Steam currently shows 25 MOTORSLICE achievements, but only 15 need deliberate setup. Ten mark chapter completion. The efficient cleanup plan is to pair the combat tasks with early enemy groups, carry five Orb Drones before banking them once, and finish the camera/menu interactions away from a risky checkpoint.
Version boundary: the list and public descriptions were checked on July 19, 2026. Version 1.05 is the latest named gameplay update in the official feed, with a June 6 hotfix edit. Its notes include a repair for the Orb Drone achievement after save corruption or save transfer. Check the current update notes if that achievement does not register.

Let the story supply the first ten checks
These unlock in order and do not require an Orb route, difficulty setting, or alternate decision:
| Achievement | Required progress |
|---|---|
| Arrival | Complete Chapter 0 |
| City | Complete Chapter 1 |
| Canal | Complete Chapter 2 |
| Falls | Complete Chapter 3 |
| Overpass | Complete Chapter 4 |
| Pillars | Complete Chapter 5 |
| Rig | Complete Chapter 6 |
| Quarry | Complete Chapter 7 |
| Desert | Complete Chapter 8 |
| Ascend | Finish the Chapter 9 epilogue |
Chapter 9 is short but not automatic at the end of the Flying Train. Slice up the final pillar through the credits, move toward the flashing lights, and wall-jump through the rain opening. The scene outside is the completion trigger for Ascend.
Stack four combat setups into Chapters 1 and 2
Chainsaw Girl asks for a kill made by releasing the held chainsaw attack. Chapter 1 introduces that charged attack in its open-city checkpoint and places Diggers on stable ground. Hold until the attack is ready, release into a damaged Digger, and confirm that the charged hit – not a follow-up swing – delivers the kill.
Recycle requires a physics object to hit an enemy. The same City section has tires, barrels, blocks, and Diggers. Stand so the enemy is beyond the loose object, then strike the object toward it. A contact that only moves the object without hitting the enemy does not satisfy the description.
Trap becomes straightforward at the start of Chapter 2. Wait in the path of a swinging trap and attack at its impact tell. A successful parry reverses or disables its immediate hit. Do this on a spacious approach instead of beside a canal gap.
Crowd Control needs one returned saw to kill two enemies. Use a group containing Sawblade launchers and another enemy, line two targets behind the incoming projectile, and return it with a charged strike. If the saw kills only the launcher, change P’s angle so the return line passes through both targets rather than repeating the same position.
Use one boss and one carried Orb for the last two combat tasks
Parry That! unlocks on a boss parry. The earliest reproducible choices are the Dump Truck’s incoming tire and the Helicopter’s saw projectile. The Grader is an especially visible later fallback because a successful blade parry tips the entire machine onto its side. Use the current client if the Excavator scoop parry feels inconsistent; version 1.05 fixed a Boss 5 parry-window problem.
We are here for you! is not earned by banking an Orb Drone. Collect one so it follows P, place it between P and an enemy, and hit the Orb with the chainsaw so it travels into the target. Choose a lone Digger on a flat floor: a pit, grinder, or Sawblade projectile can interrupt the setup before the Orb makes contact.

Separate the 30-Orb total from the five-Orb carry
Orb Drone unlocks at 30 collected Drones. A Drone begins following P when touched and becomes safely recorded when taken to a triangulation point. If P dies before reaching that marker, an unbanked Drone returns to its original location. The chapter guides contain many more opportunities than the achievement requires, so a first run does not need a perfect collectible sweep.
Cargo Train asks P to retrieve at least five Orb Drones at once. Do not bank the first four individually. Choose a dense group with a known triangulation marker, collect five followers during the same carry, then enter the marker with the full group. Suitable clusters appear in Falls, Pillars, Rig, Quarry, and Desert. A flat rooftop or statue field is safer than a cluster split across grinders or instant-kill mines.
If the 30-Orb achievement does not appear after the in-game state suggests it should, install version 1.05 or later, restart the client once, bank one additional Drone, and recheck. The official notes specifically mention save-corruption and save-transfer handling; repeating the entire story is not the first repair step.
Finish five P interactions and one Orbie outcome
These six are independent of story completion, although the prologue gives safe opportunities for two of them:
- Selfie: open the camera and take a selfie. Chapter 0 prompts this near its final pillar, so accepting that prompt is the low-friction route.
- Slack off: during any Slack Off scene, wait for the interactive/dialogue state and select P rather than advancing immediately.
- Tsundere: frame P’s face closely and use the camera zoom until she blushes. A stationary Slack Off scene makes the reaction easier to hold on screen.
- Point that thing in another direction! turn on the flashlight and aim it into P’s face until she reacts. Do this in a calm area where the camera can remain centered.
- P-oke: on the main menu, repeatedly interact with P’s face until she rage-quits. On PC this can close the game, so do it after a saved checkpoint rather than in the middle of another setup.
- Orbie Hater: angle the camera low enough for the chainsaw to hit Orbie. Continue until the screen-crack feedback completes the outcome and the checkpoint resets. The achievement usually registers after three hits; if one swing misses, follow the visual feedback rather than the swing count.

Rank P is the audit, not a separate challenge
Rank P unlocks after the other achievements. Steam includes it in the displayed total of 25; platform-specific trophy pages may describe the same completion check as the platinum. If it remains locked, audit the 24 individual entries rather than replaying Ascend.
A practical final order is:
- Confirm all ten chapter names through Ascend.
- Check the two Orb entries separately: 30 total and five carried together.
- Complete the six combat tasks, especially Crowd Control and the Orb launch.
- Do the four camera/menu reactions, Slack off, and Orbie Hater.
- Restart the client once after synchronizing Steam if every individual item is present but Rank P has not appeared.
When an action looks correct but does not register
- For Chainsaw Girl, make the released hold attack deliver the final damage.
- For Crowd Control, verify that one reflected projectile kills both targets; two rapid returns do not match the description.
- For Cargo Train, keep all five Drones following P before entering triangulation.
- For Slack off, interact during the scene’s active choice window rather than before the cursor becomes available.
- For Tsundere and the flashlight reaction, keep P’s face centered until the character response finishes.
- For Orb Drone or Rank P, update and restart before beginning a new save. Version 1.05 directly addressed an Orb-state edge case.
Check the current achievement list and build
Compare your list with Steam’s official MOTORSLICE achievement page, which showed 25 names and descriptions on the check date. The official store listing confirms AppID 2830030 and the May 5, 2026 release date. If a trigger differs, check the official news feed for a build newer than version 1.05 before repeating the setup.
