Bye Sweet Carole Chapters 8-10 Walkthrough: VIP Pass, Dress 29, and Final Boss

Carole surrounded by purple light in Bye Sweet Carole

The last three chapters of Bye Sweet Carole are long but not directionless. Chapter 8 alternates Lana and Baesie through one workshop machine, Chapter 9 is an inventory dependency that ends with a VIP pass, and Chapter 10 is a sequence of short commitments: rooftop movement, three-floor elevator, clocktower chase, dress-shop clue, then the final battle.

Spoiler warning: this walkthrough names late-game characters, puzzle answers, and boss phases. It follows the post-Patch 6 release, which repaired a Chapter 10 business-room blocker, missing prompts, duplicate dress labels, and Mr. Kyn’s interaction with Lana’s umbrella.

Chapter 8 makes both characters solve one workshop machine

In Frank’s workshop, press the door-side switch to drop a crate. Push it onto the right pressure plate with Baesie’s head. The plate controls part of the lower sludge system, but the immediate goal is height: climb the crate as rabbit Lana and press the high switch to lower the furnace grate.

Move the crate left. Ignite Baesie at the open furnace, climb the crate, and burn through the dry roots over the vent. Then place Baesie’s head on the left pressure plate and send Lana into the cleared vent. Jump from the slide, cross the platforms, and when the pipe ahead pours sludge, switch back to Baesie and use the right pressure plate to stop it. That pause, rather than a faster jump, creates the safe lane.

Reach the upper workshop and wait for Frank to leave. Take his cabin key beside the shutter, unlock the route back to Baesie, and push the crate off the plate so the two characters can reunite below. Lana can now operate the water switch. Use it twice: the second water level touches the hanging electric cable.

Jump Baesie’s head into the charged pool, carry the electrical state left to the generator, and touch it. An air vent opens in Lana’s room. If the generator remains inert, the water must be raised again until the cable visibly contacts it; entering the pool before that change does not charge Baesie.

Read Frank’s posture before leaving cover

The cage room is not a sprint from left to right. Wait behind the first cover until Frank turns his head and weapon away, vault the cabinet, and hide behind the cages before he changes position. The first reachable switch lowers a platform. Use the crate on its left only while Frank is facing away, climb the platform, and drop on the far side.

The bucket and the next cages divide the remaining lane. Move one cover at a time and let Frank complete each look animation before committing. Being close to the exit does not shorten his detection; a final greedy vault simply resets the encounter. When he limps away, walk forward to trigger the scene that ends the chapter.

Chapter 9: build the VIP pass backward

The ball presents several people who want items Lana does not yet have. Their requests form one chain:

Goal Required item or condition Where it comes from
Enter the VIP lounge VIP pass The red-clad dancer outside, after receiving the sedative drink
Prepare that drink Punch, orange juice, lemon, sleeping pills Bartender, kitchen dispensers, middle fruit jar, Marianne
Buy punch Gambling chips Roulette player after Lana supplies luck
Change the roulette result Rabbit’s foot Briefcase opened with the key from the unconscious gentleman
Enter the kitchen safely Toy mouse distraction Washroom drain, loosened with the screwdriver

First dance with the blue gentleman so he allows Lana farther into the ballroom. Speak to the roulette player, then continue to the washroom. Take the briefcase key from the unconscious man on the way. In the last stall, listen to Marianne; she gives Lana sleeping pills and points out the mouse in the drain. Use the screwdriver on the grate. Follow the running toy back across the ballroom and pick it up after it clears the blocked lane.

Open the hanging briefcase with its key and take the rabbit’s foot. Give that to the roulette player before choosing a number; the choice itself no longer matters. Spend the resulting chips with the bartender to obtain a glass of punch. At this point, visit the upstairs guard without a pass if you are pursuing Paparazzi; the chance ends once the real pass is collected.

Mix the sedative only after the kitchen has a reset path

Outside the hall, accept the red gentleman’s dance challenge once. It is designed to fail and his complaint reveals the drink clues: juice, vitamin C, and lemon. At the kitchen door, use the toy mouse to lure Miss Fisherin away. Inside, the middle fruit jar supplies a lemon slice and the dispenser supplies orange juice.

Add orange juice to the punch, add lemon, then add the sleeping pills. The sink empties a wrong drink. Players seeking Alchemist Apprentice should intentionally make distinct wrong mixtures before the final sedative, checking for the achievement popup rather than assuming every partial glass counts.

Give the completed sedative mixture to the red gentleman. He falls during the next dance, leaving the VIP pass available. Take it to the upstairs guard. Failure to enter after this point usually means Lana picked up the drink ingredients but not the pass from the unconscious dancer.

Chapter 10: the elevator is a three-floor control puzzle

On the rooftops, jump from the opening slide to the balcony, use hiding cover against the gunman, and wait for the fans to stop before climbing the fence. The hanging platform drops under Lana; change to rabbit form and jump left immediately. Continue with wall jumps because the upper platforms also break. At the final chase, use rabbit speed, clear both crates, and enter the pipe.

After the mailbox, send the elevator down and jump across the shaft in rabbit form. Light the upper lamp as human Lana. Push the box under the right switch only to learn its button is missing. Call the elevator up, send it down, and ride on its roof; step onto the middle floor as it passes.

The wardrobe near the locked tower door contains a locked box. Open it with the screwdriver to find the red button. Ride up and install that button in the top-floor panel. Pressing it opens the two bottom doors, but they close again after each excursion.

  1. Return to the middle floor, send the elevator away, and drop through the left opening as rabbit Lana.
  2. Enter the bottom-right room first. Cut open its panel and take the magnet.
  3. When the walls close, wall-jump through the broken ceiling hatch. This returns Lana to the middle floor.
  4. Ride up, press the red button again, and use the bottom-left door.
  5. Climb the ladder, cut the upper panel, and use the magnet to release its hatch.
  6. Enter as rabbit Lana, take the tower key, then flee right through the vent before the charging monster reaches her.

The vent returns Lana to the elevator’s lower area. Climb to the middle floor and use the tower key on the right-hand door. If the bottom doors remain sealed, they have not broken permanently; go back to the top red button and reopen them.

Do not spend time fighting the clocktower chase

After Lord DeWitt joins the tar mass, run upward and drop each available security gate behind Lana. Rabbit form gives the safest movement speed on the long stairs. At the upper crank, lift the gate, pass through, and push the large crate beneath Marcel’s rope. Climb it and grab the rope. The QTE after DeWitt catches Lana is the only required confrontation in this chase.

A missing transition here was a launch-era problem in some late chapters, but the supplied current patch notes address multiple Chapter 10 blockers. If the next scene does not load in an updated client, use Restart Chapter rather than roaming back down the sealed staircase.

The dress-shop answer is the receipt, not the duplicate labels

Inspect the receipt box beside the cash register. It displays 29. In the dark dress room, move the stool left and test the hanging handle; it cannot work until the shop has power. Back in front, inspect the electrically active hat to reveal the power switch.

Turn the shop on, return to the dresses, and rotate the crank until dress 29 sits in front of the mechanism. Pull the hanging handle from the stool and search the lowered dress for the padlock key. Patch 6 corrected a display problem that once showed 93 on two dresses; the receipt is the intended authority in the current build.

Unlock the ladder gate and go upstairs. The Christmas tree is connected to a sparking socket. Return downstairs, turn off the hat switch, climb back up, and kick the now-safe socket. Push the tree aside and operate the lever behind it. The opened cash register below contains the backroom key. Use it on the upstairs right-hand door.

Final battle: break the shield before spending attacks

Mr. Kyn’s first phase is built around the magic umbrella. His ranged shot can be reflected; a successful reflection removes his shield immediately and leaves him open. His close teleport attack should be blocked rather than challenged with a long string. Save normal attacks for the visible stagger after the shield breaks.

Velenia’s evolved form has no shield. Raise the umbrella for the scream and rolling attack, wait for the animation to end, then punish. After that phase, clear the surrounding rotten rabbits until the Worlds Corrupter appears. The giant head attacks with eye beams while smaller enemies keep arriving. Move between the eyes when the head is exposed and use jumping attacks, then return to crowd control as it retreats.

Patch 6 corrected an interaction where Mr. Kyn’s ground attack could fail while Lana used the umbrella. Current behavior should take priority over older videos that rely on that safe gap. A death during any phase matters to The Invincible Princess and the all-death cleanup, so verify the desired achievement route before deciding whether to continue or restart.

Late-game recovery checkpoints

  • No workshop vent: raise the water twice, confirm cable contact, charge Baesie, then touch the generator.
  • No VIP pass: the sedative must be delivered outside and the fallen gentleman must be searched.
  • Bottom elevator doors closed: return to the top-floor red button; each trip resets them.
  • Dress mechanism does nothing: power is off, dress 29 is not aligned, or the stool is not beneath the handle.
  • Mr. Kyn takes no damage: reflect the projectile to remove the shield before attacking the health bar.

For a second run, the achievement roadmap separates the speed/no-death attempt from deliberate failures and long-play requirements. Players starting earlier can return to the Chapters 5-7 electrical and time route.
