Small omissions can delay the Community Center route for an entire year. One rainy fish, one seasonal crop, or one quality stack can sit unchecked until its next window. Turn the live bundle scrolls into a season ledger before deciding what to sell, and delay the permanent Joja membership choice until the save’s real bottleneck is visible.

As of August 15, 2026, these instructions follow the released 1.6 branch. Standard and remixed bundles differ, and a new save can enable a Year One completable option in Advanced Options. Check the bundle scrolls in the current save before following any standard-bundle checklist.
Trigger the Center before diagnosing a missing quest
From Spring 5 onward, walk from the Bus Stop into Pelican Town between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on a day without rain. Lewis’ cutscene will not trigger if the farmer enters from another direction, arrives outside that window, or chooses a rainy day. Enter the unlocked building, inspect the Golden Scroll, then read the Wizard’s letter and complete that visit before expecting readable bundle text.
In multiplayer, the host owns the opening cutscene. Every player can contribute later, but a farmhand cannot repair a missing host trigger by repeating the walk.
Compare route consequences before choosing
| Question | Community Center | Joja development |
|---|---|---|
| What drives progress? | Seasonal crops, forage, fish, animal goods, artisan items, mining drops, and money bundles. | Gold purchases after a 5,000g membership. |
| What is the main planning risk? | Missing a season, weather window, quality stack, or slow animal/artisan chain. | Spending working capital before the farm’s income engine is stable. |
| What does partial work preserve? | Completed bundles and complete room repairs remain useful. | A room fully repaired before joining Joja remains complete; partial rooms give no project discount. |
| What is exclusive? | Individual bundle rewards and the Bulletin Board friendship effect. | The purchasable Auto-Petter after the Joja ceremony and a route that ignores seasonal item gates. |
Buying the membership permanently converts the Center into a Joja Warehouse. Make a manual save backup outside the game if the platform allows it, then inspect every nearly finished room. Completing an easy room before joining can preserve its infrastructure project; donating half a room does not reduce the Joja price.
Plan rooms by the town service they restore
Each room restores a town service that changes the farm’s route:
- Crafts Room: repairs the bridge to the Quarry. It begins with seasonal forage and later asks the farmer to notice every season.
- Pantry: restores the Greenhouse. This is the crop, quality-crop, animal, and artisan chain, so it usually determines whether a first-year finish is realistic.
- Fish Tank: removes the Glittering Boulder and enables panning. Its fish are gated by location, time, season, and weather; treat these as appointments.
- Boiler Room: repairs the minecarts. Ore, bars, geodes, and monster drops make it a clean early target for a mining-focused save.
- Vault: repairs the bus after four gold bundles totaling 42,500g. This opens Calico Desert and provides the Sandfish route needed by the standard Specialty Fish bundle.
- Bulletin Board: asks for a broad set of cooking, forage, animal, crop, and specialist items. Completion gives a friendship boost with non-datable villagers.
Pick one current infrastructure goal and one seasonal insurance goal. For example, push Boiler Room materials for minecart travel while storing every time-sensitive Fish Tank catch. Trying to finish all six rooms in parallel makes every inventory decision feel urgent.
Build a ledger that survives Normal and Remixed bundles
Create one chest row per season and one row for non-seasonal chains. For every empty live slot, record four fields: item, earliest reliable source, last safe date, and setup dependency. “Duck Feather” is not an actionable note; “upgrade coop, buy duck, allow growth and friendship time” is. “Pufferfish” is incomplete; location, season, weather, and time make it an appointment.
Use the Community Center button in the inventory to recheck bundles away from the building. The panel is a reference, not a donation interface, so carry confirmed items to the Center before selling duplicates. When a bundle shows more possible items than open slots, only the number of slots must be filled.
For standard bundles, the first seasonal pass should protect:
- the four Spring crops and four Spring forage items;
- five gold Parsnips if the save will use Parsnip as one of the three Quality Crops stacks;
- rain-only and narrow-time fish as soon as their conditions occur;
- one example of every new animal or artisan product until its scroll is checked;
- Red Cabbage Seed recovery if attempting a Year One finish without the guarantee option.
The Year One completable Advanced Option guarantees that the Traveling Cart will sell Red Cabbage Seed during Year One. It does not buy the seed, grow the crop, or protect the player from missing the cart. Check Fridays and Sundays, keep the purchase money ready, and plant with enough Summer days remaining.
Schedule fish by season, weather, and time
Crop mistakes are visible every morning; fish mistakes hide until the season is almost over. At the start of each season, filter the empty Fish Tank slots by weather first. A rain-only fish receives the first suitable day. Then schedule narrow time windows, then all-day catches. Use location last to combine appointments into one route.
The standard Fish Tank also creates dependencies. Sandfish requires Desert access unless the Traveling Cart supplies it, so the Vault may need to finish first. Woodskip normally requires Secret Woods access, while Crab Pot creatures can sometimes be satisfied through beach forage or monster drops. Confirm the live slot rather than assuming every fish must be caught with a rod.
If the minigame, not the calendar, is blocking progress, switch to the fishing control and catch-planning guide. More casts do not solve an undersized bar, a poor tackle choice, or the wrong weather.
Use the Traveling Cart as targeted insurance
The cart appears in Cindersap Forest on Fridays and Sundays. Open the bundle panel before buying. A high price can still be efficient when it replaces a fruit tree that will miss its season, an animal building chain, or a rare weather window. It is wasteful when the item is already obtainable tomorrow.
Do not assume the cart can repair every remixed bundle. Quality-star requirements, several ores and minerals, and certain specialist items are not part of its recovery pool. If the ledger says “cart only,” verify that assumption against the current listing and source route.
Switch to Joja only after pricing the whole pivot
The Joja route costs 5,000g for membership and 135,000g for all five developments: 15,000g Minecarts, 20,000g panning access, 25,000g Quarry bridge, 35,000g Greenhouse, and 40,000g bus repair. After buying a development, wait until the next day before purchasing another. These are shipped 1.6 values; read the live form before committing in a later build.
A sensible pivot procedure is:
- Finish any room that can be completed immediately and collect its bundle rewards.
- Compare the remaining seasonal dependencies with the farm’s reliable daily income.
- Reserve money for seeds, animals, tool work, and food before calling the balance “available.”
- Buy membership only when the permanent conversion is intentional.
- Purchase the project that removes the current bottleneck, not simply the cheapest one.
A crop-heavy farm often values the Greenhouse; a mining route may want minecarts; a Skull Cavern plan needs the bus. Joja is faster only when the income engine can fund the correct project without stalling everything that generates that income.
Verify the finish before waiting for the next quest
After the final Community Center bundle, retrieve any unclaimed rewards from the Junimo reward bag. The reopening ceremony waits for a sunny, non-festival entry into town. On the Joja route, sleep after the final project and complete the ceremony sequence. Willy’s invitation to inspect the boat follows route completion; it is the bridge into the Ginger Island progression guide.
If the Center is still locked, repair the opening cutscene trigger. If one room remains, read its live scroll and convert every slot into source, condition, and deadline. If the farm is still in its first month, the first Spring route shows where those checks fit without turning the save into a bundle spreadsheet.
Check the live bundle rules after an update
ConcernedApe develops and publishes Stardew Valley, Steam AppID 413150. The official Steam page provides the current release record. Use the official 1.6 changelog to confirm remixed-bundle and current-system behavior, then check the live scrolls for the exact requirements in this save.
