Wax Heads Walkthrough: Rad Picks for All 19 Tracks

Wax Heads checkout screen showing the Still Mimi recommendation for a customer

Wax Heads does not usually stop you with a traditional puzzle. It stops you with two plausible records, a customer who remembers the wrong title, or a clue hidden on a sleeve, phone post, magazine, outfit, or receipt. This route gives the Rad choice for every sale across Tracks 1-19, while also flagging the drink orders, multi-record checkouts, and optional receipt codes that are easy to mistake for story choices.

Current-build boundary: research was frozen on July 19, 2026 using the post-launch PC record and the official June 10 Patch #1.0.5 notes. That patch changed a few failure points for achievement hunters and corrected Track 15 dialogue presentation. If an older guide disagrees with a later community list, the route below favors the later answer when it also matches the customer’s visible clue.

A Rad sale depends on the record, not decorative receipt icons, unless the customer is carrying a separate Wax Pack code.

Choose the rule for wrong answers before Track 1

Customer Is Always Right is the practical first-run mode because a rejected album can be taken back and replaced. No Refunds makes the deduction stick. The story route is the same, but a wrong pick is much more expensive when you are protecting a Rad streak. If you want to solve blind, read the customer first, decide whether the clue points to an artist, cover, history, price, or mood, and reveal only that customer’s row below.

Three checks prevent most false answers:

  • Rotate or open the record when the clue mentions the disc, a note, a symbol sequence, liner text, or a hidden credit.
  • Read the latest Phonogram post and the newest store magazine before assuming an artist name is literal.
  • For two- or three-person orders, place every required album in the cart before printing the receipt.

The shop changes as the story advances. A shelf direction from Track 2 can be useless by Track 15, so this route identifies the artist and title first and uses location only as a tie-breaker.

1 Mimi Superfan
Tony
Alexis
Winston
Kelly
Mimi – Still Mimi
Let’s Fuzz – Untitled Grass
The Secret Male Choir Club – Vol Two: Edmund Hall
Roland Tipsy – Peep
Sister – Snake
Still Mimi is marked new. Tony’s pick is the steep discount beside Bad Toes. Peep carries the saxophone clue. The rain cloud Kelly describes is on the disc for Snake, not its sleeve.
2 Billy
Chloe
Kaz
Lewis
Clarissa
Bad Toes – Bad Toes
Sister – Sister
Ego, Sunny Side Up – Self Deprecating Toast and Jam
Bad Toes – Bad Toes
Mimi – Still Mimi
Give Chloe the self-titled red/lightning Sister record rather than the harsher Door to a Light. Clarissa describes her own taste, but the birthday purchase is for her daughter, which turns “nothing new” into the new Mimi album.
3 Craig
Mascot Dad
Lawrence
Chip Lennington
Patri
Bricked Ego – Can Yer Grins!
Gareth Gringle – Going Gringles
Brick Dog – Live at the Snack Bar 2013
Gareth Gringle – Going Gringles
Bricked Ego – Can Yer Grins!
Craig’s puppy names point to the surviving Brick Dog members. For Mascot Dad, his reaction to the beard clue matters more than his muffled noises. Lawrence wants pre-solo Brick Dog without Gringle.
4 Ishaan
Rod
Ali
Patri
Hank at the Apple Bed
Bad Toes – Bad Toes
Ego, Sunny Side Up – Self Deprecating Toast and Jam
Brick Dog – Bruck
Let’s Fuzz – Untitled Grass
Can’t drink
Paul’s zine establishes Bad Toes as local. Rod wants an earlier band, not the supergroup release. Older pages call the Let’s Fuzz title “Unlimited Grass”; use the Let’s Fuzz grass record shown as Untitled Grass in the later list. For Hank, pick Can’t, not the similar beer substitute named in one early summary.

Rod also opens the optional Wax Pack chain. Put heart, cat, cat, cat, heart on his receipt to recover the storage-room clue. The symbols do not improve his Rad rating; they unlock a separate secret route.

Tracks 5-9 start hiding answers outside the conversation

Winston
Jarhead Dennis
Tony
Nia Pixel – Now Play This
Snarl – Deadly Last Gasp of Freedom
RXX – Levitation
Jarhead – The Bloated Belljar
Pale – Ghost Bucket
Turn over Now Play This for the game code. Phonogram identifies RXX as Reggie Xavier. Dennis wants the leftmost Jarhead confession record; an early walkthrough transcribes the title as “Blooded,” while the later guide calls it The Bloated Belljar. Tony wants a discount specifically from the new stock.
6 Summer
Mei
Billy
Steven
Hidden Customer
Dirt – Rearview Collapse
Pink Sq. – Campsite
Snarl – Eye Tried
Gecko Jester – Absurd Realities
Mimi – Mecha Mimi Meets Mother
Steven’s gecko-patterned coat is more useful than his pile of band merchandise. The hidden customer is resolved through the current Phonogram story around Mimi.
7 Chloe and Marco
Gordy
Lin and Roy
Priya
Darren
Nia Pixel – Now Play This
Sister – Snake
Shatter Fist – Shatter Fist and Snarl – Deadly Last Gasp of Freedom
Dirt – Rearview Collapse
Mimi – Mecha Mimi Meets Mother
The magazine corrects “Kevin” to Calvin and separates his double-thumbs-up pick from his number-one record. For the optional Milk Bottle key, Priya’s receipt is cat, gravestone, sick face, heart, metal horns.
8 Ali and Patri
George
Mike
Lira and Mascot Dad
Rashida
Morgan at the Apple Bed
Minnie & Minx – Fundam
Snarl – Eye Tried
Pale – Ghost Bucket
Minnie & Minx – Fundam
Snarl – Deadly Last Gasp of Freedom
15 Eunomia Helles drink
Eye Tried is the loud collector’s edition. Ghost Bucket’s sleeve text supplies the stoner-rock clue. Morgan asks for a beer tied to outer space, which is why the asteroid-brewed Helles fits.
9 Theo
Kelsey
Alicia
Mystery Shopper
Shy Robot – Continue…?
Aiko Suzuki – Wind Poems
Ego, Sunny Side Up – Self Deprecating Toast and Jam
Shy Robot – Continue…?
Kelsey wants the yellow, sun-like disc rather than a sunny cover. Alicia’s “daring weasel” wording points back to Robbie Dare and his earliest band. The masked shopper supplies the Shy Robot visual pun.

When a request uses a real name, a guest artist, or an alias, check the phone feed and both sides of the sleeve before shopping by sound alone.

Roberta D – Crab Dream
Roberta D – Xtac-500
Roberta D – Doomsday Hero (Drought)
“Go Romane Trick” is a sound-alike for Chrome Lick, not Romantique. Inspect Xtac-500’s disc for the goblin. June rules out the space, demon, and iceberg variants, leaving Drought.

Winston
Wavemaster – Down Up
Jarhead – Pit

Becoming Violet – Faces in Faces
The basement opens here. Tony wants its deepest markdown. Lewis says he saw the faces record last week, which excludes newly opened basement stock. Hank’s magazine gives the 40th-anniversary clue for Winston.

Abi at the Apple Bed

Use the day’s Phonogram post for Dai and Gelk Man. MC Chizzel’s optional Cottage key uses skull, metal horns, metal horns, skull on the receipt. At the show after Abi’s drink, click the stage icons only when they flash.
13 Nathan
Lira and Mascot Dad
George
Claw Dia – Nimbus Joyride
The Oi Oi’s – Pint and a Packet of Crisps
Maria Estrella – Gifted
Nimbus Joyride is the electronic, aloof alternative to Shy Robot. The Oi Oi’s sleeve supplies the football-anthem history. “Historic stature” identifies Estrella rather than a genre.

Track 14 is a story stop; Track 15 tests originals against remixes

Track 14 has no customer recommendation. The shutter does not open, and the scene advances through the staff conversation. Do not reload because no sales prompt appears.

Track 15 deliberately fills the store with distorted copies. The dependable authenticity test is the checkout price: an artificial remix prints at GBP 0.10. Use the red cancel button to leave the receipt and choose again. Dan Luffy accepts an artificial copy; the other four customers need these originals:

  • Pat: Becoming Violet – Masquerade, the original middle copy.
  • James Grenth: James Grenth – Hands On Me, the original top copy in his section.
  • Willow: Becoming Violet – 15 Minute Break, the early record she associates with the beginning.
  • Morgan: Willow – Dove Can Still Fly, the original rather than a cheap duplicate.

Patch #1.0.5 corrected Track 15 narrator-text presentation. If the scene still labels dialogue strangely, update the client before treating it as a broken trigger.

Brick Dog – Sinking
The Old Knots – Hair Flops

Minnie & Minx – Fundam
A Certain Tipple drink
The family needs all three records in one cart. Vinnie’s optional Mask key uses the hand-eye/Hamsa, skull, flame, metal horns icons. Paul’s drink is mixed but contains no citrus.
17 Ali
Billy
Margarita
Daisy
Patri
Lea Webber – Tense Glass
Girl Junk – Girl Junk and Da Kneez – Stay in Bed
Maria Estrella – Gifted
Da Kneez – Stay in Bed
Brick Dog – Sinking
Billy requires two Sick, Sad World Records releases together. Margarita misremembers every artist name; Estrella is the useful translation. Patri’s “familiar loss” points to Brick Dog’s dead former singer.
18 Delivery Man Zak
Mimi Superfan
Tony
Chip Lennington
Willow
Lea Webber – Tense Glass
Glorf: The Movie – Original Soundtrack
Snarl – Eye Tried
Bad Toes – Chipped Nails
Willow – Dove Can Still Fly
Zak reverses the title into “Glassed Tense.” His optional Slippers key uses gravestone, skull, skull, skull. Tony now wants the most expensive record, so current Phonogram pricing matters more than the sleeve’s printed figure.
19 Teddy Tom

Teddy Tom & The Two Stans – The Best of You…
Willow – Dove Can Still Fly, Brick Dog – Bruck, Nia Pixel – Bust Base
Gecko Jester – Absurd Realities
Mimi – Mecha Mimi Meets Mother
Da Kneez – Stay in Bed
Gareth Gringle – Going Gringles
Match the triple order by person: Winston gets the rare Willow copy, Rashida gets the reunited Brick Dog record, and Ryan gets the Grip Records Nia Pixel release. The closing lyric selections are story expression; the captured guides do not support a separate Rad answer for them.

If the right title still produces the wrong result

  1. Check the artist-title pair, not only the title. Several names recur, and Track 15 adds copies that differ only by authenticity and checkout price.
  2. Reopen the sleeve. Kelly, Theo, Aggelos, MC Chizzel, and the Wax Pack customers hide decisive information on the disc, back cover, clothing, or receipt sequence.
  3. Refresh the clue source. Phonogram changes with the track; the magazines and zines establish aliases, guest credits, local status, reviews, and anniversaries.
  4. Keep joint orders together. Lin and Roy, Chloe’s family, Billy’s two-band request, and the Track 19 trio fail if the receipt is printed after only one album.
  5. Update before diagnosing a save. Patch #1.02 fixed discounted pricing, basement browsing highlights, and save-state problems around Track 4, Track 8, and Track 17. Patch #1.0.5 fixed a duplicate confirmation involving Steven in Customer Is Always Right mode.

Sources and current game record

The official Steam listing identifies AppID 2769240, Patattie Games as developer, Curve Games as publisher, and May 5, 2026 as the release date. Official Steam announcements supplied the patch boundary, and Steam’s official screenshot feed supplied the three untouched 1920×1080 JPGs used here. The 19-track route was reconciled across a readable three-part walkthrough, an independent early-track guide, and later community guides. A thin hub, the achievement-only pages, blocked publisher page, third-party images, and videos without independently checked metadata were not used to invent route steps.
