Do not reach Fatal Claw’s late choices with only a list of locked Steam icons. The 51 achievements are governed by timeline state: whether Kurtz and Cain were defeated, which survivors were cured, whether the Silver Claw is restored, how many Jibanam Tree Sap items survived a Return, and which version of the Wheel of Fate you used. The safe route is to decide those states before fighting Odz, then let ordinary exploration unlock around that plan.
This roadmap is bounded to the Windows 1.0 release checked on August 27, 2026. Steam confirms 51 achievements and the completed 1.0 story; the current community walkthrough was updated after launch and separates first-timeline, post-Return, and third-timeline requirements. The developers have already hotfixed progression in Sorron’s Archive, so a door or character-switch failure there is a client-version check, not a puzzle to brute-force.

Lock the three-timeline plan before Odz
Most of the list is forgiving. One achievement, Leave No One Behind, is not. It requires Ain, Nia, and Carbo to be cured in the same playthrough, while the community route says carried items persist across Returns and only one new Jibanam Tree Sap is available from the marked chest at the top of the Jibanam Tree in each cycle. That turns the completion route into a three-timeline inventory plan.
- Initial timeline: open regions, complete the ten-shard and Silver Claw chains, obtain ordinary progression achievements, and use the Wheel of Fate for The Beginning of Everything. Do not treat the first ending as the end of the achievement route.
- First Return: collect the next Jibanam Tree Sap, prove that AZSR-01 can cure someone if needed for Time to Rise Again, but preserve enough sap for the all-three cure. Complete the one-Return purifications, Memory Fragment work, ending states, Max deliveries, and Cain route.
- Second Return into the third timeline: collect the third sap, convert all three into AZSR-01, and cure Ain, Nia, and Carbo in one cycle. Nia must be treated after exactly two sanctuary seals are lifted; one is too early, while the checked route warns that three is too late.
Keep a four-line note before each ending: Kurtz defeated?, Cain defeated in the Hydraulic Engine Room?, sanctuaries unsealed?, and uncrafted sap held?. Those four facts diagnose more of the late list than the map completion percentage.
Use the 34 exploration achievements as route readbacks
The public list and current walkthrough identify 34 achievements that belong to ordinary exploration. They are checkpoints, not 34 separate detours. The groups below are an audit order; Fatal Claw’s map is nonlinear, so a neighboring pair is not a promise that every player reaches the rooms in exactly the same sequence.
| Route state | Achievement readbacks | What a missing unlock means |
|---|---|---|
| Opening combat and equipment | Weed Control, Fine-Tuned!, Claw Sharpening, Let There Be Light, Destroyed Legacy | Recheck Saitin and Mirkam kills, a Cabitz equipped in an active slot, a Kannium Claw upgrade, and receipt of the Damaged Silver Claw. |
| First transport and information loop | Return, Gale Warning, For a Great Cause, Knowledge Is Power, Too Slow… | Return here means teleporting through a Vanrion’s Gate, not using the Wheel of Fate. The other checks are Strigine Quarry, one shard delivery to Iedart, one Archive delivery to Max, and defeating Irbes. |
| Expanded regions and survivor jobs | Dimension Walker, Golden Castle, Sacrifice, Something Precious, Did It Work?, Into the Darkness, 1-on-1 Lesson, Pull Yourself Together, The End of the Prophecy, Frozen Boundary, Fulfill the Calling | Match the description to a concrete state: upgraded gate, Elord Castle, infected Carbo, Rotri’s request, Giant Guardian disabled by the wave discharger, Black Canyon, an Inherited Skill, Ortrinde, the Imprinter trial, Higasha Tundra, and Sommar. |
| Machines, records, and royal tools | Remix Begins!, Bridging the Past, Remember Us, King’s Authority, Faster Than Lightning | Open Jack’s Vault, assemble the two fractured medallions, find the special Stone of Intelligence on the lowest central floor of the Memorial Chamber, obtain the Golden Claw, and win the duel with Cain. |
| Sanctuaries and first finale | Prison of the Forbidden, Sea of Energy, First Key of Hope, Second Key of Hope, Water Cat, Third Key of Hope, The Last King’s End, The Beginning of Everything | Confirm Jayma’s Dungeon, Kannir Belt, all three sanctuary seals, Meditation of Jibanam, Odz, and the first Wheel of Fate Return as separate events. |
Two small interactions deserve an explicit check. Beside Jack, inspect the nearby container marked by a pair of rings; that is the Vault that supplies the Combinator and Remix Begins!. At the Stone Sanctuary, the first seal is released with a charged Golden Claw attack. Repeatedly touching the seal without that attack does not prove the room is broken.
Close the ten-shard and Silver Claw dependencies
The Aisare’s Stone chain begins with For a Great Cause for the first delivery and ends with He Was an Excellent Assistant. Eight shards are marked on the map. The other two are held by characters: find Isaac west of The Wolf Gate, and defeat Sneak at Transport Dock’s eastern station. Count the eight map markers and the two character-held shards separately; a cleared map alone can still leave the total at eight.
After all ten are delivered, the red door at Black Spirit Spring, directly south of The Wolf Gate, opens. Following that route to Sorron resolves The End of the Illusion. If the switch operates but the Archive door remains shut, or the game cannot switch back to Kisha inside the Archive, update first: the official pre-release hotfix names both faults.
The Silver Claw branch then carries three more readbacks:
- What Remains: take Grande’s brooch back to Origin Laboratory, then use its Restoration Chamber to rebuild the damaged Silver Claw.
- Where the Black Current Ends: enter Aphotic Marsh only after that repair. A route that appears closed before the repair is a dependency signal, not evidence of a missing jump.
- The End of the Black Calamity: defeat Kurtz and complete the restored Silver Claw resolution.
There is also a blue-wall gate outside the achievement names themselves. Equip the Black Spirit Husk, speak with White Spirit Kurtz in White Mire, and obtain the White Spirit Husk. White Spirit Ascension can then open the blue barrier. This upgrade is also part of the later Cain rescue route, so verify the equipped husk and the conversation before searching for a different entrance.
Trigger Curiosity Killed the Cat deliberately
Curiosity Killed the Cat needs a state that ordinary exploration may never create. Drink Adrian’s Tea from Lara in Aurora Village, travel to the Mirror Chamber while the tea effect is still active, and let Kisha die there. The diagnostic is three-part: the drink came from Lara, the effect is still present, and the death occurred inside the Mirror Chamber. A death on the approach or a visit after the effect expires should not be counted.
Do this as a named experiment rather than folding it into a boss attempt. If the achievement does not appear, recheck location and effect before repeating deaths; the trigger is the combination, not a death counter.
Stage the two ending-state achievements
The Light Has Faded and The King’s Shield differ by Cain, while both require Kurtz to remain undefeated before Odz. The Cain fight that matters is specifically the Hydraulic Engine Room duel; the Strigine Shrine encounter does not satisfy this condition.
| Achievement | Kurtz | Cain in Hydraulic Engine Room | After Odz |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Light Has Faded | Do not defeat | Do not defeat | The checked route returns to the main menu and does not perform a Return. |
| The King’s Shield | Do not defeat | Defeat | Ortrinde protects Kisha; the easter-egg sequence forces a Return and does not allow item collection during the interlude. |
Because the first state exits to the menu while the second advances the timeline, read the Steam unlock before assuming the next cycle began. Do not use the appearance of Cain elsewhere as a substitute for the Hydraulic Engine Room flag.
Make the first Return carry four cleanup jobs
After a Return, combine progress instead of making one cycle per achievement:
- Memory work: reach 20 Memory Fragments for Memory Collector. Spending 20 with Skyle in Aurora Village resets the Claw, returns the used Kannium, and unlocks Recalibration. Confirm the fragment total before spending so the collection and reset readbacks are both visible.
- Hero purification: with the complete Silver Claw, handle all four infected heroes in one playthrough for Heroes’ Repose: Mirkam, Irbes, Sommar, and Saemo must each be defeated and then purified. Completing that treatment for any one of them also satisfies The End of a Long Mission.
- Archive analysis: deliver information to Max four times for Gatorware Rookie. The checked route says the four hero purifications and the reveal that Iedart is Enma fill character data; for other enemies, keep defeating that enemy until its analysis completes. A single visit to Max is only Knowledge Is Power.
- Cure proof: after a Return, Murant is sealed when defeated. Take Jibanam Tree Sap to the left-hand machine, craft AZSR-01, and cure Ain, Nia, or Carbo for Time to Rise Again only if doing so will not consume the stock reserved for the three-person cure.
The tension is intentional: Time to Rise Again asks for any one cure, while Leave No One Behind asks for all three in one later playthrough. If only one sap is available, postpone the proof rather than spending the item merely because the single-cure achievement is visible.
Reserve all three cures for the third timeline
Carry the first sap through the initial Return, collect the second in the next cycle, Return again, and collect the third from the chest at the top of Jibanam Tree. Craft three AZSR-01 doses at Origin Laboratory. Do not cure one survivor in an earlier timeline and assume the game will add that history to the final achievement; the requirement is all three in the same playthrough.
Nia is the scheduling gate. Lift exactly two sanctuary seals, then treat her. At one seal she is not ready; after all three, the checked route says she dies. Cure Ain and Carbo in that same timeline, verify each interaction completed, and only then move the sanctuary state beyond two. If the achievement remains locked, audit the current cycle rather than lifetime cure history.
Finish Cain’s debt and the alternate timeline
This Settles My Debt is a dependency chain, not a single Cain conversation:
- Defeat Cain in the Hydraulic Engine Room so he can appear in the relevant ending state.
- Deliver all ten Aisare’s Stone Shards and reveal Iedart as Enma, opening Black Spirit Spring’s red door south of The Wolf Gate.
- Enter Black Spirit Spring and trigger the scene in which Enma imprisons Cain.
- Upgrade the equipped Black Spirit Husk through White Spirit Kurtz in White Mire, then use the White Spirit ability on Black Mire’s overhead blue barrier and rescue Cain.
- Complete the ending state in which both Ortrinde and Cain are present, enter the easter-egg sequence, and speak to Cain outside.
- Go to Sorron’s Archive, complete Cain’s character sequence, then meet Kisha again.
For The King’s Return, collect the Blue Clockhand Stone in Sorron’s Archive and carry it to the Shrine of Ancestors. Interact with the Wheel of Fate, place the stone in its socket, strike the newly available lever to select that timeline, and Return. This produces a special ending record rather than a full exploration cycle; use the Stone of Narrative readback to confirm the alternate title, then return to the main menu.
Audit the blocked achievement by state, not by rarity
When one of the 51 remains locked, place it in one of four buckets before replaying a boss:
- Interaction: Cabitz equipped, Kannium spent, Archive data handed over, Jack’s box opened, Memorial Chamber stone read, or wave discharger used.
- Location/boss: the named region was entered or the named infected character was actually defeated.
- Dependency: all ten shards, repaired Silver Claw, White Spirit Husk, full hero purification set, or Cain rescue chain.
- Timeline: Kurtz/Cain flags, exact sanctuary count, available sap, current-cycle cures, or the selected Clockhand Stone timeline.
Steam’s percentage is not a route diagnostic. The achievement name, its description, and the in-game state that should have changed are. Record the client version when the expected state is visibly correct but no unlock appears; the launch hotfixes show that progression defects can be real.
The Fusion Skills branch is a separate completion job
Remix Begins! only proves that the Combinator was obtained. It does not prove that all five current Fusion Skill formulas were found or entered in the correct order. Use the five-recipe Fusion Skills guide for the icon sequences, clue rooms, riddle decoding, and failed-combination checks; that work is intentionally separate from the 51-achievement timeline.
Evidence ledger for the launch build
The official Fatal Claw Steam page establishes NDEV GAMES, Com2us Holdings, the August 26, 2026 Windows 1.0 release, nonlinear exploration, Mutated Abilities, Engraved Skills, Cabitz, the Silver and Golden Claws, choice-shaped endings, and the 51-achievement count. Steam’s public achievement list is the authority for names and visible requirements. Current community guides were used for state-sensitive unlock conditions, while official launch and hotfix announcements define the version boundary. Fixed boss tactics, a universal map order, guaranteed completion time, unverified save manipulation, and future patch behavior are not claimed.
