Steam currently lists 39 achievements for OPUS: Prism Peak. That number matters: two supplied guides advertise 40 or 42 and add conditions or names that are not present on Steam’s live page. Plan against the 39-name reconciliation below, then use the in-game Notes to locate the one unfinished system.
Audit date: July 19, 2026. The April 27 major update added manual Firebowl saves, second-playthrough photo and Notebook carryover, story-segment selection, and chapter selection after a completed run. Those tools reduce repetition, but achievements that say in a single playthrough should still be completed on one continuous file.

Use one completion run and one opposite-condition run
Run A should be the careful Notebook run. Photograph and inspect every named object, fill every Spirit page, spend Seeds at every Firebowl, choose one consistent opening mood, avoid every optional rescue, and reach the Peak ending if the file is complete enough. Keep a manual save before every chase and before the final summit.
Run B handles the contradictions: take the opposite six prologue choices, deliberately receive every Nightwaters and Sacred Fire Lake rescue, test the alternate summit shutter action, and use chapter selection for any short interaction that does not require a clean continuous file.
Do not combine Untouchable with I Know the Nightwaters or I Know the Sacred Lake. One route avoids rescue; the others require repeated failures until every Spirit has answered.
Lock four missable habits before the first chapter
- Choose one emotional direction. EV+6 and EV-6 are opposites across six opening monologue choices. Mixing the tones forfeits both for that prologue.
- Do not clean the lens yet. Keep taking photographs until Who Needs Cleaning appears. After it unlocks, cleaning no longer risks that trigger on the current file.
- Never accept a rescue on Run A. Reload the last Firebowl save after a chase failure rather than continuing from a Spirit rescue.
- Photograph before interacting with the exit. The anti-missable confirmation helps, but it cannot create a mural, poster, statue, or old photograph that was never captured.
For EV+6, the detailed Steam guides identify the positive sequence as staying less sad with Grandpa, believing difficulty can be overcome, accepting being alone, saying Eugene will be fine, accepting what cannot be changed, and rejecting the idea that things are meant to vanish. The negative run consistently selects the opposing thought at all six moments. Localization wording varies, so follow the emotional direction rather than matching punctuation.
Photograph the three OPUS references when the route passes them
- OPUS: Rocket of Whispers: photograph the series poster on the Abandoned Factory floor before leaving the Ox area.
- OPUS: The Day We Found Earth: capture the robot advertisement while searching the train carriages in Chapter 2.
- OPUS: Echo of Starsong: photograph the opera poster at the Seer Theater; the detailed route places it among the posters on the left side of the theater approach/interior.
These are one-shot subjects in areas that are expensive to revisit during a first run. Confirm each photograph receives a named album entry before crossing the next chapter boundary.
Make the Field Notes one connected checklist
Six achievements are different views of the same evidence system:
- Language of Fire needs the full fire alphabet. The final character is beside the Firebowl at Nevergone Peak.
- The Old Stories needs all mural research. Murals 29 and 30 appear only after murals 1-28 are present, on the rear-left rock face near the last route.
- Full View tracks all Star Photography Notes.
- Research Notes requires every Field Notes page restored and attached.
- Really See Them requires every Spirit to be fully seen through portraits, statements, roles, choices, and Firebowl memories.
- Spirits of the Dusklands is the full Notes state. After filling the last item, read the pages from the beginning instead of waiting on the map screen.
Whenever a Firebowl offers a page or memory, spend the Seeds before leaving. The independent guides agree that multiple Notes fragments are paid out in the Void interludes and that later camera gear is tied to cumulative Seed use. The exact intermediate totals are guide-derived and can vary with what the player already purchased, so use the live reward list rather than farming toward an unsupported permanent table.

Protect the Nameless City gathering
OPUS4 requires talking to every Spirit at the Nameless City gathering in one playthrough. Do not touch the final bear conversation and leave immediately. Speak to the goat, boar, dog, bear, pangolin, weasel, unicorn, and any other available attendee until their dialogue begins to repeat; the dog does not take the party drink.
I Remember is decided in the same part of the game. Fill the character notes before naming the pangolin and weasel. Both detailed 100% guides route the correct answer through the third option in their respective name prompts. Check the Notes first in case a localization reorders the wording.
Take the group photograph before the party ends. It becomes Forgotten Cafe, a required theater photograph, and also closes several Spirit-memory rows.
Nevergone Peak is the final collectible audit
Before the last ascent, verify these late checks:
- Inspect every Seer statue spread around the Sacred Fire Lake for Full Circle. The route is deliberately long; circle the outer area before returning to the center.
- In Kannu Tunnel, inspect all eleven Spirit statues and view every Light/Blessing they provide.
- Photograph the final stone tablet, attach the last note pieces, and return to the Firebowl.
- Look rear-left for murals 29 and 30 after the first 28 are complete.
- At the summit, pause before the automatic scene. Walking forward without carrying Ren triggers the hidden Forgetting Someone? condition rather than clean progression.
- Use a save before the final shutter choice. Letting Ren operate it is tied by the detailed guides to the hidden farewell-choice achievement; reload for the opposite ending action.
The Stars unlocks by sitting at the Great Flow. It is a distinct story interaction, not a requirement to photograph the sky 400 times.
Build the rescue atlas on the opposite file
After the no-rescue run is safe, deliberately fail the specified chase segments. Allow each Spirit conversation to finish, then repeat the failure until the next Spirit responds.
| Achievement | Load point | Spirits to hear |
|---|---|---|
| I Know the Nightwaters | Death / Carriage | Sambar deer, ox or water buffalo, local dog |
| I Know the Nightwaters | Death / Forest | Goat, bear, unicorn, salmon, pangolin, weasel |
| I Know the Sacred Lake | Divine Fire Path | Goat, mountain boar, pangolin, weasel, bear, unicorn, salmon, Sambar deer |
The English Steam page explicitly describes I Know the Nightwaters as receiving every Spirit rescue there. Its description for I Know the Sacred Lake is hidden, so the Divine Fire Path list above is community-guide cross-check evidence. Save after completing each rescue group before loading the next chapter segment.
Reconcile the current 39 names
Story and endings (8): A Fire Dims; The Dusklands; The Road; The Forest; The Nightwaters; The Summit; Home; Farewell Itself.
Photo counts and series references (7): Amateur Photographer; Apprentice Photographer; Professional Photographer; Master Photographer; OPUS: The Day We Found Earth; OPUS: Rocket of Whispers; OPUS: Echo of Starsong.
Collections and camera state (7): Glimpses; Lights; Memories; Passage; Not Forgotten; Gearhead; Who Needs Cleaning.
Field Notes and Spirit completion (6): Language of Fire; Full View; The Old Stories; Research Notes; Really See Them; Spirits of the Dusklands.
Choices, exploration, and rescue conditions (11): OPUS4; I Remember; Forgetting Someone?; Untouchable; The Stars; EV+6; Not Ready; EV-6; Full Circle; I Know the Sacred Lake; I Know the Nightwaters.
That reconciliation totals 39. Names such as Wishes, Just Look Away, Not a Speck Wasted, or Not a Speck Spared appeared in inaccurate supplied pages but are absent from Steam’s current English list and are not part of this route.
Diagnose a missing unlock by system, not rarity
- 38/39 with no visible hint: compare the Steam display name against the five groups above. Several hidden entries expose no description until unlocked.
- Notes look complete but no achievement: turn every page after the final attachment and revisit the relevant Spirit profile.
- Gearhead remains locked: spend remaining Seeds at available Firebowls, confirm all first-clear gear is present, and complete the Peak route for its final reward.
- A rescue achievement will not pop: repeat the relevant failure and listen for a Spirit not in your written ledger; do not skip the response.
- An ending is in the gallery but Steam is silent: reload the pre-summit manual save and repeat the final action on the current client. Early player guides recorded inconsistent ending pops after replay.
The official Steam record supplies the AppID, current total, and game metadata; the official global achievement page supplies the 39 English names and all non-hidden descriptions above. Route details were reconciled across three readable Steam player guides, all treated as limited because warning text is exposed on their pages. The incorrect 40/42 counts, fabricated fan-wiki thresholds, trainer instructions, live rarity targets, and unverified save replacement were excluded.
