Crisol: Theater of Idols Walkthrough: Puzzle Order, Bosses, and Stuck Checks

Gabriel facing an armored idol in Crisol Theater of Idols

Full story, puzzle, and boss spoilers start here. When Crisol: Theater of Idols stops moving, the answer is rarely another sweep of every open room. Progress is built around handoffs: a body gives Gabriel a brooch or switch, a tool changes which mechanisms work, a district returns you to the Fair, and the next gate opens only after that return is complete.

Use this walkthrough by matching the item in your inventory and the last mechanism you completed. It covers the critical route from the prologue through the final fight, gives fixed inputs where the evidence agrees, and replaces disputed click sequences with visual checks that work even after a partial attempt.

Find the missing handoff before repeating the room

The campaign has four district chains and one short final return. Keep this dependency strip beside the map:

  1. Prologue: learn the blood reload, obtain the knife, cut power to the truck, reach the Cathedral, take the Castilla Dagger, and escape to the Fair.
  2. Mermaid District: collect Bolt Cutters, open the chained spindles while evading Dolores, solve the three venue routes, obtain three medallions, mix the required cocktail, and leave with Espina’s Dagger.
  3. Ram District: use Master Switch A to begin the Hoist, clear Blocks A, B, and C in order for switches B, C, and D, then power the D lift and reach Lorenzo through the mines.
  4. Anchor District: recover the Small Ship’s Wheel, create the save-room bridge loop, earn the Lever of the Sun and Lever of the Sea, drain the tomb, and defeat Dolores.
  5. Twilight of the Gods: take the Harpoon Launcher, return across the Fair under blood rain, inspect Mediodia’s hat, enter the Cathedral, and break Ulises’s growths between absorption cycles.

If your objective belongs to a later line, but the named tool from the current line is absent, backtrack only to that tool or body. A locked octopus door before you own the Octopus Valve is not a puzzle. A dead Hoist panel while another block still has power is not a bug. Dolores appearing beside a spindle is not a command to empty your blood bar into her.

Spend blood after you have identified the safe exit

Gabriel’s firearms spend the same blood pool that keeps him alive. That changes how a room should be read. First locate cover, a crawl gap, a vaultable window, or the next mechanism. Then decide whether the enemies actually prevent that interaction.

A reload is also a health decision. Finish the reload before draining a nearby body so the refill is not wasted at a full blood bar.
  • Use a body as a checkpoint resource: a drained body disappears. Reload or heal first when it is safe, then Feed on the body. Do not consume a full refill simply because the prompt is available.
  • Give the knife a job: it opens boards and handles isolated enemies without spending blood. Its durability matters, so remember the nearest Sharpener’s Motorbike and keep a gasoline canister for the return.
  • Separate mandatory fights from pursuit rooms: ordinary groups may guard a panel, but Dolores encounters in Chapters 1 and 2 are usually about hiding, turning a control, and leaving. Breaking line of sight is progress.
  • Spend Plasmarine at the end of the decision: if a syringe slot is full and another syringe is in front of you, reload first, use one if needed, then take the replacement.
  • Save before stateful machinery: the purple globe is more valuable before a clock, name board, conveyor, or district boss than after a routine street fight. On Martyr, community testing reports that autosaves are disabled, so manual saving becomes part of the route.

Prologue: leave Rio Seco with the route habits you need later

The prologue is linear, but it demonstrates three interactions that recur in every district. After the pistol transforms, fire only enough to clear the immediate attacker, move the cabinet, and Feed on the animal outside. The next animal is a second refill, not scenery. When the route turns left toward a boarded passage, take the knife and use it to open the boards instead of spending another shot.

Keep the gasoline found along the Rio Seco route until you reach a Sharpener’s Motorbike. Farther on, the truck remains dangerous because the water around it is electrified. Enter the adjacent building, climb to the upper level, use the outside control to cut the electricity, and lower the shortcut before approaching the truck. If the truck still cannot be used, check the power state rather than searching for a second key route.

After the crash and tunnel climb, follow the Cathedral approach and take the elevator down. Inside, cross the bridge and Feed on the Solari corpse to obtain the Castilla Dagger. The escape introduces Dolores: movement and cover are the answer. Reaching the Fair completes the handoff.

At the Fair, do four things before the Mermaid gate:

  1. Use the purple globe to establish a clean manual save.
  2. Visit La Planidera so the upgrade and skill economy is visible, even if you choose not to buy yet.
  3. Feed on the corpse beside the blue truck for the first Solari Brooch, then open the matching chest.
  4. Use the available Fair reward route for Holy Blood if you need the permanent blood margin; do not spend time exhausting every prize before the first district.

The Fair is the campaign’s reset room: save, repair, spend, open newly eligible brooch chests, and only then enter the next district gate.

Chapter 1: turn the Mermaid District into one connected loop

Cuerno Albino is the chapter’s anchor, not its final room. Read the cocktail notes, use the nearby save, and remember that three medallions will eventually return here. The first real progression tool is in Ferreteria: enter through the window and take the Bolt Cutters from the workbench.

Open the chained spindles; do not fight the pursuer

Return to the chained spindle, cut the lock, and start turning. Dolores interrupts this sequence. She cannot be solved like a normal statue here. Use a shop, container, or corner to break sight, resume the spindle when the lane is clear, and cross the gate as soon as it opens. The same rule applies to the next chained mechanism: cut, turn, move. If she blocks the direct street, use the crawl opening and the interiors that reconnect the district.

The Bolt Cutters also open the shotgun display. Taking the shotgun before the venue interiors gives you a high-impact answer for forced groups without making it the default weapon for every target.

Use the three venues as a puzzle circuit

Venue What changes progress Reliable reset-state solution
Tablao Zafiro The stage clock opens different doors and the stage lift. 5:50 opens the men’s-side route; 8:20 opens the women’s-side route; 7:45 activates the stage elevator. Return the mechanism to a known time before switching routes.
La Perla Oculta Bedroom evidence assigns six names; the solved board reveals the body and the route to the T-handle. A Nereida, B Ninfa, C Ondina, D Delfina, E Galena, F Brisa. The reception safe symbols are Anchor, Coral, Squid, Anchor.
La Fortuna Esmeralda The domino-symbol vault holds the Emerald route item. From a fresh puzzle, use the left control on the inner ring twice, the right control on the middle ring once, and the right control on the outer ring four times. If the rings were already moved, reset before applying the count.

La Perla is the easiest place to lose the dependency. Use the peepholes and room evidence to establish the six names, solve the board, pass through the revealed room, and continue until Gabriel takes the T-handle wrench. That tool operates the yellow lift panels outside. A yellow panel that did nothing before La Perla is the expected state, not a broken interaction.

With the T-handle, reconnect the raised platforms and reach La Fortuna. After taking the Emerald Medallion, return to Cuerno Albino with the Sapphire, Pearl, and Emerald Medallions. The cocktail mechanism’s control order, from a fresh state, is:

  1. Fill the green middle tank, then drain once.
  2. Fill the red right tank, then drain once.
  3. Fill the blue left tank, then drain once.
  4. Pull the final lever.

The elevator route beyond the cocktail has two bridge halves. Take each basement branch and operate its control before approaching Herminia Espina. Feed on Espina to receive her dagger, then use the escape route rather than trying to defeat Dolores in the cellar. Returning to the Fair is the chapter completion check.

Chapter 2: the Hoist opens only in A-B-C-D order

The Ram District looks like four equal wings. It is actually a power ladder. Near the inactive forklift, Feed on Hector’s body for Master Switch A. Back in the control room, install it and route power to Block A. Only one target block should be powered while you work; leaving the previous block live is a common reason the next door appears dead.

Block Tool or state earned What proves the block is finished
A Wrench, cleared electrical panels, pressure controls, Master Switch B The fire can be extinguished and the foreman’s body becomes reachable. If the pressure route fails, trace the blue pipe rather than trusting an old N-03 label.
B Minecart handbrake, three distributor controls, Master Switch C The processed load reaches its final container and can be absorbed. The return path to the central yard is open.
C Dam controls and Master Switch D The dam creates a walkable route, the valve can be turned, and the final switch body is accessible below.
D Powered forklift/lift route The D unit accepts the last switch, carries Gabriel to level -1, and opens the mine approach.

Block A: remove the environmental locks before setting pressure

The early stair and hot-steam routes are deliberate dead ends. Work through the warehouse, use containers against Dolores, and disable the electrical panels that make the puddles unsafe. The route eventually reaches the wrench, which turns the steam valves and opens the factory path.

The three pressure rooms are N-01, N-02, and N-03. Read the blue pipe in each room and set its connected gauge to 30. Captured walkthroughs agree on N-01’s middle gauge and N-02’s lower gauge but conflict on whether N-03 uses the middle or lower position. The robust check is visible flow through the blue line: change N-03, return to the fire control, and pull only when all three branches feed the line. This avoids turning a source conflict into a false universal sequence.

Block B: obtain the handbrake before pushing every cart

Route power away from A and into B. The small container fuse room opens with 40, 50, and 30 active. Continue until you recover the minecart handbrake; carts that were immovable earlier now become route tools.

The distributor puzzle is about timing the moving load, not leaving every switch in a permanent “correct” position. Watch the green, white, and blue channels. At each console, flip the named channel to send the load through the next distributor, then reverse it after the load clears so it is not diverted on the following pass. If the load vanishes or loops, reload the save before the first console rather than guessing from a half-complete belt. Reaching and absorbing the final processed load yields Master Switch C.

Block C and D: make the dam route, then return to the control room

Power C and use 40, 45, and 65 on the sewer fuse door; leave 50 inactive. At the dam control, the target is a continuous crossing with its arrow in the green zone. From a reset state, move dial 5 down once, dial 3 down twice, dial 2 down once, dial 4 up twice, and dial 1 up twice. Cross, turn the valve, descend, and take Master Switch D.

Do not search the dam for the chapter exit. Return to the central control room, install D, and power the D unit. Use the wrench and handbrake on the remaining tunnel obstacles, then take the forklift down. The mine route ends in a Petreo encounter: create distance from the charge, fire after it commits, and avoid shooting into the armored approach. After the fight, ride back to level 0 and Feed on Lorenzo under the rubble. The Fair return confirms Chapter 2.

Chapter 3: build the bridge loop before entering either tower branch

In the Anchor District, take the boat to Padre Arroyo, leave through the available door, and pick up the district map. At the canal fork, use the left route to reach the house containing the Small Ship’s Wheel. This wheel lowers bridges; it does not open the octopus-shaped doors.

Lower the nearby bridge, return toward the map area, and lower the second bridge. That creates a short loop to the save room and La Planidera. Treat this as the chapter’s reset point. The right lift leads into the Sun route. A later lower route, opened with the Octopus Valve, leads toward the Sea mechanisms.

Take the Lever of the Sun before forcing the valve doors

Follow the right-side lift into the Tower of Judgment. The three Sun boards move rows and columns around a selector. Always reset a board before using a fixed movement list; continuing from a failed position invalidates every count.

  1. Sun board 1: with the selector horizontal, move the top pair up one row and the bottom pair down one row. Rotate vertical, then move the outside heads one column inward.
  2. Sun board 2: start vertical and move the far-left head three columns right. Rotate horizontal; move the top four heads up, move the anchor up, then move the bottom four heads up. Rotate vertical and move the central two heads plus anchor one column left.
  3. Sun board 3: move the central sun group to the top while horizontal. Rotate vertical and separate the left and right sun groups outward by one column. Rotate horizontal again, bring the lone bottom head to the top, place the lower sun group beneath it, then raise the bottom three heads one row.

Solving the third board exposes Castigo. Absorb him for the Lever of the Sun. After the returning Petreo encounter, raise the gate and descend for the Octopus Valve. Use it on the nearby door to reconnect with the save-room loop; now the previously decorative octopus doors are actionable.

Balance the Sea mechanisms by their displayed totals

The lower branch moves through balance pedestals. The important verification is the equal total shown across the completed pedestals, not the translated creature name in an older guide.

  • Sea mechanism 1: move the eel from the right pedestal to the left, then move one octopus from the middle to each outer pedestal. The display should settle at 4 / 4 / 4.
  • Sea mechanism 2: move the left octopus and left crab to the right; move another left octopus to the middle; then move a right-side crab back to the left. Verify 7 / 7 / 7.
  • Sea mechanism 3: number the pedestals 1 through 4 from left to right. Move the eel and fish from 1 to 2; move the eel from 3 to 2; move the octopus from 3 to 1; move the fish from 4 to 2. Transfer three pieces from 4 to 3: its octopus, its eel, and a crab. Finally move a fish from 2 to 4, then verify 8 / 8 / 8 / 8.

Some side rooms use bottle-and-crystal boards. These are randomized. Pressing a bottle flips the four surrounding crystals, so a copied button list is unreliable. Solve from the top row down: finish a row, then use controls below it so the solved row is not toggled again.

After the third Sea mechanism, continue through the combat route and absorb the second admiral for the Lever of the Sea. Return by boat and elevator to Arroyo’s temple with both levers.

Drain the tomb, then make Dolores spend her anchor

Place both levers in the tomb mechanism. The stained-glass rotor must form the full picture across both rings; the center is part of the solution. Current walkthrough captures disagree on the up/down click sequence, which can also change after a partial attempt. Reset the puzzle and align the visible picture instead of chaining a disputed list onto an unknown state.

When the image is complete, descend the revealed ladder and Feed on Arroyo to take his dagger. Dolores now becomes a boss rather than a pursuer.

  1. Shoot the exposed heart when the lane is clear; do not spend blood into the armored body.
  2. Clear the small enemies when she moves onto the central platform so they do not interrupt the next bait.
  3. Stand with a green wall behind the intended throw line. Move after Dolores commits to the anchor.
  4. When the anchor sticks in the green surface, Feed on it. That interaction is the damage gate.
  5. Repeat the heart and stuck-anchor cycle until the exit opens.

Take the elevator after the fight and collect the Harpoon Launcher. If the chapter does not close, verify that the Arroyo Dagger was collected and that the Dolores anchor was absorbed during each cycle; merely surviving the arena is not the completion condition.

The last chapter changes the resource rule before Ulises

Blood rain removes the ordinary ammunition pressure on the return to the Fair. Fight outdoors when possible, use the Harpoon Launcher freely, and pause in the rain if Gabriel needs to recover. This is the time to open any immediately reachable Solari chests, not to begin an all-collectibles sweep with the Cathedral waiting.

At the Fair, climb toward Mediodia’s hat and interact with it. Make a manual save at the Fair before this handoff if you want a clean pre-finale state. Continue to the Cathedral, collect the nearby syringes, and trigger the final encounter.

Ulises is a visible-state fight:

  1. Use the Harpoon Launcher on the active growths across the body.
  2. When every current growth disappears, approach and absorb Ulises. The absorption restores the cycle rather than ending the fight immediately.
  3. Reload before the next set appears, move away from the added tentacles, and break the new growth pattern.
  4. Complete three absorption cycles. If the prompt never appears, one growth is still active; change angle before firing blindly.

When a route still disagrees with the current objective

  • Chapter 1 trolley or jump does not respond: install Patch 1.3, reload the last purple-globe save, and retry the intended climb. The official patch specifically repaired a bad Chapter 1 jump area.
  • Chapter 2 ladder remains down after the dam valve: update before replaying Block C. Patch 1.2 fixed this exact post-dam blocker.
  • A Hoist door has no power: return to the central panel and confirm that the current letter is installed and the previous block is off.
  • N-03 pressure advice conflicts: follow the blue pipe and the live 30-pressure response. Do not treat a translated room label as stronger evidence than the machine in front of you.
  • A Chapter 3 boat or collectible marker behaves strangely: update, then reload. Patch 1.2 changed boat movement and fixed incorrect collectible markers after loading.
  • An achievement condition was met but did not trigger: Patch 1.3 repaired several trigger/reporting problems. Reproduce the observable condition on the current build; do not rely on an old hidden counter.

This is deliberately a main-route and blocker guide, not an all-collectibles checklist. Readable community sources disagree on the aggregate collectible total, and two supplied collectible references expose only video metadata. Crow, page, record, idol, memory, Holy Blood, and Solari-chest cleanup therefore needs a separately verified location set; none was invented here to make the walkthrough look exhaustive.
