Patch boundary: this endgame route is based on official 1.4.10 notes through hotfix 1.4.10.5 on August 12, 2026. It does not use the launch loop in which Landsraad progress relied on resource turn-ins, Deep Desert control points existed, and all meaningful desert farming was treated as mandatory PvP. Those systems have been replaced or removed.
Reach the current endgame through a gate, not a gear score
The first actionable gate is The Art of Making Friends Journey. Finish it to unlock the redesigned Landsraad. Also resolve the current faction alignment step: after a transfer, you must join or create a guild aligned with Atreides or Harkonnen before Landsraad participation works normally.
Before accepting repeatable missions, establish this minimum operating state:
- a replaceable Ornithopter or a clear NPC travel route to the Overland Map;
- Duraluminum-tier survival gear that you can repair without buying every component;
- radiation mitigation, healing, shield power, Cutteray, and Personal Light;
- bank space for mission rewards and a plan for vehicle recovery;
- one combat loadout and one gathering/crafting objective you can complete reliably.
If a mission sends you into a Tier 6 site before these are reproducible, abandon the idea that accepting it proves readiness. Build the missing material or survival loop first.
Use Landsraad missions as the central progression board
The current Landsraad is mission-based. Select a minor house on the board, inspect its available tasks, then accept a mission on that house’s behalf. Activities can involve dungeons, time trials, exploration, combat, crafting, gathering, or sabotage. Completion awards a combination of Solari, character experience, contribution, faction standing, House Scrip, and Specialization XP.
The board solves three decisions at once:
- Which reward do you need? Choose a house and mission whose Scrip or item path advances the build.
- Which Specialization are you training? Prefer missions aligned with the track you intend to level rather than scattering limited bonus progress.
- Which activity can your current gear complete? A reliable gathering or exploration mission may outperform repeatedly failing a combat station.
Specialization XP’s contract bonus is limited to five rewards per day. Plan those bonuses around the target track; do not spend them accidentally on whatever task happens to be closest. Ordinary mission rewards and the live board remain the authority if an event temporarily changes the payout.
Choose one Specialization bottleneck first
| Track | Choose it when | Success signal |
|---|---|---|
| Crafting | Augments, recycling, and gear production limit the account | The next Augment or production trait changes a recipe you actually use |
| Gathering | Raw yield or expedition efficiency limits Plastanium | Fewer trips produce the same planned batch |
| Exploration | Traversal and discovery slow current Overland objectives | Travel or detection improves the active mission route |
| Combat | Boss phases and scaled station rooms are the failure point | The same encounter becomes consistent, not merely faster once |
| Sabotage | Landsraad objectives and tactical disruption are the account’s focus | The chosen mission type becomes repeatable with less exposure |
A broad first rank in all five may feel flexible but delays the trait that unlocks the next concrete system. Follow the blocked action: if no Augment can be made, Crafting matters; if Titanium supply is the issue, gathering efficiency matters; if the boss kills the run, damage or survival matters.
Pick PvE or PvP before entering the Deep Desert
The Deep Desert now offers separate PvE and PvP instances. Every endgame system can be played in PvE. Official current guidance gives the PvP instance 2.5 times the resource yield, so the choice is a risk multiplier, not an access requirement.
- Start in PvE to learn the week’s topology, station entrances, shipwreck layout, and extraction timing.
- Move to PvP only when the multiplied cargo is worth player-combat risk and the group can protect the vehicle.
- Re-survey after the Coriolis change. Old coordinates and community maps can point at terrain that no longer exists in the current layout.
Control points were removed in Chapter 3 and have not been restored in the current notes used here. Any route built around capturing them is obsolete. The live map and Landsraad board define the objective.
Turn Plastanium into a complete Tier 6 loop
Titanium Ore and Stravidium sources in the Deep Desert feed Plastanium production. Process Stravidium Mass into Fiber at the Chemical Refinery, then combine the appropriate inputs with water at the refinery shown by the current recipe. The resource ladder covers the extraction dependencies; the endgame decision begins after you can reproduce them.
Do not spend the first batch across several incomplete sets. Build one repairable, role-specific loadout and keep enough ingots and rare components to replace its most failure-prone part. A unique schematic without its matching fabricator, permit, dust, or component route is a future option, not present power.
Use repeatable Testing Stations to grade the build
Chapter 3 added repeatable Overland Testing Stations with scalable difficulty and unique bosses. They support both solo attempts and coordinated groups. Higher grades offer better Tier 6 blueprints and rewards, but the correct grade is the highest one you can clear without consuming more rare materials than it returns.
Before increasing difficulty, audit the previous run:
- Did shield damage or health loss end the run?
- Did ammunition, healing, power, or durability run out first?
- Did a boss mechanic fail because the team did not identify its signal?
- Did a full inventory lose the mission schematic or objective pickup?
- Could the vehicle and cargo still be extracted afterward?
Patch 1.4.10 specifically fixed mission items duplicating on reconnect and a Ruins of Tsimpo schematic being blocked by full inventory. The lesson remains current: enter with free slots and verify the reward appears before leaving the instance.
Apply Augments only to a loadout with a job
Augment schematics drop from the newer Overland dungeons. Craft them in the appropriate advanced specialty fabricator after unlocking the required Crafting Specialization traits, then apply them to unique Plastanium gear at the Augment Station. Quality runs from Grade 0 to Grade 5, and the number of applications depends on the account’s Augment limit.
Choose an Augment to repair an observed weakness. A generic stat increase on an unused weapon is less valuable than durability, output, or utility on the item that controls the current mission. Recycled Augments now return part of their crafting cost, but recovery is not free; test the build at a manageable station grade before committing the rarest version.
Route the 1.4 and 1.4.10 locations deliberately
Update 1.4 added Wind Pass and the Old Quarry Testing Station. Wind Pass supports Water Shipper-themed Landsraad missions; the Old Quarry is a scalable station with Dr. Jalanta. Patch 1.4.10 added five more Landsraad missions across Hagga Basin and Smuggler’s Run and continued fixing mission tracking, Fremen-relic targeting, and reward behavior.
Accept these as board activities, not permanent “best farms.” The useful route is the mission whose reward, track, and difficulty match today’s bottleneck. If the board changes after a reset or event, re-select instead of traveling to an old marker out of habit.
Protect the return, not just the outbound vehicle
Use the Vehicle Backup Tool and current recovery rules as insurance, not as free teleportation. Repair before departure, bank unneeded cargo, and check the tool after a destruction or transfer. The current system can recover destroyed vehicles within its allowed window for a Solari cost and durability penalty; cargo and mission state still deserve an extraction plan.
In PvE Deep Desert zones, logging out now uses a shorter timer than the old five-minute wait, but do not treat logout as emergency extraction. Reach defensible ground, stop movement, confirm the timer, and watch the client complete the disconnect.
Diagnose obsolete advice before it costs a run
| Old claim | Current rule | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| Deep Desert progress requires PvP | PvE and PvP instances are selectable | Learn in PvE; take 2.5x PvP yield only by choice |
| Landsraad is a resource turn-in race | Progress comes from accepted missions | Choose the mission and minor house on the board |
| Capture Deep Desert control points | Control points were removed | Ignore old control-point routes |
| One Tier 6 set is the end | Specializations, graded stations, and Augments extend progression | Build around a repeatable activity and measured weakness |
| Any mission failure means better gear | Tracking, inventory, mechanics, and server version can also fail | Identify the first broken signal before crafting |
The late game has no single permanent finish line. A clean session ends when a chosen mission, Specialization reward, schematic, or Augment is banked and the vehicle is recoverable. That is a stronger checkpoint than staying in the desert until every slot is full.
