Route boundary: this walkthrough covers the standalone Escape Memoirs: Mansion Heist game, Steam App ID 1925320. The retained official update history reaches patch 1.4.0; patch 1.3.0 added a six-slot inventory shared by the group, and the room solutions below still apply. The heist is finished when the Great Room’s gold cover opens, The Golden Prize appears, and you take the nugget.
The mansion repeatedly sends an object back to a room you have already opened. Do not discard the Study key, flashlight, iron bar, heist booklet, chemical photograph, Bedroom key, or symbol discs. Cats are a second track running through the same rooms: sweep them when an area opens, then use the room table near the end before touching the gold.
Make the Main Hall yield the Study key
Begin on the lower floor with Miranda’s color note and the cryptography machine on the round table. Copy the note’s colored layout onto the machine; its display resolves to 62454. Enter that number on the glass cabinet beside the upstairs spiral staircase. The cabinet opens and awards Cryptographer.
Collect six lower-floor cats while the room is still uncluttered: inside the red shoes, behind the red curtain by the floor safe, at the bottom of the dressing screen, inside the fireplace, above the bookcase beside the harp, and low in the wine cabinet. The bookcase cat is reached by climbing the harp. Upstairs, add the cats at the railing support beside the stairs, near the second candelabra, and at the last railing support above the vase display.
The cabinet note identifies the five vase positions. Six vases belong on those pedestals because the center position takes two:
- medium rounded silver vase from the first-floor corridor;
- slim white vase from the dressing table;
- handled orange vase from the wine cabinet and slim gray vase from the dressing table together;
- medium blue-green vase from the upstairs cabinet;
- large tan flask-shaped vase already near the display.
The safe opens with Ceramics Expert. Vase size matters as much as color; patch 1.0.1 changed the smaller models to make that distinction easier to see.
Take the Wheatstone booklet and find the loose electrical component on the bookcase. Match its shape to the diagram in the booklet’s upper-right corner, attach it to the wall machine, and turn the letter dials by following the booklet’s alphabet groups and line directions. The lower panel slides away, The Abandoned Project unlocks, and the Study key becomes available. The installed component is part of the solve, so settle that choice before spending time on the dials.
Use the Study and Storage as one workspace
The first-floor corridor contains a cat inside the pipe of the low open cupboard and John’s note about faucet pressure. Keep the stated 1.75–2.25 range in mind. Use the Study key on the panel beside the Study door, then slide the wire sections until a single live route runs from the left edge to the right. Extra dead-end wires are irrelevant. The door opens with Snooping Around.
Inside the Study, take the cats in the box seen through the chair legs, behind the books on the middle bookcase, and underneath the typewriter. Approach the typewriter from the left of the desk chair and lower the camera. Read the papers in the drawers, desk, and letter holder, then pull the wall light. The painting moves and exposes a compartment that needs information from elsewhere.
Return to the panel behind the Main Hall dressing screen, remove its bolt, and arrange the wired shapes in the note’s order: 1, 4, 3, 7, 2, 5, 6. This opens Storage. Take a flashlight from the corridor toolbox before going inside; current multiplayer builds provide a second one, so two players can inspect the dark room together.

Storage holds three cats: behind the paint cans, high on the red pipes, and beneath the sandbags beside the sink. Pick up the long iron bar and use it on the open end of the high duct back in the Main Hall. The falling bag contains the heist booklet and its default security combinations.
Under the Study desk, enter 9876543 on the keypad labelled Fyrgenhus. Take the grid paper from the released drawer. The wording “Charlie Right” and “David Down” points to row C and column D in the repeating grid patterns; combine those two results on the concealed wall grid. The opened compartment gives you General Wayne’s security-box note.
Use that note on the green upstairs box marked by a partial Malirus label. Apply the four offsets to the booklet values—5+3, 4+2, 3+1, and 2+2—to obtain 8644. Fit the six components from the box into the briefcase by connector shape, then take the chemical-coated photograph to the Storage basin.
Open the low supply lever and route water toward the sink. Bleed surplus pressure into other branches until the gauge beside the faucet reads 2, which lies inside John’s range, then run the tap to clean the photograph. The image provides the five settings for the upstairs lock. Starting from the untouched marks, turn its positions 4, 3, 4, 2, and 3 clicks. If the wheels were moved earlier, restore their starting marks first. The second-floor corridor opens and Look at this Photograph registers.
The Bedroom is three independent solves
Enter the left-hand room upstairs. Its cats are in the ceiling light, at the left edge of the small desk shelf, and under a bed pillow. Read Frederick’s 220-gram knight note and take the broken knight from the bin.

Colored-dot box
The sixteen rotatable dials contribute colored beads to both a row and a column. Solve the most constrained totals first—Row III and Columns B/C force several sides—or use the completed orientations below. Read each row from left to right.
| Row | Dial directions |
|---|---|
| I | right, up, down, down |
| II | up, left, right, down |
| III | up, up, right, down |
| IV | up, left, up, up |
Both row and column totals must agree before the lid releases. Opening it awards Child’s Play and gives you three small cannonballs.
Bells and the 220-gram plate
The bed-foot box contains six bells. Their star descriptions control pitch and direction. Tune and play yellow up, red right, green left, black left, blue up, purple right, then press the middle control. Sharp Ears appears and seven marbles are released. Pitch and arrow are separate settings; verify both when a correct-looking color order produces no result.
Solve the side-button box to obtain the two comparison weights, then use the scales to read the useful masses: red marble 5g, green 10g, orange 15g, blue 35g, and cannonball 60g. Frederick’s broken knight weighs 220g, so place three cannonballs, one blue marble, and one red marble on the entry plate: 180 + 35 + 5 = 220. Remove every other object first. The key drawer opens with Tipping the Scales.
Count all seven Workshop discs before the corridor panel
There is one cat in the upstairs corridor behind the far-left pillar near the Great Room door. Use the Bedroom key on the opposite door. The Workshop adds three more cats: between the long beams on the left desk, beneath the central bench, and under the separate left edge of the workbench.
Seat the three red sliding bars in the sockets around the tool-wall keypad. Patch 1.1.0 improved these controls; placing one bar fully before moving the next is more reliable than dragging all three in quick succession. The opened barrier holds disc 1. Disc 2 is in the small drawers on the right, disc 3 lies on the desk by the entrance, and disc 4 sits behind the security box.
The Regesund note supplies the security-box light matrix. Read it in the order that makes the sparse rows easiest to check: 3 uses B alone; 6 uses L; 1 uses GH; 4 uses IJ; 2 uses GL; 8 uses HJK; and 5 uses BHJK. Build the rows from the note rather than toggling the final pattern at random. The lid opens with Security Expert and contains the symbol booklet.
Read the large wall-safe glyph with that booklet as GLU, then translate those letters through the code sheet into the six buttons shown in the room. The safe yields discs 5 and 6 plus Solving the Symbols. For disc 7, install four working bulbs in the sockets under the desk near the entrance and set their dials to 4635. The third dial is already stuck on the required 3. Four lit bulbs open the last drawer.

Lock the corridor panel to its two fixed anchors
Carry the Workshop’s inventory-labelled 7/7 discs to the panel at the end of the upstairs corridor. Rotate the fixed left piece until its circle sits at lower left, and rotate the fixed right piece until its cloud sits at upper left. Keep those anchors still. The clearest outside placements are the four-circle piece at far left and the straight-line piece at far right; solve inward by matching every symbol on every touching edge.
The retained text walkthrough contains a placement-list conflict: it labels the pickups 1/7 through 7/7 but then describes eight loose-piece positions. This article does not turn that inconsistency into a false eighth pickup. Use the in-game 7/7 inventory state, the two fixed orientations, and the edge symbols actually visible on your panel. When all edges agree, the Great Room doors open and Eyes on the Prize appears.
Use achievements to audit cats, not the disputed headline total
The retained collectible guide describes 25 cats, but its own room headings add up differently and the complete indexed route continues through find 26. Treat the milestone achievements at 5, 10, 15, and 20 as progress checks, then use Legendary Burglar—not a disputed printed total—as the final test.
| Area | Indexed hiding places |
|---|---|
| Main Hall, lower floor | red shoes; red curtain; dressing-screen base; fireplace; above the harp-side bookcase; low wine cabinet |
| Main Hall, balcony | railing support beside stairs; second candelabra; last support above the vases |
| First-floor corridor | pipe inside the low open cupboard |
| Study | box seen through chair legs; behind middle-shelf books; underside of the typewriter |
| Storage | behind paint cans; high red pipes; beneath the sandbags by the sink |
| Bedroom | ceiling light; small desk shelf; under the bed pillow |
| Second-floor corridor | far-left corner behind the pillar near the Great Room door |
| Workshop | between left-desk beams; under the central bench; beneath the workbench edge |
| Great Room | under the rocking-chair blanket; at the central armchair leg; inside the vent beneath the wall discs |
A missing final unlock usually hides at a camera-angle location: underneath the typewriter, in the Bedroom ceiling light, behind the corridor pillar, under either Workshop surface, beneath the rocking-chair blanket, beside the armchair leg, or in the Great Room vent. Finish this audit before taking the nugget.
Spend the final clues in the Great Room
Collect the Great Room’s three cats from the table above. Search the plant pots along the windows for a wooden mouse, carry it back to the Bedroom, and give it to the cat on top of the wardrobe. The Cat Tax confirms the exchange.
Back in the Great Room, read Miranda’s note by the glass cabinet and take the constellation book near the central armchairs. Find Nebsat and Heliomond in the book; Heliomond is the small hexagonal formation. Stand near the middle of the room, locate both on the ceiling, and read the constellation to the left of the line between them. Enter VORTELATUM on the cabinet keypad. Recenter before deciding left and right if the viewing angle makes the relationship ambiguous. The cabinet opens with Stargazing.
The family book inside provides the death years for the five statues. Press them in this order:
- Press Percival Kadonberg first; his family entry ends in 1814.
- Christopher Regesund follows because his recorded death is 1877.
- William Arvonstein takes the middle position with the year 1886.
- Joseph Regesund comes fourth; the book gives him 1889.
- Margaret Arvonstein closes the sequence with 1921.
The stand beneath the nugget opens. Rotate its final pieces until the yellow, blue, and red channels each form an uninterrupted left-to-right path. Trace one color at a time; finishing yellow does not establish that blue or red is connected. When all three paths are live, the glass releases and The Golden Prize appears. Take the nugget only after Legendary Burglar has appeared if this save is also your collectible run.
At that point the room route, gold objective, and indexed cat sweep are closed. The verified public game page for this version boundary is Escape Memoirs: Mansion Heist on Steam.
