To finish Graveyard Keeper 2, take Herbert a Burial Certificate, raise the Graveyard to quality 10, open the Church for 3 Faith, and win the fight that opens the Port. From there, restore the Port shop, win the Village election, reach the Royal Foundry and collect the first five portal fragments. Resolve the Red Eye choice, recruit three pairs of friends, install Wrath as the sixth fragment, and win the Palace battle. The seventh fragment, Greed, comes after that fight; install it at Gunter’s tower to finish the story. This walkthrough covers the September 2026 full release and contains ending spoilers.

From the prison to Herbert’s first certificate

The opening runs through the Inquisition prison, Jack’s workshop and the town’s first defense before you reach the abandoned base. Put the tools the tutorial asks for on your hotbar, then equip the sword and armor Jack provides. After the retreat, the base becomes your home. Sleep there to save and receive the first woodworking technology.

Donkey leaves a corpse at the Morgue. Put it on the Autopsy Table and inspect it; picking its pocket also gives an early blue technology point. At the Graveyard Blueprint Desk, place an Empty Grave, dig it, put the body in and fill it. The nearby chest has a Rusty Shovel, Rusty Hammer and three Wooden Signs. Fit one sign to the grave, keep the Burial Certificate, and show it to Herbert at the Crossroads. He checks the certificate without taking it. The Village gate and regular corpse deliveries open after this conversation.

Herbert’s next request is Graveyard quality 10. A grave’s decorations cannot add more quality than its white skulls allow, while red skulls work against you. Remove Fat and Blood before burying a suitable body, then add a gravestone and fence. Early Wooden Cross I and Wooden Fence I can give a good grave up to 3 quality, so several graves or an exterior bench will get you to 10. An open pit lowers the rating; finish each grave you start. The Morgue initially holds one body, so clear it before the next Donkey delivery. Return to Herbert when the displayed Graveyard rating reaches 10.

Village errands, Jack’s boat and the Church

Start Herm’s Wheat early. Buy seeds at his Village store, unlock Gardening and plant a Garden Bed with a shovel on your hotbar. The Planted and Delivered hand-in needs 5 harvested Wheat. While it grows, visit the twins south of the Village, find Jeffry near the Hangman’s House, and replace their lost pottery with 6 Clay Plates. You make the plates at a Potter’s Wheel from clay gathered at Riverside. The twins give you a Basic Rod. These two deliveries supply the Village reputation needed to persuade them to row Jack’s boat.

Jack appears at your house after you meet Herm. At the boat in Twin’s Land, bring him 5 Wooden Planks and then 5 Bronze Details; talk the twins into rowing once Village reputation reaches 10. Ask Jack if he is ready and sleep so he sails. Sleep again after his departure. This follow-up introduces Agatha at the Tavern and gives you the Magic bell recipe. If Jack’s material hand-in is blocked, check the crafting chain: the first sleep unlocks the Sawhorse, Woodworking I gives Wooden Planks, and Bronze Details need a furnace, Bronze Craft and a Hardening Bucket touching the Wooden Anvil. Your hammer and Smithing mastery must meet the recipe’s requirement.

Speak with Agatha at the Village Tavern, enter the Church, then clean and repair it until its quality reaches 10. The ruined pots, blockages and benches all affect that rating; the four early blockages each take 1 Bronze Detail and 1 Board. Visit the Church interior before reporting back to her. Hold the first sermon with the Basic Prayer she gives you. The first ceremony has a wider timing window; later sermons are on Wrath day. Church quality and available Likes limit attendance, and the first sermon supplies enough Faith for Herbert’s 3-Faith request if the congregation is large enough. Give Herbert the Faith at the Crossroads to open the Barracks.

Build the Barracks and take the Port

Herbert asks for Barracks quality 12 and one Magic bell. At an anvil, combine 1 Blood with 1 Bronze Ingot for the bell. Keep Blood from an autopsy rather than spending every body part as soon as you collect it. Each Barricade I adds 2 Barracks quality. Paying the four mercenaries for the next fight adds 8 together, so two barricades plus the paid mercenaries meet the 12-quality requirement; without them, you need six barricades. Check the number shown at the Barracks before reporting to Herbert.

The barricades are the longer material chain. For each one, prepare 2 Reinforced Planks, 6 Bronze Nails and 2 Short Logs. Reinforced Planks use Oiled Planks and Bronze Details. To get Melted Fat for the oil, follow Jully’s Village lead through the cellar under your house, meet Albert in the underground laboratory, and unlock Alchemy, Distillation. His Distillation Cube turns Fat and Clay Plates into Melted Fat. If the Barricade technology is still hidden after reaching 20 reputation with Herbert, reopen the technology tree and check its Bronze Forge prerequisite.

Once both Barracks requests are complete, meet Herbert in front of the Barracks. Equip a sword and armor before speaking to him. The first Port battle asks for 12 total power and one squad; a bow alone does not satisfy the equipment check. During the fight, use the squad banner to move your troops, hold the marked positions and keep the zombies away from your base. Losing lets you return to Herbert and retry. After the win, cross the bridge east of the battlefield. Jack meets you on the Port side and leads you toward the Town Warehouse.

At the Port: workers, supplies and Jack’s workshop

Open the Astrologer’s Tower and talk to Gunter about his zombies and Tarot Cards. Linda has the cards at the Dockside Club. She first wants the old shop beside the club restored through Safe Harbor. Finish the shop and report to her, then carry the cards back to Gunter and choose Take zombies once his reputation requirement is met. His first ready-made workers arrive at your home after the delivery. Assign one to a workstation and a supplier where materials need moving; new workers made from corpses require the separate Resurrection Lab, collar, Reanimation Liquid and Faith.

Visit the Town Warehouse with Jack as soon as the Port opens. His iron order is a packed crate on a warehouse pallet, not loose Iron Ingots in your bag. Take the order on Pride day and allow the next Pride-day accounting to count the pallet. Iron Forge unlocks the crate recipe: 6 Iron Ingots, 4 Boards and 8 Bronze Nails. Pack it at a Woodworking Workbench. Start it as soon as the Warehouse opens, since the weekly accounting makes it a wait even when the crate is ready. Winning the Market Square fight then opens his Town Workshop. Clear its zombies, speak to him, and deliver 5 Building Kit I plus 5 Wooden Kit I in separate hand-ins. The completed repair is one of the steps that takes Jack to 60 reputation, which Gunter’s PR Agreement later requires.

Continue Gunter’s other requests alongside the workshop. After the first workers, a sermon deliberately triggers Congregation Trouble and his zombie limit problem. Buy his Hypno-device, charge it with 1 Faith at a Formulation Bench, test it through another sermon, and use the PR Machine on Gluttony day to support a larger workforce. Print the requested Poetry Book at the Printing Press using a Blank Softcover Notebook, 2 Ink and a gold-quality Story. Gunter then gives you a PR Agreement. Jack signs at 60 reputation after his workshop is restored; take the Signed PR Agreement back to Gunter. If he will not discuss the Necronomicon, finish Donkey’s restored-delivery lead, ask Gunter at 20 reputation, then return at 30 after the printing request.

Forest, mine and Swamp access

Jack points toward iron in the Forest, but the Forest Outpost guards require a pass. Ask Januarius at the Village Tavern to call Jully. Repair the Royal Postbox beside the tavern, collect its Temporary Head of the Village Certificate, and bring that document back to Jully. Ask for the Forest Pass and show it to the outpost guards. The temporary certificate by itself does not open the checkpoint.

Two bandits in the Forest control the Old Mine and the bridge south to the Swamp. For the mine, bring Larry a Simple Candle, finish his impersonation of their dead leader, and collect the Dynamite the bandits give you. Use it on the mine blockage. The clearance requires Building mastery 8. The Swamp bridge is a separate job: pay a 5-silver fine at the Village Royal Postbox, refill it with 3 Ink, and take the Royal Pardon. Summon the Fairy at your home Kitchen Table with Dream Dust, a Comet’s Tail and a Tooth to get the Fairy’s Swamp Map. Hand both the pardon and map to the bandits. Carrying just one leaves the bridge closed.

The Fairy encounter also leads to Donkey’s dispute with Agatha. Ask Agatha at the Crossroads about it, raise Graveyard quality to 20 and repair the Crossroads Manhole with 2 Polished Bronze and 4 Polished Stone. Tell her the work is done, then tell Donkey he can resume deliveries. Her later Brawns and Brains requests improve future bodies: 2 Wooden Kit I and 2 Stone Kit for the first tier, followed by 2 Furniture Kit I and 2 Building Kit I for the next. Keep useful red-skull bodies for workers rather than assuming every corpse belongs in a grave.

Cross the Swamp bridge and follow the Fairy to the Heart of the Swamp. The Goddess encounter opens Jully’s election problem and Larry’s portal lead. Ask Larry and then Gunter about the portal while you work on the other character lines.

Finish the Port character lines and win the Village election

The election needs final agreements from Herbert at 60 reputation, Linda at 60 and Gunter at 50. Start the request by talking to Jully and Januarius at the Village Tavern after the Goddess encounter. The three agreements ask Herbert to secure the vote, Linda to provide the polling place and Gunter to run the PR campaign. Opening their conversations is insufficient; go back when each character’s reputation reaches the final number.

Person Work that supplies the missing reputation
Herbert, 60 Finish the early Graveyard and Port requests; clear the southern districts; recover his Love Novel through Davy’s sewer fight; help Agatha build a Choir and hold a sermon with it
Linda, 60 Restore and paint the Port shop, obtain Albert’s violin with Lacquer, bring incense, hold the Dockside Club concert on Lust day, then finish her Albert follow-ups
Gunter, 50 Return the Tarot Cards, complete the Hypno-device sermon, print his poetry, bring Jack’s signed PR Agreement and finish the Donkey/Necronomicon lead

Davy is at the Dockside Club. Herbert’s Love Novel comes after Sewer Brawl I and a Key for Looters hand-in to Davy. Sewer fights use squad power without barricades or towers. The eastern district asks for 12 power and then 20, the Market Square fight asks for 22 with two squads, and the central districts rise to 36 and then 56. Check the next fight’s entry screen before spending materials on more defenses; the sewer’s first and second fights ask for 8 and 24 with squads alone.

Agatha’s Choir line follows the restored corpse deliveries and her writing-supply request. Once the Choir is built, run a ceremony with it active and report to Herbert.

Linda’s last requests run through Albert. Buy Simple Incense from the Trade Master, bring him Lacquer for the violin and hold the Dockside Club concert on Lust day. His later lab request needs an 8-red-skull zombie on the special table. A bronze collar can hold only five red skulls. The quest provides two Golden Zombie Collars and two Reanimation Liquids for the 8-skull hand-in. After the concert, give Linda a notebook, ask Albert twice about her visit once he reaches 50 reputation, then sleep and talk to both. If a reputation total stops short, open that person’s Story Tree column and look for the unfinished hand-in rather than waiting for another day.

Return to the Tavern when all three election agreements are complete. Finish the vote, speak to Jack and Agatha before leaving, and complete the exit conversation. The election opens Jully’s 100-Faith Goddess ritual and the next major quests from Jack, Linda and Agatha. Start saving Faith for Jully as soon as regular sermons are available.

Royal Foundry, Factory and the first five fragments

Jack’s water-tunnel lead and Linda’s refugee request both start with the western floodgate battle. Herbert then opens the two eastern floodgate fights and the breakthrough into the Bathhouse Basement. The Bishop is in the Royal Foundry beyond it. Ask him about the magic portal after Gunter has pointed you there. His mirror starts the fragment hunt. The Bishop also sells Steel Ingots: bring 3 to Jack, then raise your Factory rating to 20 for his Factory Tour. Those two tasks take Jack from 60 to the 80 reputation needed for his fragment.

The western floodgate fight asks for three squads and 56 power; the two eastern fights ask for 80, and the Bathhouse Basement asks for 96. Linda’s A Cure for Wellness opens Operation POTATO after the western floodgate, with 72 power listed for its fights. Agatha’s Notorious Nun leads through Still Standing on Stilts to the 64-power Battle at the Lake. Win that battle to reach Harold and his Special Wood in the Stilt Houses. Most of these Town fights wait for Sloth day, but the Bathhouse Basement can be started on any day.

Reach the Factory through a cleared cellar passage under the Inquisition Base. Repair a Zombie Carousel and staff it to generate power, then assign another worker to a production station. Unlock Conveyors and Assembly bench, join the bench to the belt network and select a recipe the worker can perform. A short first line makes Wooden Kit I from a Log and Bronze Nails. The Carousel’s worker supplies power; a repaired but empty Carousel will not run a belt. For Jack’s rating 20, extend a powered line until the Factory display reaches 20. The Bioreactor later makes Zombie Power for the Bishop: one base batch gives 1 Zombie Power for 5 Wheat.

Powered conveyor production and zombie workers in an official Graveyard Keeper 2 screenshot

Fragment Where to get it
Sloth Give the Bishop 3 Zombie Power at the Royal Foundry. Three base Bioreactor batches use 15 Wheat.
Gluttony Ask Gunter about his portal piece after the Bishop’s mirror conversation.
Lust Buy it from the Trade Master at the Main Pier for 1 gold on Lust day.
Envy After installing Lust and clearing the ship lock through Operation POTATO, search the debris in its drained Sluice Area.
Pride Ask Jack at 60 reputation, then complete his steel delivery and Factory Tour to reach 80 for the handover.

Install fragments at the portal in the Astrologer’s Tower as you receive them. Placing Lust opens the Envy and Pride searches; merely clearing the ship lock earlier does not reveal Envy. After all five listed pieces are installed, the mirror points to Wrath back at the Inquisition Base.

Find the Old God and choose what to do with the Red Eye

Give Jully 100 Faith after the Village election and finish his Goddess ritual in the Swamp. The Goddess sends you toward the Old God. Speak to Davy at the Dockside Club, then meet him by the sewer entrance near the Town’s west gate. Follow his men to the former cheese-cellar wall in the Sewers. With that search advanced and Lust installed, sleep at home for Dig’s visit and the Red Eye. Take the eye to the wall to open the cellar and talk to the Old God.

Choice at the cellar What you must do next Reputation needed from each of the six helpers
Give the Red Eye back Use the Old God’s prayer in a Church sermon, then ask all three pairs to help; sleep for his follow-up 90
Keep the Red Eye Build the attic at home, finish the six personal gifts, buy three Dark talents, sleep for their dreams and deliver three more gifts 100

The keep-eye choice appears only after you ask the Old God all seven available questions. Its attic costs 16 Wooden Planks, 8 Iron Details and 6 Carved Stone. Both routes reach the same Palace and final Go or Stay choice. If you keep the eye, the Old God offers a later change of mind before the final battle appears; giving it back switches the pair requests to 90 reputation. The Dark talents already bought do not refund their points.

Bring the six friends to the portal

After the election, each pair has work that takes its members toward 80 reputation. Jack needs his Factory Tour and Pride handover, while Gunter asks for 100 Likes. Agatha and Herbert need Church quality 50 and an Organ built from 4 Special Wood and 6 Steel Details after Church Music II. Hold a sermon with a worker playing it, then complete Agatha’s Crossroads house work and Herbert’s 5 Steel Armor. Linda and Albert need Town quality 100 and Albert’s cure. The cure follows the western floodgate and Operation POTATO battles: give the refugees 3 Steel Shovels, carry their 3 Potatoes to Linda, then finish Albert’s conversation. Keep those three Potatoes for this request. Do not eat or sell them; you cannot buy or grow replacements.

Rest after each pair’s late favors and visit them at the Main Pier, Agatha’s Crossroads house or the Dockside Club. Their personal quest supplies two final hand-ins. Complete both for each pair to reach 90, then ask for help if you returned the eye:

Pair Personal hand-ins and materials
Jack and Gunter Jack’s Prosthetic Hand: Engineering Details ×1, Steel Screws ×1, Special Wood ×1. Gunter’s Small Printing Press: Engineering Details ×2, Steel Screws ×1. Make both at the Steel Anvil.
Agatha and Herbert Herbert’s Trilogy: 3 Blank Hardcover Notebooks, 3 Ink and 3 gold-quality Stories at the Printing Press. Agatha’s Speech Writing Device: Engineering Details ×1, Steel Screws ×2 at the Steel Anvil. The gifts raise the other member’s reputation, so complete both.
Linda and Albert Linda’s Chocolate: 4 Cacao at Kitchen Table II. Albert’s request: 10 Alchemy Flasks II, made from Alchemy Flasks I at a Furnace.

Once you win the Battle at the Lake, repair Harold’s timber machine in the Stilt Houses with 2 Building Kit I and 1 Iron Kit II. He then sells the Special Wood for the Organ and Jack’s Prosthetic Hand at 1 silver each. The Trilogy needs three gold-quality Stories, not lower-quality copies. Upgrade Town shops until the Town quality display reaches 100 for Gunter and Linda. Gunter’s 100-Likes goal cannot be met while Town quality caps Likes below it.

If you intend to keep the eye, meet the Old God before delivering the last of the six personal gifts. After all six are handed in, speak to him in the attic about the characters and unlock the three Dark talents. Each talent costs one blue talent point and leads to a dream after sleeping; only one dream plays per night. The dreams request an Elegant Prosthetic Hand for Jack (2 Engineering Details, 2 Steel Screws, 2 Special Wood), a Comfortable Chair for the Crossroads pair (3 Special Wood, 3 Steel Screws) and Luxury Drapes for Albert (20 Lace). Those deliveries add the last 10 reputation to both members of each pair. For the chair, check both Herbert and Agatha at the Crossroads if the first hand-in is unavailable; the quest descriptions disagree about its recipient. Ask each pair for help again once both people show 100 reputation.

Wrath, Davy’s Palace route and the final battle

Install the first five fragments, clear the newly marked debris at the Inquisition Base to get Wrath, and insert it at Gunter’s portal. Ask Davy about the Palace at the Dockside Club and pay him 50 silver. Return home, then leave through the front door for his briefing. After Davy’s briefing, confirm that Jack and Gunter, Herbert and Agatha, and Linda and Albert have agreed to come. If you returned the Red Eye, sleep once more for the Old God’s visit.

When The Last Battle appears, go to the guards’ post and finish Larry’s conversation. The Final Battle lists four squads and needs at least 144 total power. Most later Town battles start on Sloth day, including this one. Bring equipped sword and armor, check the fight’s marked positions and protect your base while the squads hold the zombies. Losing allows another attempt; the battle victory itself does not finish the portal.

After winning, follow Davy’s hidden route into the Palace. The door opens with the retained eye or the Old God’s help, depending on your choice. The meeting with the other Keeper gives you Greed, the seventh fragment. Return to the Astrologer’s Tower and insert Greed. The portal completion achievement unlocks before the final Go or Stay answer. Choose Stay if you want to continue playing after the credits. Go returns to the main menu; sleep before this last trip if you want a recent save, since the documented Go route does not save at the ending.
