Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 Walkthrough: Broken Things Puzzle Route

Blue-lit factory interior with a Lily Lovebraids banner in Poppy Playtime Chapter 5

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 deliberately mixes fixed codes with per-save answers. The Bron office is always 0859, the Reanimation electrical room repeatedly shows 231, and the emotion sequence is fixed. Engineering crate digits, lever shapes, several locker clues, and the post-memory keypad are not safe to copy. This route labels which is which so a correct-looking answer from somebody else’s run does not become your blocker.

This route discusses every major Broken Things puzzle and story event. It covers AppID 4100940, released February 18, 2026; evidence was checked on July 21, 2026. The required campaign runs from the opening Huggy chase through the final terminal. Collectibles are only called out when they reveal a required code or sit directly in the completion route.

Huggy battery-room locker Randomized One digit in each battery room plus the floor digit
Reanimation electrical door Fixed Blacklight markings: 231
Reanimation tank keypad Randomized Clues in the lower cabinets and current room state

The opening chase removes your GrabPack on purpose

When Huggy breaks through, run. At the first deceptive split, crouch through the right vent; the open-looking left route is fatal. On the machinery conveyor, pull each blocking metal panel down in two stages: grab and release, then hold again to bend it clear. Reach the cracked-glass scanner through its large break, then take the right branch.

After the quiet room, use the blue grapple to cross, move the large block, and stack the red and smaller boxes beside the yellow crate to reach the high vent. When Huggy returns, the conveyor needs two Red Hand scans. Finish both, turn left, and grapple across the gap.

In the biohazard area, turn the valve below the first stairs and the second valve beside the painted footprints. Huggy breaks the route open; use the elevator on the left. Dust on a wall or ceiling panel telegraphs where his arm will burst through. The final scanner encounter ends with Huggy taking the GrabPack and the elevator falling. That loss is the intended transition into the Outimals section.

Light is the lock-and-key system in the Outimals tunnels

From the basement, pass Giblet’s cutout and use the lever in the red-lit room. Each following switch turns on a local light and forces nearby Outimals into their wall holes. Do not enter dark side rooms just because a door is visible; progress through the newly lit route.

The switch chain eventually reaches a room where a wall mechanism holds the star-shaped Glowby. Press its release and take the flashlight. Shine it at Outimals to clear dark doors. In the blacklight tutorial room, switch modes and follow the glowing arrows over the box route and back toward the opening sector.

The arrows lead to the office holding the master key. Use that key on the opposite door, then continue unlocking the intended path until you return to the elevator area. The master key opens the red door and triggers Giblet’s rescue. Outimals are controlled by light here; they are not a roaming boss that must be defeated.

Recover the GrabPack and install the Pressure Hand

Follow the blacklight arrows from Giblet’s hideout through the vents. In the large debris room, climb into the high vent to enter the inaccessible office, then use its hall to reach Bron. Climb Bron’s tail, move onto the box, take the slanted pipe toward the head, and recover the GrabPack.

The office across the gap is reached by pulling the suspended crate into a platform position. Flip the whiteboard and use the blacklight; the fixed locker code is 0859. The locker contains the Pressure Hand.

The Pressure Hand pushes marked crates, breaks compatible vents, and detonates the yellow organic growth later in Biodiversity. Use it to move the gap crate, cross, and break the blocked vent. In the vertical sections, ignore handprints painted on the wall when they do not connect; the actual grapple points are overhead. Before releasing one hand, identify the next anchor. The final door leads into Biodiversity.

Biodiversity tests four mechanics in a fixed order

At the entrance, blow up the yellow growth and push the crate. The control tank opens only when its moving marker drifts into the yellow-banded window and the status lamp changes to green; pull the lever during that state.

In the tree chamber, complete every prerequisite before targeting the center:

  1. Close both valves releasing blue smoke.
  2. Destroy every surrounding yellow growth with the Pressure Hand.
  3. Pull all three highlighted branches with the Blue Hand.
  4. Then burst the large central growth.

For the battery room, carry the first large battery through the vent and install it beside the battery already on the floor. Connect the Blue Hand to the powered knob and wrap its cable around both pipe groups. When both lightning indicators at the destination turn blue, strike that destination with the free hand.

The grapple power room requires one unbroken conductive connection. Connect the Blue Hand at the lower source, lower each overhead grapple pole with the other hand, and reposition so the live cable wraps its base. Grapple onward without releasing the source hand. At the third pole, lower it from the floor and climb back quickly before it rises.

At the double tanks, start the right mechanism first and trigger the left side before the right side stops. Their active windows must overlap. The next room has three wall indicators: activate the tank and lever, turn the valve, and hold the loose plug in its socket until all three stay lit.

Engineering answers must come from the current room

Use the overhead mechanism and movable boxes to cross the workshop, then carry the upper battery into the office. Its whiteboard identifies a rack and crate, not the final keypad number. Find that exact crate and scan it with the blacklight; the red number printed on your crate is the keypad input. The locker gives the magnetic upgrade.

Alternate magnetic hands across the marked wall panels. In the three-lever room, turn on the blacklight and copy the order of the three shapes shown on the wall. Those shapes can change between runs. After the mechanism stops, move the hanging cart into the broken walkway, magnetize to the middle platform, activate both tanks, and pass through the two rotating openings before they close.

When the fan drops you into the elevator shaft, pull the battery from inside the nearest car and magnetize back out. Install it in the cracked-door office. At the tanks, power each mechanism until their wall handles align and the second elevator opens. In the last magnetic room, the farthest of the three breakable vents is the progress route back to Giblet and Chum.

The Memory Lab separates elemental energy from electrical cable power

Move through the connected playrooms and break the cracked observation window with the Pressure Hand. Take the large P battery from the red room to the yellow room. Its cabinet opens the Conductive Hand, which carries temporary elemental states.

Take Ice first, freeze the material covering Fire, and shatter it with the Pressure Hand. Take Fire and burn the bow off the blue door. Behind it, open the yellow panels, take energy from the source, and charge all three targets one at a time.

The three memories are found by applying those tools:

  • Memory one: on the floor by the computers in the memory room.
  • Memory two: power the projector rooms in sequence, unlock the Fire panel, burn the upper bow, and take the memory from the desk.
  • Memory three: blacklight the four-shape order near the broken light, turn the matching fog valves in that order, expose Fire through the broken door, destroy the heated glass, then break the cracked observation window.

Install all three in the machine. The first sequence sorts only the displayed shapes and sends unmatched silver pieces to recycling. The second requires staying in lit zones and moving to the zone labeled Huggy Wuggy when the others go dark. The third reveals the emotion code: Happy, Happy, Disgust, Sad, Fear, Happy. Use that fixed sequence at the emotion keypad for the optional tape.

The numeric code after the three memories is different: read it from your own machine screen and enter it behind the machine. Do not substitute a number from a video.

Projectors buy one distraction each during Huggy stealth

In Huggy’s patrol room, charge a projector to lure him; he destroys it after watching, so each projector is a one-use window. Power the three corner panels, then collect three batteries:

  1. Use the floor vent beside the corner containing both a source and target panel.
  2. Run a projector in the room without its own panel so Huggy smashes the wall and exposes the second battery.
  3. Grapple to the roof of the L-shaped-desk office, open the vent, and take the third.

Each battery room also contains one locker-code digit; the fourth digit lies on the floor near the grapple route. That locker is optional. Install all three batteries at the central double doors to leave for Sweet Street.

Sweet Street’s truck always needs the next local energy panel

Break the panel above the hanging cloud with the Pressure Hand, take its energy with the Conductive Hand, charge the truck, and press the red control. At each stop, the route remains the same even when the playground changes: leave the truck, locate that stop’s live energy panel, return the charge, and restart the vehicle. At the third stop, magnetize up near the Lily cutout to find the source that sends the truck through the gate.

In Lily’s house, the crumpet errand exposes Poppy and Kissy behind a Fire-locked bow. The tea party requires three friends:

  • Pressure-launch the first from the tuba, read the room’s music sheet, play those piano keys, and retrieve it.
  • Magnetize above the stairs, rotate the hidden walls, take Fire, and burn the second free in the bathroom.
  • In the garage, reveal the battery sockets and cabinet vent, take one battery from that vent and one from the toy-car trunk, then power the car box so its windows lower around the third.

After placing the recipe book in the glowing shelf space, rotate the shifted wall, burn the hidden Lily poster, and follow the passage to the bedroom. Open the bed, take Fire, burn the cabinet ribbon, break the key glass with the Pressure Hand, and use the key.

To free Poppy and Kissy, rotate the new basement wall, power the elemental mechanism, use its inner vent to freeze and break the blockage, then take Fire and burn the cell bow.

Lily’s game has two simultaneous rules: move only while she hums, and remain on the purple hair path visible under blacklight. Reaching Poppy and Kissy does not avoid the scripted capture. After the Prototype scene, follow Kissy, use magnetic points across the mansion and roof, rotate the cloud, then fire the Pressure Hand at Lily’s cloud control.

Reanimation combines the chapter’s tools without introducing a new rule

In the valve room, turn the controls until every indicator on the wall is green, then drain the liquid. The central lab tank uses the same yellow-line timing as Biodiversity. Search the current room’s lower cabinets for its keypad pieces; their positions can change.

In the electrical-rod room, take power with one hand, magnetize up the rear wall, and drop so the cable wraps both rods. Hit the destination with the free hand. Blacklight markings repeat the fixed door code 231.

The giant machine room is a dependency chain:

  1. Move the lower batteries into the upper machine sockets.
  2. Complete the tank timing.
  3. Keep one hand on the wall source while magnetizing around all three rods.
  4. Hit the three-lightning destination with the free hand.
  5. Use the powered panel to reach and activate the upper rods.
  6. Pull both walkway levers, drop into the emptied tank, and turn its bottom valve.

The final chase ends at the backup terminal

Huggy begins the last run, followed by the Prototype train sequence. Watch the windows for stabbing legs and move only after each strike creates an opening. Before leaving the first carriage, look behind and lower both obstacle levers. Continue following the visible hand prompts through the remaining cars.

After the train and goo-container cutscene, Giblet heads toward the backup console positioned along the server room’s left wall. Use its keyboard, then pull the two override levers flanking the terminal. The final scene after that input closes Chapter 5; there is no extra hidden boss phase behind the server aisles.
