A Fatal Claw Fusion Skill can fail even when all the right Engraved Skills are present. The Combinator reads the inputs from left to right, so reversing two icons is not a harmless variation; it is a different formula and can waste the attempt. Identify the five glyphs first, place them in the recorded order, and use the resulting skill name and mana cost as the final readback.
Check these five formulas against in-client Ver. 1.0.1, available on August 26, 2026, and the 1.0 Steam release metadata available on August 27. The five component icons do not have stable English names in the current community reference, so identify them by the shapes and colors shown here.

Name the five glyphs before touching Combine
Every current formula is assembled from the same five pictures. Match shape and color together; color alone is unsafe when the room is dark or an effect is animating over the interface.
| Shorthand used here | Visual checksum | Do not confuse it with |
|---|---|---|
| Automaton eye | Orange and gold mechanical diamond with a central eye | The red starburst; both can look bright at small UI scale. |
| Blue crescent | Blue circular slash or moon with a dark center | A generic blue ability effect outside the Combinator slot. |
| Purple shield | Pale purple curved plate with darker circular cells | The blue crescent, especially when the slot highlight cools the color. |
| Green fangs | Two luminous green claw or fang shapes | A poison-status icon; verify the paired teeth silhouette. |
| Red starburst | Crimson spiked impact centered in a dark square | The automaton eye, which has a hard mechanical outline. |
Read the occupied slots aloud from left to right before confirming. If the formula needs four components, four correct icons plus an accidental fifth is not the same recipe.
Enter the five recipes in this exact order
| Fusion Skill | Left-to-right input | Mana readback | Result behavior shown by the current guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deflecting Blade | Blue crescent → Red starburst | 200 | Throws a blade that can strike surrounding enemies consecutively. |
| Mythical Creature’s Retribution | Purple shield → Red starburst → Green fangs | 100 | Forms a shield from the creature’s remains; a successful block launches counterattacking spikes. |
| Nagaraja’s Illusions | Red starburst → Purple shield → Green fangs → Blue crescent | 200 | Creates a recurring serpent illusion that bites nearby enemies before vanishing. |
| Automata: Annihilation | Automaton eye → Blue crescent | 100 | Summons a thrown automaton that wipes nearby enemies with an explosion. |
| Extermination Protocol | Automaton eye → Blue crescent → Purple shield → Green fangs → Red starburst | 500 | Summons a giant guardian to attack nearby hostile targets. |
The mana value is a checksum, not a crafting cost estimate. If the result name appears but its displayed mana does not match the row, preserve a screenshot and check the current client version; do not force the guide’s launch-day number onto a later balance patch.
Open the Combinator before chasing formula rooms
The achievement Remix Begins! is the clean equipment gate. Jack’s Vault is not a distant dungeon: it is the box with two ring marks immediately to Jack’s left. Open it and obtain the Combinator. Then confirm the Fusion interface actually accepts multiple Engraved Skill icons before leaving to collect clues.
If the box has been opened but no multi-slot interface is available, stop the recipe run and recheck the unlock. A formula clue cannot compensate for a missing Combinator, and repeatedly visiting the clue rooms will not change that equipment state.
Read each clue at its source
Read each clue in its own format. Some show the icons directly, one distributes them across rooms, and one encodes them as colored words. If a formula fails, first check that you interpreted that clue’s format correctly.
Deflecting Blade: copy the two-icon workshop diagram
The checked clue is a drafting-table scene where a workshop character examines a diagram through a magnifying lens. The board shows the blue crescent first and the red starburst second. The community source does not name the zone in text, so use the workstation and magnifier as the reliable scene checkpoint rather than attaching an invented room name to it.
At the Combinator, verify there are exactly two occupied slots. A red-first arrangement uses the same pictures but is not Deflecting Blade.
Mythical Creature’s Retribution: traverse the three rooms left to right
The clue is in Nagaraja Ruins. The source instructs the player to enter three adjacent rooms from left to right; those rooms establish the sequence purple shield, red starburst, green fangs. Treat traversal direction as part of the clue. Visiting the same rooms right to left and copying encounter order reverses the recipe.
Before leaving the ruins, write the three shapes in order. The final skill costs 100 mana in the checked version and its shield counterattacks only after a successful block, so simply seeing a purple shield effect is not enough to identify the result.
Nagaraja’s Illusions: translate the color sentence
The riddle is in Residential Area 2 and reads: “The crimson thorns, and the recipient of their dark protection. Behold the viridian fangs that shall raze the blue moon.” The color and noun pairs map directly to the interface:
- crimson thorns = red starburst;
- dark protection = purple shield;
- viridian fangs = green fangs;
- blue moon = blue crescent.
Do not reorder the nouns into a combat combo that sounds more natural. The sentence is already the input sequence. A correct result displays Nagaraja’s Illusions and 200 mana.
Automata: Annihilation: finish the Aurora Village progress track
The community location image places this clue in Aurora Village, in the room above the Sealed Transport Route. A four-stage progress bar is shown with the room checkpoint. Advance that local track until the clue room presents the orange automaton eye followed by the blue crescent.
The formula itself is only two icons. If the clue is not present, inspect the local progress track rather than adding more components to the recipe. A completed Automata: Annihilation result displays 100 mana.
Extermination Protocol: verify the Robot Workshop gate
The final clue is on the right-side corridor of Robot Workshop. The current community source warns that the required donation amount appears to vary between players. That makes a fixed currency number unsafe: donate until the room’s own state advances and the five-icon machine display is available, then read the display rather than counting somebody else’s payments.
The formula uses all five glyphs in this order: automaton eye, blue crescent, purple shield, green fangs, red starburst. The result is the 500-mana Extermination Protocol. If only four slots are filled, the late-game name and high mana readback cannot appear.
Separate a locked clue from a failed formula
Use the failure signal to choose the next action:
| What you see | Likely problem | Next check |
|---|---|---|
| Jack’s multi-slot interface is unavailable | Combinator not obtained or not active | Return to the two-ring box beside Jack and verify Remix Begins!. |
| The expected clue is absent from its room | Local quest, progress, or donation gate incomplete | Check the room’s own progress indicator; do not experiment with extra recipe icons. |
| Every pictured icon is present but fusion fails | Order is wrong | Empty the slots and rebuild strictly from left to right. |
| A different Fusion Skill appears | A similar-looking glyph was selected or an extra slot remained occupied | Compare shape plus color and count the occupied slots. |
| The right name appears with a different mana value | Possible later balance change | Record the client version and trust the live result for current cost; keep the launch formula order under review. |
This diagnostic order protects money and time. It distinguishes access, clue, input, and patch problems instead of treating every failure as a reason to repeat the entire map route.
Choose the skill by function after proving the recipe
The five skills do different jobs, but the available evidence does not justify a permanent tier list. Use their verified behaviors as a selection test:
- Deflecting Blade is a 200-mana consecutive-strike projectile; test it where repeated contact is useful.
- Mythical Creature’s Retribution is a 100-mana defensive counter; it needs a successful block before the spikes answer.
- Nagaraja’s Illusions is a 200-mana periodic nearby bite; judge it over the full summon interval, not the first appearance.
- Automata: Annihilation is a 100-mana thrown explosive unit; check whether its local wipe solves the room you are entering.
- Extermination Protocol is a 500-mana guardian summon; its higher cost requires an encounter long enough to justify the commitment.
Those are decision criteria, not damage rankings. The source does not establish fixed damage, cooldowns, boss matchups, Cabitz combinations, or a universal best loadout, and a post-launch balance update could change costs before it changes the recipe clues.
Keep the 51-achievement route separate
Finding all five formulas is a collection job, while the Steam list is driven by Returns, survivor states, shards, endings, and timeline choices. Use the Fatal Claw achievement roadmap for the ten-shard chain, Silver Claw restoration, Cain and Kurtz ending flags, Memory Fragments, hero purifications, and the three-dose AZSR-01 plan.
Check the formulas against the current version
Check AppID 2827750, the NDEV GAMES title published by Com2us Holdings, and the August 26, 2026 Windows release on the official Fatal Claw Steam listing. The listing also documents Engraved Skills, Cabitz customization, nonlinear regions, and the completed Fatal Claw weapon path. Confirm Remix Begins! and the 51-achievement set on the official achievement page. For the five launch formulas, clue images, Ver. 1.0.1 boundary, input-order warning, variable-donation caution, and Jack’s Vault interaction, compare the current client with the two community guides. Do not assume fixed component UI names, donation totals, damage numbers, cooldowns, rankings, or future formulas.
