When Solateria first opens into several directions, the useful question is not “Which unexplored doorway is closest?” It is “Which movement skill makes the next loop pay off?” The reliable early route is to clear Silent Ruins, visit the Ashen Library from Earth Port, beat Fidiel for Air Dodge, take Quick Drop through Terradin Greenhouse, defeat the Guardian of Pyron for Counter, and then earn Double Jump from Chasa. Only after that should you make the long Water Mirror Basin circuit.

Scope and version boundary: this is a checkpoint walkthrough from the beginning through Water Mirror Basin and the Caverns Entrance, immediately before the route continues into Faded Castle. It is not presented as a full-game walkthrough. Research was frozen on July 20, 2026, with Steam AppID 2947280 and official patch v1.0.71 as the current boundary. The detailed route references were published at launch; later official patches changed early boss layouts, an Ashen Hills connection, one Terradin Greenhouse Memory Fragment, and a Water Mirror Basin platform. When terrain differs, trust the live map and the newer path described here rather than forcing an old jump.
Commit to six progression gates before chasing map percentage
These are the gates that turn the opening regions from a collection of dead ends into one connected route:
- Someone’s Blessing in Silent Ruins: gives the charged attack needed to burn Vine Walls and deal properly with shields.
- Air Dodge after Fidiel: lets Tott cross wider gaps and reach ledges that were deliberately out of range in Earth Port.
- Quick Drop in Terradin Greenhouse: activates the vertical route built around mushroom pads. In v1.0.60, its recovery can be canceled with a dash.
- Counter after the Guardian of Pyron: adds a charged-attack parry option, but it does not replace ordinary blocking or movement.
- Double Jump after sparring with Chasa: is the point at which the lower Ashen Hills, Pyron Village, and Water Mirror Basin loop become worth exploring in depth.
- The Barren Land Altar: is the operational center of Water Mirror Basin. Unlock it before trying to clear either half of that region.
Leave unreachable pickups marked. That is not a failed route. The game repeatedly shows items before the required skill is available, and the current client has late-game cleanup tools: after returning Imahen’s Letter to Opus and revisiting the Ashen Library, Opus’s Machine can reveal undiscovered map locations, while Opus’s Pendant identifies remaining field collections. Patch v1.0.59 expanded the Pendant to show item chests and Primordial Flame statues as well.
Silent Ruins: open the return path before dropping to Charon
Move right after the opening scene and take the Pyron Wristband. Break the first blue crystal wall, continue until the route drops to a lower level, and head left after the long fall. The first important statue is down here. Interacting with it grants Someone’s Blessing, which enables the charged attack and its burning effect.
Use that new attack on the nearby Vine Wall, survive the following ambush, and break the blue crystal wall from its accessible side. The wooden platforms now loop back to the Vine Wall seen near the start. Burn it, enter the new passage, and activate the Silent Ruins Entryway Altar before speaking with Chasa. Equip the starting Parts and place the first Inflare only after reading the live stat changes; Warmth, Strength, and Stamina solve different problems, so there is no need to imitate a fixed launch-week build.
Beyond Chasa, the red barrier is not opened from the front. Climb above it, work left, and then descend through the opening beyond the OHN deposit. Burn the Vine Wall beside the Stone Tablet to reach the Gatekeeper of Terradin.
Break the Gatekeeper’s shield as a state, not as a health bar
Basic attacks lose most of their value while the shield is intact. Start with a charged hit; since official patch v1.0.43, the first basic strike in a Charge Attack no longer bounces from shielded enemies at close range. Once the shield breaks, ordinary hits matter again. Parry the close arm swipe, but jump or move away from the ground-slam shockwave if the timing is uncertain. When the Gatekeeper burrows and reappears, expect the shield to return and repeat the charged opener.
After the fight, pull the red lever on the left. That creates the shortcut to the Entryway Altar. Use it now: return to the Altar, restore Warmth, spend earned Inflares, and only then prepare for the boss drop. This small reset prevents a common mistake—entering Charon with the route technically open but no healing margin.
Before dropping into the boss arena, take the upper-right loop to Jima. Buy the Info Slates if possible, use the nearby OHN Exchanger rather than grinding blindly, and cross the floating platforms to the chest containing a Normal Royal Seal. That Seal becomes useful when Opus starts upgrading Core Stones in the Ashen Library. Open the blue-wall shortcut on this loop, then return to the Entryway Altar and take the opening just before the red barrier down to Charon.
Charon: watch the arms, then move for the arena attacks
Charon’s glowing chest crystal is the damage target. His left and right arm sweeps are the repeatable parry opportunities; successful parries lead into Pyron Actions and help push him toward Incapacitate. Do not stand under the chest waiting for every cue. A growing chest-centered blast means retreat to the edge, while falling debris warns where the two ceiling boulders will land.
The current route layout reflects the official v1.0.59 level-design adjustment, so an older video or screenshot may not match every platform. The boss logic remains the useful anchor: arms are parry checks, the chest is the damage point, and the arena-wide effects are movement checks. After victory, climb Charon’s left arm, let him ferry Tott across, take the Firm Solin Fragment from the rocks if desired, and activate the large statue for the Damage Reduction Core Stone. Continue right to the Earth Port Entrance Altar.
Earth Port: make the library detour before committing to Fidiel
The first Cooking Pot can turn the Shadow Garlic and Solgreen collected earlier into Humble Noodle, a permanent Flame increase. In the nearby house, speak with Lunya. She reforges Warmhorn capacity when you bring the required shell, and she points you toward Flutis for Part enhancement.
Continue through Earth Port. Parry the Spear Guards’ long dashes and reflect the Seed Archer’s projectile rather than crossing open ground under repeated fire. The route eventually drops to a door called a Warmth Tunnel. Use it now. It takes you to the Ashen Library earlier than the overland route does.
On this first visit, the central Library is enough:
- Verita gives the Pyron’s Heart defensive Part and provides level-ups and Inflares for OHN.
- Opus exchanges Royal Seals for Core Stone upgrades.
- Flutis enhances Parts for OHN.
- The Altar turns this detour into a permanent return point.
Talk to each available character, collect the item past the training dummies, and return through the same Warmth Tunnel. This is preparation, not a side trip: the Royal Seal from Silent Ruins now has a use, the Library Altar is active, and your future upgrade loop is established.
Back in Earth Port, move left across the river. Break the first green Plague Sprout; region-specific Secret Societies exchange these later. Activate the Inn Entrance Altar, speak with Cor outside the house, and break the boulder inside. Exchanging at the glowing meteor unlocks the Residual Heat Core Stone.
Return toward the split and take the lower route. Clear the Terradin Warrior gauntlet, briefly activate the Altar named Back Path to the Earth Port, then reverse and climb toward the Earth Port Central Area Altar. Muha stands above it and sells map markers. Break the blue crystal wall on the left to connect this upper checkpoint back to the Warmth Tunnel side.
From that connected route, take the upper-right exit past another Terradin Warrior. Cardamine’s shop is the next landmark. Above her, a chest holds an Empty Warmhorn Shell; take it back to Lunya when you want the extra healing capacity. Search left for two Firm Solin Fragments, including one behind the wall under an unreachable ledge, then go right to the Closed Pathway Altar. The Vine Wall immediately beyond it leads to Fidiel.

Fidiel: red attacks and the phase-two grab demand different answers
Fidiel is where treating every warning color as the same command becomes dangerous. Most sword-and-spear sequences can be parried, including the red two-part rush: first the spear goes toward the wall, then Fidiel follows with his own leap. A normal block is not the answer to that red sequence, but a timed parry can stop each part.
Use the regular three-hit string to learn the rhythm because parrying the sequence strips his three Resistances quickly. The two overhead hits are slower; the second is delayed enough to punish an automatic double-tap. When he throws the spear upward and leaves the arena, stop attacking and prepare to jump the returning slam.
At roughly half health, the floor gives way and phase two begins. The decisive new cue is the grab that launches Tott before the impalement. Do not try to prove that it is parryable: dodge it. Resume parrying the known weapon strings after the grab passes. Patch v1.0.59 adjusted Fidiel’s level design, so the current arena and collision take priority over launch footage.
After the fight, continue right into Terradin Greenhouse and use the first King’s Statue for Air Dodge. Before taking the new ledge, break the wall beneath it for a Memory Fragment. Ride the elevator, check left for the OHN deposit and another fragment, then continue right to the Terradin Greenhouse Entryway Altar.
Terradin Greenhouse works as two loops around one Altar
The first loop goes below the Entryway Altar for Quick Drop. Stay on the lower route and ignore the first dead-end drop. Flower Bud spores can inflict Darkness and reduce maximum Warmth, so do not keep trading hits after the status appears. Farther down, break the wall left of the wooden platform for a Firm Solin Fragment.
In the enemy-filled room below, break the blue crystal barrier from this side. It is the west connection to Water Mirror Basin, but opening it is enough for now. Continue left and climb to the King’s Statue that grants Quick Drop. Speak with Myosoo, use the mushroom pads with the new downward move, and break the upper blue wall to loop directly back to the Entryway Altar. Chasa should now be waiting there and point Tott toward Ashen Hills.
The second loop goes above the same Altar. Use the mushroom pad on the left, climb past the Horns and Spear Guards, and do not leave the Terradin Sorcerer alive if you expect a safe return; this elite does not respawn. Continue to the Mural of the Five Warriors Altar, speak with Muha, and inspect the murals so the area is recorded rather than merely crossed.
Backtrack right from the mural and take the upper path. After the hidden-wall ambush, descend to the split with the Terradin Warrior. Use the lower path first and pull the lever in the bottom-right room. It removes the red barrier and creates the direct shortcut back to the Greenhouse Entryway. Then return to the Warrior, take the upper route, and activate the South of the Quarry Altar.
The quarry’s lower branch currently ends at a breakable floor that requires a later skill. Mark it and return to the Altar. The upper branch leads through another Terradin Sorcerer and a series of mushroom-pad climbs. At the Ashen Hills outskirts, Lava Slimes explode shortly after being struck; their blast can hurt nearby enemies, so do not remain in melee range after triggering one. The Ceramic Path Altar is the final checkpoint before the Guardian of Pyron.
Guardian of Pyron: finish one cue before reading the next
The Guardian has a large health pool but only three Resistances. His dash sequence begins with a ground slam and immediately follows with a sword hit; both are parry opportunities. His two sword swipes can then transition into an unblockable slash that leaves a damaging fire trail. Do not keep advancing after the second swipe simply because the melee animation appears finished.
The slow sword swing into a fireball is a mixed response. Parry the blade, then dodge behind him instead of trying to absorb the fireball. This boss becomes manageable when each sequence has a chosen exit: parry-parry for the dash, disengage after the two-swipe tell, and parry-dodge for the sword-and-fireball pattern. Use Burst only after Incapacitate.
The King’s Statue beyond the arena grants Counter. Continue right into Ashen Hills.
Ashen Hills: reach the Library before clearing the lower branches
The opening hills contain attractive dead ends on both sides. The progression rule is to keep finding elevation. Use the first mushroom pads, cross the Firebird slopes, and return to the right-side climb when a crystal-wall chest closes the left branch. Ember Cry enemies have three Resistances and enough health to drain resources before a checkpoint, so parry their full tells rather than racing them.
Pass Cor and descend to the Library Path Altar. The Pyron Secret Society is a useful side loop from here: stay low while moving left, climb through the top-left exit, pass the Chasa statue, and take the left gap with Air Dodge. The house at the end contains an Unnamed Memory Fragment and the regional Secret Society Stone. Return to the Firebird junction afterward.
For the Library, take the right-side landing, defeat the Ember Cry ambush, and climb to the room with the red barrier. Clear the room and use the lever above to open it. Continue upward to the large front gate. A King’s Statue just left of the gate unlocks the Defense Core Stone.
This full entrance expands the Ashen Library beyond the central section visited earlier. Pwoong sells Parts, Leafa prepares food, and Verita calls Tott to the upper office. Depositing the full 10,000 OHN in the Donation Box awards a nameplate connected to the Donor’s Room, but it is not required to continue this route. Take Chasa’s Nameplate from the nearby statue, ride the top-floor elevator, activate the upper Altar, and speak with Verita. She can now enhance the Heat Core and opens the back gate to the Pyron Training Grounds.
Before leaving, take the fragment to the right of Verita, drop through the opening for Virtus’s Nameplate, and break the blue wall on the left. The King’s Statue behind it grants another Residual Heat Core Stone. Exit from the Library’s left side, drop to the Pyron Training Grounds Altar, and speak with Chasa.
Chasa: not every successful parry advances the fight
Chasa’s two teleporting sword approaches are the useful Resistance checks. Wait for the arrival and blade commitment, then parry. His long-range sword shockwave can also be parried, but it does not reduce Resistance. The same limitation applies to the three shadow hits that follow when he plants the sword in the ground. Blocking or moving through those shadow attacks is often safer than spending attention on a parry that does not create the desired opening.
Winning the spar grants Double Jump. Use it on the right, take the Empty Warmhorn Shell from the chest, and open the wall connection back into Ashen Hills. Official patch v1.0.40 added a breakable wall on the route descending from the Training Grounds specifically to reduce a long backtrack. If an old launch guide sends you around the entire region, inspect the current descent for that new breakable connection first.
Pyron Commander is a resource choice, not a progression lock
From the Ceramic Path Altar, move right and use the lower route after the first Doodoo. Repeated drops on the far-left branch lead to the Pyron Commander. This boss is optional, and walking away does not block Pyron Village.
Fight him now only if you want the Commander’s Treasure Warmhorn Part and have enough healing to protect the next travel leg. His raised-arm shield converts careless offense into recovery, so stop attacking when it appears. His grab also restores health. Keep a small gap, let the readable one- or two-strike sequence come to you, parry the actual weapon hits, and dodge the grab. The victory also satisfies the current Steam achievement Chasa’s Right-Hand Man.
Return until the route reaches the mushroom pad, then take the lower path to the right instead of climbing back to the Altar. Stay high through the next area, use Double Jump for the large gap, ignore the first Water Mirror Basin drop, and continue to the Pyron Village Altar.
Before leaving the village, backtrack to that Basin drop, burn the vines holding the boulder, and take the Flaming Tip Part from the chest below. Return to the Altar and explore right. The low branch points toward Faded Castle and contains two Memory Fragments, but the route into that region comes later. In the upper building, deliberately trigger the breakaway-floor gauntlet to reach the chest containing a Heat Core. Take it to Verita for another Heat Core enhancement. Finish the village loop at the far signpost, then prepare for the Basin.

Water Mirror Basin: build the route around Barren Land Altar
Select the Terradin Greenhouse Entryway Altar from the travel map and take the lower-right river path through the blue connection opened during the Quick Drop loop. Read the Basin Border Stone, then use Double Jump and an air attack for the fragment on the right ledge. Continue left, descend, and burn the vines holding the boulder.
After the Sowoo statue, take the left elevator down. Briefly use the lower path to reach the King’s Relievo in the forest; burn the vines on its left to drop another boulder and open a future descent. Return to the upper path, continue right past Cor, and take the chasm down to the Barren Land Altar. Speak with Myoso beside it. Do not begin a collection sweep until this checkpoint is active.
West loop: reveal the useful return points
From Barren Land, climb left. Where the route falls toward a gap, look down for the wooden platform and use it to reach the right-hand Memory Fragment. It adds Soowoo’s location information to the map. Return left, defeat the tougher enemy, and burn the two Vine Walls leading toward the lower waterfall. The waterfall itself remains a later objective; marking it is the success state for this visit.
This is a good moment to return to the Ashen Library and give Verita the Heat Core from Pyron Village. That enhancement unlocks Hyper Pyron Action. Next, select Terradin Greenhouse Entryway on the fast-travel map, return to the King’s Relievo, and use the opened descent.
Hug the right side on the way down, but do not waste time on the mushroom-pad ledge that still needs another ability. Burn the lower vines, stay on the upper-left route, and use the flower floating on the water as a bounce point. Climb past the crystal-wall chest until the floor collapses into a gauntlet. After clearing it, go left for the chest containing Brilliant Counterattack and break the crystal wall from inside.
Return to the flower, climb left, and follow the next long gap to the regional Secret Society Stone and a Warmth Tunnel. That tunnel provides a clean Library reset. Use it rather than walking the entire western loop backward, then fast travel to Barren Land.
Central loop: label the late-game exits instead of taking them
Go right from Barren Land and ride the first elevator. The opening partway up leads toward Mucora Fortress, a later region. Enter only far enough to make the connection obvious on the map, then return to the elevator.
At the top, continue climbing until the right branch reaches a lever guarded by a stronger enemy. Pull it to call the next elevator. There is a Firm Solin Fragment on the left during the ride and a spear enemy on the right, but the progression move is to reach the top and jump onto the elevator roof. That gains the platform above and the upper-right exit.
Muha is in the next area, along with a secret key that is not required for the current route. Mark the key and the uncrossable waterfall to the right. These are future-state notes, not invitations to improvise a jump.
East loop: stay above the Mucora exit and connect back to Pyron Village
Return to the earlier upper-right branch. After the ramp, use the wooden platform above-left for a Memory Fragment. The two exits ahead serve different stages: the lower one returns toward Mucora Fortress, while the upper route uses a mushroom pad and continues east.
Climb the multi-level building. Its second-floor exit touches Faded Castle, but the safer story entry is still the main gate after this Basin circuit, so continue to the top-left exit. Work through the next house and stairs until the route crosses the waterfall from Muha’s side. Continue upward to the next elevator. Collect the visible Inflare and Firm Solin Lump if the jumps are clean, then ride all the way up and take the upper-left exit back toward the Pyron Village side.
From that upper connection, drop left several times, take the OHN deposit, and descend once more into the previously inaccessible branch. The left exit leads to the Caverns Entrance Altar. Heal and decide whether the optional fight is part of this run before jumping left.
Ophilin Swordsman: win by separating the water cue from the dash cues
The Ophilin Swordsman’s fast approaches are parry tests. Her close sword swipe is telegraphed by the raised weapon arm, and the double stab punishes an early counterattack. The unblockable dash cannot be held behind a normal guard; parry it or move clear.
The empty hand is a different category. It raises the water level, damages Tott, and applies Moisture. Use Double Jump to stay above the water, then clear Moisture with two dodges if it lands. Patch v1.0.46 fixed a separate issue that slowed Stamina recovery after removing Moisture, so do not carry old bug workarounds into the current fight.
Breaking her four Resistances creates the stable damage window. Do not chase damage through rising water just because the last parry succeeded. Reset vertically, clear the status, and return to the dash rhythm. Defeating her awards the current Steam achievement The Gleaming Blade’s Edge and leaves her Memory Fragment on the left. The Closed Caverns door beyond requires a key obtained later, so it is not the continuation of this early route. Drop the hanging boulder on the right to create the return path.
Use the achievement list as a route audit, not as a second walkthrough
Steam currently lists 50 achievements. By the end of this checkpoint route, the following names can diagnose whether a major encounter was actually registered:
- Shattered — Gatekeeper of Terradin defeated.
- Beyond the Long River — Charon defeated.
- Faith — Fidiel defeated.
- Battle-Hardened Sparring — Chasa spar completed.
- Chasa’s Right-Hand Man — optional Pyron Commander defeated.
- The Gleaming Blade’s Edge — optional Ophilin Swordsman defeated.
Do not turn the other 44 names into assumed instructions. The readable achievement lists confirm goals such as every Part, every Core Stone, all Plague Sprouts, maximum Memory levels, full map reveal, 100% Collection Rate, and a Legendary Flame clear, but they do not provide enough route evidence to place every requirement here.
Your clean handoff is the Pyron Village/Faded Castle branch with Air Dodge, Quick Drop, Counter, and Double Jump unlocked; the Ashen Library upgrade loop active; Barren Land and Caverns Entrance available for fast travel; and the Mucora Fortress, lower waterfall, secret key, Closed Caverns, and remaining skill-gated pickups marked for later. That state is more valuable than forcing an inflated early completion percentage.
