Forza Horizon 6 Barn Finds: Stamp Unlocks and All 15 Search Areas

Barn Finds will not open just because you know the coordinates. Forza Horizon 6 ties each rumor to the Discover Japan stamp track. Reaching a barn before its color tier unlocks produces no collection cutscene, which is why a correct location can look broken.

This checklist follows the August 17, 2026 PC/Steam and Xbox client state. It separates the 15 stamp-gated Barn Finds from the nine always-explorable Treasure Cars and from weekly Treasure Hunts. The official Italian Exotics release notes set the current patch boundary used for the package; future live updates may adjust UI labels, but the journal readback remains the reliable gate.

Read the stamp color before driving to a rumor

Open Campaign > Collection Journal > Discover Japan. Seven Explorer tiers unlock in this order: yellow Visitor, green Sightseer, blue Traveller, pink Pathfinder, orange Navigator, purple Adventurer, and gold Master Explorer. A new tier reveals its Barn Find search areas on the map. Wristbands belong to the Horizon Festival campaign and do not substitute for these stamps.

Discover Japan progress comes from the activities identified by that journal, including exploration discoveries, Regional Mascots, Story events, Street Races, and Touge Battles. Use the journal’s own point values: live-service balancing can change which remaining activity is fastest, while the tier requirement displayed in your client is definitive.

Use a repeatable search-circle sweep

  1. Confirm the rumor is unlocked. The barn must appear as a search area after the corresponding stamp turns active.
  2. Fast travel to a road on the edge. Starting from pavement gives the drone a stable height and prevents a forest spawn from hiding the terrain shape.
  3. Fly a spiral, not random lines. Circle the outer third once, then cross the center. Look for a narrow dirt approach, cleared patch, or roof line.
  4. Mark the building with the drone. When the game recognizes it, return to the car and follow the new marker.
  5. Drive into the entrance trigger. Seeing the roof is not enough; the discovery cutscene confirms collection.

If the drone passes over the right building without marking it, recheck the stamp color before repeating the sweep. That failure signal points to progression, while an active circle with no marker usually means the barn is concealed by trees or sits at a different elevation.

Visitor through Traveller: establish the five early barns

2005 Honda NSX-R GT — Ohtani, yellow

Within the yellow search area, work toward the wooded hills along its northwestern edge. Two nearby roads narrow toward each other around the correct sector. The barn sits in rough ground between them, so bring something able to climb dirt rather than a low-powered city car. Sweep the high tree line with the drone before entering the undergrowth.

1969 Toyota 2000GT — Ito, green

Use Minka House and Ito’s northern coast to orient yourself. The barn is in a small stand of trees beside the seawall, on the southeastern edge of its circle, between two paths descending toward the beach. If your search reaches the higher Wind Farm, you have gone too far north.

1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 — southern Ito, green

This circle overlaps regional borders, but the barn itself is on Ito’s southern side. Find the crossroads near the circle’s lower edge and inspect the low wooded hill immediately south of that junction. The roof can be glimpsed from the road, making this a good target for a perimeter sweep rather than a center-first search.

1971 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R — Nangan, blue

Move to the far south of the search zone. Pass the houses on the main road and watch for a dirt track leaving toward the barn. If the route keeps pulling you along the coast, return to the houses and take the inland spur; this is a path-reading problem, not a cliff search.

1989 Nissan PAO — Minamino, blue

Search the woods at the circle’s northeastern edge. A dirt lane leaves the main road and ends at the barn. The nearby golf course belongs to the Dodge Charger Treasure Car clue, so do not let that landmark drag the Barn Find search east of its active circle.

Pathfinder is the major cleanup tier

1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 — southern Ohtani, pink

The circle straddles the Ohtani/Tokyo City edge. Stay in the Ohtani bamboo forest and find the dirt road between the two main routes leading toward Mei’s House. The barn is beside that smaller road on the northern side of the search area. Dense bamboo blocks car-level sight lines, so mark it from above.

1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 — Shimanoyama, pink

At the circle’s northeastern side, a broad dirt road climbs a short hill from the main road. Follow it to its end. The barn is visible before the summit in clear weather; if the lane narrows into a long mountain trail, you selected the wrong ascent.

1962 Lincoln Continental — Hokubu, pink

Find the colorful flower fields near the middle of the marked area, then inspect the patch of trees just south of them. Open farmland makes the roof easy to isolate with the drone. Avoid extending the search to the northern railway bridges, which belong to the BMW M1 Treasure Car.

1998 Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R — Takashiro, pink

Trace the eastern boundary until the paved road bends into a U. The barn is in the woodland enclosed by that curve. The nearby waterfall conceals the Mitsubishi Treasure Car, not this Skyline, so the road shape is the better confirmation.

1997 Mitsubishi Montero Evolution — Shimanoyama, orange

Inspect the forest on the southwestern edge of its circle, near the Bandai Azuma Skyline Drift Zone. Zooming in reveals a dirt path branching from the main road. Follow that branch rather than forcing a direct line through trees; the barn sits along the visible access route.

1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV — Ito, orange

Follow the main road across the circle to a long cleared strip near a three-way junction. Face the felled trees opposite the blue excavator, descend toward the eastern edge, and bend right around the slope. If the ground remains densely forested, return to the cleared strip—the machinery and cut timber are the entry markers.

1998 Nissan R390 (GT1) — Ohtani, purple

A dirt route crosses the circle’s northeastern edge close to the Shimanoyama border. Enter from the main road to the northeast, near the Bridge Underpass Trailblazer start, or follow the internal trail toward that edge. Searching the center misses the useful access line.

2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Time Attack — Shimanoyama, purple

The barn is in woods near the center of the search area, above Narai-Juku. Begin at the Narai-Juku Circuit, take the high dirt road, then descend the side path on the right; the roof appears beyond the hill. This target sits close to the Porsche 959 Treasure Car and the Peugeot barn, but each uses a different trigger and collection menu.

Gold opens the final pair

1983 Nissan #11 Tomica Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette — Ito, gold

At the southwestern edge of the circle, find where the main road enters from the west. A wide dirt track runs south between unusually thin trees. The lane is visible on the zoomed map and leads directly to the barn. If you are following a wind turbine road, you have drifted toward the Safari Treasure Car instead.

1991 Mazda #55 Mazda 787B — Takashiro, gold

Ignore the inviting open fields in the middle. The barn is in woods directly north of the search area, beyond buildings, footpaths, and farmland. Take the dirt branch from the main road near the northwestern edge and continue past the developed ground. This is the one case where the useful landmark sits just outside the apparent center of the purple circle.

Collection and repair are separate states

The discovery cutscene secures the car, but restoration may take time. Open Cars > Barn Finds to read the repair state. An instant repair option can consume Credits; waiting avoids that cost. Do not interpret a car that is still being restored as a missed location, and do not revisit the barn to accelerate the timer.

Before leaving a tier, compare the journal count with the table: 1 after yellow, 3 after green, 5 after blue, 9 after pink, 11 after orange, 13 after purple, and 15 after gold. That cumulative check catches a skipped cutscene while the relevant search circles are still easy to identify.

The official Steam page supplied identity, AppID 2483190, and both original JPEGs. Playground Games’ First Drive guide, progression overview, and official car list established the journal layers and model names. Three independent readable community location references were compared for the 15 stamp, region, car, and terrain pairings. Their map images were used only for verification and were not copied.
