Where Winds Meet Blind to the World: Plate, Bell, and Offering Route

Official Where Winds Meet screenshot of a swordsman looking up at a mountain settlement

Blind to the World is cleared by treating each puzzle as a state change, not as a code you can enter early. Release all three lake mechanisms, cross the statue plates north-east-south-west, and trigger the bell pedestal while affected by a Moonlit Flower. Shoot target three, target four, target one, and then target two. Beyond the gate, give Tian the sealed eye box before offering the special Moonlit Flower. The Jianghu Legacy does not end at the altar: use the gap behind the downstairs clothes rack and take the raft back to Qinghe to receive Blinding Mist.

Evidence for this page was refreshed on August 9, 2026, for the English global client during Version 2.0. English-language references may identify this Qinghe legacy as Volume IV of Jianghu Legacy or as Blinded by Mortalbound. Both labels describe the lake-and-shrine route below, not a Hidden Mountain quest.

Make Tian’s lake objective active before diving

In Qinghe, select Jianghu Legacy Volume IV from the exploration list and travel to the Crimson Cliff teleport by the deep lake in Moonveil Mountain. Speak to the man at the water’s edge; English guides use both Unfated Tian and Uncle Tian for him. Finish the conversation and check that the lake objective is now tracked.

If Tian is visible but the objective does not change, reopen the exploration list and select the legacy again before entering the water. The stone plates are not available on the original lakebed, so searching for them before the drainage scene only wastes breath.

The lake responds to three remote releases

Dive to the large device in the middle of the lake. Three chains leave that hub in different directions, and each ends at a separate control. Pick one chain, swim beside it to the far mechanism, interact there, and then return toward the hub before taking another branch. You can surface after every control; the quest does not require one uninterrupted dive.

The center is an indicator, not the first part of the solution. If it remains sealed, one endpoint has not registered. Trace the chains again and operate the missing remote control instead of repeatedly touching the hub. After the third control registers, a scene drains the lake. Return to Tian in the exposed basin to begin the statue stage.

Use the compass to orient the statue loop

Activate the broad disc near the blindfolded statue, then ignore the direction in which the camera happens to face. Read north from the map compass and step on the small plate behind the statue first. Continue clockwise through east, south, and west.

The confirming melody and the opening stone doorway mean the loop was accepted. A shock means the last direction was wrong. Leave the plates until their light resets, touch the large disc again if it has gone inactive, and rebuild the sequence from north. Reorienting from the map before the first step is more reliable than treating the nearest glowing plate as the start.

Change from fire control to breath control underground

Inside the new doorway, shoot the hanging ribbons with Fire Arrows while you are still outside their trigger space. A destroyed ribbon leaves a safe lane; if another strip still ignites, stop short and remove it from range rather than trying to run through the damage.

At the collapsed bridge, find the opening beside it that slopes into water. This is the documented progression path, not a jump across the broken span. Blue Moonlit Flowers in the tunnel apply the darkened-vision effect and make the route cues easier to notice. Move from one shaft of light to the next, surfacing at each breathing point before continuing deeper.

A deep optional chest can consume your remaining air margin and may be followed by a cave-in. Leave it for a separate pickup run unless the breath bar is full. For reliable quest progress, follow the current and the objective marker through the corner opening. The correct exit leads to a cavern facing a sealed doorway with four bells above it.

Ask for the bell pattern while blind

Climb the stairs opposite the seal and stand where all four bells are visible. Facing them, call the far-left bell 1 and continue counting across until the far-right bell is 4. The pedestal’s ordinary display is a decoy, so sounding the bells from that first presentation does not open the way.

Touch the nearby blue Moonlit Flower, wait for the blindness effect, and then operate the pedestal. Once its melody ends, aim at the raised stone markers above the bells and shoot 3, 4, 1, 2. In compact form, the order is 3-4-1-2. The blindness does not need to last through the shots; it only needs to be active when the pedestal reveals the pattern.

The seal reacts after four correct inputs and the stone gate can then be pushed open. If nothing changes, do not continue from the shot where you think the mistake occurred. Touch the flower again, replay the pedestal, and restart from target 3. Also confirm that the arrows are striking the plates above the bells rather than the bell bodies.

Tian needs the eye box before the offering matters

Push the unlocked doorway open to meet Li Zhenzhen, the seated Lunar Goddess. When her scene finishes, inspect the altar-side furniture and take its sealed container. Translations vary: some show Frost-Laced Box, others use Ice Jade Box, while guides often shorten the object to eye box. Regardless of the label, deliver it to Tian and wait until the objective turns from restoring her eyes to discovering her true wish.

Only then should you go down into her living quarters. Pick up the Small Blade from the table, then continue farther into the room for the special Moonlit Flower. Although both are presented as keepsakes, the choice that advances the quest upstairs is the Moonlit Flower. The blade is rejected in routes that distinguish between the two items.

If the offering prompt is absent or neither item advances the scene, check the earlier requirement: you must collect the box and complete Tian’s handoff dialogue first. If the flower itself is missing, revisit the lower room instead of repeating the altar interaction.

The altar scene is not the exit

When the flower scene ends, return to the downstairs living space. Search behind the clothes rack for a narrow opening in the wall, squeeze through, and follow the passage to the hidden dock. Board the raft instead of backtracking through the bell chamber. The reliable completion check is the return to Qinghe together with the Blinding Mist Mystic Skill; exact currency and material amounts are left out because live-service reward bundles can change.

For broader progression after this legacy, the existing Where Winds Meet route and cleanup guide covers the game’s larger structure. Current platform details remain on the official Steam page.
