Interdimensional Vending Machine 100% Guide: Endings and Ascension Order

Aster in a transformed state on a city street in Interdimensional Vending Machine

The dangerous part of an Interdimensional Vending Machine 100% run is the order of cleanup, not finding one universal vending code. Most item numbers are randomized inside price pools, while two late milestones can erase the run you used to reach them. Open the city, build a repeatable yen loop, finish the 31 Final Form achievements and six containment outcomes, then leave One Hundred Thousand and Monstrosity for the end.

This route is for the Steam 1.0 release launched on June 10, 2026, which currently lists 69 achievements. Older mobile and itch guides describe a development build in which Police and Starvation were the only true endings. That is not the correct boundary for the paid PC release: the launch announcement says 1.0 added eight animated ending scenes, nine other scenes, 400 animated forms, and new quality-of-life systems.

Keep a run sheet because the machine will not keep your old code

Before spending serious money, record four things outside the game: the price pool you tested, the exact number that produced the item in this save, the route icon shown on that item, and the number of filled stars on the resulting form. The current 100% reference corrected its own early route after discovering that item numbers are not shared reliably between saves. A separate drop catalog reaches the same conclusion: most foods move within broad pools even though the lowest apple-seed and kettle-corn entries are more stable.

Use the round hundreds as probes rather than recipes. Testing 100, 200, 300, and onward through 900 reveals the active categories without pretending that another player’s 52-yen result belongs to you. Once the correct route icon appears, use the exact number displayed in your own index for repeated pulls. Re-probe after a reset instead of assuming the old note survived.

A useful entry looks like this:

Current save: 100 pool – item code ___ – ROT icon – stage ___/___ – final-form achievement pending.

If you have only written the food name, the note is incomplete. Several foods can share a price band, and the route icon is the reliable link between a purchase and a mutation.

Open the city through one feeding chain

The map expands through NPC contact and feeding rather than through a level-select menu. Do this chain before farming expensive routes so every money source and utility is available:

  1. Main Street: change the view across the road and collect the Street Box for the Street Box achievement. Speak to the Old Woman and give her an item. This opens Empty Street and access to the apartment rental.
  2. Empty Street: go left, speak to the man there, give him food, and finish his dialogue. Dark Street and the Mysterious Tree become available.
  3. Apartment: save 2,000 yen and pay the rent. Renting awards The Apartment and opens the Mall Entrance. Do not divert this first 2,000 yen into a speculative transformation.
  4. Mall Entrance: feed the transformed Young Boy on the left. This opens Busy Street and the coin merger. Continue feeding him when you need a strong return on large apple-seed bags; receiving 10,000 yen from him awards Small Hand, Heavy Coin.
  5. Busy Street: speak to and feed the two characters on the left. Furthest Street and the Nightclub then complete the main location chain.

The map is also a diagnostic. A missing late location usually means an NPC interaction or feeding step was left unfinished, not that a hidden day counter has failed.

If a location does not appear, revisit the last person in the chain and complete both the food handoff and the remaining dialogue. Merely opening the character screen is not enough. If the Mall Entrance is missing, check the 2,000-yen rent; if Busy Street is missing, return to the Young Boy; if Furthest Street is missing, return to the pair on Busy Street.

Turn mutation danger into a yen engine

A low-level form is useful before it is finished. As its danger or disruption state rises, the machine can dispense more items per purchase and passers-by can produce larger coins. That is why the first route should be chosen for accessibility, not because it is permanently “best.” The updated community route uses a ROT item such as a moldy sandwich, but its quoted number is save-specific. Find a ROT icon in your own low-price pool, eat enough to establish a few stages, then beg again.

Dark Street removes the physical bottleneck of inserting many small coins. Give the Raven 10,000 or 50,000 yen, return on the next day, and collect the same value as one coin. Feeding that coin into the vending machine produces a large apple-seed bag. Give the bag to the Old Woman or, after the Mall route opens, the Young Boy. The precise return depends on the current run, so judge the loop by whether the handoff funds the next bag plus your survival stock.

Do not spend the entire return. Keep three reserves:

  • survival stock that does not advance an unwanted route;
  • the next Raven exchange so the loop can repeat without starting from one-yen begging;
  • one route budget for the icon you are currently pushing to its last star.

If income falls after a form change, inspect the route and danger display before blaming the location. If the machine stops producing multiples, the current mutation may not have rebuilt the disruption threshold you used in the previous cycle.

A Final Form, a Rebirth, and an Ascension are three different checkpoints

The Final Form achievement appears when every star for that route is filled. Routes do not all have the same number of stages: the current guide reports forms ranging from two to ten stars. A striking new portrait is therefore not proof that the route is finished. Open the transformation detail and count the stars.

Once the final stage is confirmed, use Rebirth. Choose Ascension when the run is still opening item roads. The current full-release 100% route requires 13 ascensions to expose all associated roads and their item families. Repeating a familiar, inexpensive form is valid when the goal is another ascension; you do not need to force a rare final form every time merely to open the next road.

Filled stars are the completion test. The item icon in the consumption panel is the repeatable targeting tool when exact yen numbers move.

When hunger reaches zero, a working mutation can be lost or diverted into starvation progress. Carry neutral food that does not display the route icon you are building. If the portrait regresses, stop buying at random: reselect the recorded icon, restore the target form, and check its stars again.

Bank the counter and utility achievements before either full reset

Most of the 69 achievements can be cleared while the map and money loop are still intact. The official achievement descriptions divide cleanly into counters and small interactions:

Track Achievements Safe handling
Vending spend Curiosity 100; Necessity 1,000; Absurdity 10,000; Obesity 100,000; Peculiarity 250,000; Insanity 500,000 Earn these through normal route pulls. Stop short of the 1,000,000 total until final cleanup.
Begging income Outcast 1,000; Vagabond 10,000; Resident 50,000; Governor 100,000 Use a stable form at Mall Entrance after the map is open; no single coin denomination is required.
Item discovery Initial Analysis 10; Sample Analysis 50; Experimental Analysis 100; Structural Analysis 200; Research Analysis 300 Probe new pools and ascend into new roads. Repeating a known code raises quantity, not discovery count.
Coffee spend Intern 100; Regular 1,000; Baron 10,000 These require spending thresholds only. The 100 named drinks are optional and are not required for the 69-achievement set.
Map and storage Empty Street; Street Box; The Apartment; Dark Street; Busy Street; Furthest Street; Saved for Later Complete the feeding chain, then put any food in the apartment fridge for Saved for Later.
NPC and utility Simple Kindness; Grows Again; Small Hand, Heavy Coin; Tribute; Stolen Mercy Receive food from Manly; clone and collect an item at the Mysterious Tree; collect 10,000 from the Young Boy; receive 50,000 from the Raven; steal a cumulative 10,000 from the man on the right side of Empty Street.

Stolen Mercy is a daily accumulation task. The available amount varies and the source run never observed more than 500 yen in one day, so visit during other loops rather than stopping progression to wait. Grows Again requires collecting the clone after placing an item at the tree; leaving immediately after the deposit does not finish the achievement.

Use the 31 Final Form names as the route checklist

Steam’s descriptions name the required route even when a community screenshot uses only an icon. Mark the achievement only after the last star, then rebirth or move to the next road.

Method Final Form achievements Decision rule
Behavior route Anorexia; Forsaken For Anorexia, stop eating and follow the starvation route through its seven reported stages. For Forsaken, discard inventory items repeatedly until the DISCARD route fills.
Low-pool anchors Perfection; Necrosis; Avarice Apple seeds build PERFECT; a ROT-icon food builds ROTTEN; Rat on Stick is the readable Avarice anchor. Discover the exact number in this save.
2,000-yen pool Angel; Devil Separate angelic and demonic icons instead of mixing both families. Devil is also needed for one containment outcome.
Route-icon cleanup Hollow Bride; Vampire; Anomaly; Extraterrestrial; Centipedes; Not Human; Insect; Leech; Visceral; Vermin; Flame; Shoggoth; Dragon; Moth; Outer God; Necronomicon; Cat; Fungus; Mold; Mushroom; Giant; Sculpted; Scarlet King; Tumor Probe the 50, 100, and 1,000 pools, identify the icon that matches the named route, then repeat only the current-save code. The three fungi routes can branch from the same icon family, so inspect the first stage and switch away if it repeats a form already cleared.

The achievement title and route description are not always the same word. Hollow Bride is LIQUID, Necrosis is ROTTEN, Extraterrestrial is ALIEN, Visceral is FETUS, Forsaken is DISCARD, Necronomicon is NECRO, and Sculpted is STATUE. Use those pairs when the icon list and Steam list appear to disagree.

Trigger the six YOU GOT outcomes after the form work is banked

These are terminal events rather than additional Final Forms. The official achievement page names six organizations or classifications; the current 100% route supplies the following trigger order:

  1. YOU GOT CAUGHT! Rebirth, return to the default character, beg, and let the police event complete.
  2. YOU GOT ACQUIRED! Find Figi Water or another item with the same route icon in your current low pool, drink only enough for stage one, then beg at Mall Entrance. Choose to stay when the warning offers an exit. The route reference says the form must reach the displayed Slam danger band without dropping below it.
  3. YOU GOT RESOLVED! Use the correct icon from the 100-yen pool, build to stage three, and beg at Mall Entrance through the alerts. If nothing resolves, the route must be capable of reaching the Keneq danger band shown in the client.
  4. YOU GOT NEUTRALIZED! Finish AVARICE with Rat on Stick, then continue begging until the Global Occult Coalition event fires.
  5. YOU GOT CONTAINED! Build DEVIL from the 2,000-yen pool to its Final Form, then beg through the Keter warning. A repeating warning means the current form is not crossing the necessary Amida-level boundary; the source recommends retrying with another form that can reach that tier.
  6. YOU GOT RECLASSIFIED! Complete the three-stage ANOMALY route, beg until the classification sequence starts, and stay for the Thaumiel result.

Do not react to the first alert by immediately leaving. Several outcomes are a chain of warnings followed by a final choice. The safe diagnostic is the client state: correct route, required stage, sufficient danger ceiling, correct begging location, then the final alert. A copied item number cannot repair a form whose danger band is too low.

Leave One Hundred Thousand and Monstrosity for the cleanup save

The updated completion route reports two progress-destructive milestones. One Hundred Thousand requires consuming 100,000 apple seeds; the guide warns that completing it can restart progress and clear the food index. Monstrosity is awarded at a cumulative 1,000,000 yen spent on the vending machine and is also reported to reset the game. Treat both as last actions even if a later patch changes the presentation of the warning.

Before crossing either threshold, confirm all of the following:

  • Research Analysis has registered 300 discovered items.
  • All 31 Final Form achievements are visible in Steam.
  • All six YOU GOT achievements have registered.
  • Stolen Mercy, Tribute, Small Hand, Heavy Coin, Grows Again, and Saved for Later are finished.
  • The Coffee machine spend trio is complete.

For the seed milestone, use two large 50,000-seed bags only after that audit. For Monstrosity, check the Steam counter at the 500,000-yen Insanity milestone and approach one million deliberately. Do not combine both cleanup experiments with unfinished discovery work.

The 1.0 announcement promises eight animated ending scenes and nine other scenes, but the supplied current scene guide labels itself unfinished. It identifies only four numbered cutscene thresholds: 50,000 total vending spend for Cutscene 1, 100,000 for Cutscene 3, 500,000 for Cutscene 6, and 1,000,000 for Cutscene 8. Entries 2, 4, 5, and 7 are blank, so there is no evidence-backed complete cutscene recipe to print.

The same WIP source does provide eight repeatable Stomach scene inputs. Each costs 100 yen at the Coffee machine:

Scene Accepted input words reported by the current guide
Stomach 1 mercury, poison, venom, mud, detergent, or tar
Stomach 2 lightning
Stomach 3 acid, metal, or gold
Stomach 4 asphalt, wax, or plastic
Stomach 5 nitrogen, pesticide, or fuel
Stomach 6 lava
Stomach 7 nitroglycerin
Stomach 8 carbon

These gallery scenes do not replace the six YOU GOT achievements or the 31 route achievements. If Steam reads 69/69 while the gallery still has silhouettes, the achievement run is complete; the remaining task belongs to a partially documented gallery, not a failed 100% route.

Read the failure signal before changing the plan

The copied yen number gives the wrong item: the code came from another save or a previous reset. Probe the price pool again and record the current index result.

A form looks finished but no achievement appears: open its detail panel. The portrait can change before the last star; the achievement requires the actual Final Form.

An ending alert repeats forever: the item family may be right while its danger ceiling is wrong. Switch to another form capable of reaching the named danger band, rebuild the required stage, and return to Mall Entrance.

Discovery stalls below 300: another ascension road is still locked or an entire price pool has not been sampled. Count ascensions, then test categories instead of repeating a profitable known code.

The run suddenly starts over: check whether One Hundred Thousand or the 1,000,000-yen Monstrosity threshold was just crossed. Those are cleanup actions, not a reason to repeat unfinished routes on the erased index.
