Choose Logos or Mythos after Iris Hamlet without worrying that the other half of Talea will disappear. The decision changes which cities, Animon, and boss checks you meet first; it does not permanently close the opposite route. A clean story run therefore has three movements: earn Geo in Iris, clear both regional chains in either order, then take the combined set of Holoken powers into Memorenia and Magnolia.
Research was frozen on July 18, 2026. The newest official developer update available was Hotfix 4, released July 7 to fix an unavoidable black screen in an early cutscene. Hotfix 3 had already repaired the missing Glacial Peak puzzle piece, a Nuclheart phase problem, and several evolution issues. Install the current update before treating a missing object or unresponsive story flag as a puzzle.

Story spoiler warning: the directions below name major bosses, reveal the consequences of several decisions, and follow the route through the final AARI sequence.
The faction fork is an itinerary, not a lock
The most useful way to read the world map is as two tool chains. Logos supplies Aura, Electric, Toxic, and Data interactions. Mythos supplies Grass, Water, and the route into Ancient. Magnolia assumes that you recognize all of them. If a late dungeon presents several kinds of machinery in one room, the answer is usually to change the Holoken infusion rather than hunt for a new key.
| Story segment | Main progression test | What leaves the segment with you |
|---|---|---|
| Iris Hamlet and Scarlet Woods | Starter tutorial, Iotamor, the Kapan decision, and Pymant | Geo Holoken and the Logos/Mythos fork |
| Logos: Arsilia, Voltar, Paradine, Speranova | Prison gates, generator shutdown, district rescue, and laser/teleporter rooms | Aura, Electric, Toxic, and Data Holoken powers |
| Mythos: Mirasilva, Costa Linda, Altipetra, Memorenia | Baza’s palace, the festival emergency, Morsiver, and the Aeolyc temple | Grass, Water, and Ancient Holoken powers |
| Magnolia | AARI floor switches, captives, relic pieces, lasers, and the rooftop battles | The ending sequence |
There are several decisions that should not be clicked through. Helping Kapan in the ruined house keeps him alive; ignoring him does not. North versus south determines the first regional chain, not a permanent exclusion. In Paradine, taking the nearby rope saves Pitan, after which he is arrested; walking away lets him fall. Mirasilva gives opportunities to confront Baza, and Altipetra lets Trey stay awake for Elodie’s warning or ignore it. Make a manual save before each clearly staged choice if you want a different story state later.
Build one travel-ready party before Iris falls
The first starter recommendation is based on the opening personality answers, but the lab allows any of the five candidates. The practical concern is coverage, not color. Do not pour every stat point into one number until you have seen whether the Animon’s useful skills attack physically or specially, and keep at least one teammate that can answer the next boss weakness without forcing a full rebuild.
Research and capture are separate decisions. Scan the same species three times when you want its AniWiki research completed. In the field, a Bilia can be aimed directly with the Holoken; a failed catch can enrage the target. Against a stronger Animon, enter battle, weaken it, and use the catch opportunity from a controlled state. AniWiki opens after leaving Iris Hamlet and records captured species, scan information, items, and collectibles, so check the entry instead of relying on the overworld model alone.
Before a Lumen Match or a story dungeon, use the Animon information screen to spend unassigned stats and review learned skills. Carry recovery items, but do not recycle every material for quick experience. Glass, metal, quartz, anivite, flowers, food, and ordinary crafting stock become quest requirements in Speranova. Selling or recycling the entire bag merely moves the grind from combat to resource gathering.

Iris Hamlet: earn Geo before following the map outward
After the first Holoken scene, go southeast from Kapan’s house and drop to Ales. The initial field catch is scripted as a tutorial outcome, so do not restart repeatedly if that target escapes. In the lab, defeat the chosen starter with Kapan’s Lampecko, lower it to the instructed threshold, and complete the Bilia prompt.
The Scarlet Woods job begins at the town-square fountain. Defeat or catch five Smellwings, then handle their evolved leader, Toxigall. When Max asks for help, search the western and southwestern woods for Mollupom before going to the lake peninsula. Mollupom gives early Geo coverage and is useful against the coming bosses. Iotamor is vulnerable to Lightning, Aura, and Geo; beating it unlocks Geo infusion for the Holoken, provided a compatible Animon is available to channel it.
When Iris is attacked, falling debris blocks the obvious road through town. Move toward the Scarlet Woods entrance and take the descending side route to the damaged house. This is the Kapan decision: Help Kapan saves him, while doing nothing is a fatal outcome. Continue to the square for Pymant. Water, Lightning, and Geo are the useful answers here, and the fight is the first good test of whether you actually spent the stat points earned during the woods route.
At the camp, Blanco explains the north-south division. Logos leads first into technological cities; Mythos begins with the traditions surrounding Animon. Pick the route whose available creatures and environment interest you, not the one you fear is mandatory. The article follows Logos first because that is the fully cross-checked order in the regional walkthrough set. If your objective sends you south, jump to the Mythos section and return to Logos after the story directs the party back through Iris.
Logos is a four-city chain of machines and field powers
Arsilia: chase the pickpocket, then learn the prison’s color logic
Leave Iris through Area 1 and follow the route to Arsilia. The pickpocket stops at four useful landmarks: near a tree northeast of the chase start, beside a shop to the south, above the escalator toward the east, and finally in the northwestern alley by the river. After meeting Ban under the bridge, finish the spare-parts task and visit Ban and Mina’s house. The Archives sequence is the real progression gate.
Interact with the generator in the northern Archives and use an Aura-affinity Animon to gain Aura infusion. Purple fans now respond to the Holoken, and the same power exposes otherwise invisible paths. When Ban is taken, reach the courtroom, pass through the upper-right room, defeat the Lumen guarding the prison access, and descend.
Treat the prison as a three-authorization route:
- Open the red-gate route and defeat the Lumen holding the Left access code.
- Set the central panel to Left. Use Aura on the invisible bridges, work the purple fans, and press the switch that opens the southern approach. The Lumen at the end supplies the South Bridge code.
- Set the panel south. In the room with beds, inspect behind them for the concealed block switch. Reach Ban’s cell, defeat the arriving Lumen, and take All access.
Return to the panel with All access. The north wing still has a red obstruction, so revisit the right side and change the red fan before crossing. Beat the warden, press the control at her desk, and take the stairs to the courtroom. Knequital is a multi-bar boss with a charged attack after its health falls; Ground coverage is the safe answer. After the trial, the choice to leave with Ales or deal with the officials changes the scene but does not create a new dungeon. The city closes with three squad battles, a heal, and the captain fight.
Voltar: the mini-games are switches, not score challenges
Exit Arsilia north into Area 17 and spin the Aura fan. Area 18 has an upper and lower layer; once you drop south of the Lumen Camp, use the southern route rather than trying to climb back up immediately. Circle the energy barrier, cross Area 21, and enter Voltar.
The Lumen program pauses for the Popularity Tournament. Ride the cart beside the club, visit the Ferris wheel, accept Nanai’s challenge, then register at the club. The stage is in the upper building above the generator. When the third match is interrupted, descend toward the generator. Every arcade stop on this descent is an authorization switch: participation clears the corresponding energy wall, so a record score is unnecessary.
Blumester waits at the deepest generator point. Toxic attacks are favored, while Fire and Ground are poor choices. Its Diamond Spike becomes dangerous after the midpoint, so preserve a healthy attacker with the right coverage instead of exposing the whole party early. Victory grants Electric Holoken infusion. Rest, return to the upper stage, clear the squad, and beat Anne to finish Voltar.

Paradine: rescue seven groups, then ignore Nuclheart’s adds
Travel north from Voltar through Areas 18, 19, and the bridges of Area 24. Paradine uses a subway instead of one continuous street. Visit Residential, Industrial, Farming, and Central as Pitan directs, then sleep at the club. The stadium battle is interrupted by a storm, turning the city tour into a rescue checklist.
The required civilians are distributed as two in Industrial, three in Residential, and two in Farming. Industrial places one group across the left bridge and another north of the entrance. Residential places a group just left of entry, another in the northwest, and the last in the northern section. Farming places one above the first stairs and the other beside the greenhouse-like structure. Return to Cinque after each district so the rescue state advances.
At Edenheart, Nuclheart creates three supporting Animon. Do not burn resources repeatedly defeating them; Nuclheart replaces them. Concentrate damage on the Toxic main body and favor Ice coverage. Its defeat removes the adds and unlocks Toxic Holoken portals. When Pitan is hanging above the pit, pick up the nearby rope if you want him alive. The resumed Lumen Match again heals the party before the captain, but Elio’s composition is the first strong warning that stat allocation and current skills matter more than simply bringing a favorite type.
Speranova: bring materials before entering Pepper’s four tests
From Area 24, go west through Area 25 and then north into Speranova. The spiritual team at the camp resists much of the elemental chart, so keep a plain reliable attack available. In the city, take the lift to the first floor, speak to Zero in the cathedral, defeat his guards, then ride to the upper building where Pepper assigns four tests.
- Top-left: defeat the waiting Lumen to unlock Data infusion.
- Bottom-left: supply 20 Glass, 20 Metal, 10 Quartz, and one Anivite Chunk. Clubs sell the common materials; glowing deposits around Areas 2 and 3 provide the rarer ore.
- Top-right: win the direct Lumen battle.
- Bottom-right: complete three supply requests. Ales needs 10 Glass, 10 Metal, and five Anivite pieces. Trey’s Cotolino uses cooked Pane, white meat, and a Tomato; a Logos-first run can collect the Tomato in Area 23. Nada’s Potion+ requires 10 Purple Poppies plus three each of Plastic, Glass, and Anivite; the flowers grow in Iris Hamlet’s residential area.
When Pepper fails and the cathedral locks, go west from Area 25 to Glacial Peak. The opening teleporter sequence is right, right, northwest, far right. After meeting Darda, take the right portal behind him, aim the Data laser into its receiver, and use the activated lift.
In the depths, the first generator lies along the left branch: use the portal behind Darda, then the far-right portal, and continue right. For the second generator, return to the lift, take the southeast branch, choose the third portal from the left, go left at the next section, then travel south in the large room. The newly opened southwest route eventually reaches Arct-Rex. Geo and Chi are useful against this Ice boss; Toxic and Water are not.
Back in the cathedral, solve the north Data receiver first. The west wing teaches that a laser may be redirected after it has opened a path. The east wing ends at a two-indicator gate: light the left receiver, then briefly activate and turn off the right-side device so the correct gate state remains. After Kines changes Zero into Kentaress, use Electric pressure and avoid leaning on Toxic or Geo. Clear Darda’s match and speak to Zero. The story then points back to Iris before the other faction route.
Return to Iris before treating Mythos as a fresh campaign
Fast-travel to the Arsilia Lumen Club if Iris itself is not yet an available destination, then walk back. Rest at the Lavender Den northeast of the square and report to the southern Lumen Camp the next morning. The Iris squad battles lead to the XP Encoder, which banks part of earned experience for repeated use on a chosen Animon. Use it to repair a weak link in the roster, not to push an already dominant attacker farther ahead.
The rebuilt town also reflects the Kapan flag. If he was saved, his presence and Ales’s movements follow that state. Do not compare this transition scene line-for-line with a save where he died and assume the quest is broken.
Mythos replaces machine gates with spatial trial rooms

Mirasilva: Grass Holoken is the grammar of Baza’s palace
From Scarlet Woods, take the southern exit into Area 1, continue through Area 2 to Area 6, and use the northeastern city entrance. Defeat the black-clad attacker just outside Mirasilva; the encounter unlocks synchronization. Inside the Cave of Miracles, interact with the statue beneath the tree to obtain Grass infusion and its grapple function.
After Baza takes Nada and bars Trey from the Lumen Match, climb to the palace. Each trial changes the route rather than merely opening a treasure room:
- Pull the lever in the left room, then use a Grass grapple in the middle room to reach the switch.
- Open the lanterns on the left, including the one revealed by the unusual statue. In the right water room, hit the statue to drain it, defeat the waiting opponent, and clear the spike rows.
- Strike the three drums until every tatami door shows the green crest, repeating the pattern for all three sets. Rescue Nada and press the room switch before leaving.
- Open four lanterns to rearrange the floor rows. The darker tatami tiles are safe. Work the right-side lever, find the lantern behind the second of four left-side gates, descend to defeat Rezza, and activate the central switch.
Dualine begins in a smaller form and returns as a larger second phase with the same basic matchup: Chi is useful and Toxic is resisted. Baza’s dialogue prompts let Trey challenge his conduct or stay quiet; the supplied choice reference confirms that the confrontation is meaningful but does not prove every late-ending permutation, so save before the exchange if you want to test it. After Dualine, sleep, complete the three squad battles and Mango rematch, then meet Ales for the Costa Linda route.
Costa Linda: finish all three festival activities before going to the docks
Travel south from Mirasilva through Areas 6 and 9. Speak to Nipo at the southwestern lighthouse. The festival requires the beach battles, the Coccobello observation game, and a three-stage hide-and-seek search. Lino’s hiding places are west of the starting point beside the Lumen Club, in the interior corner reached by going south from the entrance and turning left/up, and behind the western fountain.
Only after all three events should you return to Nipo and Nina. The emergency moves to the docks and the Bella Rossa. This Blumester variant is vulnerable to Grass, Lightning, and Demonic attacks, while Water, Fire, and Toxic are poor choices. Victory unlocks Water infusion, which creates routes over lava and extinguishes burning mechanisms. The next-day squad battle takes place aboard the ship and awards the Meridemblem needed for the journey toward Altipetra.
Altipetra: stay awake before the ritual
Use the cave beyond Costa Linda and cross Areas 10, 11, and 12. Follow the cliffs rightward and keep distance from the explosive mouse-like Animon; an overworld detonation can ruin a healthy party before the village sequence begins. In Altipetra, meet Lacuna below and east of the club, enter the cave restaurant, then follow the misunderstanding outside until Elodie and the elder approve the match and ritual visit.
At the club that night, Stay awake to hear Elodie’s warning that Lacuna is intended as a sacrifice to Morsiver. The first ritual battle and the stronger Volcanic Depths rematch share the same useful coverage: Aura, Chi, and Water. Psychic and Geo are resisted, while Demonic attacks are ineffective. After the first defeat, leave the stadium, move up and right, and use the eastern slope to reach Nada’s barrier in the depths. Win the second fight, return to the surface, rest, and focus down Elodie’s Pinouflage quickly during the captain match so her recovery-heavy team cannot reset the turn cycle.
Memorenia joins Water, Fire, Grass, and Ancient into one route
Cross the bridge from Altipetra into Area 13, use the Hoverboard from the beach, and exit right from Area 14 into Memorenia. The captain will not accept a normal club registration. Visit the palace, return to the play near the club, follow Rei into the nearby building, and accept the search at the damaged house.
From Area 14’s left beach, move south to the cliff stairs. Use Water on the bubble device, ride the bubble to the thorn-covered ledge, and burn the thorns with Fire. The fleeing Sapsy appears first by three pillars reached from the southern bridge, then in a pillar’s shadow near the bubble device, and finally above the damaged building. For the last position, ride the bubble again and use Grass on the grapple point.
Return the Sapsy, then follow Rei toward the southwestern port. His identity as Prince Mars is revealed after the confrontation with Timo. The next morning, inspect the barrier around the palace and interact with the stadium crystal to gain Ancient infusion. Damame then sends the party to the Aeolyc Islands.
Circle the port to its beach, ride north across the water, and continue through Area 15. On the islands, prioritize the northern route: climb from the machines to the small beach, cross again, use the Grass grapple, and climb to Katamoss. Toxic is useful; Aura does nothing and Ancient is resisted. The battle enables creation of the Anivis Key.
The sealed temple is entered through the cave northeast of the port. Collect the three circular relic pieces instead of searching the visible barrier: one is close to the cave entrance, one is beyond the stairs near the entrance, and the last is left of the incomplete gate deeper inside. Reassemble them at the gate, defeat Emans, then prepare for Primalong. Ice and Data are its clear weaknesses. After half health, Excisio can strike several teammates; near defeat, Plus Ultra raises the boss’s stats and makes misses more likely. Save a multi-hit move for that final bar instead of assuming one heavy strike will connect. Beat Damame afterward and visit Mars. Magnolia becomes the next destination only after both regional chains are complete.
Magnolia’s point of no return begins at the Lumen Club
Fast-travel to the Iris Lumen Club, cross Scarlet Woods, and continue south through Area 1 toward Area 5. Defeat Niki, then follow the southern road into Magnolia. Meet Ander in the Central Piazza by entering the Rustic Quarter and going north. When the club offers to wait for the tournament, finish shopping, party changes, and optional saves first. Accepting advances the story into a long sequence with forced perspective changes.
At the stadium, take the right-hand path and lift to the upper arena. The narrative switches between Trey, Ales, and Nada until Blanco imprisons Trey and disables ordinary Holokens. In the cell, interact with the bed, follow the restored memory marker, then use the recovered Geo power to break out.
AARI Floor 1: four switches and captives worth rescuing
The west laser gate requires four switches. Match each obstacle to its field tool: Geo breaks damaged walls, Toxic moves the compatible carts, Water extinguishes the two fire-blocked routes, and Electric restores the disabled lift. The vice-captains held in capsules are optional for navigation but not strategically neutral. Freeing them lowers Blanco’s defense in the rooftop battle, so search each opened chamber before leaving the floor.
If the party runs dry, return to Trey’s original cell and use the bed. It restores the Animon and is safer than consuming the last recovery items before the second-floor puzzle chain.
AARI Floor 2: order the pillars, assemble the relic, aim every laser
Fire pillars are labeled by white-dot count; light them in ascending order. In the room where some pillars remain underground, use Electric on the outlet in the upper-right corner before attempting the sequence. Two relic pieces are in the upper-left room. The lower-right room holds the other two: one on a pedestal and one in its lower-left corner.
Raise the disabled lift near the floor entrance with Electric. In the upper laser room, direct beams into both circles on the target box. The lower room has three boxes, each with two receivers; all six must be lit. Reassembling the four-piece relic creates the bridge to the last switch. When every switch is active, take the southern exit, beat Emans, and continue through the perspective change.
The rooftop sequence rewards preparation more than grinding
Inside the main AARI building, use the vending machines before climbing. Two maze-like rooms each contain a switch; both are required for the final laser gate. Beat Kines, then use the office-level bed and trainer. This is the intended recovery and leveling point, and a defeat ahead returns the party here.
Blanco fields six Animon before Eterjian. Rescuing vice-captains reduces his defensive advantage. Eterjian is vulnerable to Lightning and Geo but resists several common elements, including Fire and Ice; Aura-resistant teammates help absorb its spread damage. The following Ales shooting sequence requires 25 targets, but contact only resets Ales’s position, not the running count.
Majetsune is the final endurance check: eight health bars, severe damage, and a Data-based Glitch_Wave. Ancient and Aura are the useful offensive types. The readable route reference recommends a party around level 70 for consistency, but treat that as a preparation benchmark rather than a patch-proof requirement. The better readiness test is whether several teammates can survive one cycle, heal or stabilize, and keep Ancient/Aura pressure active without depending on a single fragile attacker.
When progress stalls, identify the missing state
A route problem in LumenTale usually belongs to one of four states:
- Objective state: a receptionist, captain, companion, or rest prompt has not advanced the current quest. Re-read the active objective and repeat the most recent required conversation.
- Holoken state: the obstacle expects a specific element and a compatible Animon. Match its material and color to a power already earned.
- Room state: a switch opened one route while closing another. Revisit the last fan, laser, lantern, or control panel instead of grinding.
- Build state: the object or cutscene is genuinely absent. Confirm that Hotfix 4 or later is installed. Hotfix 3 repaired the missing Wicedom puzzle piece and Nuclheart’s second-form issue; Hotfix 2 addressed a Temple Underground progression failure and several softlocks.
Do not overwrite the only save while testing a suspected softlock. Use another slot if available, leave and re-enter the area once, and try fast travel when the map permits it. If the same required object remains absent in the current build, preserve the save and report the quest name, area, and last completed objective to the developer rather than rebuilding the entire party.
