REPLACED Side Quests: Seven Routes Before You Leave the Station

The neon Tower District and its street crowd in REPLACED

The seven named side quests in REPLACED are not isolated errands. David’s telescope depends on Susan’s arcade repair; Edward’s request turns into an investigation; Excalibur opens a room that also contains a weapon upgrade; Sandra needs Yo-Yo’s terminal; and Tempest’s comics are spread across almost every part of the Railway Station.

Use this as a departure checklist. Chapters 2, 4, and 7 each end with a vehicle or upper-platform exit. Finish the yellow-dialogue chain before taking that exit. The current client has scene-level chapter selection with collectible tracking, but the official update does not promise that selecting a scene will reconstruct every unfinished quest state.

Chapter 2 has two quests but one efficient circuit

Start with David on the platform, then descend to the street and work west through the station instead of bouncing between objectives. Susan and the Doctor both ask for parts found along the same broad loop, so carry both requests before returning anything.

David: repair the arcade before asking for the binoculars

  1. From the chapter start, go down the two flights of stairs and speak to David. He wants binoculars so the telescope can monitor guard patterns at the Wall.
  2. Enter the station hall and continue to the arcade on the far left. Speak to Susan. She will not hand over the binoculars until her cabinet works; she needs electronic components, also described as a rectifier.
  3. Exit to street level and go left beneath the bridge. Interact with the old ticket machine to take the Electronic Components.
  4. Return to Susan. She repairs Donor Rush. Drive to the marked people, bring the required group to the central hospital, then move each organ from the left patient to the matching silhouette on the right without touching the tube edges.
  5. Beat Susan’s score of 5,000, speak to her again, and collect the Immune Modulator plus the binoculars.
  6. Return to David on the starting platform. Finish his dialogue, activate the generator beside the telescope, and speak to him again.

The quest awards My Only Sunshine and a Genetic Profile health increase. The common stall is returning to David before both the arcade score and Susan’s final dialogue are complete. If the generator is active but David does not finish, check the inventory conversation with Susan rather than replaying the minigame immediately.

Doctor: ask Yo-Yo after the weapon scene

  1. Continue to the hospital at the far left of the station street and speak to the Doctor. His machine needs a vacuum regulator.
  2. Enter Yo-Yo’s green-lit workshop from the alley near the station. Progress the story conversation and weapon flashback first.
  3. When control returns, speak to Yo-Yo again and select the yellow regulator topic. Take the Vacuum Regulator.
  4. Return to the Doctor and hand it over before leaving with Tempest.

Completion awards Let There Be Blood and the Rechargeable Ampoule Med-Stim upgrade. The regulator is a dialogue item; searching the workshop shelves will not replace the second conversation with Yo-Yo.

Chapter 4 turns three requests into permanent upgrades

You begin in the hospital and can collect the Old Man’s request immediately. Edward stands inside the station near the barber. Excalibur waits in the alley toward Yo-Yo. Accept all three, then run the station as one clockwise loop.

Old Man: the lockbox answer is built from three dates

  1. Speak to the Old Man in the hospital. He asks to see his wife and daughter again and points you to the flower tent outside.
  2. At the tent, read the note: Winter, second half, leap year. Search the ring, book, and suitcase to reveal the candidate dates 02/10/1953, 05/18/1955, and June 6, 1944.
  3. Enter 02, 18, 1944 in the iron lockbox. Take the Family Photo.
  4. Return to the hospital and give the photo to the Old Man.

The reward is the Genetic Profile 5 health upgrade and Family Reunion. The first two numbers come from separate keepsakes; entering one full anniversary date is why otherwise sensible attempts fail.

Edward: copying the map is only the first half

  1. Find Edward near the barber in the station hall. He wants a copy of Tempest’s map as the price of an escape route.
  2. Go to Tempest’s room at the far end of the alley and interact with the map. R.E.A.C.H. makes the copy automatically.
  3. Leave the room and inspect Edward outside Yo-Yo’s area. Take Edward’s Diary and note the paint clue.
  4. Return to the main street, go left past the station entrance, and inspect the large mural.

The mural closes the quest, records Old Logs, awards Rechargeable Ampoule 2, and unlocks Hunted. Do not report to the council as soon as the map is copied; the body and mural are the actual completion sequence.

Excalibur: bring food, then follow the dog

  1. Speak to Excalibur in the alley outside the station. The yellow dialogue establishes that he wants food.
  2. Go upstairs to the bar and ask at the counter. Take the burger, which also records Station Meal.
  3. Return to Excalibur and feed him. Follow him through the small door he indicates.
  4. Inside, check the raised platform on the right before going deep into the rooms; this is where Prayer of the Damned Ones is found.
  5. Continue left to Excalibur at the memorial. Interact to receive the Reduction Gear pickaxe upgrade and Unsent Letter to Mole.

This completes Good Boy!. Interact with Excalibur once more after the quest to pet him and unlock We Are All Here For It. Feeding him alone is not the end: the reward comes only after following him into the memorial room.

Chapter 7 pairs an investigation with a six-position sweep

Do not approach the car at the upper platform until both quest chains are closed. Sandra’s evidence trail crosses Yo-Yo’s workshop; Tempest’s comic positions cross the hospital, bar, arcade, hall, workshop, and platform stairs. One station circuit handles both.

Sandra: inspect the ID record before confronting Berty

  1. Find Sandra in the station hall to the right of the central cassette stall. Accept the Trooper ID and her request to identify a suspected spy.
  2. Go to Yo-Yo’s workshop and use the News terminal. Hack it, choose the Phoenix City Police ID query, and inspect every returned record. The readable chapter guide specifically warns to check both matching Londin entries.
  3. Leave the workshop and speak to Berty outside. Exhaust the newly available conversation.
  4. Return to Sandra and Berty in the hall to close the investigation.

The reward is Genetic Profile 9, Trooper’s Diary, and Look-Alike. Speaking to Berty before querying the card produces only his holding dialogue; the hacked database result is the state change.

Tempest’s comics: use positions, not issue names

Read the note on the table beside Excalibur at Tempest’s place. It asks for six missing comics. Two readable guides attach different issue titles to individual rooms, while a detailed Steam achievement guide explains why: the six positions are fixed, but the specific comic assigned to each position can vary. Search these positions and trust the pickup count, not a title-to-room list:

  1. Upper-platform stairs: climb the first flight from the street and inspect the landing. Do not continue to the car.
  2. Arcade back room: pass Susan and enter the room beyond her cabinet.
  3. Far-right station hall: continue past Sandra to the corner.
  4. Bar/council level: go upstairs and search the left side just past the kitchen area.
  5. Hospital entrance: inspect the standing light as the hospital area opens.
  6. Yo-Yo’s workshop: go to the far-left shelf inside the workshop.

Return to the same table where the request began. Turning in all six awards the Balance Unit and The Biggest Fan. If five of six are recorded, revisit positions by scene with the current collectible tracker instead of looking for one named issue; the missing title may not correspond to another guide’s screenshot.

Three departure gates worth treating as hard stops

Chapter Do not leave until Departure signal
2 David and Doctor have paid their rewards; Susan and Yo-Yo have no unresolved yellow quest dialogue. Tempest asks you to enter the car in the garage.
4 The photo was returned, Edward’s mural was inspected, and Excalibur led you through the memorial. Tempest is ready to drive after the council meeting.
7 Sandra has the database result and all six comic positions are registered at Tempest’s table. The car waits at the upper platform.

As of July 20, 2026, the official Steam announcement feed confirms scene-level chapter selection with collectible tracking, a chapter-select hotfix, and later save/progression fixes. Use that system to recover pickups, but complete quest conversations inside their original hub visit whenever possible.

The official Steam page supplies the game identity, April 14 release date, and 34-achievement total. Quest routes were reconciled from the readable Into Indie Games Chapter 2, Chapter 4, and Chapter 7 pages and the 8,151-word Gamer Social Club collectibles/quest guide. The detailed Steam achievement guide and its comic-randomization note were kept as limited cross-check evidence because the page displays a removed/incompatible warning. None of the blocked Neoseeker quest pages were used.
