Steam lists 37 achievements for Absolum. The efficient route is not 37 isolated errands: it is a set of regional flags, four Azra clears, character-specific combat tests, and side quests whose dialogue advances across runs. Keep those ledgers separate so a failed boss attempt can still complete a permanent quest step.
Build four ledgers before the first cleanup run
| Ledger | Examples | When to check it |
|---|---|---|
| Route and bosses | Grandery branches, Jaroba, Yeldrim, Asterios, Azra, Absolum | Before choosing a map exit |
| Character clears | One Azra win per hero plus four move-specific tests | At the Sanctuary hero select |
| Quest state | Heart of the Mist, Vikhana’s song, Wisshelm investigations, the Slave Queens | After every return to the Sanctuary |
| Collection and one-run tests | Food, mounts, Hearthroots, summons, damage, combo, no-rest clear | When the required resource appears |
Steam hides the descriptions of several achievements until they unlock. Use the Steam overlay as the canonical count and record the visible title after each run. Community route names are useful for locating a quest, but they should not replace the current client’s objective marker.
Let the first clear open the board
The early boss achievements follow normal route progress: Gazorg, Rudolf, the Underking, and the Warlord family of encounters. Grandery has two opening bosses, so one run cannot naturally cover both branches. Use the first two serious pushes to visit both sides, unlock Water and Wind, and meet Cider’s required scenes.
Do not force every optional Grandery room before reaching the Underking. A Hearthroot discovery starts the permanent tree, and repeated upgrades eventually satisfy Fire Eternal. Missing branch bosses, the Mushtroll, Misty Grove, and the hidden study remain available on later routes.
Jaroba and Yeldrim should both be visited before attempting region cleanup. The Lost City of Y records the hidden-region discovery, while Intrepid Explorer requires the broader region set. Yeldrim’s first voyage is variable; once it has happened, use Zafari’s destination choice rather than waiting for another accident.
Rotate heroes so dialogue and Azra clears share the same runs
Four achievements require an Azra victory with a named hero:
- Warrior’s Delight — Galandra;
- Don’t Mess With The Best — Brome;
- Told You So, Brat. — Karl;
- Die like the rest — Cider.
Change hero after each successful or abandoned run, then exhaust new Sanctuary conversations before leaving. Several character quests depend on two heroes speaking or on a prior quest reaching its next state. A different hero is therefore progression, not just variety.
Use the first clear with each hero to learn the character-specific action required by Steam:
- Master Fencer: register six Galandra Clashes in one level. Practice on the Sanctuary dummy, then choose a stage with repeated readable melee attacks.
- Archmage: cast ten Brome Arcanas in one level. Enter with a mana plan and avoid ending the room before the counter is complete.
- Fired Up: as Karl, throw three enemies into one hole in the same event. Group light enemies at a pit before taking the grab.
- Flying High: keep Cider airborne for fifteen seconds. The training dummy removes combat pressure while learning the hook and air loop.
The August patch adds dash cancels and adjusts several hero moves. Rehearse the current version instead of importing old timings. It also allows two players in Raken’s tutorial, which helps a co-op pair test spacing without consuming a run.
Finish the neutral combat tests while the right tool is visible
Seismic Fist asks for a 200-damage single hit, not total combo damage. Save a high-value first-hit or patience trinket for a clean Punish and avoid multi-hit effects that make the total look impressive while no individual strike crosses the requirement.
Never-ending Memories requires the “Out of this world!!!” combo rank. Vary attacks to avoid Repetitive, use walls and launches to keep contact, and select a room with enough durable enemies. Community counters can be useful practice targets, but the rank text is the reliable confirmation.
Leaders Are Made needs four companions and/or summons at once. Combine paid followers with Necromancy rather than waiting for four identical summons. The current patch respawns companions that fall into pits at the player’s location, making environmental rooms less likely to break the attempt.
Three Stars tracks seven food types: fish, bread, pear, stew, carrot, chicken, and cheese in the supplied current reference. Mark each consumed type; seeing it or carrying it is not the same as tasting it. Breakable containers and region changes make a multi-run checklist safer than farming one map.
Animal lover requires petting the four mount types: boar, dragon, flying skull, and the plant-like Jaroba mount. Stand at the mount and hold the mount interaction rather than immediately riding. Yeldrim supplies the flying skull; Jaroba is the important check for the plant mount.
Ritual of Friendship only needs a session with another player, online or local. Full cross-platform multiplayer launched on May 12, 2026, but platform account and matchmaking behavior can change; use the current Online shrine cue and confirm the achievement before ending the session.
Heart of the Mist is the fork for several later objectives
In the Grandery forest line, hire the goblin connected to the mist quest and reach the route with the direction markers. Strike the sign twice, follow its new direction toward the skull-shaped destination, and keep the companion alive until the objective resolves. A wrong route can still reach the Underking, but it will not complete the heart objective.
After that quest and the required Sanctuary conversations, Karl can begin A Knight’s Tale for Galandra. Follow the new mist marker, enter the pit, and defeat the mirror encounter. The next stage points to a locked Yeldrim door. Bring a Skeleton Key; once the key has been discovered, the Sanctuary shop may offer another for crystals, avoiding a run built around a random vendor.
The supplied Steam guide for this quest is compatibility-flagged despite exposing readable steps. It was used only to cross-check the pit, sign, and locked-door sequence. Follow the current map marker when its room differs.
Vikhana’s song must be carried across regions
Unbroken Song starts after Vikhana is rescued in Jaroba and her tool objective advances. Complete the tool hand-in, then use the upper Grandery tavern route to obtain the lyre. Return it to Vikhana at the Sanctuary before building the Yeldrim leg.
The later step calls for Necromancy and an escort in Yeldrim. Enter with that family available, inspect the early tomb route, break the correct coffin in the revealed passage, and protect the bard until the next resting area. If Vikhana repeats an older tool line, leave and return after confirming the item was collected; do not assume the lyric step is active merely because the lyre route is open.
Silent Song and Nursery Rimes appear as hidden Steam rows. Because their official Steam descriptions are concealed and the supplied sources do not independently establish every trigger, keep them in the Vikhana and character-dialogue ledger. Confirm their current objective text in the quest map rather than assigning a guessed one-step condition.
Jaroba’s side routes take more than one visit
Leap of Faith uses the lower Jaroba path and the hidden sanctuary. Meet the NPC, obtain the linked prison item on another route, return on a later run, and then clear the marked Azra patrol before the sanctuary when that stage appears. The chain advances between visits; repeating the patrol early does not skip the hand-ins.
The Slave Queens also evolve between runs. Defeat Ambys, return for Tidae and the later challenge, then clear the combined encounter. A Ritual-free duel supports Fair and Square; treat the on-screen no-Ritual condition as the authority. For Enemy Sisters, carry the resulting ally into the Warlord fight and keep Ambys alive through the victory. Winning after she falls is story progress, not the survival achievement.
Under new Management is tied to Zafari’s optional bandit content rather than the mandatory ship ride. When the locked treasure-room event appears, interact with the objective instead of passing it as normal loot. Event substitution means it may not be available on every visit.
Wisshelm’s investigations end at optional bosses
Great Old One points to the Interloper. Choose Yeldrim, use thumbs down then thumbs up at the mansion gate, and reach the later statue. Break the object beside it, move behind the statue, climb the revealed route, and complete the encounter. This also unlocks Chaos. The August patch repaired Interloper phase two under enemy-life modifiers, but the fight still has two stages.
Naturalist begins through Karl, Brome, and Wisshelm dialogue. Inspect the marked Grandery office, then bring a living Dracoraptor to the locked gate. Dismount before battles end so the mount is not consumed by the room transition. Alberich is the boss at the end of that investigation; current meteors add pushback after the 1.1 changes.
The Fallen Guardian route begins from Jaroba’s first Hearthroot through a hidden right-side path and continues across the swamp. A supplied Steam guide connects it to one Wisshelm objective but carries the same compatibility warning, so use the quest marker and current boss name to confirm the target.
Do not mistake Hagen for a missing Steam achievement
The Spectral Dragon area can contain a skeletal dragon backdrop. After the battle and reward, use the thumbs-down emote at the center to call Hagen, the Spectral Doom. The official 1.1 notes say this region is no longer guaranteed on every Grandery beach route and now grants a large gold reward in addition to its Ritual.
Hagen is valuable optional content, but the checked 37-row Steam list does not name a Hagen achievement, and the supplied achievement reference labels it a secret without a trophy. Do not repeat runs for Hagen while searching for an unrelated hidden row. The August patch only updates its bone-attack telegraph.

Pair the no-rest run with a practiced Azra hero
The Hard Way requires defeating Azra without resting at a Hearthroot or haven. Do this after one hero’s normal Azra achievement is complete and the route no longer needs exploration. Treat every Rest or Heal prompt as disqualifying. Community reports distinguish crafting at the same camp from resting, but verify the prompt wording in the current client before committing the run.
Use health from food, shops, rewards, and build effects; route around optional attrition; and abandon the attempt as soon as a rest is accidentally accepted. Combining this with an untested character, an unknown Yeldrim route, or a quest escort adds failure conditions without reducing the required number of Azra clears.
Sleep, my Sweet Prince. belongs after the first Azra victory. Reach Azra again with an unused Mother’s Grace, survive the forced transition into Absolum, and finish the second health sequence after the apparent defeat. For the current Corrupted Biome rules, Asterios mechanisms, and Grace preparation, use the progression and true-boss route.
Use Steam’s 37 rows for the final audit
At cleanup, sort the remaining titles into these questions:
- Is a Grandery route boss or optional area still unseen?
- Has Jaroba and Yeldrim each been cleared, including their side-boss state?
- Does every hero have both the personal combat test and an Azra victory?
- Are all seven foods consumed and all four mounts petted?
- Did every Sanctuary character exhaust new dialogue after the last quest hand-in?
- Was a co-op session actually recorded?
- Did the no-rest run and the true-boss run finish, not merely reach their targets?
If the missing row has a hidden description, compare its title to the unresolved quest in the map rather than using rarity as evidence. Achievement percentages change with the player population and do not reveal the route.
Count and current-client boundary
The official Steam store and community achievement page both showed 37 achievements when captured on August 16, 2026. The route accounts for Threads of Fate 1.1, cross-platform multiplayer, and the August 7 patch. It does not promise a completion time, fixed event spawn, or permanent damage threshold beyond the achievement’s own visible requirement.
