PowerWash Simulator 2 Completion Guide: Campaign Order, Achievements, and Hidden Challenges

PowerWash Simulator 2 official screenshot of the Teapot Tea Room being cleaned

PowerWash Simulator 2 is easy to finish and surprisingly easy to finish inefficiently. The water pressure is not the problem. The real completion traps are starting a job before checking its special condition, selling equipment that must eventually be owned at the same time, and turning a short nozzle run into an hour-long replay. This guide gives you a clean route through the 38-job campaign, all 40 base-game achievements, and the 10 achievements in the Adventure Time Pack.

The campaign starts small, then expands into multi-stage buildings, moving attractions, hidden rooms, and some very large endgame jobs.

The Short Version

  • Base campaign: 38 Career jobs, from Removals Van to Mount Rushless.
  • Time: roughly 25 to 35 hours for the base completion, depending on pace and co-op help.
  • Base achievements: 40 on Steam/Xbox, plus a platinum on PlayStation.
  • Steam total checked July 15, 2026: 50, because the Adventure Time Pack adds 10 more.
  • Missables: none permanently. Completed Career jobs can be replayed from the physical Job Map in the Home Base.
  • Online requirement: none for the base achievement set. Solo is fine.
  • Best cleanup job: Mobility Scooter for the three single-nozzle achievements.

The campaign is not a rigid single-file queue. New work can open while another job is unfinished, and progress is retained when you switch. That makes the big jobs less exhausting, but it also makes it easier to forget a first-or-last condition. Read the relevant row below before spraying.

A Low-Stress 100% Route

  1. Visit the Home Base before starting work. Pet the three cats, pick up the hidden gnome, examine Harper’s pinboard, and launch a job from the wall map. These take minutes.
  2. After Removals Van, finish the basic Home Base cleanup. Clean and place a free or cheap furniture item, equip clothing, and apply an affordable van cosmetic when you have the points.
  3. Play Career normally, but check each job below. Most job achievements are simple if you know about them before cleaning. A few require a target first, a target last, or one interaction with the scenery.
  4. Do not sell washers or attachments. The equipment achievements culminate in owning every washer and every attachment simultaneously. Selling creates extra grinding without helping the final requirement.
  5. Buy the surface cleaner before Fun House. Spin Doctor specifically needs it. Buying it earlier is useful on large flat areas anyway.
  6. Leave specialist nozzle runs for Free Play. Once the correct professional washers and attachments are unlocked, replay Mobility Scooter using only the required nozzle.
  7. Finish Mount Rushless, then audit the list. Anything missed can be replayed. The two community-reported trouble spots are Hatching a Plan and Squeaky Clean; do each target job in one uninterrupted session if a prior attempt failed.

Split-screen and online co-op can shorten large jobs. For target-first achievements, give one player sole responsibility for the target.

Full Campaign Order and Achievement Alerts

The order below is the base Career sequence. A blank alert does not mean the job has no secrets; it means there is no base achievement that demands a special cleaning order or interaction there.

The Rule Behind First and Last Achievements

A part is not considered cleaned merely because water touches it. The game cares when its named wash task reaches 100% and completes. A little overspray on a neighboring object is normally safe. Accidentally finishing that neighboring object’s task is what breaks a target-first attempt.

Use the task list as your safety system. Open it, select the required object, and let the orange world highlight show every component. For a target-last achievement, mark the protected task early, outline its edges with the red nozzle, then work away from it. For a target-first achievement, stay on the red nozzle until the final required component dings.

Early Career Achievement Details

Hit the Lights – Campsite

Equip the red nozzle before doing any real cleaning. The four required lanterns are near the approach/stepping stones, by the chair at the shack, on the firepit rim, and beside the telescope. The hanging light over the doorway is not one of the four. Do not complete some easy nearby prop while circling the area.

Doggy Bath – Dog Car

The wording is literal: every named wash task on the car must have soap on it at the same time. You do not need a perfectly white layer over the whole vehicle. Circle it with the soap nozzle, including the roof, mirrors, bumpers, wheels, wheel recesses, and low parts. Keep applying soap until the achievement triggers, then rinse normally.

High Pressure – Billboard

Place the abseil rig, hang from it, and complete one small wash task while suspended. A billboard letter is ideal because it is easy to track. You do not need to clean that part entirely from the rope; the final percent simply needs to complete while you are abseiling.

Tea Time and Rise and Shine – Teapot Tea Room

There are six outdoor seats and six gnomes. Two gnomes sit near the house, one is on its roof, and three are around the outer area. Put one on each seat. If Tea Time does not trigger, clean the seats, stand the gnomes upright, and reseat them. For Rise and Shine, place any gnome on the scissor lift platform and raise it fully. These can be done before finishing the building.

Where’s Woolly? – Shooting Gallery

The Bigfoot Target moves along the upper rear track behind the trees. Highlight it in the task list, track it with a narrow nozzle, and clean both sides before completing anything else. The target is small enough that patience beats chasing it with a wide spray.

Drop the Ball – Gas Station

The playground is behind the station. Carry the ball to the top of the slide and release it so it rolls down. If it falls away, pick it up and try again; there is no need to restart the job.

Hatching a Plan – Bandstand

The hatch is in the middle of the floor. It must be the final completed task. Clean its immediate border early with the red nozzle so you are not fighting dirty floor edges at 99%. Community reports indicate this achievement can be sensitive to leaving and returning, so do the full job in one session if possible.

Mid-Campaign Achievement Details

Floor is Lava – Stone Circle

All six pillars must be visited without touching the floor between them. Start on a short pillar at one side, move across the three pillars, use the raised central/rear stone route to cross, then land on the three opposite pillars. Falling only resets the traversal attempt, not the job.

Flying Start – Rock Climbing Park

The Pterodactyl is at the top of the climbing structure. Use the abseil equipment to reach it and complete every task that belongs to the creature before anything else. Be careful with the support beneath it. In co-op, have one person clean the Pterodactyl while everyone else waits.

Make it all Shine – Roller Disco

Clean the hanging Disco Ball first. It may also be called the Glitterball in some community guides, but the current official achievement page uses Disco Ball. Do not complete the rod that holds it. Use the ladder, work around the whole sphere, and wait for its task to ding before moving on.

Deep Lore – Temple Interior

This one is progression rather than precision. Clean the first temple chamber until the central stairs reveal themselves, at roughly half of the full job, then walk down. The hidden area and its murals are also a story bridge: community translation work treats the wall art as foreshadowing for later Career jobs. The exact mural-to-job mapping is not needed for any achievement and is best treated as interpretation, not a puzzle code.

The Temple Interior is a multi-stage job. Deep Lore unlocks when the first area opens the route below.

Message Received – Car & Trailer

Climb onto the trailer and complete the Satellite Dish first. Watch the vent next to it; the dish is quick, but so are some of the neighboring small tasks.

Front Row Seats – Theater

The entire front row is the target, not just the cushions. Clean the seat fronts, backs, undersides, armrests, row frame, and end letters before completing anything behind or around it. Highlight the front-row task group and move methodically from one end to the other.

Door to Door – Motel

There are six room entrances, three on each floor. Clean every Door, Door Handle, and Door Number first. Door frames, steps, and mats do not count and are dangerously easy to finish by accident. Use the red nozzle at the boundaries and confirm all 18 required task pieces before broad cleaning.

Late-Campaign Achievement Details

Ticket to Ride – Mini Roller Coaster

Use the control beside the cars, get into a car, and stay aboard for a full loop back to the loading area. Crouching in the car reduces the chance of being thrown out. If the ride ends before it registers, start it again and remain crouched for the whole circuit.

Cosmic Ordering – Solar System Exhibit

Complete the Sun first. Then complete the planets in this order:

  1. Mercury
  2. Venus
  3. Earth
  4. Mars
  5. Jupiter
  6. Saturn
  7. Uranus
  8. Neptune

Only the planet bodies define the sequence. Earth’s internal layers and Moon, the planetary rings, stands, signs, and other display pieces are separate tasks. The safest route is to ignore every optional piece until Neptune completes and the achievement appears.

Spin Doctor and Glissando! – Fun House

For Spin Doctor, take the SwirlForce Surf Ace surface cleaner into the downstairs rotating room and use it to complete any one Rotating Floor Disc. For Glissando!, find the giant piano on the upstairs balcony and spray every key from low to high, left to right. Include both white and black keys. A controlled sideways pass with the red nozzle is more reliable than waving a wide spray.

PowerWash Simulator 2 official screenshot of a hidden room with a gnome and wall constellations
Interactive scenery is part of the sequel’s completion language: gnomes, rides, pianos, lifts, and hidden rooms all matter.

Wise Decision – Shopping Mall

The Owl statue stands above the central fountain. Complete the Owl’s body, wings, legs/feet, and head before any other task. Do not complete the pedestal. Approach with the red nozzle and use a ladder or lift rather than spraying upward through the fountain structure.

Squeaky Clean – Town Floats

The Mouse is at the back of the last float, behind the rainbow. Clean everything else across all floats before touching its final percent. Save the Mouse body, head, ears, and tail. Community guides report better results when the tail is the final Mouse task and when the entire job is finished in one session. If the achievement fails despite a correct order, use that conservative route on replay.

Home Base Achievements

Achievement Action Useful detail
Purr Bonding Pet Squeak, Bubbles, and Ulysses. All three are in the upstairs living/office space.
Gnome from Home Find and pick up the hidden gnome. Look behind the open upstairs door leading toward the stairs.
Taking Note Examine an item on Harper’s pinboard. Use any available article in the small back office.
Geo-Cashing Select a Career job from the physical Job Map. Launching from the pause menu does not satisfy this specific interaction.
Home Decor Clean and place one furniture item. After the first job, claim a free/cheap item, retrieve it downstairs, wash it, and place it.
Dressed for Success Buy and equip a clothing cosmetic. Purchase in the Outfit Cosmetics area, then apply it in styling.
Radical Rebrand Buy and apply a van skin. Van cosmetics use PowerWash Points, not equipment cash.
Washing with Style Apply a washer skin. Washer cosmetics arrive late; check again after professional equipment unlocks.

Equipment Achievements Without Wasting Money

The washer achievements test ownership, not past purchases. You must own the required washer tier and all of its attachments at the same time. Maxed Out extends that rule across the full equipment catalogue, including the surface cleaner. Career jobs provide the equipment money; Free Play replays provide practice and points but should not be treated as an infinite cash farm.

  • Leading Light: own a light-duty washer and all its attachments.
  • Happy Medium: own a medium-duty washer and all its attachments.
  • Heavy Water: own a heavy-duty washer and all its attachments.
  • Consummate Professional: own a professional-duty washer and all its attachments.
  • Flush Surface: own the surface cleaner and all its heads/attachments.
  • Maxed Out: own every washer and attachment simultaneously.

Buy useful upgrades as the campaign asks for them, but never sell old gear. Cosmetic currency is separate, so a van color or outfit does not steal cash from Maxed Out. By the final Career job you should have the money needed if you have kept the catalogue rather than trading it away.

The Three Nozzle-Only Runs

Achievement Required setup Recommended replay
Staying Adaptable Complete a whole job using only the Adaptable Nozzle. Mobility Scooter; available relatively early.
Three-Pronged Approach Use only the Prime Vista Triple-Tip Nozzle. Mobility Scooter after buying the Prime Vista Pro setup.
Double Top Use only the UrbanX Double Turbo Nozzle. Mobility Scooter after buying the UrbanX Stream setup.

“Only” means do not clean any part with another nozzle or soap. Extensions are safe because the active cleaning nozzle remains the same. Before starting, equip the required washer and nozzle in the Home Base, load the replay, and avoid opening the nozzle wheel out of habit.

Cleaning Faster Without Missing the Last 1%

  • Work top to bottom. Dirt runoff is mostly visual, but a top-down route reduces backtracking and keeps lifts out of clean areas.
  • Separate broad passes from detail passes. Use a wide nozzle for open surfaces, then switch narrow for seams, bolts, undersides, lettering, and joints.
  • Highlight one missing task at a time. The task list and orange world highlight are better than circling a giant object while holding the dirt-vision button.
  • Change your angle before changing tools. A stubborn sliver is often on the back edge or underside, not resistant dirt.
  • Use the surface cleaner where it can stay flat. It is excellent on large floors and rotating discs, poor around clutter and vertical detail.
  • Use soap selectively. Soap is strongest when a broad patch has genuinely stubborn grime. It is not a substitute for reaching the hidden side of a part.
  • Split co-op by geography. Give each player a room, floor, or side. On first/last achievements, assign the protected target to one player and keep everyone else away until it triggers.

If an Achievement Does Not Pop

  1. Check the official wording in your platform list. Some community pages use alternate labels such as Glitterball for Disco Ball, or an old typo for Double Top.
  2. Open the task list and confirm every required sub-part reached 100%. “Clean the Owl” includes several named Owl components.
  3. For a first condition, verify no other named task completed before the target. Mere overspray is not failure.
  4. For a nozzle run, verify no soap or alternate nozzle cleaned even a small percentage of a task.
  5. For Tea Time, clean the seats and reseat all six gnomes.
  6. For Hatching a Plan or Squeaky Clean, replay the whole job in one uninterrupted session.
  7. If the condition was correct, return to the Home Base, restart the game, and retry in Free Play. No base achievement requires deleting Career progress.

Adventure Time Pack: 10-Achievement Cleanup

When this guide was checked on July 15, 2026, Steam’s global list contained 50 achievements: 40 from the base game and 10 from the paid Adventure Time Pack. Later content can expand that count. The five Adventure Time jobs are separate from the 38-job base Career, so they do not change It All Comes Out in the Wash.

Achievement Job Requirement
Who Wants to Play Videogames? Living Room Pet BMO on the coffee table.
Homies Help Homies Living Room Complete the job.
Door Lord Pizza Sassy’s Clean all three doors first: panels, handles, and windows. Avoid completing the frames.
Give Me a Hug, Hero Pizza Sassy’s Complete the job.
Oh My Glob! Ice King’s Castle Clean the Handbag last with the Cage Door closed. Finish it from outside the cage.
King of Cool Ice King’s Castle Complete the job.
ONLY ONE!!! Candy Vehicles Complete the job using only the Adaptable Nozzle.
Mmm… Acceptable!!! Candy Vehicles Complete the job.
The Limit Tree House Raise the Jake Scissor Lift to maximum height.
Party God! Tree House Complete the job.

For Oh My Glob!, clean the cage interior and the hard-to-reach side of the Handbag early without completing it. Leave the cage, close the door, finish every other task, and deliver the final spray from outside. Community testing suggests a single-session clear is the safest approach.
