Darkstone Bay Trophy Route: All 14 Trophies and Hidden Checks

Rocky landing beach and rowboat in Darkstone Bay

The Darkstone Bay platinum route has three checks that deserve more attention than the rest. In the mines, interact behind the pillar marked with a down symbol. After the four-arrow beach mechanism opens the way, keep walking beyond its door. In the last area, take the rocks-and-ladder route around to the symbol-decoding machine. Those actions correspond to The Darkest Corner, Hidden on the Beach, and Secret Passage.

The other trophies describe progress boundaries: arriving at the island, entering a new region, reaching a landmark, or completing the game. This guide therefore uses the 14-trophy list as a route ledger rather than inventing fixed codes for puzzles that the available written sources do not document. Check each name when its stated boundary occurs; if one of the three exploration trophies is still locked, stop before pushing into the next region and use the specific correction below.

Read the trophy list as an island route

Route checkpoint Trophy to verify What the description confirms
Arrival The Hunt Begins You have arrived at Darkstone Bay.
Cliff route Beneath the Cliffs You entered the ancient caves.
Cave exit Through the Darkness You found the way through the tunnel.
Beyond the caves Into the Jungle You reached the jungle.
Mine entrance Forgotten Workings You discovered the abandoned mines.
Mine side interaction The Darkest Corner You explored the deepest part of the mines.
Later beach route Along the Shore You reached the far side of the beach.
Temple entrance Ancient Secrets You entered the ancient temple.
Beyond the arrow door Hidden on the Beach You discovered the beach’s hidden area.
Underground descent Into the Depths You descended farther beneath the island.
Statue landmark The Stone Guardian You discovered the ancient statue.
Final approach All Paths Lead You discovered the final route.
Decoder-side route Secret Passage You discovered the hidden passage.
End of the game Darkstone Bay You completed the game and earned the platinum.

This is a checkpoint order, not a promise that every notification must appear in exactly the table’s row order. The useful comparison is geographical. If Forgotten Workings has unlocked but The Darkest Corner has not, search the mine interaction rather than the jungle. If Along the Shore is already recorded but Hidden on the Beach is missing, revisit what you did after the arrow mechanism rather than replaying the caves. Near the end, separate the statue, final-route, and passage discoveries instead of treating them as one event.

The mine check is behind a marked pillar

Forgotten Workings and The Darkest Corner are not the same check. The first records discovery of the abandoned mines. The written trophy solution places the second in a dark corner behind one of the mine pillars. The identifying mark is a down symbol.

  1. Enter the mines and confirm that Forgotten Workings has registered.
  2. Before following the main route out, inspect behind the pillars rather than only circling their front faces.
  3. Find the pillar associated with the downward mark and use the available interaction behind it.
  4. Wait for The Darkest Corner before counting the mine as complete.

The failure signal is simple: the mine-entry trophy is present but the bronze trophy is not. That means the regional boundary worked; the missing action is the marked-pillar interaction. Do not answer that failure by repeating the cave tunnel or searching the later beach.

The four arrows open the door, not the trophy

The beach solution distinguishes the progression mechanism from the hidden-area trigger. You must load four arrows into their container to open the way. Completing that mechanism is only the setup. Continue through the opened door and keep moving along the beach; the trophy is tied to discovering the area beyond it.

Use two checks here. First, verify that all four arrows are seated and that the route actually opens. Second, cross the threshold and continue past it instead of turning back as soon as the puzzle responds. Hidden on the Beach should be judged after that extra travel, while Along the Shore is the broader far-side beach milestone. The two names describe nearby geography, but they should not be collapsed into one expected pop.

If the container appears complete and nothing changes, re-check the mechanism itself rather than guessing a symbol code: the supported fact is that four arrows must be loaded. If the door opened but the silver trophy is absent, the supported correction is to continue beyond that door along the shore. The written evidence does not establish a separate collectible, timed input, or alternate platform-specific condition.

Keep the late-game landmarks separate

The final approach continues to use physical landmarks. Rocks, a ladder, and the decoding machine are more reliable checks than an unsupported fixed symbol answer. Official M9 Games / Steam screenshot.

The final stretch accounts for four different discoveries before completion: Into the Depths, The Stone Guardian, All Paths Lead, and Secret Passage. Their descriptions do not support treating one notification as proof that all four have registered.

  • Into the Depths is the descent beneath the island.
  • The Stone Guardian belongs to discovery of the ancient statue.
  • All Paths Lead marks discovery of the final route.
  • Secret Passage has its own location cue beside the symbol-decoding route.

For Secret Passage, the written solution places the relevant route near the journey’s end. Ascend the rocky approach and its ladder. Continue around the bend until you reach the machine used to decode the symbols you need. The guide author considered the passage probably unavoidable, but the trophy still has its own discovery state. Watch for its notification rather than assuming the machine, statue, or final-route trophy covers it.

No reliable written source in the checked set supplies a fixed answer for the decoder. That omission matters: the official game description explicitly frames symbol decoding as a core puzzle, while the available trophy solution gives navigation to the machine, not its input. Read the symbols shown by the current game and use the machine’s feedback; forcing a number or pattern copied from an unverified video would be less reliable than the visible clue.

Diagnose the missing trophy by its last confirmed boundary

What is already unlocked What is missing Supported correction
Forgotten Workings The Darkest Corner Return your attention to the mine pillars; interact behind the one marked by the down symbol.
The beach mechanism opened Hidden on the Beach Go through the door and continue along the beach beyond it.
The Stone Guardian or All Paths Lead Secret Passage In the final area, take the rocks and ladder route around to the symbol-decoding machine.
A regional milestone The next regional milestone Check whether you crossed the location named in the description; do not substitute an unrelated hidden interaction.
Game completion Darkstone Bay platinum Compare the list for an earlier unchecked discovery before assuming completion alone covers it.

The public trophy list contains 14 trophies: one platinum, 11 gold, one silver, and one bronze. The three community solutions are the only checked written sources that add location detail beyond the trophy descriptions. That is why this route is deliberately precise at the mine pillar, arrow door, and final decoder, while leaving the unsupported puzzle codes to the clues visible in the game.

Evidence and platform boundary

This guide was checked on August 1, 2026. Steam identifies Darkstone Bay as AppID 4622830, developed and published there by M9 Games, with a Windows release date of June 4, 2026. The official PlayStation Store identifies the PS5 publisher as M9 Creative Limited and lists the US release as July 2, 2026. The PS5 listing exposes no public semantic build number, so any changed symbol layout should be solved from the current on-screen clue rather than from an old fixed answer.

Sources and credits: The official Darkstone Bay Steam page, official PlayStation Store listing, and M9 Games website establish the identity, release metadata, environments, and media provenance; all three published JPGs are direct Steam originals. The 14-trophy ledger and three special checks were cross-checked against readable trophy references and community solutions. A Bartattack full walkthrough was independently identified, but its player was blocked by YouTube sign-in verification during this run, so it is not embedded and no unseen video action is presented as fact.
