Chapter 1 begins at a locked front door and ends with a midnight delivery at Simon’s Pub. The route is linear, but several objectives advance only after you unpack an item, use a particular workstation, visit during a time window, or finish the current need tutorial. This walkthrough follows the 20-quest Chapter 1 order in Little Sim World v1.0 and makes those handoffs clear.
Version boundary: this route was checked against the August 17, 2026 v1.0 launch state. Version 1.0 added Chapter 3, but the supplied quest documentation only supports detailed steps for Chapters 1 and 2. The Chapter 1 endpoint here is Eerie Errands; it is not the end of the current story.
Open the house, build the chair, and pay the first bill
Homecoming has only two gates. Take the keys from the mailbox, then use them on the house door. If the door remains locked, check the inventory pickup before trying unrelated buildings; the quest does not ask you to find Uncle George in town.
Sometimes You Have to Do It Yourself is the first build-and-craft handoff. Enter Build Mode and place the Shabby Workbench. Use that bench to make a Simpler Times Dining Chair, move the finished chair out of inventory, then return to Build Mode and place it. Crafting the chair is not the final step: placing the furniture is the last checkpoint.
We All Know Bill! starts back at the mailbox. Collect the bill, open the map, select Royal Snail so the destination is tracked, walk to the post office, and pay there. This is also the first useful test of the map marker: if the compass points somewhere unexpected, reopen the map and pin Royal Snail itself.
Repair the appliances before filling four needs
The Food Engineer sends you home. Open the workbench inventory and remove every stored material before attempting the repairs. Restore the stove and washing machine; leaving a required component inside the bench can make the interaction look unavailable even though the quest is active.
The next four quests are a controlled needs lesson:
- That’s My Secret, I’m Always Hungry!: prepare toast, eat that serving, take bottled water from the refrigerator, and drink it.
- Gotta Go!: use the toilet until the bladder bar is full, clean the toilet, then wash at the bathroom sink.
- Ah… That’s Much Better!: sit in the chair positioned at the computer and browse until Happiness reaches full.
- Nap Time!: sleep long enough to refill Energy, rather than stopping after a short rest.
Do these in the quest order. The game is teaching a different interaction state each time, so filling the same need early does not replace the later tracked action. When a step asks for a full bar, watch the bar rather than the animation timer.
Run Simon’s first grocery and fishing loop
A Good Start Is Half the Work moves the route from home to Simon’s Pub, then to LetsGo Grocery and Yuna. Once Yuna has taken over the conversation, Restocking gives an exact shopping order: three water bottles, five eggs, and one roll of toilet paper. Put each quantity into the basket, check out through Yuna, and carry the groceries back to Simon.
Count the items before checkout. A similar package or a loose item already in personal storage should not be assumed to satisfy the basket objective. If the delivery prompt is missing at the pub, reopen the quest panel and verify that the checkout line has completed.
There’s Always a Bigger Fish begins at the Dock. Speak with the older fisherman, catch one fish at either the Dock or Grosvenor Canal, report back to Thomas, and take the catch to Simon. This quest only needs a catch for the handoff; there is no supported requirement to hunt a particular species.
Turn torn trousers into the D&Y repair chain
A Question of Style starts with Simon’s torn trousers. Deliver them to Jacques at Banana21, buy clothing in the shop, speak to Jacques again, then go home. Unpack the purchase before opening the wardrobe. If the wardrobe step does not register, the usual missed checkpoint is the package still sitting unopened in inventory.
Coins, Tools, and a Helping Fool is longer because it changes owners twice. Wait until Simon finishes Dr. Aveyard’s meal, collect it, and deliver it at the Museum. Dr. Aveyard’s request then points to Samir at D&Y Construction. Inside D&Y, complete four separate fixes: organize the tool display, cycle the wallpaper display, switch on the lights, and restore the fallen garden arrangement. Do not leave after the first three look repaired.
A Shine on the Past closes that detour. Speak to Samir, bring the brush to Dr. Aveyard, use it to clean the Filthy Coin, and show the cleaned version to the curator. The evidence only supports this interaction sequence; it does not establish a reusable coin-cleaning recipe outside the quest.
Carry the Library problem through Futon and the Gym
A Writer’s Mind starts at Chloe’s Library counter. Try the printer repair, use the follow-up interaction that makes the printer run, and tell Chloe to send her manuscript. A visitor then needs a Fitness Magazine. Finish that interruption, persuade Chloe to walk to Royal Snail, and return to the Library to check the result. Treat each conversation as a checkpoint; leaving immediately after the printer works skips the manuscript handoff.
Frame the Moment, Bro begins with Ryan at Futon Furniture. The missing gift requires three dumpster searches in order: beside Moon Coffee, beside LetsGo, and by Bedford Square. After the third search, take the recovered gift to Viktoria at Bloom Sports Gym.
A Champion’s Spirit stays in the Gym. Talk to Viktoria, test the treadmill, recalibrate the machines, test the corrected treadmill, and speak to her once more. The first run is diagnostic; it is not interchangeable with the post-calibration run.
Find Nanako’s tome, then prepare a late-night board
The Lost Art of Coffee Spells starts with Nanako at Moon Coffee. Ask Chloe at the Library for help, inspect all three bookshelves, and finish the Library conversation. Searching one likely shelf is not enough because the objective explicitly tracks a three-shelf sweep.
Detective Sugar Angel, On Duty! expands the search across Little London. Check the Lost & Found at Royal Snail. Hugo Everheart is available at the Art Park from 07:00 to 19:00, so move that interview ahead of the later stops if evening is close. Search Bedford Square for the clue, return to Nanako, inspect the bathroom sink at Moon Coffee, and give the recovered tome back to her.
Eerie Errands is the Chapter 1 close. Read the strange mailbox instructions, inspect the recipe they point to, make the Charcuterie Board, and deliver it to Simon’s Pub between 20:00 and midnight. The board and the clock are separate gates: arrive with the finished dish, then use the delivery interaction inside the supported window.
Diagnose a Chapter 1 quest that will not advance
- Check the verb, not only the destination. Several steps require unpacking, cleaning, recalibrating, or reporting back after the visible task is done.
- Respect the two explicit clocks. Hugo’s Art Park visit is daytime; the Eerie Errands delivery is 20:00-00:00.
- Recount multi-object objectives. Restocking has three quantities, D&Y has four repairs, the Library search has three shelves, and Frame the Moment has three dumpsters.
- Update before following an old workaround. The v1.0 notes say quest indicators were clarified, pinned-quest behavior was repaired, and tutorial soft-lock risks were reduced. Restarting an old route is not the first supported response.
Chapter 2 starts with Crash Course in Academia and the University route. For optional chains that can be handled away from the main story, use the side quest checkpoint guide.
