To reach a particular ending room in Momento, choose two mementos for the same next room, then finish the room in Story Mode. The Cot Room’s plush toy chooses your childhood bedroom. Two later sets of three choices steer you through the middle rooms, and one final choice leads to one of six ending rooms.
Unlock new rooms in Story Mode. Wall of Memories lets you revisit rooms you have already reached to collect missed mementos and puzzles. Finishing a Wall replay returns you to the Wall, so it cannot advance the story into an unvisited room.

Routes to the six ending rooms
Start each row at the Cot Room. These routes visit all three childhood bedrooms, all three teenage rooms, and all three adult rooms as well as the six ending rooms. The chapter titles in the first column identify the original ending-room scenes.
| Ending room and chapter title | Story route after the Cot Room | Last branching choice |
|---|---|---|
| Antique Detective Mirror Image |
Teddy bedroom, Dad’s Place, Off-The-Grid | Compass |
| Coach Room Celebration |
Teddy bedroom, Dad’s Place, Off-The-Grid | Soccer ball |
| Greenhouse Opening Pandora’s Box |
Unicorn bedroom, Mum’s Place, Svalbard Apartment | Potted purple flowers |
| Artist Studio On Femininity |
Unicorn bedroom, Mum’s Place, Svalbard Apartment | Framed photograph |
| Space Station Zero Gravity |
Dinosaur bedroom, Tyler and James’s Place, Doctor’s Loft | Astronaut figure |
| Rural Rescue Midday Nap |
Dinosaur bedroom, Tyler and James’s Place, Doctor’s Loft | Old radio |
Each pair of rows shares its middle route and changes the last item. If you have reached Space Station and still need Rural Rescue, keep the Dinosaur, Tyler and James, and Doctor route for your next life, then choose the radio in Doctor’s Loft. Replaying Doctor’s Loft from the Wall will return you to the Wall and leave an unvisited Rural Rescue locked.
Opening golden boxes and confirming a room
If a golden box is locked, select it and follow the glowing vine to its clue. Inspect the object at the other end, then return to the box. A note, photograph, or book may need to be read before the choice appears. Simply moving it onto a shelf can leave the lock closed. The vine remains visible after hovering over a box, making its clue easier to find.

In the original Cot Room layout, inspect Baby Built a Rocketship! to open the plush choice. Follow the vine when your layout differs from this one. Once the three toy icons appear, select the dinosaur, teddy bear, or unicorn and confirm it. The toy determines the matching childhood bedroom.

Choosing a memento can create extra objects to unpack and related puzzles to solve. Make the choice before hunting for that set of props. The counter beside the box icon shows how many choices you have made in the current room. It does not show how many of those choices point to the same destination.
When you are ready to advance, use the glowing star at the lower right and accept the Level Complete prompt. The route map then shows the next room. Make all intended memento choices before confirming the room; leave optional puzzle cleanup for a later Wall visit if you want to unlock rooms first.
Two childhood choices decide your teenage room
Each childhood bedroom has six possible mementos, with three chosen during a visit. The next room follows the majority: two choices for the same path are enough. Decide whether you need Mum, Dad, or Tyler and James before opening the boxes.
| Childhood bedroom | Next room | Choose both mementos |
|---|---|---|
| Dinosaur or Unicorn | Mum’s Place | Ms. Googly Eyes (the potted plant) + dollhouse |
| Teddy or Unicorn | Dad’s Place | Knight figure + soccer ball |
| Dinosaur or Teddy | Tyler and James’s Place | Ant farm + solar system mobile |
Choose each item in the pair when its box offers it. After those two choices, the third cannot change your destination. Ms. Googly Eyes is the potted plant with eyes on its pot. The two mobiles need care: the solar system mobile leads to Tyler and James; the airplane mobile in the Teddy bedroom leads to Dad.
The Dinosaur bedroom connects to Mum or Tyler and James, the Teddy bedroom to Dad or Tyler and James, and the Unicorn bedroom to Mum or Dad. To visit Tyler and James, start with the dinosaur or teddy. The unicorn branch has no direct path to their room.

A Dinosaur bedroom visit, from 0/3 to Tyler and James
In the original Dinosaur bedroom, A Curious Mind, the rocket-shaped bookcase stands between the bed and desk. The golden boxes are beside the school report card on the wall, on the bedside table, and on the carpet in front of the bookcase. To reach Tyler and James from this room:
- Inspect the clue for the wall box. In this layout, reading Baby Built a Rocketship!, near the backpack by the bed, opens it. The box offers a solar system mobile or a dreamcatcher. Choose the mobile and confirm. The mobile appears, and the choice counter changes from 0/3 to 1/3.
- Open the bedside box, following its vine and reading its clue first if it is still locked. Its choices are the ant farm and Ms. Googly Eyes. Select the ant farm. The counter becomes 2/3, and the farm and related props become available. Both chosen mementos now point to Tyler and James.
- For the carpet box, inspect The Loneliest Allosaurus in the Cretaceous Period, the dinosaur book by the bottom of the rocket bookcase. Choose the dinosaur playset instead of the dollhouse. The playset appears on the floor and the counter becomes 3/3.
- Finish any puzzles you want to complete now, then select the star and accept Level Complete. The next room on this route is Tyler and James’s Place, whose original chapter title is Atticus.
All three choices in this example point to Tyler and James. Choosing the dollhouse in the third box would still leave the mobile and ant farm as a two-to-one majority for that room. You can use the third choice to collect a memento from the other path once your intended pair is secured. Keep following the clue vines if an alternate layout moves these boxes or books.
The next majority chooses your adult room
Dad’s Place, Mum’s Place, and Tyler and James’s Place each give you another three choices. Two matching choices decide the next room here too. Dad connects to Off-The-Grid or Doctor’s Loft; Mum connects to Off-The-Grid or Svalbard; Tyler and James connects to Svalbard or Doctor’s Loft.
| Teenage room | Adult room | Choose both mementos |
|---|---|---|
| Dad or Mum | Off-The-Grid | Chess piece + gramophone |
| Mum or Tyler and James | Svalbard Apartment | Camera + pressed-flower book |
| Dad or Tyler and James | Doctor’s Loft | Microscope + drinking bird |
Continue the Dinosaur route by choosing the microscope and drinking bird at Tyler and James’s Place. Finish that room to reach Doctor’s Loft, where the astronaut and old radio split the path into Space Station and Rural Rescue. You need a fresh two-choice majority in the teenage room.
Room names in the tables describe the setting, while a chapter card may use a story title. Mum’s room appears as Epiphyte or The Art of Change in different lives. The original adult-room scenes include Stargazing for Off-The-Grid, The Longest Night for Svalbard, and Asystole or Fever for Doctor’s Loft. Early-room variants can have different titles, so a chapter name alone should not replace the room’s memento connections.
If you arrive in an unexpected room, find the first junction where your route differed on the Wall. For example, a Dinosaur start that reaches Mum needs its childhood choices changed to the ant farm and solar system mobile on the next Story Mode life. Switching the final adult-room item cannot take you back to Tyler and James or repair that earlier choice.
Finishing an ending room and beginning another life
In Off-The-Grid, Svalbard, or Doctor’s Loft, open the branching golden box and choose the last item in the route table. Confirm the room through the lower-right star. Check the next room against the ending-room name and chapter title: the astronaut route, for example, should enter Space Station with Zero Gravity.
After finishing the ending room, you return to the seaside room. Inspect the memories, then interact with the golden box to return to the Cot Room for another life. Use this transition to pursue the other ending room on an adult path. Avoid any New Game confirmation that says it will reset your saved data.
A completion plan for the Wall of Memories
Check for locked rooms first, then collect missing choices and puzzles in the rooms you can open:
- Unlock missing ending rooms in Story Mode using the route table. For the second ending on an adult path, repeat that path and change its final branching item. Check that the previously locked ending room is now available on the Wall.
- Revisit unlocked rooms to collect missing mementos and solve the puzzles they produce. Hover over each room and compare Puzzles Found and Momentos Chosen. Opening all six ending rooms does not collect every possible memento in the rooms leading to them.
- Check the layouts you have visited. Select each available room variant on the Wall before deciding that the room is finished. Variants must first be played in Story Mode before they can be selected for a Wall replay.

On a room’s hover card, look at Puzzles Found and Momentos Chosen alongside Level Complete. Choose a room with an unfinished count and note what is missing before entering. If its memento count is incomplete, use the marks on the golden-box choice icons to pick items you have not chosen on previous runs.

When a missing puzzle needs an unchosen memento
Inside a room, open Room Puzzles with the puzzle-piece icon and inspect the unchecked entries. Some puzzles use ordinary unpacked objects; others need the props supplied by a particular memento. For those entries, identify the memento first. If its props are absent, open the corresponding golden box, read its clue, select that memento, and unpack the newly available objects. Then solve the puzzle and check its entry. A hint cannot help you place a prop that has not appeared yet.
For example, suppose the Dinosaur bedroom still has an unfinished ant-farm puzzle, but you chose the plant on your earlier visit and there is no ant farm in the room:
- Enter that bedroom from the Wall and open the box that offers the ant farm and Ms. Googly Eyes. Choose the ant farm, then unpack its props.
- Position the magnifying glass in front of the farm to complete Ha! Made ya look! Another ant-farm puzzle uses the butterfly jar: place that jar on the windowsill.
- Check Room Puzzles for the completed entry before leaving. If it was already ticked when you entered, choose a different unfinished entry instead of repeating it solely for progress.
- Finish through the star and return to the Wall. Compare the card with the counts you noted before entering. A newly chosen ant farm should add to Momentos Chosen; a newly solved puzzle should add to Puzzles Found. Repeating a choice or puzzle you already completed will not collect a new one.
If both counts still have gaps, inspect the remaining choices and puzzle entries before replaying. You may need another visit with a different memento to obtain another set of props. Finishing one Wall visit does not automatically choose the alternatives in every box or solve their puzzles.
Choosing the room variant you need
With the Realities update, the Cot Room has three layouts, and each childhood and teenage room has two. On the Wall, use the arrows beside Select Room to Visit to select a previously visited variant, then enter that layout. If the variant has not been visited, encounter it through Story Mode first.

An ordinary unpacked object may be in a different container in another layout. The Cot Room’s xylophone stick, for instance, is in a train car, the crayon box, or the mug depending on the layout. After choosing the matching variant, check its container and put the stick with the xylophone. Use this layout check for ordinary props; use the golden-box choice for props belonging to a memento you have skipped.
If Story Mode is stuck loading
If a Story Mode level loads indefinitely, open Settings and use the option to delete the current mid-level save, added in update 1.1.13. It clears the corrupted room save so you can continue, with the current room to redo. For a missing puzzle or a locked room, follow the memento, variant, or Story Mode steps above.
