Follow the gold campaign quests through Poeta and Verteron, complete your Ascension quests when they unlock, and use nearby green regional quests when the campaign leaves you short of progress. The Elyos route below takes you from the opening escape to level 45, the Ardus Shrine trial, and Diverging Paths. Reaching 45 does not finish every quest: Until I Hold You Again, Draupnir, and the Abyss remain relevant afterward.
This October 2026 walkthrough follows the English PC Elyos campaign in AION 2. Quest names follow the English PC interface. This route covers the Elyos quests; it does not cover the Asmodian opening or class-specific combat rotations.
Poeta: the escape, Daminu, and your first Ascension
The prologue begins before the main character-customization screen. Follow the escape objectives through the prison and the confrontation with Ishtar. When customization opens, finish your appearance and name, then resume the escape. You will reach Nania and the early Poeta campaign as a level 1 character.

Take The Approaching Dawn and Making Yourself Useful through their NPC conversations and errands. These lead into the Daminu story. Equip the early quest rewards from the Cube as you receive them; carrying a new weapon in your inventory does not put it in your weapon slot.
At Daminu, follow Withered Tree Daminu toward Clione Lake. The next campaign quest, The Power in the Lake, sends you into Clione Lake Cave. Inside, destroy the three Balaur Watchstones requested by the tracker before finishing the Lake Guardian encounter. If the objective still shows a partial Watchstone count, return to the remaining marked stone instead of leaving after the boss.
The cave introduces Stagger. Skills that deal Stagger damage reduce the boss’s Stagger points, and emptying those points staggers it. Read the descriptions of the skills your class has unlocked rather than trying to copy the Gladiator’s buttons. Once the cave objectives are complete, finish the conversation with Asahr.
The One Who Perceives is the first Ascension. Follow Asahr through the dream sequence and its final conversation. After returning, the campaign moves to Fledgling Wings at Daminu. Take that quest before treating the newly available wings as a shortcut around the next story objective.
The following island route includes Shattered Sky Island and Search Preparation. Use the indicated updraft during the island section, then carry out the supply search involving Hithanya and Caelid. The supply objective asks you to search the Drakana Kobold Supply Chests. Search the requested chests, watch the collection counter fill, and finish the report.
Verteron and the first leveling gaps
After the Poeta departure, join the Dawn Legion route in Verteron. The early campaign runs through All Geared Up, Odyle Collection, Bird’s-eye View, and Valley of Hope. Keep the campaign selected in the Journal when taking green quests nearby, so a regional errand does not become the only objective you are following.
Bird’s-eye View involves the Dratona egg objective. In Valley of Hope, enter the Coastal Cave and inspect the corpse and its letter. Return to the Coastal Camp to report what you found. The campaign then develops your flight and dream progression through Soaring Free and Visions in Smoke.
If the next campaign or Ascension objective is unavailable, distinguish a character-level requirement from the Ascension Gauge beneath the minimap. Read the gauge’s prerequisite list and finish any earlier campaign report it names. When the current gold quest says it unlocks at 100% gauge, add regional quests or a Sealed Dungeon to earn the missing progress, then complete the Ascension quest. That gold quest is waiting for Ascension; it cannot be finished first.
For the early experience gaps, the nearby green quest at Coastal Camp around level 12 and another at Marsh Legion Campsite around level 14 provide useful detours. Once the requirement is met, resume the gold quest instead of clearing the remaining regional icons.
Open Daevanion as it becomes available and spend the points and crystals required by the nodes you choose. The board shows its starting level and each node’s acquisition requirements. If a node refuses to unlock, inspect those requirements before spending elsewhere to reach it. A highlighted node is not necessarily purchasable with the points currently available.
The next stretch goes through Illusion Cavaliers, Collapsed Barrier Tower, and the dream-related investigation. Continue the campaign until Dreaming of Paradise leads into the search for High Priestess Reda. Complete the reports in this chain before setting out to investigate Reda.
Krall transformation and the ruined fortress
Transformation Prep introduces a prerequisite that is easy to overlook: use the Language Artifact to learn the language before attempting the transformation-related work. Follow the conversations with Cecilia and the other marked NPCs, then carry out the Krall infiltration objectives. Ione warns that moving too far from the spell’s casting location or getting hit cancels the transformation, so avoid unnecessary fights while disguised. If a disguise objective is not advancing, check whether you completed the Language Artifact and transformation conversations.
The Reda investigation continues through the illusion-relic story and Forgotten Faith in the Verteron Fortress Ruins. Stay with the campaign reports between these sections. The return conversations are what hand you the next objective, even when the field combat is already finished.
By Daeva in a Dream, the next important obstacle is your second Ascension. The relevant campaign stage is level 22. If the Ascension Gauge is below 100%, nearby regional work can close the gap. Options on this part of the route include Sneaky Darkan at Dundu’s Rest, Closure at Valley Outpost, and Searching for Escaped Fossa at Dawn Legion Base.
You can also earn progress through a Sealed Dungeon. Deep Underground Cave appears on this route before the second Ascension. Complete the dungeon’s own objective and collect its chest before returning to the Ascension quest. After collecting the chest, reopen the Ascension quest to see whether its progress requirement is met.
The One Who Hears the Voice
Finish Illusion Oratory to reach the level 22 campaign quest Daeva in a Dream. If its objective says it unlocks when the Ascension Gauge reaches 100%, earn the remaining gauge progress through the regional quests or dungeon above. You complete Daeva in a Dream through this Ascension sequence. Once the gauge is full, press J, select the Ascension tab, choose The One Who Hears the Voice, and use Teleport at the bottom right. Confirm the “Go to the quest area?” prompt when it appears. This takes you to Dream Crossroad; looking for a normal world-map marker can leave you searching in the wrong place.
Speak to Asahr beside the mirror. Complete the Dream Guardian fights and collect the fragment requested by the quest, then activate the Dream Artifact. Continue through the audience with Siel and finish Asahr’s dialogue. The sequence ends with an Ascension completion message and a confirmation prompt to leave the dream.
The rewards include one Stigma Shard, access to Pantheon, and Intermediate Daeva Wings. Claim the wings reward in the Cube, then open Wings in the character menu to equip them. If the old wings are still equipped after the quest, check for the unclaimed reward instead of replaying the dream.
Once you are back in Verteron, restore the gold campaign as your tracked objective. The next campaign objective continues the Reda investigation in Verteron.
Wind Breeze, the Root Cellar, and the road to level 32
Continue the search involving Reda and the Shugo merchant Bao, then follow the campaign into the Wind Breeze and Aullaeu story. The journey includes The Weapon’s Owner and the search for the missing Shugo. Keep reporting to the named quest NPCs when the tracker changes from a kill or collection counter to a conversation.
During Shugo in the Cellar, the campaign directs you to the Root Cellar. Follow the cellar’s enemy and door objectives, defeat Gatekeeper Pinopi and the Root Totem Shaman, free Kochi, and follow the escape route. Complete Kochi’s conversation outside. Opening a cage or reaching the cellar entrance is only part of the sequence. The tracker must advance through the cellar encounter before you move on to Exiled Aullaeu.
The next connected quests include Holyaul Rescue Op and Aulamus’s Key. At this point, Side Effects of Transformation is a useful regional detour near the abandoned Wind Breeze office. Take it from the Suspicious Aullaeu, complete its Giant Sparkles objective, and return for the reward before resuming the key quest.
Secrets Altar leads into Secrets Within Secrets. Follow the conversations with Caelid, Phernos, Kochi, and Bao as directed, including the visit to Wind Breeze Merchants’ Headquarters. The final report to Nania matters: visiting the headquarters without finishing the campaign report leaves the chain unfinished.
Regional tasks around the headquarters can also help if your character is short of the next level. Check for the newly available green quests after the campaign visit. Urugugu Canyon, meanwhile, is an Expedition detour. After the party instance, finish any outstanding report in Secrets Within Secrets.
An Uneasy Alliance moves the story into the western Altamia area. Complete the meetings and the search involving Dymones before heading into the next Ascension stretch. If you need additional progress around level 32, Too Far Gone in Zumion Village and Questionable Methods around Verteron Fortress Ruins are useful regional options.
Too Far Gone involves Renegade Daeva Ordix at Rocky Tomb Hill. Finish the encounter and return to Rodelos with the recovered belongings.
Another Dream and the Zumion relics
Another Dream leads to the next Ascension sequence, The One Who Dreams. If Ascension is still unavailable, check the gauge’s requirements and use the regional options above to earn any missing progress. Complete the Ascension quest to advance the waiting campaign stage. In the Forgotten Battlefield, defeat the required Drakan Specter targets and finish the encounter with Narun. Talk to him afterward, then complete the remaining dream conversations with Asahr. Return to the campaign when the sequence ends.
The story then investigates the canyon, the ancient barrier, and Zumion’s temple. Follow Barrier Traces through the marked tablet and barrier interactions, including Phernos’s conversation through Selvis. Selvis lets the story conversation happen remotely; an objective that asks you to talk through Selvis does not require searching every settlement for Phernos.
Between Faith and Doubt leads to Headless Statue at the Destroyed Temple Site. Clear the wandering souls, then examine the Calliste, Agathon, and Estian Statues in the ruined temple grounds. The damaged statues cannot yet hold a proper conversation. Finish the report to Luteros to begin Priests of Zumion.
Read all three Healing Monoliths: Sacrifice, Declaration of Resistance, and Oath of the Seal. Luteros points out one nearby and two on the sides of the temple grounds. Report their contents to him before collecting the restoration materials.
| Material | Required | Where to obtain it |
|---|---|---|
| Ashen Kalgolem Fragment | 8 | Defeat Ashen Kalgolem in the Destroyed Temple Site. |
| Essence from the Furious Knight’s Corpse | 2 | Defeat the enemies named Furious Knight’s Corpse in the same ruins. |
| Statue Head Fragment | 3 | Retrieve the marked fragments among the temple ruins. |
The corpse objective names an enemy to defeat; it is separate from picking up the statue fragments. Finish all three collection counters, return the materials to Luteros, and report the restoration to Phernos at the Alert Observation Post.
Fragmented Tale starts with another clearing task. Destroy eight Wandering Knight’s Armor targets and two Altamia Highland Ruins Devices around the Destroyed Temple Site, then answer Luteros through Selvis. Repairing the statues alone does not unlock their full conversations.
Return to the hooded stone statues you examined during Headless Statue, on their pedestals among the ruined arches. Use Zumion’s Mace to resonate with the Calliste Statue and Agathon Statue first. The next objective then asks for the Estian Statue. Check the name on each interaction rather than relying on their similar appearance. Finish the conversation with Luteros after all three have spoken.
In Zumion’s Ward, leave the Destroyed Temple Site for the Ancient Zumion Temple Site below the ruins. Look for Nania beside the broad circular stone floor between the tall temple pillars. Talk to her and finish the party’s incantation sequence to enter Zumion Relic Storage.
Clear the encounter with Incarnated Warding Feather and obtain the relic. After returning outside, talk to Nania first, then take the Warding Feather to Phernos at the Alert Observation Post. His final report completes the quest.
The next campaign work moves to the Hill of Purification. If you need a regional quest here around level 36, take Price of Bravado and finish its report to Belorin. To New Beginnings becomes another nearby option as the campaign progresses. Use these tasks to bridge a progress gap, then return to Gustino’s gold quest.
Purification, Nahid Brigade Fortress, and the Disposal Plant
Follow Purifying Flame and Perilous Purification through the conversations with Gustino and Phernos. Gustino explains that purification powder from the Guardite and vine-bundle roots are burned in the brazier to weaken the toxic aura. Finish these objectives and the threats he asks you to eliminate.
Next, take Activating Altar Purification Devices. Collect nine Mana Conduits from Contaminated Guardite and three Weak Odyle Auras in the Contaminated Sanctum. Activate all three devices: the Left Altar Purification Device, Central Altar Purification Device, and Right Altar Purification Device. Each has its own objective, so check that all three are complete before returning to Gustino. Continue with Path to the Altar and destroy the three Contamination Clots before finishing its report.
Meslamtaeda’s Poison connects the purification story to the next operation. Finish the discussions with Gustino and Caelid and continue the campaign until it directs you toward Nahid Brigade Fortress. You will use the remaining poison during the Drana plantation work, so keep following the campaign’s item and interaction prompts.
Where the Drana Flows begins the investigation of the Balaur base and its disposal facilities. Speak to the marked Kobold workers to learn about the plantation, then inject poison into three Drana Sprouts. The tracker displays this as a three-part counter. Once it is complete, share the plantation information and finish the report to Kepillia.
Travel to the Scarlet Forest for To the Scarlet Forest. In Sowing Seeds of Chaos, carry out the Drana Injector objectives with Nania and finish the report to Sthen. The following Notos Legion Makeover work calls for a Balaur language manual and another Language Artifact interaction. Complete the language step before attempting the next disguised operation.
Power Tower Sabotage sends you after the plantation’s power infrastructure. Caelid’s instruction is to destroy the tower and get out. During the conversation with the Drana Overseer, inspect the nearby Power Tower User Manual, then wait beside Nania for her signal. When she calls out, interact with the Power Tower Control Device at the tower’s base. The Power Tower Alarm Devices around it are separate objects. Clear the guards requested by the tracker, let the sabotage sequence finish, and return to Kepillia after the explosion.
Next, Thorough Preparation and Striving for a Purpose keep the diversion going. The latter includes Plantation Kobold Laborers and a Drana Watch Scout before the return to Notos Legion Outpost. Finish all the tracker entries before taking Unpleasant Memories into the fortress.
In A Balaur’s Trash is a Daeva’s Treasure, enter the Nahid Disposal Plant, inspect the broken Sura objectives, and clear the encounter with Modified Bargott. The campaign then returns to the party’s conversations. If you have defeated the plant’s enemies but the next quest has not appeared, finish the investigation and report rather than starting another Expedition.
Time Takes Its Toll brings you back to Reda and the Enraged Reda encounter. Finish that sequence and the subsequent conversations in A Means to an End. The party’s next destination is the Garden of the Illusion God.
Garden of the Illusion God and Ardus Shrine
Enter the Garden through the campaign and take Pilgrims of the Garden. Speak to the pilgrims and complete the investigation of the vines before finishing Another Rift. The follow-up, Memories of the Garden, directs you to the garden’s illusion monoliths and their records.
For The Path of Pilgrimage, first report Dorian’s disappearance to Nestor and speak to Dioni after he wakes. Collect four Illusion Tree’s Essences from beneath the lush purple trees in the garden, then return to Dioni so he can refine them. He asks you to recover the pilgrims’ belongings while he works.
| Recovery objective | Required belongings | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Wandering Dark Spirit | 1 | Defeat the marked spirit and recover the swallowed belongings. |
| Wandering Water Spirit | 8 | Fight the marked water spirits and collect their quest drops. |
| Garden Guardian | 6 | Fight the marked guardians and recover the belongings. |
| Pilgrim Corpse | 3 | Interact with the marked corpses to retrieve the belongings. |
Recovering belongings from corpses completes only one of these objectives. Finish the spirit and guardian counters as well, then return to Dioni. The refined Essence is needed for the following brazier offerings.
A green quest, Destroyed Monument, runs alongside this part of the campaign. Take it from Marwell if you want to restore the monument while working in the same area. Examine the monument, read the Old Document, and discuss its records with Marwell to unlock his material objectives. Keep Dioni’s gold campaign quest tracked alongside it.
In Sacred Offering, use the refined Essence at four braziers in order: Message Brazier, Oath Brazier, Seal Brazier, then Faith Brazier. Each offering advances the gold quest to the next named brazier. After the Faith Brazier, talk to Caelid through Selvis.
If you also accepted Destroyed Monument, collect ten Earth Spirit’s rocks from Wandering Earth Spirits, five Wind Spirit’s crystals from Wandering Wind Spirits, and two additional Illusion Tree’s Essences. Deliver them to Marwell, then interact with the Destroyed Illusion God Monument for the restoration ritual. These green quest materials do not replace any of the four Sacred Offering interactions.
Finish the report to Dioni, then continue the party’s shrine preparations. In The Core of Illusion God, enter Ardus Shrine for Kaisinel’s trial. Fight Kaisinel’s Illusion while watching the floor around him. One attack marks broad red sectors with narrow unmarked gaps between them. Move into an unmarked gap before the attack lands; backing straight away from the boss can leave you inside another red sector. Resume attacking when the marked attack has resolved, and watch for the next floor pattern.
The fight leads into an audience with Kaisinel. Finish that dialogue and Phernos’s report instead of leaving as soon as combat stops. The completion message for The Core of Illusion God confirms that the trial and its conversations are finished. You can then continue Diverging Paths.
You can reach level 45 during the garden quests before the shrine trial. Keep following the gold chain even if the level-up has already occurred. Finish Diverging Paths through the party conversations after returning from the shrine. This is the stopping point for the Poeta-to-45 campaign route described here.
What to finish after level 45
Before leaving the garden story behind, complete Until I Hold You Again if it is available. The quest returns to Reda’s bracelet and sends you into Penitent Altar. Absorb the required Hazy Apparitions, complete the subsequent bracelet and Reda conversations, and finish Nania’s report.
Dymones also introduces the Abyss and the Draupnir route. Speak to Paitos and follow the Draupnir objectives separately from the completed Diverging Paths chain. The Abyss portal to Latesran Western Root displays an item-level requirement of 1,000 in this route. If that portal refuses entry, character level 45 alone is not enough; raise your item level before trying that destination again.
For party dungeons, open Expedition and select the destination you actually need. Krao Cave, Urugugu Canyon, Fire Temple, and Draupnir appear along the leveling journey, but their party clears do not automatically finish every nearby campaign conversation. After a clear, collect the Odyle Energy Cube when offered and return to the outstanding quest report.
Keep the Revelation Amulet and Noble Belt when sorting the Cube after these quests; both remain useful for later progression. Revisit unfinished regional quests, Sealed Dungeons, and the Verteron Monolith as you work on your next equipment goal.
At the Verteron Monolith, synchronize the Empyrean Traces you have collected and inspect the available reward milestones. Collecting traces in the field and claiming a monolith reward are separate actions. If a reward is still unavailable, check its trace requirement before returning to hunt for the remaining collectibles.
