Duskfade’s Kingdom Hearts-inspired look is assembled from two separate customizations. Buy a Rainbow Ingot for the Shared Memories Minutero skin, then reach the blacksmith’s anvil after unlocking the Grapple. The matching World Hopper outfit color needs a Flask of Dye, the Pendulum ability, and Tailord’s shop after the Underwater Academy. Owning one half does not unlock or equip the other.
This route is for the August 13, 2026 launch build. It deliberately avoids an exact crystal price because the reliable launch reference does not publish one. Check the live vendor row before spending your last currency; the important resource is the correctly named Ingot or Flask, not an unverified number copied from a tier-list page.
| Look | Required item | Story gate | Where it is applied |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shared Memories for Minutero | Rainbow Ingot | Grapple, near the end of the first world | Blacksmith’s anvil across the gap beside the route to the Inn |
| World Hopper for Zirian | Flask of Dye, called Multicoloured Flask when first collected | Pendulum and meeting Tailord near the end of the Underwater Academy | Tailord’s town shop behind the orange-crystal route below the Hills sign |
Buy the Shared Memories Ingot before the anvil opens
Start in central Tick Town near the teleportation device. The nearby shopkeeper sells the Rainbow Ingot used for Shared Memories. Buying it early is safe because the item and the place that applies it are separate: the shop handles the resource, while the blacksmith’s anvil handles Minutero’s appearance.
Do not search the starting streets for a second weapon. Official developer material says Zirian always wields Minutero, his grandfather’s clockwork sword, and upgrades its attributes and special moves. Shared Memories is a Minutero skin, not a new weapon family or a “Keyblade build.” Fan pages that rank several unrelated swords are not describing the official one-weapon progression model.
After buying the Ingot, continue the story until the Grapple unlocks near the end of the first world. Return to the route toward the Inn in Tick Town. Before reaching the Inn, turn right and look across the gap for the grapple path. Cross it to reach the blacksmith’s anvil, then open Minutero customization and apply Shared Memories.
- Go to the shopkeeper beside Tick Town’s central teleporter.
- Buy one Rainbow Ingot.
- Advance the first world until Grapple is unlocked.
- Return toward the Inn, turn right before the entrance, and cross the gap with Grapple.
- Use the blacksmith’s anvil and select Shared Memories for Minutero.
The success signal is the customization option at the anvil, not the Ingot leaving the shop inventory. If you own the Ingot but cannot reach the anvil, your resource step is complete and your story step is not. Keep playing until the Grapple tutorial has actually granted the move; repeated jump attempts cannot replace that gate.

Prepare one Flask of Dye for World Hopper
The outfit uses a different item. You need a Flask of Dye; a flask found in the world may first display the name Multicoloured Flask. The name change is easy to misread as two resources, but the launch route treats the collected Multicoloured Flask as the dye item spent at Tailord.
You have two practical ways to prepare it:
- Pick up one while exploring and reserve it for the outfit.
- Buy one from the central town shopkeeper if you want the shortest unlock route.
Do not spend time hunting every flask before the clothing shop is accessible. Unlike Shared Memories, World Hopper is blocked by two later story events: Zirian must obtain the Pendulum, and Tailord must be met during the Underwater Academy. A flask in your inventory does not bypass either requirement.
Finish the Underwater Academy gate, then open Tailord’s town route
Progress through the Underwater Academy until you obtain the Pendulum near its end. This is the tool that breaks orange crystals. The same section introduces Tailord, the outfit shop owner; after that meeting, he returns to town.
Back near the town teleporter, find the sign marked Hills. Look below that sign for the orange crystal blocking the route. Break it with the Pendulum and follow the newly opened way to Tailord. If the crystal does not break, confirm that the Pendulum has been granted as an active story ability rather than assuming the shop is bugged.
Talk to Tailord and select the World Hopper color for Zirian’s base outfit. Pay one Flask of Dye plus the crystal cost shown by the live vendor. World Hopper is a recolor of the base outfit, so it is available without first returning Tailord’s kittens. Other clothing options may ask for kitten progress; that does not make the kittens a prerequisite for this specific color.
- Keep one Flask of Dye; a world pickup may initially say Multicoloured Flask.
- Reach the later part of the Underwater Academy.
- Obtain the Pendulum and meet Tailord.
- Return to the teleporter area in town and locate the Hills sign.
- Break the orange crystal below it with the Pendulum.
- Enter Tailord’s shop and buy World Hopper for the base outfit using the Flask and the displayed crystal cost.
Choose the efficient order for your current save
| Your save state | Shortest next move | Do not waste time on |
|---|---|---|
| Still in the first world | Buy the Rainbow Ingot if convenient, then continue to the Grapple unlock. | Trying to cross the anvil gap without Grapple. |
| Grapple unlocked, no Shared Memories | Return toward the Inn, take the right-side grapple route, and check the anvil. Buy the Ingot first if it is missing. | Searching combat menus for another weapon slot. |
| You have a Flask, but no Pendulum | Reserve the Flask and continue to the end portion of the Underwater Academy. | Repeatedly attacking the Hills orange crystal with normal moves. |
| Pendulum unlocked, Tailord absent | Verify that you met Tailord during the academy route, then return to town. | Collecting kittens in the hope that they spawn the shopkeeper. |
| Tailord is present, World Hopper is unavailable | Check that you are viewing the base outfit’s color choices and that a Flask of Dye is in inventory. | Assuming Shared Memories or a Rainbow Ingot pays for clothing. |
Do not confuse one Rainbow Ingot with the collection achievement
The public Steam achievement The most beautiful sword in the land requires finding all Rainbow Ingots. Buying or using the one needed for Shared Memories is only one cosmetic unlock step; it is not evidence that the full collection is finished. Treat the anvil result and the achievement tracker as different checks.
The same separation helps with clothing. The mask of pain asks you to dazzle Palette with an outfit, while Come here right meow asks for all of Tailord’s kittens. World Hopper can be purchased without the kitten collection, so do not merge those three goals into one oversized prerequisite chain.
Fix the exact failure instead of repeating the route
| Failure signal | Missing state | Repair |
|---|---|---|
| The blacksmith area is visible but unreachable. | Grapple has not been unlocked. | Finish the first-world story gate, then return to the right-hand route before the Inn. |
| The anvil opens, but Shared Memories is not ready to apply. | The Rainbow Ingot purchase is missing or the wrong customization category is open. | Check the central shopkeeper, then reopen Minutero skins at the anvil. |
| The orange crystal below Hills does not react. | Pendulum is not yet available. | Continue the Underwater Academy until the story grants it. |
| The crystal is gone, but the clothing route still feels incomplete. | Tailord may not have been met in the academy. | Complete that story meeting, then revisit the opened town route. |
| World Hopper asks for a resource you cannot match. | The collected item may now be labeled Flask of Dye rather than Multicoloured Flask. | Check the vendor requirement against inventory before buying another flask. |
| A guide says kittens are mandatory. | It is applying another outfit’s rule to a base-outfit recolor. | Select World Hopper under Zirian’s base outfit; save kitten cleanup for its own collection goal. |
Launch-version evidence boundary
Duskfade released on August 13, 2026 as Steam AppID 2542020. Official sources confirm Weird Beluga as developer, Fireshine Games as publisher, Minutero as Zirian’s single transforming sword, and Kingdom Hearts as one of the studio’s stated inspirations. The official Steam listing supplies the current release identity, screenshots, and achievement descriptions; developer and publisher posts establish the design points.
The item names, shop landmarks, Grapple and Pendulum gates, Tailord sequence, and the no-kitten requirement for World Hopper come from a hands-on launch guide captured on release day. They are presented as a verified walkthrough reference rather than official documentation. If a later patch renames an item, moves a vendor, or changes the displayed cost, follow the current client; the route’s two independent customization chains remain the check to perform.
