The three train-code cards in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 are instructions, not three copies of one password. One card sets symbol positions, one sets colors, and one sets press order. Keep all three in the inventory and solve the console from your own cards; copying another player’s final input can leave a perfectly arranged panel that still refuses to start the train.
Expect full puzzle and story spoilers for Fly in a Web. This route covers AppID 1817490, released May 5, 2022, and was checked July 21, 2026. It prioritizes the decisions that stop progress: reaching the Game Station, building the Green Hand, surviving the randomized games, escaping the rigged Statues course, and translating the final train code. Optional statues and tapes are mentioned only when they share the route.
| Route checkpoint | New rule | Failure signal |
|---|---|---|
| Elliot Ludwig’s office to Game Station | Swing from yellow-lit ceiling poles | A gap looks jumpable but has no landing |
| Musical Memory | Green Hand carries charge for about ten seconds | The target triangle goes dark before the hand arrives |
| Whack-A-Wuggy | Growling Huggys have priority | You clear new arrivals while an older one attacks |
| Statues | Move only in darkness; the official finish is blocked | You keep running toward debris instead of the right-wall pipe |
| Mommy showdown | Environmental traps replace direct combat | You wait in open corridors instead of using the prepared hiding point |
| Train console | Position, color, and press order are separate | The symbols look right but the lever remains locked |
Reach the Game Station with the Red Hand still understood, not preserved
Begin at Poppy’s empty case. Return through the dollhouse corridor, go right from Elliot Ludwig’s locked office, and use the yellow-lit ceiling pole to swing across the floor gap. Clear the barrels from the far door, take the large key from storage, and bring it back to Elliot’s office.
The desk holds an optional Daisy statue, note, and brown tape. Pull the loose vent behind the desk and follow it to Poppy. For the circuit in her room, attach the Blue Hand to power, route its cable around both center posts, walk around the cage, and use the other hand on the destination. Climb back through the office, use both scanners in the corridor, and swing across the next gap.
Mommy takes Poppy after you drop into the atrium. In the following power room, shoot the Blue Hand through the blue pipe to reach the live outlet. Backtrack without brushing the left post, take the right catwalk, loop the first post, then cross to the left post. The pipe keeps the cable clear of the fence created by the first activation. From behind the right post, connect the other hand to the destination on the far catwalk.
At the Game Station door, Mommy removes the Red Hand. That loss is scripted. Do not reload looking for a way to save it; the next route builds a Green Hand as the replacement.
Build the Green Hand before attempting Musical Memory
Pull the first Game Station lever and enter the Musical Memory tunnel. When the shutter blocks the direct route, use the hole on the right and drop into the Holding Room. Activate the liquid machine, then repair the visibly bent section of pipe before sending the liquid to the mould. If the hand reaches the paint station and stops, go upstairs, take the paint can from the conveyor, and insert it into the paint machine. The last console button then produces a Green Hand.
The Green Hand takes charge from a lit green triangle and transfers it to a dark triangle. Its charge expires quickly, so line up the destination before taking power. Test it on the wall triangles beside the tutorial television and pass through the shutter while it is open.
Musical Memory is randomized. Stand near the center, listen to the announcer instead of trusting the deliberately misleading screens, and press the spoken colors or symbols in order. A wrong input accelerates Bunzo Bunny’s descent; a careful input is safer than a fast guess. New button types appear behind you in later rounds.
The fourth round is the designed break point. Stop trying to finish an impossible growing sequence and watch for the moving black caution button. Hit that button before Bunzo reaches you. Mommy then gives the first train-code card.
When the bridge collapses, use the vent under the red light. In the Defunct Toy area, move the ceiling crane over Bron, charge the crane with the Green Hand, and move Bron off his grey platform. Ride that platform upward. The next elevator circuit is a state puzzle: use the Blue Hand to raise the lift by looping the lower post, ride up, release it so the lift drops, then reconnect from the upper platform, loop the upper post, drop down, loop the lower post, and connect the Green Hand to the inactive outlet.
In Whack-A-Wuggy, track attack readiness by sound
Return to the central console, pull the second lever, and enter the right tunnel. Stay near the middle of the dark arena so no pipe remains behind a permanent blind spot. A Huggy that has just appeared is less urgent than one that is growling: the growl signals that its attack window is close. Push the growling targets back first, then clear newer arrivals.
Headphones help separate left and right threats. If several growls begin, remember the order in which you heard them and clear in that order. The objective is to survive the timer, not empty every pipe. When time expires, all remaining Huggys retreat and Mommy passes you the second code card.
Climb the multicolored tower by grabbing the pole overhead. Kissy Missy opens the first maintenance gate. Beyond her, move one Green-Hand charge through the corridor network: power the first shutter, reclaim the charge from the far side, move it to the next node, and open each shortcut gate so Barry the cart can follow.
The final gate requires two charged nodes. Use the original source to power the terminal opposite the television, revealing a second live node. Carry those two charges to the pair beside Barry’s gate. Pull Barry through, position yourself behind the cart, and send it down the rails to break the debris.
Statues has an escape route, not a finish line
Pull the third Game Station lever. At the jammed entrance, use both hands on the exposed lever above the shutter. In the next room, rise to the yellow-lit ceiling pole, carry power down through the lower posts, then use the Green Hand to transfer charge from the node beside the PJ cutout. Climb to the newly active upper pole and complete the circuit at the high outlet.
During Statues, camera movement is safe but character movement during the lights-on phase is not. PJ Pug-A-Pillar keeps advancing while you are frozen. Use three route decisions to preserve distance:
- Across the first foam pit, use the overhead rings to launch forward instead of wading through foam. Release before reaching a ring so momentum carries you.
- Choose the easy tunnel for a completion run. The hard tunnel is only justified when collecting the PJ statue.
- In the final foam pit, stay toward the right and climb the yellow blocks. The real exit is the yellow-lit wall pipe about halfway along, not the debris at the apparent finish.
Grab that pipe during a dark phase and pull yourself through the window. Drop through the hole beyond it. Escaping the course is why Mommy treats the result as cheating; no alternate route makes the blocked finish legitimate.
Prepare each hiding point before Mommy appears
Climb through the cave route to Water Treatment, use the central controls to make a bridge into Bay 2, and redirect the toy conveyors by pressing the reachable red, blue, and yellow controls once. Raise the lift, change the upper red control so a Bunzo toy moves toward you, then change it again as the toy reaches the adjacent belt so it drops onto the lift. Use Bunzo at the scanner after realigning the water platforms.
In the four-lever room after Mommy starts hide-and-seek, inspect the numbered ceiling boxes. They establish red 1, blue 2, green 3, with yellow fourth. Pull red, blue, green, yellow. Before leaving, memorize the ceiling hole; when Mommy triggers in the next corridor, retreat and climb into that hole until the chase music and screams stop.
At the furnace, place the red cog upstairs, take a Green-Hand charge downstairs, and start the furnace to create the exit gear. Leave the furnace doors fully open before installing that gear at the exit. When Mommy blocks the bridge, return, charge the furnace, step inside, and close its doors before the flame cycle begins.
The final chase is linear but fast: pull the lever, run back over the bridge, take the newly available right corridor, turn left around the fallen rubble, drop into the water, and enter the pipe. After the pipe, look up immediately, pull to the high point, swing the next gap, then drop through the metal floor. At Emergency Exit, keep the Blue Hand on the scanner until the shutter opens even while Mommy approaches. Enter and pull the crusher lever.
Translate your three train cards in the right order
Free Poppy from the web above the upper Game Station console and collect the third card. At the train, open the inventory and solve these layers separately:
- Arrange the four symbols in the positions shown on the first card.
- Use the multicolor controls to give each position the color shown on the second card.
- Press the four completed symbols in the numerical order shown on the third card.
- Pull the hanging lever only after all three layers match.
The cards are randomized, so fixed symbol and color strings from screenshots are examples, not answers. If the train does not start, audit one layer at a time: position first, colors second, press order last. The train sequence and crash into Playcare complete Chapter 2.

AppID 1817490, Mob Entertainment credits, the May 5, 2022 release date, the chapter’s separate-DLC status, and the untouched 1920×1080 hero JPG were verified through the official Chapter 2 Steam listing and the base game’s official Steam page. The route was reconciled across the readable IGN Game Station, Musical Memory, Whack-A-Wuggy, Statues, and final-chase sections. Random sequences and train cards were deliberately kept as player-side checks. Rate-limited and removed community pages did not support these steps.
