west side device, you need to defeat an Electro Abyss Mage and a Cryo Abyss Mage.
In the south, you will encounter a Hydro Abyss Mage and a Pyro Abyss Mage.
Finally, in the north, defeat an Electro Abyss Mage and a Pyro Abyss Mage.
With all four devices destroyed, return to the main room and interact with the device in the center. A cutscene will play, concluding the Chapter Two, Act Four: Requiem of the Echoing Depths Archon Quest.
You will receive 60 Primogems, 2 Hero’s Wit, 5 Mystic Enhancement Ore, 2 Guide to Prosperity, 2 Guide to Diligence, 2 Guide to Gold, 24,250 Mora, and 700 Adventure EXP.
