This is Part 6 of the complete Escape Simulator walkthrough series, covering the paid Steampunk DLC. Every code below is cross-verified across the Steam 100% guide (luckz & Lilly), the Walkthrough Wiki and The Walkthrough King; the rooms are hand-built and fixed, so these answers match your game. Nothing is invented — for the few “line it up by eye” steps, the embedded video shows the positions fastest.
Steampunk DLC
The Steampunk pack moves the action onto a brass-and-rivets airship: four rooms of valves, boilers, gears and pneumatic tubes. More than any other chapter it rewards knowing a few real systems, because the “codes” are usually something you can actually work out:
- Morse code. Three speakers tap out G, C, O, which spell the chest code COG. (Morse is a series of short and long pulses — the circle sizes on the lock tell you the reading order.)
- Resistor colour bands. A drone needs 30Ω, derived straight from Ohm's law: 120 volts ÷ 4 amps = 30 ohms. The blackboard's colour table tells you which two resistors add up to that.
- The water-jug puzzle. A genuine maths classic — measure exactly 4 litres by pouring between vats of fixed sizes.
- Gear meshing, chess coordinates, pressure ordering, a constellation read, and Latin botanical names (Nerium Oleander, Aethericum Liliago, Zenobia Ambigua) round out the pack.
Several steps have a co-op shortcut (one player holds a lever while the other acts); solo players just do those parts in sequence. Each room hides 8 tokens.
The Crew Quarters
Read the note about “numbers written on their side,” then read the small plaque inside the terrarium on the top bunk — that gives the locker padlock: 687. Inside are a glove, hat and illuminator; grab the boots from under the desk and, from the under-bed crates, a Morse-code book and a second glove.
Flip the three small levers beneath the countdown timer and listen: the speakers sound out G, C, O. Open the bunk chest with COG for three gears; one carries clock hands and the numeral I, so set the desk clock to 2:30 and take the tape.
For the wall safe, look inside the hat, gloves and boots and slide the markers to match each item's material: hat — blue with white cross-hatch; right glove — white with grey stars; left glove — red with yellow swirls; boot — green with multicolour cross-hatch. Take the puzzle box, slide its latches, turn the cog for a small lever, and free a bulb. Fit the bulb and tape into the illuminator, press its button to read three arrows (down, up, down), set the box switches to match, and it reveals 4638. Open the floor hatch with 4638 and climb down.
Lift the wall switch to expose the journey-log book (in co-op one player holds the switch upstairs while the other takes the book). The cargo log's tag shows three symbols whose only matching arrangement in the crate grid is D2, D3, E2, dated 03/05 — enter 0305 in the log and press the red button. Now set the directional lock: North ×2, West ×1, North ×1, East ×3.
Load the four cannonballs. The exit door shows a circle pattern; on the floor chest press the buttons that overlap into it (top-row middle, bottom-row left, bottom-row right) to get a lighter. Following the crew notice, fire cannons 1 and 2 together — cannon 1 has the longer fuse, so light it first, then 2 shortly after; repeat for 3 then 4. Take the key from the lock-box and use it on the exit.
8 tokens: in the puzzle box's final compartment; on the poster over the desk; inside the teapot (smash it); on the back of one gear; on the bottom of a baked-beans tin in a crate near the exit; on the front of the bottom-left crate (move the stacked ones); just left of the downstairs countdown timer; and on the right side of the base of cannon 3.
The Engine Room
Take the fire extinguisher (open the valve, pull the pin, squeeze) and put out every fire. Through the door, grab the fuel container and feed it into the three-vat machine; you need exactly 4 litres in the middle vat. From a full 8-litre left vat, pour: (8,0,0) → (5,0,3) → (5,3,0) → (2,3,3) → (2,5,1) → (7,0,1) → (7,1,0) → (4,1,3) → (4,4,0).
Turn the red valve, load fuel into the drone's left side, and press the red button. Read the Everyday Physics book on the blackboard desk: the drone runs at 120 V and 4 A, so it needs 30Ω. Pick the two resistors from the box whose colour bands sum to 30 using the blackboard's colour table (the exact pair is clearest in the video). Open the desk drawer for the spiral-pattern paper, then fit the crystals — red in the outer slot of the left gear, white in the inner slot of the middle gear, blue in the outer slot of the right gear — pull all three levers and place the revealed propeller on the drone.
On the path screen, route the drone with your limited fuel to the three broken elements: right 4, up 2, right 2, left 3, left 1, down 1, left 2.
Weigh the tools on the furnace scales (saw 4 kg, wrench 2 kg, hammer 6 kg) and enter 426 in the lock above the furnace. Shovel coal in until the doors shut, then use the moving view-screen ropes to trace the four top pipes to their exits and press those four buttons. Take the gear, fit it, and rotate the four gears so every pair of touching numbers matches — reading the meshing faces the source lists 4·5, 3·8, 8·4, 2·1, 2·1, 3·6, 6·8, 7·2. Take the disk, insert it into the ceiling device, and run the two-screen maze (top-down view plus first-person; in co-op one player reads each). Attach the valve to the exit and turn it.
8 tokens: on the left of the door before you leave the first room; inside the helmet on the wall by the exit; on the rotating part of the drone stand; on the left edge of the compressed-fuel engine; on the tool board in the furnace room; on the back of the inter-room door (close it from the furnace side); on the blade of the shovel nearest the furnace; and on the drone while it hovers near the furnace.
The Greenhouse
Read the Super Plants book. On the microGMO 400, slide to each hybrid and press its three source fruits: Left — banana, carrot, pineapple; Middle — grapes, strawberry, cherries; Right — apple, strawberry, carrot. Take the seed, drop it into the Capacitator 2850s, watch the impulses, then press: heart, circle, star, square, diamond, moon, triangle, hexagon. Put the enhanced seed into the Alloy Mixer 3000, flip up gold, copper and graphite, submit, and plant the shielded seed in the floor pot.
Now feed the four pedestals around the pot:
- Slider box (circles pedestal): S=5, L=2, I=6, D=1, E=4, R=3.
- Chess box (triangles pedestal): place the four pieces at E2, C8, E1, F4.
- Valve box (squares pedestal): turn the wall valves to reveal 4, 1, 2, 5, then order them by gauge pressure (low to high) for 5412.
- Star box (stars pedestal): through the telescope you see crab, giraffe, bow — press those three.
The tree grows in three stages. On the first control panel, press the buttons matching the trunk and branch pattern. On the second, count the leaf tips (7) and vein splits (5) and enter 3512. On the third, set the dials to the flowers' Latin initials: NO (Nerium Oleander), AL (Aethericum Liliago), ZA (Zenobia Ambigua). Pick the big blue fruit, put it in the Fruit Energy Extractor by the exit, and take the key.
8 tokens: on the inner arm of the telescope; inside a pot-plant (break it); in the wooden crate under the second bench; in the lamp over the second bench; beneath the raised platform; near the bottom of the pipes by the rocking chair; over the exit door; and in the lowest circular hole on the wall divider near the chess case.
The Helm Room
This is the pack's capstone: you unlock four station handles, then pull them in order. Start at the oscilloscope and turn the red knob until the trace is sharp. At the Main Power panel, open the valve and press the buttons at the wave's low and high points — (-2, 2), (-3, 1), (-4, 3) — to reveal the Power Station handle.
Gather three magnetic spheres (map-table top, a table cupboard, and the open shelves by the stairs) and seat them in the Radar Power board. Press the button on the coil-setup cube, note the marker positions on its four faces, and flip the board switches to match — this reveals the radar panel. Read the radar codes E0, C2, H2 into the visor, note the matching balloon symbols, and press those three buttons for the Radar Station handle.
At the pneumatic tubes, read the mail manual, set the canister to Request New Code, and send it to the Deck, Crew Quarters and Greenhouse, collecting each returned code (gear, cross, five-pointed star). Switch to Request Equipment, press those three symbols, send to Engineering, and take the goggles. Wearing them, read the hidden messages and set the rudder: Half astern, Full ahead, Slow ahead, Full astern — revealing the Throttle Station handle.
Collect the helm plates (a #4 and a #2 are out in the open; open the exit-door chest with 734 — the ceiling fans and outside propellers read 7, 3, 4 — for the rest) and ring the helm clockwise: N, 8, 4, 7, 0, 3, 6, 2. At the map table, follow the route diary: Route 1 ends at 35E 15S showing 3 and 2; Route 2 ends at 15W 20N showing 4 and 9 — enter 32 and 49. Take the gear, read its calibration, and spin the helm clockwise ×2, counter-clockwise ×1, clockwise ×3 without letting go to reveal the Helm Station handle.
Finally pull the four handles in order: Power Station → Radar Station → Throttle Station → Helm Station. With multiple players you must coordinate so all stay down.
8 tokens: on the side of the oscilloscope; on the right engine (behind the outside propeller); on the right side of the telescope over the radar; on the floor after turning the valve above that telescope; on the binoculars on the map table; near the X in the middle of the map table; inside the pneumatic canister after sending it anywhere with the token button pressed; and in the hidden writing beneath the sofa (“slow ahead 3”) seen only through the goggles.
Frequently asked questions
What is the chest code in The Crew Quarters?
It's COG. Flip the three levers under the countdown timer and the speakers tap out the letters G, C, O in Morse; the circle sizes on the chest lock tell you to read them as C-O-G.
How do I work out the drone resistors in The Engine Room?
The drone shows 120 volts and 4 amps, and resistance = voltage ÷ current, so you need 30Ω. Use the blackboard's resistor colour-band table to pick the two resistors that add up to 30 — the exact pair is easiest to copy from the embedded video.
What is the water-jug solution for the fuel vats?
To get 4 litres in the middle vat from a full 8-litre vat: (8,0,0) → (5,0,3) → (5,3,0) → (2,3,3) → (2,5,1) → (7,0,1) → (7,1,0) → (4,1,3) → (4,4,0).
In what order do I pull the four handles in The Helm Room?
Power Station, then Radar Station, then Throttle Station, then Helm Station. Each is unlocked by its own puzzle first; in co-op, coordinate so every handle stays pulled down.
Can the Steampunk rooms be done solo?
Yes. The only co-op-specific moments (holding the Crew Quarters switch, the Engine Room two-screen maze, the Helm Room handles) are all doable alone by acting in sequence.
