Full ending spoilers begin here. This route is for Pocket Mirror ~ GoldenerTraum, Steam AppID 1899060. It includes the NG+ Chapter Select Hub introduced in the official version 1.1.6 update. It is not a room-by-room walkthrough. Its job is narrower: preserve the right saves, control the three optional Regalia, and turn each end card into a repeatable result instead of an accidental restart.
Seven main outcomes sit behind four kinds of decision: two early bad-end traps, the Fleta-Harpae-Lisette Regalia count, the all-Regalia race against Enjel, and a New Game Plus state change caused by Henri’s Room. The expensive mistake is not choosing a wrong line once. It is overwriting the save that existed before the choice.
Count three Regalia, not every gold object in the inventory
Egliette’s Messer und Gabel is required for progression and does not change the ending calculation. Keep a separate three-box ledger for the optional character Regalia:
| Character | Good-route proof | Ledger value |
|---|---|---|
| Fleta | Her good chapter ending leaves the golden bell, Rosen Glockchen | 0 or 1 |
| Harpae | Her good chapter ending leaves the golden hairbrush, Haarburste des Mondes | 0 or 1 |
| Lisette | Her good chapter ending leaves the golden scissors, Schnee Schere | 0 or 1 |
That produces four useful states: zero optional Regalia, one, two, or all three. If your count includes Egliette, every later diagnosis will be off by one. Correct the ledger before the final sequence, not after the wrong end card appears.
Name three saves before the route starts branching
Use separate slots and put the location in each name. A timestamp is less useful than a branch label when you return hours later.
- FLETA-SPLIT: make this at Fleta’s Dollhouse before her game results and final musical chairs are fixed. It protects both Porcelain and Fleta’s Regalia state.
- SUB-ROSA: make this in Lisette’s world at Sub Rosa. It is the late, efficient switch between an incomplete set and the all-three set, provided Fleta and Harpae were already handled as intended.
- HADES-RACE: after Dawn or Little Goody Two Shoes, accept the new-save prompt. That save can resume from Hades and avoids replaying the whole game just to change who wins the mirror race.
Do not overwrite FLETA-SPLIT with a post-musical-chairs file. Do not overwrite SUB-ROSA after confirming Lisette’s Regalia result. If one of those mistakes has already happened, keep the earliest surviving save and move the missing branch to the next run; a false shortcut will not reconstruct a lost Regalia state.
Record Porcelain and Blindness, then return to the clean timeline
The two bad endings are local traps. They should be harvested from disposable branches, not allowed to become the only copy of your main route.
Porcelain: fail the last chair, not the whole Fleta plan
Load FLETA-SPLIT and reach Fleta’s final musical-chairs game. Deliberately commit before the music ends or fail to claim a chair in time. The proof is the Porcelain end card; Steam can also award the achievement with the same name. If the chapter continues, you did not trigger the bad end. Reload the pre-game save and make the loss unambiguous.
After recording Porcelain, reload FLETA-SPLIT again and win musical chairs. Surviving this game only avoids Porcelain. It does not, by itself, prove that Fleta’s optional Regalia is secured; that requires every scored game in her chapter.
Blindness: use one early-follow trigger, then reverse it
Blindness has two nearby triggers in Harpae’s area. You can agree to follow Harpae when she offers to fix the fallen cardigan button, or follow her upstairs before completing Nuit. Take one of those choices on a disposable save. The named Blindness card is the observable result.
Reload the save before that choice. Decline the early button route, and do not follow Harpae upstairs until the required Nuit progress is complete. If floor exploration remains available instead of the bad end firing, you are back on the progression timeline.
Build or break each optional Regalia deliberately
Fleta: a musical-chairs win is necessary but not sufficient
For Fleta’s Regalia, win every scored minigame in her chapter and finish by winning musical chairs. The success detector is not merely that the story continues. Her good chapter ending must leave the golden bell.
If Fleta’s chapter ends without the bell, mark her ledger box as zero. For a three-Regalia route, reload FLETA-SPLIT and repair the missed minigame. For Witching Hour, Platinum, or the later one-Regalia secret route, keeping that miss may be exactly what you need. The ledger records the result; it does not judge it.
Harpae: separate helping from trusting
Harpae’s good route is easy to misread because refusing to take over is not the same as rejecting her. Use this action rule:
- Do not help Harpae in the Junk Room.
- Do not step in for her during Respite.
- Let her stand and solve the room herself.
- Hold her hand when she asks.
- Choose to rest when she asks you to rest.
The hairbrush Regalia is the proof that those choices resolved to Harpae’s good chapter ending. If the hairbrush is absent or her bad outcome appears, do not try to fix the count at the final staircase; the lock happened earlier. Reload before the first help-or-rest decision, or keep the miss if your target calls for fewer optional Regalia.
Lisette: lock both answers before trusting the chapter ending
At the tea party, Lisette questions why her name is familiar. Choose I remembered your name… Later, at the Help me? prompt, choose Yes. Either opposite answer locks out Lisette’s good chapter ending. The golden scissors are the proof that both gates passed.
If the scissors do not appear, load SUB-ROSA and change the needed answer. This is why Sub Rosa matters: with Fleta and Harpae already fixed, Lisette can move the optional count between two and three without replaying those earlier chapters.
Let the Regalia count choose the first full ending
Before Henri’s Room has ever been unlocked, the final calculation is straightforward:
| Optional Regalia | Final behavior | Expected end |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | A separate zero-Regalia ending interrupts the normal final path | Witching Hour |
| 1 or 2 | The all-Regalia race does not begin | Platinum |
| 3 | The confrontation proceeds to the race for the pocket mirror | Dawn or Little Goody Two Shoes |
For a clean first completion, one or two optional Regalia is the simplest route to Platinum. That normal ending also opens the next phase of the plan. If you intended Platinum but the race begins, all three ledger boxes are filled; reload SUB-ROSA and miss Lisette’s good result. If Witching Hour appears, your count is zero rather than incomplete.
Use one all-Regalia save for both sides of the mirror race
Dawn and Little Goody Two Shoes share the same precondition: all three optional Regalia. The branch is not a dialogue choice. It is who reaches the pocket mirror first.
- Dawn: allow Enjel to reach the mirror before Goldia.
- Little Goody Two Shoes: begin moving as Enjel’s dialogue ends and have Goldia reach the mirror first.
If the race never starts, stop retrying movement inputs. A missing optional Regalia is the failure signal, so return to the character ledger. If the race does start, finish one outcome, accept the post-ending new-save prompt, and load the HADES-RACE save for the opposite winner.
The named end card is the primary proof. A matching Steam achievement is useful confirmation, but an absent popup can be a sync issue; do not erase a valid Hades save solely because the overlay stayed quiet.
New Game Plus changes what one Regalia means
Porcelain, Blindness, and Dead Ends do not open the secret route. Complete a normal ending first, then begin New Game Plus. The official version 1.1.6 update added an NG+ Chapter Select Hub, so a qualifying completion no longer forces every cleanup attempt to restart at the prologue.
Inspect the Chapter Select state before choosing a shortcut
A developer-marked Steam answer says the hub can switch individual Regalia on or off and can supply the three Blue Keys. A later visible player report disputes the automatic-key behavior. That conflict has a safe detector: trust the controls and items you can actually see, not the chapter name alone.
- In the hub, inspect whether the Fleta, Harpae, and Lisette Regalia have visible on/off controls. Set the count required by your target only if those controls are present.
- After choosing a chapter, open the inventory before approaching Henri’s door. If all three Blue Keys are present, attempt the door directly.
- If any Blue Key is absent, return to the hub and start no later than Fleta’s chapter. Use the manual route below instead of assuming a late Harpae start preserved earlier items.
Use three observable interactions for the manual Blue Key route
- Fleta’s Library: climb the ladder at the far right and inspect the bookshelf containing A Boy’s Midnight Journey. Choose Look more into it. The first Blue Key is the success signal; choosing not to read replaces the book and loses this attempt.
- Dusk Study Room: climb the ladder at the upper right, take Wax Record III of V, then return to the library and play it. Wait for the record to finish and confirm that the second Blue Key is awarded.
- Storage Room mirror puzzle: face right and use the pocket mirror. A shelf with notes and a blank book should appear. Read the book and choose to look further when prompted; the third Blue Key confirms the interaction.
Use all three keys on the blue door in Dusk and enter Henri’s Room. If the door stays locked, diagnose the missing observable result: Key 1 needs the affirmative book prompt, Key 2 needs the record to be played rather than carried, and Key 3 needs the Storage Room shelf and book to appear. Do not search for a fourth key.
Entering Henri’s Room changes the one-Regalia branch. From then on, use this state table:
| Optional Regalia after Henri unlock | Expected result | Correction if wrong |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | Witching Hour | Acquire exactly one character’s Regalia for the secret end |
| 1 | Shattered Delusions | If Platinum appears, verify that Henri’s Room was entered and that the ledger excludes Egliette |
| 2 | Platinum | Change Lisette’s result from SUB-ROSA to move between one and two |
| 3 | Dawn or Little Goody Two Shoes race | Miss one or two character good endings, depending on the target |
The important boundary is persistent state, not a cosmetic item count. Once Henri’s Room has been unlocked, exactly one optional Regalia no longer behaves like ordinary incomplete-set Platinum. It becomes the condition for Shattered Delusions, the GoldenerTraum-only secret ending.
Diagnose the end card before replaying another chapter
| You expected | You saw | What the result proves | Next move |
|---|---|---|---|
| Platinum | Witching Hour | Your optional count is zero | Reload a character branch and secure one Regalia, or two after Henri unlock |
| Platinum | Shattered Delusions | Henri’s Room is unlocked and your optional count is exactly one | Use SUB-ROSA to secure Lisette and raise the count to two |
| Shattered Delusions | Platinum | You have two optional Regalia, or Henri’s Room was never entered | Verify the Dusk door state, then reduce the optional count to one |
| Dawn or Little Goody Two Shoes | Platinum | At least one of the three character good endings failed | Audit the bell, hairbrush, and scissors instead of practicing the race |
| The opposite race ending | Dawn or Little Goody Two Shoes | The Regalia route is correct; only the race winner differed | Load HADES-RACE and reverse who reaches the mirror first |
This detector-first approach keeps the long replay decisions honest. An end card tells you which state was actually present. Use that signal to choose the nearest valid save, rather than replaying every chapter on suspicion.
