The shortest confirmed True Ending route in Alice in the Nightmare Land runs through all eight rooms. The two details most likely to force a replay are easy to miss: keep the wet paper from Room 1 until the fireplace in Room 5, and treat Room 7 as two locks rather than one. After entering 155, the second Room 7 input is 11, 13, 10, 12 from top to bottom. In Room 8, 3985 releases the gold bell; use it on Alice’s sister, take the key revealed beside the mirror, and open the right wardrobe.
This walkthrough applies to the Windows release associated with Steam AppID 2583430. It follows the required escape-room state and one written True Ending route. Optional adult-event branches, the separate publisher patch, and the other ending conditions are outside scope because the available non-video written evidence does not document those alternatives reliably.
One wet sheet connects the first five rooms
Room 1 gives you a clue that does not finish its job until Room 5. Do not treat the paper as disposable after it reveals the first code.
Room 1: assemble 1483 and keep the paper
- Inspect beneath the bed and take the iron key.
- Use it on the upper left drawer. The star clue supplies 1.
- Take the paper from the right side and soak it in the water jar. The triangle supplies 4.
- Inspect the marked wall digit for 8.
- Use the cup interaction, then inspect the cup again after control returns. Its final symbol supplies 3.
- Enter 1483 in the lower right lock, take the copper key, and open the exit.

If 1483 does not release a key, one clue state is incomplete. Reopen the star drawer, inspect the soaked rather than dry paper, confirm the wall digit, and revisit the cup after its interaction. Keep the wet paper in the inventory when you leave.
Room 2: restore both missing books
- Look beneath the drawer unit for the loose green book. If it is absent, inspect the green volume already on the shelf and check below the unit again.
- Read the shelf colors from top to bottom and press Purple, Green, Red, Blue on the four-button panel.
- Take the purple book from the newly opened right drawer. Put it directly into the purple gap instead of examining it from the inventory.
- Put the loose green book into the green gap. The written routes disagree about whether the green book must be restored before or after the color panel, but both books must be on the shelf before the wrench drawer opens.
- Take the T-shaped wrench, remove the fastener on the left side of the bookshelf, and enter the passage behind it.

If the wrench remains locked, stop repeating the four colors. Confirm that both the purple and green gaps are filled; the panel only exposes one side of the dependency.
Room 3: use the changed stall state as your compass
- Open the accessible left stall and take the towel.
- Clean the dirty inner mirror to reveal 927.
- Enter 927 on the second stall from the left.
- Take the key from the inner sink, open the cleaning cabinet, and collect the tap handle from below it.
- Install the handle on the first sink, run the water, and take the doll.
- Put the doll into the coded toilet and flush it.
- Open the stall whose state changed after the flush. The event must leave a screwdriver in your inventory.
- Use the screwdriver on the small vent cover beside the sinks and leave through the opening.
Older written routes describe the last stall from opposite viewpoints. Do not guess from “leftmost” or “rightmost” alone: flushing the doll is the trigger, the newly active stall is the target, and the screwdriver is the success signal.
Room 4: assign all six figures to their households
- Search below the doghouse and both sections of the right cabinet. Collect the first three human figures.
- Place those three figures in the large red house. This unlocks the left drawers.
- Take the remaining three figures from the opened drawers.
- Place Alice and Anya in the small blue house, and place the dog in the doghouse.
- Use the central door once every figure has a home.
If the left drawers stay closed, the first group of three is incomplete or in the wrong house. If the central door stays closed, check the blue house for both sisters and the doghouse for the dog. The optional side events are not required for this lock.
Room 5: turn the old paper into 383
- Take the fireplace poker beside the hearth.
- Inspect beneath the right cabinet and use the poker to retrieve the clock hand.
- Install the hand on the display clock. The repaired clock supplies 666.
- Enter 666 on the locked right drawer and take the firewood.
- Take the matches from the lower middle or left-side drawer.
- Put the wood in the fireplace and light it.
- Dry the wet Room 1 paper at the fire. It now reveals 383.
- Enter 383 on the nearby locked box and press the switch inside.
- Pull the red lever beside the door and use the opened route.

If the lever does nothing, opening the 383 box was not the final action: press the switch inside it first. If the paper cannot be dried, verify that the firewood and matches were both applied and that the wet paper still exists in the inventory.
Room 6 turns three clues into three kinds of input
The kitchen is easier once you stop treating every number as a keypad code. 1215 opens a cabinet, 4124 is a drawer order, and Left, Left, Right, Left, Right is a stove-control sequence.
- Take the tap handle from the middle stove drawer and install it on the sink.
- Read the wall clock and enter 1215 at the locked cabinet near the plant.
- Use the resulting key to reach the green liquid, pour it into the blocked drain, and run the tap.
- Reach into the cleared drain for the second key. Use it on the lowest stove cabinet and take the watering can.
- Fill the can, water the plant, and read the revealed digits from bottom to top: 4124.
- Open drawer 4, then 1, then 2, then 4 again. The second visit to drawer 4 releases the metal wheel.
- Reset the stove control, then press Left, Left, Right, Left, Right.
- When the mechanism opens, install the wheel and use the new passage.

An empty fourth drawer usually means you returned to it before completing 4-1-2. A failed stove input means the panel should be reset before entering only the five confirmed directions. The mechanism opening is the success signal; a click by itself is not.
Room 7 has an equation and a separate vertical input
The first half assigns four colors to four consecutive values. Purple is 11, blue is 12, green is 13, and red takes the remaining value, 10. Apply multiplication before addition and subtraction:
10 + (12 × 13) – 11 = 155
- Enter 155 on the table box and take the shovel.
- Dig the differently colored soil to the right of the fountain and take the crowbar.
- Use the crowbar on the boards at the right wall and take the loose board.
- Return to the paper and blocked path on the left. Use the board, then inspect the paper again to reach the second input.
- Enter 11, 13, 10, 12 from top to bottom.
- Inspect the opened chest again and descend to Room 8.
If 155 fails, verify that red owns the one unused value, 10, and calculate 12 × 13 first. If the second lock is unavailable, confirm that the shovel produced the crowbar, the crowbar produced the board, and the board was used at the left-side path. Do not reuse the arithmetic order at the vertical lock.
Room 8: take the short route to the True Ending
The left drawer is optional for this ending. Its code is 3849562, and it leads to an extra diary inspection, but the written route explicitly marks that detour as unnecessary. The required chain begins on the right.
- Enter 3985 on the right drawer.
- Open it again and take the gold bell.
- Use the bell on Alice’s sister.
- Inspect the area to the lower right of the mirror and take the gold key.
- Use the key on the right wardrobe.
- Leave together to reach the confirmed True Ending, Toward the Light.
If the key does not appear, check that the bell left the inventory when it was used on the sister, then inspect the mirror’s lower-right edge rather than the wardrobe. The route is complete only when both sisters leave through the right wardrobe. Other ending branches are deliberately not inferred from video timestamps or Store tags.
