A clean Duskfade completion run should not stop to exhaust every side path on its first visit. Follow the story through the Tower, collect what is already reachable, and postpone a location when the missing tool is obvious. The current launch-day 100% recording reaches the credits at about 6:19, then spends more than two additional hours revisiting named regions. That separation is the useful lesson: the first pass builds Zirian’s traversal kit; the second turns that kit into an efficient cleanup route.
This is a checkpoint roadmap for the August 13, 2026 launch build, not a claim that every chest is listed below. It gives the verified region order, ten recorded boss checkpoints, the post-credit sweep order, and a way to sort the public Steam achievements without inventing conditions for hidden ones. Weird Beluga’s own pre-launch estimate is about 16 hours for all collectibles and achievements. A highly directed video being shorter does not set a normal playtime.
Starting after the demo? Begin a new full-game save. The developer’s pre-launch FAQ explicitly says demo progress does not carry over because the retail opening contains added content and polish.
Use three states for every detour: clear, mark, or leave
Duskfade’s official movement language is jump, dash, grapple, and glide. The mistake is treating all four as if they are available when a region first opens. On the first visit, give each branch one of three states:
- Clear it now when the entrance and landing route use abilities already taught by the story.
- Mark it for return when the game shows a recognizable interaction that your current kit cannot answer.
- Leave immediately when progress requires an explicit story unlock rather than tighter execution.
Two launch-version gates make that rule concrete. The Grapple arrives near the end of the first world, so a distant anchor point before then is a return marker, not an invitation to force a jump. The Pendulum arrives near the end of the Underwater Academy and breaks orange crystals. An intact orange crystal before that unlock is a progression note, not a platforming puzzle.
Keep a short note by region rather than a list of vague “missed things.” Write the visible lock and the nearest landmark: “orange crystal below Hills sign near the town teleporter” is actionable; “something in town” is not. That one habit prevents a full resweep after each ability.
The launch route in five navigation blocks
The blocks below are editorial navigation groups, not official act names. They use the recorded Timeflux Channeler encounters as stable separators, then preserve the region and boss order shown in the audited launch-day route. If a later patch changes a transition, follow the current objective and map before this table.
| Block | Story order | Safe stopping rule |
|---|---|---|
| Opening | Intro → Ezarus Forest → Timeflux Channeler 1 | Learn the retail opening again even if you finished the demo. Take reachable pickups, but do not build a completion checklist before the first major traversal unlock. |
| Forest and fire route | Scorched Grove → Starstone Mines → Wrath in Howling Geode → Mount Cinder → Guayota in Prison of the Beast → Meridian Village → Lantern Port → Timeflux Channeler 2 | Use Wrath and Guayota as progression checks. If the next named region has opened, leave unresolved ability symbols for cleanup instead of circling the cleared arena. |
| Academy route | Clockwork Academy → Apprentices Wing → Sadness in Amphitheater of Tears → Craftmans Wing → Great Library → Watcher in Scriptorium of the Twelve → Canal Hamlet → Timeflux Channeler 3 | This is where a growing toolkit makes earlier locks tempting. Finish the connected academy route first; a complete backtrack is still premature. |
| Kingdom route | Guilt in The Observatory → Celestial Kingdom → Royal Highroads → Auric Palace → Father Gaoth in Veiled Chambers → Deepthorne → Timeflux Channeler 4 | Treat the Channeler as the end of this route block. Update your return notes, but keep the story moving while new regions continue to open. |
| Final approach | Stonetusk Canyon → Clockmakers Rest → Solitude → Desert of the Last Memory → Anchored Wilhelm in Chronos Aeternum → Tower → Despair → Allira’s Despair → Escape Tower → credits | Finish the Tower sequence before the systematic sweep. The verified route returns to Tick Town immediately after the credits rather than restarting the campaign. |
The order is more useful than an artificial “recommended level.” Official developer material says Duskfade has no traditional leveling system; Minutero’s attributes, special moves, gadgets, health, and Temporal Energy are the relevant progression layers. Any guide demanding a numbered character level is describing a system that the official material does not support.
Ten boss checkpoints, without invented phase numbers
The supplied fan-wiki pages describe precise HP thresholds, frame windows, stamina costs, builds, and several boss names that do not match the launch recording. Those numbers are not safe. What the launch evidence does establish is this progression order:
- Wrath — Howling Geode, after Starstone Mines.
- Guayota — Prison of the Beast, after Mount Cinder.
- Sadness — Amphitheater of Tears, after Apprentices Wing.
- Watcher — Scriptorium of the Twelve, after Great Library.
- Guilt — The Observatory, before Celestial Kingdom.
- Father Gaoth — Veiled Chambers, after Auric Palace.
- Solitude — after Clockmakers Rest.
- Anchored Wilhelm — Chronos Aeternum, after Desert of the Last Memory.
- Despair — the Tower.
- Allira’s Despair — the second Tower boss checkpoint before the escape.
Use the list diagnostically. If a recording, guide, or save discussion sends you from Wrath to an unrelated “Hollow Sentinel,” stop and check whether it covers an old demo, a different game, or unsupported material. If your current objective points to Mount Cinder after Wrath, your route agrees with the launch sequence. If it does not, the live client wins.

Start the cleanup in Tick Town after the credits
The recorded post-credit sequence begins in Tick Town at 6:21:44, then clears two town-side tasks before returning to the larger regions. Use the same logic even if your clock is very different:
- Tick Town: check shops, upgrade vendors, outfit access, and any town interaction you deliberately marked. This is the cheapest place to discover that a collection is resource-gated rather than location-gated.
- Ezarus Forest: start the geographical sweep with the first world, now using the complete movement set.
- Scorched Grove and Starstone Mines: clear the remaining early-world routes before moving to Mount Cinder.
- Mount Cinder, Meridian Village, and Lantern Port: finish the second cluster while its landmarks are still fresh.
- Craftmans Wing, Great Library, and Canal Hamlet: return to the academy interiors as one cluster rather than making three isolated trips.
- Celestial Kingdom, Royal Highroads, Auric Palace, and Deepthorne: sweep the connected kingdom route in story order.
- Stonetusk Canyon, Clockmakers Rest, and Desert of the Last Memory: finish the late-route exterior regions.
- Clockwork Academy: leave the broader academy revisit until the surrounding wing/library notes are already resolved.
- Broken Shard Glass pass: the audited route makes a final targeted loop through Scorched Grove, Meridian Village, Great Library, and Clockwork Academy. Do this as a named-object pass, not another search for every collectible type.
Notice what is absent from that cleanup chapter list: boss arenas do not receive a second general-purpose sweep. Do not fast-travel to every boss just because it was a memorable landmark. Return when your own note, the map, or a tracked collection points there.
Sort achievements by the action they actually require
Steam lists 25 achievements at launch. Fifteen have hidden descriptions on the public page, so their names alone are not a license to invent steps. The ten visible descriptions create four useful cleanup queues:
| Queue | Public Steam requirements | What to do with it |
|---|---|---|
| Character collections | Catch all of Tailord’s kittens; find all of Wally’s hiding spots; return all music boxes to Arpeggio. | Track each named owner separately. Finishing one set does not prove another region is clean. |
| Object collections | Complete the card collection; find all Rainbow Ingots. | Use a remaining-count check after the regional sweep. Do not confuse buying one cosmetic with finishing the full Ingot collection. |
| Economy and upgrades | Buy all of the Traveler’s objects and upgrades; max health; max Temporal Energy. | Revisit the Traveler after exploration currency is collected. Spend against the three visible goals rather than guessing at a hidden build trophy. |
| Appearance interaction | Dazzle Palette with your finest outfit. | Resolve outfit access and a valid look in town, then perform the named interaction. The public description does not require every outfit. |
For the hidden group, let normal story progress unlock what it unlocks. After the credits, compare the remaining locked entries with observable NPCs and tracked collections. A title such as “Back to school” or “Be my muse!” may hint at a location, but the official page withholds the trigger; do not spend resources or restart a save on a title-only theory.
Match a blocked path to the next reliable action
| What you see | Likely state | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| A grapple anchor across a gap, but no grapple action | The Grapple story unlock is still ahead near the end of the first world. | Record the region and landmark, then continue the story. Do not convert the gap into a precision-jump problem. |
| An orange crystal blocks the route | The Pendulum gate is not cleared yet. | Continue through the Underwater Academy until the Pendulum is obtained, then return. |
| A region looks empty but its collection is incomplete | You may be searching for the wrong collection type or missing a later traversal route. | Check the collection name, your ability-gate notes, and the post-credit region order before repeating the same floor-level loop. |
| The story objective differs from this route | A patch, platform difference, or missed current-client prompt may be in play. | Follow the live objective and verify the next named region. Never override the client with a launch-day chapter label. |
| One hidden achievement remains after all visible collections | The trigger is not disclosed by Steam. | Check completed story/NPC interactions and a current verified reference. Do not infer a trigger from the title alone. |
Launch evidence and update boundary
Duskfade released on Steam on August 13, 2026 as AppID 2542020, developed by Weird Beluga and published by Fireshine Games. The current official news snapshot contains the launch announcement and pre-launch FAQ but no post-release route patch. The official Steam listing, its announcement feed, and the publisher’s Duskfade page supply the four-world statement, no-carryover warning, movement verbs, completion estimate, screenshots, and achievement register used here.
The route and cleanup order come from a separately audited launch-day video by wolker4. YouTube oEmbed confirmed the title and author, and the public watch page exposed the dated chapter list used above. The video stream and transcript were not treated as text evidence, so this roadmap deliberately stops at checkpoints and cleanup timing rather than claiming unreviewed room-by-room directions.
