Spiritstead Adventure Walkthrough: Forest, Winter, and Swamp Quest Order

A developed winter village in Spiritstead

A Spiritstead border usually stays closed because one dependency was left behind: population, a staffed tower, a storage cap, or a resource that belongs to the previous biome. The safe route is therefore not “buy every tile.” It is to finish each region with a working supply line and a short gate reserve before the next quest card appears.

This walkthrough follows the full-release Adventure route through the Forest, Winter, and Swamp. It was checked on August 23, 2026. The most recent patch for which this research found an official version label is v1.0.5, released August 10; an August 14 developer update does not name a newer build. Full-game and demo saves are not compatible, so begin from a new retail save if an old demo settlement is still visible in the menu.

Run every quest through three readbacks

Before spending for a quest, read the objective, the relevant build tooltip, and the settlement state that will exist after construction. A house can satisfy a population step while creating an immediate food and happiness deficit. A depot can increase capacity without producing the item it stores. A newly exposed tower can remain inert until it is restored and staffed.

Keep a compact reserve card beside the run:

  • Workers: current villagers, open jobs, and the population target on the next border.
  • Flow: one active food source and one active wood source, with enough free labor to operate both.
  • Storage: capacity for the next gated material; a full bar can make an assigned mine look broken.
  • Spirits: which portal is open, which node or tower is staffed, and which helper can be moved without stopping a quest.
  • Gate fund: coins plus the region-specific materials already named by the next lock.

Do not sell the gate fund to speed up a decorative objective. Sell the material that your current production can replace. If a worker refuses a job, check happiness, food, storage, and assignment before constructing another copy of the building.

Forest opening: turn two villagers into a stable loop

The tutorial asks for a Straw Hut first. Place it with enough clear ground for a production building and a path. Add the Log Cutting Station, pick up the available villager, and assign that villager to the station. Wait for the wood to enter the settlement inventory before selling anything. The useful success signal is an increasing wood count, not merely a chopping animation.

Sell enough wood to afford the second Straw Hut. Then place a Carrot Plot and a Bonfire. The two systems now compete for villagers: production needs labor, while a villager whose happiness is sliding needs time near the Bonfire. Do not fill every job slot. Keep one person movable until both food and wood are rising.

Your first land purchase should be the inexpensive plot on the left side of the starting area. The route then asks for a Clothesline and a third house. Accumulate at least two wood for the Clothesline before committing the new home. The additional resident is useful only if the Carrot Plot is keeping pace.

Build the Food Warehouse and Wood Warehouse when requested. The combined verified cost at this stage is 18 coins, three wood, and three carrots. These buildings solve capacity, not production. After each warehouse lands, watch one complete work cycle and confirm that output reaches the correct storage bar.

Open the first portal before expanding the farm district

The Spirit Portal Opener appears in the Spirit build category and costs five coins in the captured full-release route. Place it at the discovered portal and wait for the journal or quest card to acknowledge the activation. If the structure is present but the objective remains open, verify that it is attached to the portal rather than placed as an unrelated decoration.

Build a Basic Farmer’s House, then a Pumpkin Patch. The route records eight coins and three wood for the house, followed by 12 coins and five carrots for the patch. Add the requested Dirt Roads, but do not pave through the only open production footprint. Another Farmer’s House is useful here because the coming Chicken Coop needs labor without stripping the existing fields.

Construct the Chicken Coop with 15 coins and five wood. One early spirit test uses a chicken and the Bonfire; the companion Spiritstead spirit unlock guide gives the interaction and the confirmation check. For the Adventure chain, what matters next is that Peppok is available for spirit work.

A compact Forest settlement with farms and a windmill in Spiritstead
A compact Forest block keeps housing, crops, wood, and storage close enough to inspect without hiding every job behind scenery.

Forest middle: make Crystals without starving the town

Place the free Crystal Node when the quest exposes it, then assign Peppok. Wait for the Crystal count to change. If the node shows a worker but produces nothing, check whether storage is capped and whether the assignment actually snapped into the node slot.

The next construction wave is a Market Stall, three Lantern Posts, a Log Cabin, and a Sawmill. Build in that order only when the town remains fed. The recorded Market Stall cost is 18 coins and four wood; each Lantern Post uses two wood. The Log Cabin needs 18 coins and eight wood. The new Sawmill should take a worker from an older wood job only after you have seen which station produces the better current flow.

Add the requested house, then prepare 16 wood and six Crystals for the Spirit Shrine. A second Crystal Node follows. Do not put both available spirits into mining if the quest also expects one in a tower or collector. Move one helper, read the objective, and observe the new Crystal tick before moving the other.

Lucky’s minigame sits behind a purchased map tile. The captured route reaches it by spending seven Crystals on the relevant expansion. Before buying that plot, place the Crystal Stash if your cap is close. A capped Crystal bar wastes mining time and can leave you short for the Winter lock even though the nodes looked busy.

Cross into Winter with ten villagers and a real reserve

The Winter border is a three-part gate: reach town level 8, raise the population to ten, and carry 100 coins plus 12 Crystals. Houses solve only the population component. Keep a food producer, a wood producer, and at least one flexible villager operating while you save the currency.

Before paying the lock, make three different flower types touch in one cluster. That summons Blumby in the verified route. Assign Blumby and Peppok to the same node when the quest asks for two spirits together. The success state is the objective changing after both icons occupy the required work target; spawning a second Peppok is neither necessary nor expected.

Build the Tiny Fountain and Hospital, then expose the first Wizard mini tower by buying its map tile. Add the Sheep Farm before spending the restoration materials, because several Winter interactions depend on sheep. Restore the mini tower with 100 coins, ten Crystals, and 30 carrots, then place Blumby inside it. A discovered ruin is not an active tower; the staffed state is the checkpoint.

Switch build families deliberately

The construction panel now has Forest and ice-themed families. When an objective names a Winter structure, switch to the snowman/ice set before searching individual categories. Build the Ice House, Fishing Bucket, and Winter Crystal Node. Switch back to the Forest family for the Artisan’s House and Small Cafe, then return to the ice set as needed.

Expose a Moonstone Mine by purchasing the required snowy tile and assign Peppok to it. Do not sell the first Moonstones. Winter uses them for clinics, depots, banners, housing, towers, and the next biome gate. Add storage before the bar reaches its current limit.

Winter build chain: portal first, then capacity

The next useful spirit checks can be folded into required infrastructure. Put a chicken on the Food Warehouse for Yolkos. When Plop’s object is available, align a trio of Swamp Relief decorations without gaps. Purchase the tile containing the Winter Spirit Portal, select the ice structure family, and attach the Winter Portal Opener. The objective should confirm the portal, and Glintin should register as the area’s portal spirit.

Return to Forest production for three Wheat Fields and a Windmill, then place a Scarecrow beside that group. Use a sheep at the active Spirit Portal for Wooly. These interactions are not detours: they expand the spirit roster before the route begins demanding more simultaneous assignments.

Build the Fisherman’s Hut for 35 coins and 11 Crystals, followed by the Frostbite Clinic for 120 coins and six Moonstones. The clinic is a happiness/health safeguard; it does not replace food. If workers stop after this purchase, inspect supplies and morale instead of assuming the new building is malfunctioning.

The following wave combines both biome families:

  1. Place a Blueberry Field and Blueberry Shack from normal production.
  2. Add the Harvest Banner from the ice Spirit category.
  3. Build the Moonstone Depot and Tiny Spirit Speed Orb. The route’s combined requirement is about 115 coins and 18 Crystals; trust the live tooltips if your build differs.
  4. Purchase the plot that reveals the Winter decoration minigame.
  5. Raise population to 16 without removing the workers that keep food and wood positive.
  6. Place the Moon Market Stall, then verify happiness before starting the next housing wave.

Next come the Food Depot, Timber Bunkhouse, Lumberjack’s Hut, and Wood Depot. The three timber buildings collectively demand 16 Crystals and 14 Moonstones in the verified route. Accumulate those materials first so an unfinished housing purchase does not strand the production upgrade.

Find the second Moonstone Mine, add the Banner of Timber and Bargain Bellman, then place the Frosty Outhouse. Treat the mine as confirmed only when an assigned spirit changes the Moonstone total. If it does not, clear capacity and re-seat the helper before buying another depot.

The tower circuit is the real Swamp prerequisite

Build the Banner of Crystals, a Roasting Fire, and enough housing to reach 19 villagers. Reveal the second mini tower, restore it with 100 coins and ten Moonstones, and staff it with Blumby. Then place the Happy Tavern and Stone Goat Shelter; the recorded Goat Shelter cost includes six Moonstones, while the Tavern uses nine.

Expose the third Moonstone Mine and the third mini tower on the far-right side of the snowy region. Add the Stone Grotto Cottage with 15 Crystals and ten Moonstones. Build the Banner of Moonstones using 300 coins and ten Moonstones. Finally, purchase the plot containing the main Wizard Tower for 100 coins and ten Moonstones.

If the main tower remains locked, do not build random duplicates. Inspect all three mini towers and make sure each has been restored and contains a spirit. Official v1.0.5 fixed translations around the third tower, which is another reason to update before following older labels. The main tower state, not merely discovering its tile, is the handoff to Swamp preparation.

The Swamp lock then asks for 300 coins, 20 Moonstones, and 22 villagers. Grow from 19 to 22 only after the existing food and happiness bars are stable. Place Peppok and Styx Jr. on Moonstone work if the quest requests them, but keep storage and tower assignments in view so moving a helper does not silently disable a prerequisite.

A large connected Forest village in Spiritstead
Population gates are safest when new housing extends an existing service loop instead of creating an isolated district.

Swamp opening: establish Mushies before buying decorations

Buy the first Swamp land with Crystals, then switch to the Swamp structure family. Construct the 80-coin, 40-wood Mossy Cabin. Add the Soggy Trunk for 30 carrots and five Moonstones. These two purchases establish population and production; verify both before spending the remaining Moonstones.

Place the Swamp Well with 30 coins and one Mushie. Mushies come from the Swamp mining rocks, so expose and staff a source before planning multiple Mushie-cost buildings. The Swamp Spirit Portal Opener requires 200 coins and four Mushies. Attach it to the discovered portal and confirm Mushin in the spirit journal.

Baba’s Bazaar supplies the Spirit Purifier and Evil Spirit Basher. Buy one of each when the quests introduce corrupted ground. Place a Purifier directly on a corrupted plot and wait for the land state to change. If the terrain stays poisoned, move the device only after checking its valid placement footprint; buying another one first does not diagnose the failed position.

Add three Gravestones and a Mossy Bench. The recorded price for each Gravestone is 11 coins and one Mushie; the bench uses 11 wood. The next objective exposes two Mushie Mines and asks for Styx Jr. and Peppok on the same mining target. Confirm both assignments on one mine rather than splitting them across the two visible deposits.

Swamp middle: alternate housing with the production that pays for it

Build the Bog Bungalow after saving 120 coins and ten Moonstones. Add ten Mossy Roads; each captured road segment costs three coins and one Moonstone. Roads are a quest quantity here, so count placed pieces rather than assuming a connected visual path is ten.

The Spore Mansion needs 15 Moonstones and five Mushies. Follow it with three Green Lanterns and a Swamp-Sage Farm. Then place three Jack-o’-lanterns, three Shroom Lamps, and the Muddy Outhouse. Keep one open square around each production exit; dense decoration can hide an assignment or make a stalled route difficult to read.

Construct the Grim Tree and Old Tower with a combined 50 coins, ten wood, and six Mushies. Purify the next requested patches, then build the Whispering Depot before the Messy Clinic. The depot raises Mushie capacity, so it should exist before you commit more workers to mining.

The froggy race minigame is on the left side of the Swamp map. Purchase toward that landmark when its objective appears, then build the Crocodile Farm. Do not search unrevealed tiles for a clickable race object; the minigame is only actionable after its plot is exposed.

Finish at the Sanctuary with the map and ledgers intact

Locate the third Mushie Mine, then add the Swamp Brewery and Swamp Trader’s Stand. The captured route calls for at least seven Mushies and 15 Moonstones across this final construction band. Refill both materials before buying more land.

The last Adventure objectives ask you to find the Grand Spirit Sanctuary and purchase the remaining territory. The Sanctuary sits toward the top of the poisoned Swamp. You can reveal it before every tile is owned, but the all-territory objective still needs the full map purchase. Treat these as separate checks: discovering the structure does not complete the territory ledger.

Before the first Sanctuary restoration, inspect the achievement text in your current client. One achievement requires the first section to be restored using wild animals only. Farm animals such as chickens and sheep do not satisfy that condition. If you care about that unlock, do not make an experimental Sanctuary contribution and hope to correct it later.

When the finish state is near, run one final audit:

  • All three biome portals show their active state.
  • All three mini towers and the main Wizard Tower are restored and staffed as the current objective requires.
  • Crystal, Moonstone, and Mushie storage can accept another work tick.
  • The settlement remains above zero happiness with food, healthcare, and toilets still operating.
  • Every remaining dark territory tile has an explicit, affordable purchase.
  • The Sanctuary contribution matches the achievement route you intend to keep.

When an objective refuses to clear

A building exists but the quest stays open: confirm the biome variant and category. A normal house does not substitute for an Ice House or Mossy Cabin, and an opener placed away from its portal is just a misplaced structure.

A mine or node looks staffed but the resource is flat: check storage capacity, then remove and reassign the spirit once. Do not move every spirit at once; that destroys the working assignment you need for comparison.

The next border has no purchase action: compare population, town level, resources, portal state, and tower staffing. The visible price is only one part of the gate.

Workers stop after a population push: pause housing. Restore food and happiness with the smallest available intervention, verify one production cycle, and only then add the next resident.

An old demo town behaves unpredictably: stop using that save for a full-release walkthrough. Turbo Dog Games explicitly says demo saves are incompatible with the retail version even if the menu still lists them.

The route ends when the Sanctuary and territory objectives are satisfied, not when the last decoration is placed. Keep the economy readable through the final contribution; that leaves a healthy settlement for spirit cleanup and any post-story building you still want to finish.
