Skills & Raids Achievement Guide: Route All 12 Unlocks

Skills and Raids map with Return to Emberwatch and other nodes visible

The 12 Skills & Raids achievements form three separate jobs: perform six hub-and-first-run actions, notice two optional interactions before leaving them behind, and advance far enough to unlock two areas plus the two end-state trophies. The rarest unlock on the current Steam snapshot is not the final boss. It is Pet Crowy, a reminder that a short hub action can be easier to miss than the story.

Snapshot boundary: data captured on August 13, 2026 identifies Steam AppID 4401370 and all 12 visible names and descriptions. The percentages below are live global values from that date and will move. The official update boundary is v1.3.5 from August 10. This is an action-and-readback route, not a claim that every quest, node, or boss room has a permanent coordinate.

Use the achievement list as a dependency map

Achievement Steam description Aug. 13 global rate Best checkpoint
Corrupted Defeat your first enemy 95.7% Opening combat
Focus Points Use a Skill with maximum Focus Points 85.9% Any safe encounter once Focus is full
Crowy! Send Items via Crow services 56.7% First visible Crow transaction
Extract Return to Emberwatch safely 54.4% First normal return
Questing Complete your first quest 53.8% First accepted completion
Crafting Craft your first item 43.9% Post-tutorial Trade / Quests handoff
Discovery Nodes Interact with Discovery Nodes 26.1% First optional discovery interaction
Discover The Eternal Dunes Unlock access to The Eternal Dunes 14.3% Area appears as unlocked
Discover The Edge of the Abyss Unlock access to The Edge Of The Abyss 10.3% Area appears as unlocked
Complete the last quest Goodbye my friend 6.1% Final quest completion readback
Defeat The Corrupter You did it! 5.7% Corrupter defeat resolves
Pet Crowy Who is a good boy? 4.8% Dedicated pet interaction

The percentages are not a difficulty ranking. Corrupted is nearly automatic, while Pet Crowy is an optional prompt that many players can walk past. Likewise, the relative rates of the final quest and Corrupter do not prove a universal order between them. Treat their displayed descriptions as separate completion tests and verify both.

Opening combat: earn Corrupted, then wait for maximum Focus

Corrupted needs only one defeated enemy. Let the first combat resolve normally and wait for the Steam toast or overlay readback. If it does not appear, confirm that Steam is online and that you launched the full AppID 4401370 rather than relying on an old demo session.

Focus Points is the first achievement that benefits from deliberate restraint. Its trigger is the skill use, not merely filling the meter. Watch one character reach maximum Focus, pause, select a legal skill target, and let the cast complete. The official Gods Blessing screenshot is a useful example of why maximum Focus matters: the card shows an additional clause at the cap. Your installed card decides the current effect, but the achievement still requires a skill to be used while Focus is maximum.

Do not spend the meter one action early because a button becomes available. The success signal is a completed cast from the full-Focus state followed by the achievement readback. If the meter empties without a toast, fill it again and choose a simple legal target; changing several skills at once makes the failed trigger harder to diagnose.

Make Crowy!, Extract, Questing, and Crafting four explicit readbacks

These four achievements belong to the same early loop, but no single menu click should be assumed to cover all of them.

  1. Crowy!: open Crow services, place at least one item in the send panel, confirm the send, and later verify the item in the stash. Merely opening the crow interface is not the described action.
  2. Extract: use the map’s normal Return To Emberwatch route and arrive safely. Do not substitute Retreat: the current official rule says retreat sacrifices backpack and safe-pocket contents, and the achievement description asks for a safe return.
  3. Questing: finish the objective and wait for the game to accept completion. Collecting the last resource or defeating the target is an intermediate state if the quest still expects a return or turn-in.
  4. Crafting: create one item and confirm that the result appears in the relevant inventory or character screen. Opening the crafting tab, selecting a recipe, or owning the materials is not the trigger described by Steam.

The official July 31 changes make this sequence easier to audit: the crafting tab should open after the tutorial, and a separate fix repaired the crafting tutorial itself. If the handoff works, craft one affordable item before reorganizing the entire stash.

Do not merge Crowy’s two achievements

Crowy! and Pet Crowy are separate verbs. Sending cargo proves the service transaction; petting uses its own interaction. After the first delivery, return to the crow in a non-combat state and look for the pet prompt. Complete it immediately and check the overlay. With only 4.8% of players holding Pet Crowy in the captured snapshot, leaving this as endgame cleanup is an unnecessary risk.

Take the first Discovery Node instead of assuming combat is mandatory

Discovery Nodes requires interaction, not proximity. The July 29 official update introduced a chance for a Discovery Node to replace a combat encounter. That means an old fixed map image cannot guarantee where the next one appears.

When an unfamiliar non-combat node is visible, route to it while a normal return remains understood. Open the node and let its interaction resolve. Then check Steam before moving on. If the map merely revealed the icon but no interaction was accepted, the trigger is not yet proven.

Do not spend several runs searching a claimed coordinate from a launch wiki. The replacement chance makes repeated observation more reliable than a permanent location claim. Combine the search with a quest or skill-drop run so an empty node roll still advances something useful.

Let the quest chain prove both area unlocks

Discover The Eternal Dunes and Discover The Edge of the Abyss both say unlock access. The confirmation is the game granting access, not simply knowing the area name, seeing official artwork, or reaching a neighboring node.

Prioritize the active main objective until the first area becomes selectable, check the achievement, then continue until the second access condition is accepted. The official store describes target, resource-collection, and specified-ability quests, so read the next requirement before leaving Emberwatch. Equip any named ability and reserve requested resources instead of converting them into an unrelated craft.

Keep the sequence evidence-bounded:

  • the current Steam list proves the two unlock names;
  • current official media proves the areas and map layer exist;
  • it does not prove a permanent quest number, resource cost, or node coordinate;
  • the success signal is the newly available area plus its Steam unlock.

Treat the last quest and The Corrupter as separate finish lines

Skills and Raids party facing The Corrupter in a purple cavern
The Corrupter has its own achievement; finishing the quest state is a second readback, not something to infer from the battle image.

The two late achievements are intentionally kept independent here:

  • Defeat The Corrupter is satisfied when that named encounter resolves as a victory.
  • Complete the last quest is satisfied when the final quest reaches its accepted completion state.

After the battle, do not close the game, skip every hub interaction, or assume the story state saved merely because a result screen appeared. Return through the route the game presents, finish any remaining dialogue or turn-in, and check both Steam entries. Conversely, if the final quest completes before the boss trophy appears, do not invent a second ending requirement; first verify whether the boss encounter actually spawned and resolved on the current build.

The captured percentages put Complete the last quest at 6.1% and Defeat The Corrupter at 5.7%. That small difference can come from player timing, patch history, or reporting delay. It is not enough evidence to rewrite the game’s order. The two explicit descriptions are the safer checklist.

Use patch-specific repairs before starting over

Missing unlock or blocked state Official fix boundary Controlled retest
Opening quest absent after closing during lore v1.3.5 fixes the Alt+F4 intro-lore path Update, relaunch, and inspect Trade / Quests before deleting progress
Corrupter encounter does not appear July 28 fixed a critical boss-spawn bug Confirm the update, reload the approach, and verify the encounter itself before replaying the campaign
Characters cannot be selected after returning v1.3.2 fixes post-run selection Restart on the current build and re-enter the hub UI
Map cannot move after combat v1.3 includes an intermittent post-combat map fix Update, relaunch, and repeat one encounter-to-map transition
Retreat behaves strangely v1.3.1 and v1.3 contain retreat fixes Do not use retreat for Extract; make one normal Return to Emberwatch attempt
Skill cursor remains selected while unavailable August 6 corrects cooldown-selection VFX Use the live cooldown/card state and complete a legal max-Focus cast

Deleting progress is the last test, not the first. v1.3.5 also made the Delete Progress button larger, but that is a settings change, not evidence that a missing quest or achievement requires erasure. Preserve the current save while transport, build version, quest state, and Steam connectivity are still untested.

Run a 12-line cleanup audit at Emberwatch

Before calling the game complete, read the locked list rather than trusting memory:

  • Corrupted — first enemy defeat recorded;
  • Focus Points — a skill completed from maximum Focus;
  • Crowy! — at least one item was actually sent;
  • Extract — a normal safe return reached Emberwatch;
  • Questing — one quest reached accepted completion;
  • Crafting — one crafted result appeared;
  • Discovery Nodes — an actual node interaction resolved;
  • Discover The Eternal Dunes — access became available;
  • Discover The Edge of the Abyss — access became available;
  • Complete the last quest — final quest state accepted;
  • Defeat The Corrupter — named boss victory accepted;
  • Pet Crowy — the pet interaction, not the delivery menu, completed.

If only one entry remains locked, replay that verb and watch for its immediate state change. Do not rerun the entire story for a hub interaction, and do not grind combat for an access achievement whose missing requirement is still a quest.

Sources and live-data boundary: the achievement total and current game identity were checked against Skills & Raids on Steam. Names, descriptions, and the August 13 percentages were read from Steam’s live global achievement page and API. The quest, boss, retreat, selection, map, and tutorial troubleshooting boundaries were checked against the developer’s official announcements through v1.3.5.
