REPLACED Collectibles: Chapter Cleanup for Scans, Music, Cats, and Upgrades

R.E.A.C.H. faces a wall of illuminated terminals in REPLACED

Do not restart REPLACED because a launch-day guide says one missed scan ruins the run. Sad Cat Studios added scene-level chapter selection with collectible tracking after release, fixed its later-chapter lockout in hotfix 1.1.0.1, and later repaired cases where lore pickups did not save. On the current client, the tracker should decide where cleanup begins.

This route is organized around the pickups that sit behind a point of no return, an optional ledge, a quest reward, an arcade score, or a terminal submenu. Ordinary white glows on the critical path need less explanation. Side-quest dialogue is summarized only where it awards a scan or upgrade.

What the current tracker is counting

The strongest readable 100% guide indexes 112 scan entries. An older video index labels 111, but its own author comments identify the omitted auto-granted Laboratory Incident Update and correct the total to 112. That distinction matters: the database includes physical white-glow pickups, terminal records, story items, comic issues, and quest rewards. You will not find 112 loose notes on the floor.

The other stable completion groups are:

  • 17 music tracks, ending with Milky Way during the late Railway Station return.
  • Three Railway Station cats, one in each of the Chapter 2, 4, and 7 visits.
  • Health and Med-Stim upgrades from exploration, arcade scores, and five side-quest rewards.
  • Gun and pickaxe upgrades found off-route or awarded by Excalibur and the six-comic quest.

Steam officially lists 34 achievements, including the collectible sets. For a clean audit, open chapter select, note the incomplete scene, collect one item, return to the menu, and confirm the counter changed before sweeping another scene. The May bug-fix update specifically addressed lore pickups that occasionally failed to save.

Chapter 1: check both sides before every forward prompt

Music: Lab Rat appears in the sewers after the first Med-Stim, beneath a dim light just beyond the early gaps.

The chapter’s dangerous habit is placing a pickup opposite the route:

  • After Termite Dale’s first fight, take Survivor’s Memoir before leaving the arena.
  • After the camper and Termite Kyle fight, check right for Board Game Box.
  • At the open road, do not press Proceed. Walk right to the motorhome for Goodbye Letter.
  • After the first sniper stealth section and the roof drop, go left for the first Genetic Profile.
  • Inside the library, power the generator, cross the shifted bookcases, then go upstairs rather than right. Inaugural Address and Archived Poster share that upper area.

Med-Stim, Huxley, Portative Battery, and several story records register through normal interactions. If the scene tracker is short despite a full floor sweep, verify those automatic entries rather than searching for another glow.

Chapter 2: the station combines two songs, one cat, and three reward chains

Music: Endless Meadow sits downstairs by the green cassette sign in the station hall. A Place to Call Home is in the room behind Susan in the arcade.

Cat 1: after meeting Matriarch and Ironwood upstairs, inspect the Fireball bar counter. Interact with the cat; merely walking close does not register it.

The station’s terminal and quest scans are easy to misclassify as floor pickups:

  • The old ticket machine beneath the bridge supplies Electronic Components for Susan and records the item.
  • Beat 5,000 in Donor Rush, then speak to Susan for the Immune Modulator and Susan’s Binoculars.
  • Return the binoculars to David and activate his platform generator for a Genetic Profile.
  • At Yo-Yo’s News terminal, open the Underground Chatroom rather than backing out after the first page.
  • Ask Yo-Yo for the Vacuum Regulator, then return it to the Doctor for a Rechargeable Ampoule.

Before entering Tempest’s car, the station tracker should also include Strange Counting Rhyme, Disposals’ Diary, Old FPRS Booklet, Phoenix Corporation Is Born, Phoenix-City Wall Specs, Tower Districts Prospect, and Note to Yo-Yo.

Chapter 3: two health pickups hide before the mine becomes linear

Music: Solving a Problem is left of the arena after the Geiger fight, beside the green rail car.

  • At the first pickaxe crossing, do not climb the obvious concrete route immediately. Explore the room to the far left for one Genetic Profile.
  • After entering the Prospero Mine and climbing the stairs, go left for Ironwood’s Interview, then stay on that level and go far right into the dark room for the second Genetic Profile.
  • At the water station’s last valve, cross to the lowest right-hand platform for Kinetic Inductor 1. It increases energy gain per hit.
  • In the slave-lock room, inspect the pillar for Corpse Butchering Guide and open the terminal’s delete-later chat for Incriminating Chat before leaving.
  • The cage code is Chains, Knife, Eye, Cross. The code is progression; the chat submenu is the missable scan.
  • At the emergency generator, take Miner’s Last Hours from the far-right body and the Prospero Universal Keycard from the lit central table.

Other chapter markers include Prospero Information Board, Prospero Incident Recording, Termite’s Diary, Warden’s Letter, Water Station Notice, Kennedy’s Speech, The City Gets a New Name, New Prospero Head Worries, and Unsent Letter Home.

Chapter 4: quests are part of the collectible route

Music: Great Power, Great Responsibility is at the station’s central cassette stall. Prayer of the Damned Ones is on the raised platform immediately inside Excalibur’s side room.

Cat 2: inside Yo-Yo’s workshop, go left past Yo-Yo and inspect the chair beneath the lamp. This location is independently consistent across the readable cat guide and chapter evidence.

  • The Old Man’s flower-tent lockbox uses 02, 18, 1944. Family Photo registers as a scan; returning it awards a Genetic Profile.
  • Susan’s second arcade cabinet, Jumper, needs a score above 5,000. Speak to her afterward for Kinetic Inductor 2.
  • Copy Tempest’s map for Edward, inspect Edward outside the workshop, then inspect the mural left of the station. That chain records Edward’s Diary and Old Logs and awards Rechargeable Ampoule 2.
  • Feed Excalibur the Station Meal, follow him through the small door, and reach the memorial for Reduction Gear plus Unsent Letter to Mole.
  • At Yo-Yo’s News terminal, open both Laboratory Incident Update and Solar Panels Are Safe. The first is the entry omitted by the older 111-count video index.

Doctor’s Orders, Nursery Rhyme, Phoenix Initiative Takes Control, Mommy’s Letter, About Reach, and Ironwood’s Note fill out the visit. Finish them before reporting ready to drive.

Chapter 5: one tram crawl and one basement turn matter most

Music: after the crane drone chase, drop into the broken building and turn left through the basement opening for A View to Die For. The story route continues right, which is why the track is easy to pass.

  • After the first PCPD wave, go left through the tram wreck for Cult Leader Arrested. Before leaving, go right and crouch through the low wreck opening for the chapter’s Genetic Profile.
  • At the bus workshop, climb to the roof and go left to the bodies for Termite’s Regrets.
  • Use the terminal after the yard fight and open both the latest report and search history; these register PCPD Trooper’s Report and Nixon vs Phoenix Corporation.
  • Action Figure is below the office-building platform near two large boxes. Portable Solar Panel is through the small upper-right opening after the crane ladder.
  • The chapter’s Kinetic Inductor is reached in the tram/ruin route described by the current scene tracker. Confirm the upgrade icon before advancing to the long drone stealth section.

Protester’s Note, Help Those in Need, More Donors Needed, Update Notes, Watergate Scandal, and Rusted Pin are the remaining named checks.

Chapter 6: search before each security system changes state

Music: after pushing the hospital bed under the roof route, climb the rafters and turn right near the electrified floor for Abandoned Forest.

  • At the industrial silos, use the lower bar to reach the second-floor balcony and collect Kinetic Inductor 3 inside before opening the exit.
  • In the military warehouse, move from Sector H toward A for Trading Worldwide; return the carried battery to the H terminal before climbing the shelves.
  • After the elevator, go left past the moving red security light for Scratched Wingman.
  • After crossing the electrified servers, drop and crawl under the raised floor to the far left for the chapter’s Genetic Profile.
  • After the lab fight, take Surgical Station Manual from the desk and R.E.A.C.H. Manual beyond the hacked door.
  • In Warren’s office, pass the turret and inspect the wooden crate left of the stairs for Guard’s Burned Letter. After the chair scene, unlock the left room and check shelf R2 for Kinetic Inductor 5.
  • When the elevator fails, climb into the small left niche for McVeigh Profile.

Souvenir Key Chain, Phoenix Tech Show, Classified Protocols, Climatologist Letter, Firefighters’ Audiologs, and Private Diary complete the chapter’s major tracker entries.

Chapter 7: three songs, the last cat, and six randomized comic labels

Music: Void is at the familiar central cassette stall. Second Chance is near the comic-request table at Tempest’s place. No Tomorrow is on the blue boombox up the short steps in Tempest’s room.

Cat 3: leave Yo-Yo’s workshop and look on the bin between the workshop entrance and Tempest’s house. Interact to complete the three-cat set and unlock Sad Cats if the Chapter 2 and 4 cats registered.

Play Susan’s Horror cabinet and exceed 22,075, prioritizing the high-value red enemies as their speed rises. Speak to her for the Adrenaline Injector. Sandra’s ID investigation awards another Genetic Profile after you hack Yo-Yo’s News terminal, inspect the police records, speak to Berty, and report back.

The six Tempest-Man comics use fixed positions but can attach different issue names to those positions. Search the upper-platform stair landing, arcade back room, far-right hall, bar/council level, hospital entrance, and far-left Yo-Yo shelf. Return to the request table for the Balance Unit. Do not compare a missing title against another player’s room; compare the six scene positions.

Chapter 8 and the station return: protect the late one-way pickups

Music in Phoenix-City:

  • Alone in a Crowd – the rightmost Classic shelf in Round Table Music.
  • Rust – return to the Classic section after the cashier identifies Veronica’s record and the dialogue updates the stock.
  • Dusk – after the technician group passes the checkpoint, take the scaffolding upward and sweep to its far-left edge before following the route right.
  • Stranger in the Mirror – inside Marsh’s apartment.

Move the first sewer fan all the way right and jump into the high alcove for Rechargeable Ampoule 3. After the later set of three bars, use the downward opening in the next zone for the Genetic Profile rather than following the camera forward.

Project Havoc Flyer, Feather Squad Movie Poster, Veronica’s Concert Poster, Weather Forecast, Election News Article, PCPD Celebration, How to Deal With a Loss, Bodycam Recording, Central Tower Mini-Model, and Commercial Clinic Leaflet are the named Phoenix-City scan checks.

During the damaged-station return, keep moving left after the first enemy wave and collect Secret Orders before entering the market route. A readable 100% guide flags that boundary as permanent for the scene. Ash is near the station cassette area. After the Commissioner rematch, collect Makeshift Task Board and Medical Journal near the recovery area.

Milky Way is now on the path after the Yo-Yo scene, before the police transport/stair route. Older launch guides place it incorrectly or describe it as bugged; later guide comments and the current route agree that it was moved into this mandatory corridor.

Chapters 9 and 10: finish the tower before using the chair

  • Elite’s Diary is near the opening tower route; On the Subject of the Disposals is upstairs to the right.
  • After the early consecutive waves, climb the wall and branch left on the fourth-floor balcony. Exquisite Menu and the final Genetic Profile share that balcony.
  • At the upper station floor, collect Black Widow Letter, Interview for Editing, and Letter Dropped From the Trash before continuing into the office.
  • Doctor’s Journal is on the right side of the office before the Matriarch sequence.
  • After freeing Tempest, open every option on the nearby terminal for Corporate Wars.
  • The remaining story profile in this sequence can register through progression rather than a loose floor pickup; use the scene tracker before assuming another note is hidden in the server room.

The server-room chair is the practical end point. Clear the three enemy waves, destroy the right, left, and right-side panels in sequence, and do not use the chair until the final tower scene shows complete.

When a category is still one short

  • Scans: check terminal submenus and quest rewards first. Laboratory Incident Update, Underground Chatroom, Incriminating Chat, and Corporate Wars do not look like floor collectibles.
  • Music: verify Rust after its dialogue refresh, Prayer of the Damned Ones before leaving Excalibur’s room, and the moved Milky Way on the current late-station route.
  • Cats: bar counter in Chapter 2, left side of Yo-Yo’s workshop in Chapter 4, bin outside the workshop in Chapter 7.
  • Health/Med-Stim: replay the three arcade reward conversations and the David, Doctor, Old Man, Edward, and Sandra turn-ins; the pickup may be a reward rather than an object.
  • Gun/pickaxe: revisit the Chapter 3 water-station low platform, the two Chapter 4 rewards, the tram/ruin route in Chapter 5, both Chapter 6 side rooms, and the Chapter 7 comic turn-in.

The official Steam record provides AppID 1663850, Sad Cat Studios and Thunderful Publishing metadata, the April 14, 2026 release, and the 34-achievement total. The official announcement feed establishes the level-select, collectible-tracking, hotfix, save-fix, and June 26 update boundary. Locations were reconciled across the ten readable Into Indie Games chapters, the 8,151-word Gamer Social Club route, and a readable all-cat guide. Three Steam Community guides were kept limited because their pages expose removed/incompatible warnings; their useful count conflict was resolved rather than copied. The 28 supplied Neoseeker pages were blocked and support no location claims.
