D-topia Mouse Locations: All 20 by Day and Time

Shiro searching the Block Side control room in D-topia

D-topia‘s mouse hunt follows a seven-day schedule rather than a free-roam sweep at the end. Five mice are tied to the Factory Area puzzle challenge on different evenings, several appear only after a repair or story action, and the last three wait on Day 7. The safe route is to enter the Block Side whenever a listed phase begins and collect before advancing the clock.

Steam officially defines two checkpoints: Friend to Mousekind for ten mice and Of Mice and Man for all mice. The 20-location route below comes from a current Steam Community guide that Steam’s browser page displayed in Chinese, English, and Japanese. That guide also warns that the full set is available on the happy or normal ending path, not the bad ending. Because the official achievement description does not confirm that ending restriction, treat it as a route-safety warning: finish the collection before committing to the finale.

Protect the five Factory challenge visits

The easiest way to end at 19 is to treat the Factory puzzle as a one-time side activity. It holds one mouse on five separate evenings:

Visit When Route checkpoint
Factory mouse 1 Day 1 evening Enter the Factory Area puzzle challenge after work.
Factory mouse 2 Day 2 evening Return even if the previous challenge is already marked complete.
Factory mouse 3 Day 3 evening Re-enter the Block Side version of the challenge area.
Factory mouse 4 Day 4 evening Collect before ending the day’s activities.
Factory mouse 5 Day 6 evening This is the last challenge mouse; Day 5 has no matching visit in the verified list.

Use those five as a separate ledger. If the final total is short by one and every public-area landmark looks familiar, the missed Factory evening is the first place to investigate on a replay.

Day 1: unlock the layer, then take three mice

  1. Central Hall shop shelf, afternoon: trigger the shop event that enables Block Side access. Search the shelf in the hidden version of the shop before moving the story forward.
  2. Factory puzzle challenge, evening: collect the first of the five repeat-visit mice.
  3. Residential return route, evening: while traveling back from the Factory Area, switch layers and inspect the fire extinguisher lying on the ground.

The first mouse is also the access check for the entire route. If the shop shelf contains nothing and the environment has not shifted into the dark, glitched presentation, the Block Side function has not been activated yet.

Days 2 and 3: use story changes as spawn checks

Day 2 evening

  1. Central Hall fountain table: catch the cat first. After that event, search the table beside the fountain on the Block Side.
  2. Factory puzzle challenge: make the second evening visit.

Day 3 afternoon and evening

  1. Central Hall beside Rainman: check the hidden layer beside the Rainman figure or character.
  2. Garden entrance steps: inspect the stairs at the entrance before going deeper into the Garden.
  3. Factory puzzle challenge: return in the evening for visit three.

The Day 2 fountain mouse is the clearest prerequisite test in the route. Reaching the right table before the cat sequence is complete can produce an empty landmark; finish that event, then check again during the listed evening phase.

Day 4: clear the Salon, Factory, and broken vending machine

  1. Lowest Salon sofa, afternoon: move to the bottom edge of the Salon and inspect the lowest couch on the Block Side.
  2. Factory puzzle challenge, evening: collect the fourth repeat-visit mouse.
  3. Residential Area vending machine, evening: find the machine that needs repair and search beside it in the hidden layer.

Do not combine the Salon and vending-machine checks into one vague evening sweep. The guide places the sofa mouse in the afternoon and the vending-machine mouse in the evening. Finding the correct object in the wrong phase does not prove that you already collected the mouse there.

Days 5 and 6: sweep objects that look like scenery

Day 5 morning

  1. Toppled Residential trash can: look inside the fallen bin, not beside an upright one.
  2. Far-right Central Hall: cross to the extreme right edge of the hall and switch to the Block Side before searching.

Day 6 afternoon and evening

  1. Top of the Garden: inspect beside the tree that requires repair.
  2. Cargo Hold: search next to the Block Side switch itself.
  3. Right side of the Salon: use the broken fire extinguisher as the landmark.
  4. Factory puzzle challenge: make the fifth and final evening visit.

Day 6 contains four mice across three districts and two time phases. Before ending the afternoon, check Garden, Cargo Hold, and Salon separately. The Factory mouse belongs to the evening and should be checked only after those three are secured.

Day 7: finish Room 047 before the final Factory check

  1. Outside Room 047: search at the doorway before entering.
  2. New room beyond 047: after the transition, inspect the newly opened interior on the Block Side.
  3. Factory Area beside the cat: return to the Factory and search next to the cat for the last listed mouse.

Mouse 18 and mouse 19 sit on opposite sides of a room transition. Do not assume that collecting inside Room 047 also covers its doorway. Check the entrance, cross into the new room, and confirm the interior pickup as two separate actions.

Audit the count before choosing an ending

Use the achievements as hard checkpoints. Friend to Mousekind should register at ten; if it has not appeared by the Day 4 Factory visit, stop and review Days 1-4 before progressing. Of Mice and Man is the all-mice confirmation after the Day 7 Factory pickup.

If the final achievement does not appear, narrow down the missing mouse instead of searching every room:

  • Factory ledger short: revisit the five evening challenge entries first.
  • Phase-sensitive landmark empty: verify Day 2 after the cat, Day 4 afternoon versus evening, and Day 6 afternoon versus evening.
  • Room 047 route short: check both the outside doorway and the new interior.
  • Ending already committed: the community route warns against the bad-ending path. Use a save from before the finale rather than assuming free post-ending cleanup exists.

This is a location schedule, not a claim that the official achievement is permanently route-locked. The ending note remains community-sourced because Steam’s official description only states the ten-mouse and all-mice goals. Future patches may alter availability, so the live achievement state and current-client map take priority over this July 21 launch-build route.
