Tukoni: Forest Keepers Walkthrough: All Four Chapters and Puzzle Routes

The Traveller among the Forest Keepers in Tukoni: Forest Keepers

Build note: this route was checked on August 15, 2026, two days before the full PC release shown on Steam. The four chapter routes come from a pre-release walkthrough build, so use the sequence as a dependency map rather than assuming every object will occupy the same pixel in the launch client. If a picture, shelf, or packing layout changes, the Notebook and the character’s latest pictogram are the safer authority.

Tukoni: Forest Keepers rarely blocks the road with a conventional lock. Progress usually depends on a small social exchange: one keeper needs an item held by another, and the object that closes that favor reveals the next clue. The walkthrough below preserves those chains. It also calls out the moments where a static screenshot is less useful than understanding what the puzzle is asking you to compare.

Read this route against the build in front of you

Open the Notebook whenever a keeper’s request or an environmental drawing appears. It is not merely a collectible screen: it stores the pictorial requirements that govern tea recipes and several locks. A useful rule is to separate objects from clues. Pick up portable objects during the first sweep of a scene, but inspect paintings, boards, recipes, and gestures even when they do not enter the inventory.

There are also two kinds of ordering puzzle. Packing and jigsaw screens ask you to fit pieces by shape; cabinets and combination locks ask you to transfer information from another scene. If you are moving every piece at random, stop and identify which kind you are looking at. The correct action may be to leave the interface, find the missing drawing, and return.

This is a full-game route, not the separate Sycamore demo route. The demo has its own Steam AppID and its own achievement list. Do not use a demo achievement checklist to decide whether a chapter in this campaign is complete.

Chapter 1: finish both hills before packing

The opening area is one large preparation task split across the hut and two hills. Your three real exit requirements are the filled Thermos, the Wooden Comb, and the completed packing puzzle. Sweep west and east before trying to finish either branch; each side supplies an item required on the other.

Make one collection loop around the hut

  1. Inside the hut, open the Notebook, then take the Herb and Teabag. Inspect the chest behind the Traveller. It needs both a replacement button and a pictogram combination, so it cannot be finished yet.
  2. Walk west. Note the Dew on a leaf, speak to the keeper behind the hazelnut bush, and remember the music request. Take the Red Paint with Brush beside the rising path.
  3. Continue uphill. Inspect the unfinished track on the way and the blurred canvas at the top; both are future interactions. At the far western table, collect the Coloring Pencils.
  4. Return past the hut and go east. The Kettle is near the hut. Beyond the blueberry bush, take both the Music Player and the chest’s Missing Button from the sitting area.
  5. At the grapevines, give the paint and brush to the waiting keeper. The return item is a Red Maple Leaf. Go up the nearby slope for the Thermos.
  6. Carry the Music Player back to the hazelnut-bush keeper. This closes the music request and yields a Hazelnut Leaf.

If either keeper still shows the original request, check that you dragged the correct inventory object onto the character rather than simply speaking again. The reward leaf is the confirmation that the exchange registered.

Fill the Thermos in dependency order

Use the Kettle on the hanging Dew, then put the water-filled Kettle on the stove by the hut. In inventory, join the Herb and Teabag before adding that prepared bundle to the Kettle. Combine the Hazelnut Leaf with the Thermos, then use that Thermos assembly on the brewed Kettle. The Thermos should now satisfy one of the Notebook’s three departure pictures.

The order matters because the game treats the loose parts as incomplete objects. If the stove will not advance, inspect the inventory: a bare Herb, a separate Teabag, or a Thermos without its leaf means one combination step was skipped.

Turn the hill drawing into the chest code

Attach the Missing Button to the chest now, but leave the symbol row alone until the canvas clue is ready. On the western rise, apply the Coloring Pencils to the half-drawn track. Follow the completed route, interact with the letter, and send it to Maple Tukoni. At the summit, place the Red Maple Leaf on the canvas.

The canvas pieces form one continuous hill. Sort them by the contour and the colored bands rather than treating the little foreground objects as seven unrelated icons. In the reviewed pre-release build, reading the finished strip from left to right produced this chest sequence:

hanging leaf or teabag pictogram → basket → acorn-shaped pouch → bush → broad mushroom cap → mushroom cluster → bare branch.

Return to the hut and reproduce that sequence on the chest. The Wooden Comb is inside. If the launch build redraws one icon, do not guess from the words above: match the chest buttons to the left-to-right strip visible on your own completed canvas. The important invariant is the hill order, not an English label for a wordless symbol.

Pack large silhouettes before filling gaps

Once the Notebook shows the Thermos and Wooden Comb requirements as resolved, go back to the eastern sitting area and interact with the picnic basket. This opens the backpack grid. Start with the most constrained pieces: the long log fits along the lower-left area, the broad hand-or-comb shape belongs around the center-right, and the tall green boot-like piece runs down the right edge in the reviewed layout. Fit the smaller round and narrow items into the remaining holes only after those three anchors stop overlapping.

A piece that is merely inside the bag is not necessarily valid; it must sit within the boundary without covering another silhouette. The success signal is the packing completion animation, followed by a portal near the grapevines. If no portal appears, reopen the pack and look for a subtle overlap at the edges of the largest shapes.

Chapter 2: close the village’s exchange loops

Tukoni Village has three parallel jobs: collect four teapots, repair and sort the household bedding, and gather the visual information needed inside the Teapot House. Do not run directly to the bell after finding the pots. Completing the small house first avoids an unnecessary trip back across the village.

Village progress is a set of trades: food frees a tool, the tool frees a teapot, and four teapots open the next interior. Image: Dream Operator.

Record the clues before trading

Walk right from the portal and speak to the yellow Autumn Tukoni below the tree clock. After the Mushroom O’Clock scene, inspect the nearby numbered bulletin board. Its placement map will later tell you which bedding pair belongs on each cabinet shelf.

Enter the small house farther right. Take the Twine, inspect the family drawing for pillow-and-blanket color pairs, speak to the keepers holding the torn pillow, and collect the Paper near the cabinet. Outside and upstairs, note the long Stick being used by the workers and the separate keeper trying to reach a teapot. You are identifying future trades; neither item can be taken by force.

Find the four teapots without breaking the chain

  1. Along the lower path, pick up the Yellow Teapot and the loose Teapot Lid. Ring the bell at the Teapot House to reveal the four-pot request, then hang the yellow pot.
  2. Continue right for the Wooden Teapot. Combine it with the lid before hanging it. An incomplete pot will not count on the rope.
  3. At the picnic table farther right, take the Needle from the haystack. Give the Paper to the food-preparing pair and receive a Sandwich.
  4. Complete the nearby backpack-sorting interaction. The two keepers leave a Lantern; also inspect their wall drawing because it supplies the other half of the bedding clue.
  5. Give the Lantern to the keeper on the swing above the route. The trade supplies the Green Teapot, which can be hung immediately.
  6. Take the Sandwich to the upstairs workers near the small house. When they pause, collect their Stick. Give that Stick to the basket-swinging keeper, who knocks down the White Teapot.

You now have four hanging pots: yellow, wooden-with-lid, green, and white. If the bell does not admit you later, count the occupied ropes and inspect the wooden pot. Finding the lid and hanging the body as separate inventory steps does not create a finished teapot.

Repair the pillow, then solve the shelf map

Combine the Needle and Twine into a sewing tool, return to the small house, and use it on the torn pillow. The cabinet then presents pillows and blankets that must be paired and assigned to numbered positions. Read the two family drawings for the pairings, and the opening bulletin board for the numbering scheme.

For the pre-release arrangement, the six positions resolve as follows:

  • 1: blue and yellow bedding
  • 2: orange bedding with an apple motif
  • 3: red and green leaf-pattern bedding
  • 4: turquoise and orange floral bedding
  • 5: the yellow daisy pattern
  • 6: the large orange berry-pattern set

If your art labels differ, keep the logic: first join each pillow to the blanket shown with it, then transfer the pictured character’s position through the numbered board. The small house cutscene is the confirmation that the household task is closed.

Open the Tea Tukoni cabinet with 3-6-3

Hang the final two pots, ring the Teapot House bell, and go inside. Tea Tukoni directs your attention to a cabinet and a room full of movable decorations. Rotate or shift the objects and open the lower curtains so hidden motifs are included in the total. Count by symbol, not by container:

3 clovers · 6 blueberries · 3 sunflowers.

Enter 3-6-3 at the locked cabinet. A wrong total usually means the closed curtain was never opened or an object was counted before its concealed face was rotated into view.

For the tea scene, open the lower drawer, put the Stove on it, set the Teapot on the Stove, pour water from the Jug, and then add the herbs pictured in your current Notebook. This guide deliberately does not replace that recipe with herb names from the separate demo: the full campaign screen provides its own visual requirement. The tea cutscene confirms the recipe.

Before leaving, descend into the basement for the Pink Orb and the additional Tea Recipe. Exit the house and follow the route right to Autumn Tukoni and the next portal.

Chapter 3: make the wind unlock three errands at once

The third location revolves around three missing Storybook Pages, but the critical switch is the Wind Tukoni. Attaching one Rope Bell changes several unreachable objects at once: an apple, a tea herb, and the toy needed for another apple all fall. Trigger the wind before repeatedly checking the trees.

Meet everyone and build the slipper trade

At the entrance, notice the Wooden Toy Horse above the path and pick up the Blueberry herb. Speak to the Badger, whose book is missing three pages. Continuing right, take the loose Stick, inspect the fruit-button Mailbox, and speak to the Groundhog Mother at the seesaw. She keeps one page until the other groundhogs return.

Farther along, note the unreachable Sea Buckthorn and the groundhog holding an apple in exchange for the toy horse. Near the Dormouse, pick up the green Leaf. A second yellow leaf is available near the river, and Rosehip lies beyond the crossing. Keep those finds, but do not assume every similarly colored leaf serves the same recipe or craft.

Speak to the Hedgehog outside the house; slippers are required before entry. Continue beyond the house, collect the Vine, and combine it with the green Leaf to make two Pouches. The nearby Paper Boat is optional for progress and can be used at the river as a cozy interaction. Give the Pouches to the Dormouse, take the returned Slippers, and deliver those to the Hedgehog.

Set up all three apple sources

Inside the Hedgehog’s home, collect the Tea Recipes, study the fruit paintings that encode the Mailbox, and speak to the indoor groundhog about a Present. The Hedgehog supplies a Basket and asks for three apples. Take the Rope Bell from the right side of the interior before leaving.

Fasten the Rope Bell beside the Hedgehog’s door to its chime. When the Wind Tukoni passes through, make a complete sweep of the area. Collect:

  • the newly fallen Apple from the tree on the right;
  • the released Sea Buckthorn herb;
  • the Wooden Toy Horse near the far-left entrance.

The toy goes to the outdoor groundhog near the Dormouse, who gives up the second Apple. For the third, return to the Mailbox. The fruit paintings establish this press order in the reviewed build:

raspberry at lower right → pear at lower left → plum at upper left → apple at upper right.

Take the Present from the open box and deliver it to the groundhog inside the Hedgehog’s house. The groundhog leaves for the seesaw; collect the Apple left behind. Put all three apples into the Basket before handing it to the Hedgehog. Three loose apples do not satisfy a request for a filled basket.

Collect the three pages from three different success states

Hedgehog’s page: follow the Hedgehog to the chopping board after delivering the apple basket. The organization puzzle is a silhouette-and-boundary task. Establish the largest curved pieces first, keep every edge inside the board, then use small fruit pieces to close the gaps. Completion awards one Storybook Page and the Dried Apples tea herb.

Dormouse’s page: the house renovation should be finished by now. The Dormouse requests a Mallet and Scissors. The Mallet is near the seesaw; the Scissors are near the Badger’s hut. Deliver both, enter the house puzzle, and rotate its circular sections until lines and colored forms pass cleanly across every ring. A continuous picture—not merely similarly colored neighboring wedges—is the check. This supplies the second page and another tea herb.

Groundhog Mother’s page: the toy exchange and indoor Present delivery send the stray groundhogs back to the seesaw. Speak to the mother after the family is visibly assembled. If she keeps the page, one child is still at an earlier request; follow the missing character back to either the toy or Present branch.

Restore the Badger’s book and leave by the fence

Combine the three pages in inventory, then give the restored set to the Badger. The next screen contains three jigsaws. Build a frame from pieces with obvious outside edges, group the interiors by character colors and large background shapes, and check that painted lines continue across seams. The game advances after each complete picture; if it stays on the same one, at least one visually plausible interior piece is in the wrong slot.

After all three pictures resolve, walk right. A Bison now appears near the exit area. Pick up the Pine Needles tea herb on the ground, then interact with the fence at the far right to finish the chapter.

Chapter 4: assemble the kitchen before touching the recipe

She-Bear’s request is a five-part equipment check: Grinder, Strainer, Mortar, Dough Bowl, and Baking Ingredients. Several pieces are incomplete when found, so use the inventory-combine step before returning to the picnic table. The chapter then converts those five objects into a linear baking process and one final tea ritual.

The last chapter shifts from favors to a workstation sequence: collect, assemble, mill, sift, mix, shape, and bake. Image: Dream Operator.

Turn partial tools into four usable stations

  1. Speak to the Maybug in the tree and note the requested Yo-Yo; the object on offer is a Paddle Toy. Speak to She-Bear by the apple basket to register the five kitchen requirements.
  2. Take the handle-less Grinder from the bench beyond She-Bear, then enter the hut.
  3. Inside, note the unreachable Strainer on the top shelf. Take the Cookie Jar from the table and the Wooden Handle from the apple basket. Combine the handle with the Grinder.
  4. Collect the Tea Recipe from the stool and the Licorice Root herb from its basket. Take the Mortar Bowl from the chopping board and inspect the nearby locked chest.
  5. Go under the table for the Yo-Yo and the Cooking Book. Use the interior ladder to reach the roof, where the Dough Bowl can be collected. The telescope is optional at this stage but becomes mandatory later.
  6. Trade the Yo-Yo to Maybug for the Paddle Toy. Bring it inside and use it to knock the Strainer down from the high shelf.
  7. Outside on the route to the right, collect the Bat and combine it with the Mortar Bowl. The completed Mortar, handled Grinder, Strainer, and Dough Bowl are now ready.

If She-Bear still displays a tool instead of accepting it, inspect that tool in inventory. The Grinder without its wooden handle and the Mortar Bowl without its bat are components, not two of the five finished requirements.

Open the ingredient chest and read objects from two sides

At the right-hand bookshelf, the curtain remains shut until the Cooking Book is placed in the vacant position indicated by She-Bear’s picture. Once open, inspect all three books. The Key is inside the book on the middle shelf. Use it on the locked chest in the kitchen.

The cabinet inside is not a memory test about ingredient names. The paper on the left shows paired views of three target objects: a beehive with a particular distribution of bees, a pitcher whose two sides carry the sun and star marks, and a bear holding the pictured red and orange fruit. Use the wooden control beside each shelf to rotate candidates, and compare both faces to the clue. Choose one matching object from each row. Selecting a pitcher because its front shows only the sun, for example, is premature until its reverse also matches the star drawing.

This two-view method is safer than a fixed left-to-right slot number if the launch build changes the row order. The interface closes or acknowledges the set when all three identities match. Take the Baking Ingredients, return outside with all five completed groups, speak to She-Bear, and then interact with the picnic table to lay out the workstation.

Process the pie one station at a time

At the baking table, follow the transformation rather than dragging every object into the center bowl:

  1. Move the Wheat into the Mortar at the left and operate its bat until the grain becomes a coarse powder.
  2. Open the Grinder drawer, transfer that powder into it, close the drawer, and turn the wooden handle. Wait for the processed flour drawer to emerge.
  3. Set the Strainer over the center bowl. Put the flour into the Strainer and work it until the sifted material falls into the bowl.
  4. Add the three selected cabinet ingredients from the upper part of the screen. Continue the mixing interaction until the contents visibly become dough.
  5. Place the Dough Bowl over the prepared dough to shape it. If the bowl refuses the input, one earlier station has not reached its finished visual state.

The paper at the lower-left of the workstation repeats the process pictorially. Use it to locate the missing transformation: grain in the Mortar, powder in the Grinder, flour through the Strainer, ingredients in the bowl, then shaping. She-Bear’s next gesture directs the formed pie to the oven inside the hut.

Put the pie dough into the oven and interact with the baked pie to open the decoration grid. Treat the pieces as a single illustration. The large bridge or arch occupies the upper area, the boat-like form sits toward the bottom, the sun belongs in the lower-left portion, and the winged or bird-like piece belongs toward the upper-right in the reviewed layout. Fit the central motifs last, using the printed grid and the outer curve of the pie to reject rotations that merely look close. The completed decoration advances the party preparation.

Collect the yellow star and brew Your Own Blend

Return to the roof and use the telescope. After its scene, apply the Cookie Jar you carried from the kitchen to the Yellow Star. Open the Tea Screen; a special Stove is now available, and the Notebook shows the recipe titled Your Own Blend. This final recipe accepts three ingredients of your choice, so it does not require recreating an earlier character’s preferred combination.

Complete the brew, close the tea interface, and leave She-Bear’s hut. The exterior transition triggers the final cutscene. If it does not, verify that the star entered the Cookie Jar, that three ingredients were actually committed on the special Stove, and that the brewing animation finished before exiting.

When progress stops, identify the missing dependency

The Chapter 1 portal does not appear.
Check for all three departure states: a filled Thermos, the Wooden Comb from the repaired chest, and a backpack layout accepted without overlap. The picnic basket is east of the hut; the portal appears near the grapevines only after packing succeeds.
The Teapot House remains closed.
Four complete pots must hang outside. The wooden pot needs its loose lid. The green pot comes from the Lantern trade, while the white pot requires the Sandwich-to-workers step before the Stick can be borrowed.
The Village cabinet rejects the code.
Count motifs after moving every object and opening the lower curtains. The reviewed solution is 3 clovers, 6 blueberries, and 3 sunflowers, in that order.
An apple or the toy horse is still unreachable.
Take the Rope Bell from inside the Hedgehog’s house and attach it to the wind chime outside. One wind event drops all three tree-bound objects, so search the whole route afterward.
The Groundhog Mother will not hand over her page.
Look at the seesaw group. The outdoor child needs the Wooden Toy Horse; the child inside the Hedgehog’s house needs the Present from the Mailbox. Both exchanges must end with the children leaving for the seesaw.
She-Bear will not start baking.
Confirm five finished categories, not five loose components: handled Grinder, Strainer, Mortar with bat, Dough Bowl, and the three-object Baking Ingredients set from the locked cabinet.

When a static symbol differs from this pre-release route, reopen the Notebook and revisit the scene that produced the clue. A character’s current gesture, a completed landscape strip, or a paired object drawing tells you what relationship the puzzle expects; copying an old screen position does not.
