# Fields of Mistria Progression Guide: Every Mine Seal from Floor 20 to 100 Source: [https://9puz.com/3814-fields-of-mistria-progression-guide/](https://9puz.com/3814-fields-of-mistria-progression-guide/) Author: Marvin Tang Language: English Published: 2026-08-06 Editorially updated: 2026-09-29 The editorial update date does not establish a gameplay retest. Version and evidence qualifications in the article remain applicable. ## Quick answer Follow the Fields of Mistria mine route from floor 20 to 100, including every offering, Balor's Scroll hand-in, the Magic Key, and Dragon Forge materials. **Do not push past a Fields of Mistria mine biome as soon as the elevator reaches its seal floor.** Floors 20 and 40 each need one forageable, fish, bug, and gem from the area above them. Floor 60 reaches back for earlier gems, floor 80 contains two separate hand-ins, and the last ten floors add a fixed key puzzle and a friendship gate. The quickest route is to bank the named materials before leaving each biome, then use the Journal conversation objectives before trying an altar. **Version scope:** this route covers the full-release mine quests. The official patch notes through v1.0.5, released September 18, 2026, do not announce changes to the seal offerings. If a mine elevator or one of the final mine cutscenes crashes, update the game: v1.0.3 fixed both issues. ![Official Fields of Mistria screenshot inside the Upper Mines](https://9puz.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/fields-of-mistria-progression-guide/fields-of-mistria-progression-guide-hero.jpg) Keep the fishing rod and bug net with your mine tools. The first two seals deliberately ask for catches from the biome you just crossed. ## Prepare for the next seal before you see it Give mine quest items their own chest. Keep the first copy of every biome-specific forageable, fish, bug, artifact, and gem until the next seal is open; donating, selling, cooking, or gifting the only copy can turn a finished descent into a second collection run. The Water and Earth seals reveal this rule, but the larger backtrack arrives with Balor's Sealing Scroll order. | Material worth reserving early | Later use | Amount to protect | | --- | --- | --- | | Ruby | Water Seal plus Balor's order | 11 total if you have not opened floor 20 yet; otherwise 10 after the seal | | Sapphire | Earth Seal plus Balor's order | 11 total before floor 40; otherwise 10 after the seal | | Emerald | Fire Seal plus Balor's order | 11 | | Silver Ingot | Balor's order | 10 | Start building friendship with Juniper and Eiland while you work through the earlier biomes. Their relationships do not block floors 20 through 90, but floor 100 requires eight hearts with both characters and both eight-heart events viewed. Progressing those relationships in parallel prevents the deepest elevator checkpoint from becoming a long social detour. The Journal is the other part of the loadout. Reaching a seal room discovers a tablet problem; the following conversations translate it and make the altar usable. If an exact item will not register, stop testing substitutes and finish the named Journal conversation first. ## Floor 20: translate the Water Tablet before using the altar Inspect the tablet and seal on floor 20, return above ground, speak with Eiland, and follow the translation step to Juniper at the Bathhouse. Once that sequence is complete, return with one of each Upper Mines offering: | Offering | Type | Where to collect it | | --- | --- | --- | | Upper Mines Mushroom | Forageable | Upper Mines floors | | Stone Loach | Fish | Upper Mines fishing spots | | Ruby | Gem | Upper Mines nodes | | Lantern Moth | Bug | Upper Mines floors | Place all four exact items in their altar slots. The successful hand-in opens the Tide Caverns below floor 20 and advances the spell route to Summon Rain. A different cave mushroom, fish, or moth will not substitute for the named item. If the altar still rejects the correct set, the missing checkpoint is the Eiland-to-Juniper translation sequence rather than another mine drop. ## Floor 40: finish the fish-and-bug pass before descending The Earth Tablet repeats the four-category pattern with Tide Caverns materials. Take the tablet problem back to Juniper and complete the conversation step involving Celine before treating the room as an inventory lock. | Offering | Type | Source area | | --- | --- | --- | | Sapphire | Gem | Tide Caverns | | Coral Mantis | Bug | Tide Caverns | | Archerfish | Fish | Tide Caverns | | Jade Dulse | Forageable | Tide Caverns | Offer all four to open the Deep Earth and advance the spell route to Growth. If repeated runs produce plenty of ore but not the complete set, change the activity instead of continuing the same descent: fish specifically for Archerfish or keep the net equipped for Coral Mantis. The floor 40 gate is a collection check across four tools, not a mining-volume check. ## Floor 60: separate the altar set from Balor's order The Fire Seal is where a normal four-item collection becomes two connected quests. The altar needs one Faceted Rock Gem, one Rockroot, one Emerald, and the Sealing Scroll. The Scroll comes from Balor, whose separate order consumes 10 Rubies, 10 Sapphires, 10 Emeralds, and 10 Silver Ingots. Take the Fire Tablet through Juniper's translation and speak with Balor when the Scroll branch appears. Wait for his quest mail, attend the meeting named by that letter, load the requested gems and ingots into the donation box beside Balor's Wagon, and speak with him again so the hand-in is recognized. The Sealing Scroll arrives through the following mail step. Read those visible quest signals instead of relying on a fixed day count: readable guides disagree about how many waiting days precede the first letter. Keep an eleventh Emerald outside Balor's order. Bring that spare Emerald, the Scroll, Faceted Rock Gem, and Rockroot to the floor 60 offering point. If Balor has taken the materials but the Scroll is absent, recheck the donation-box objective, the follow-up conversation, and the mailbox before mining another stack. ![Official Fields of Mistria screenshot of Caldarus near a mine entrance](https://9puz.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/fields-of-mistria-progression-guide/fields-of-mistria-caldarus.jpg) The Fire Seal is both a biome gate and a story transition. Its completion opens the Lava Caves, grants Dragon's Breath, and makes the Deep Woods route available. The visible result is access to floors 61-79 and the Dragon's Breath spell. If skipping the seal scene crashes the game on v1.0.0, install official patch v1.0.1 or later and retry; the hotfix specifically addresses that crash path. ## Floor 80: complete two hand-ins, not one The first floor 80 objective starts with the Priestess granting **Void Sight**. This is a passive ability, so there is no spell to cast. Once the quest grants it, ordinary mine activities can produce four Void materials: | Void material | Quantity | Action that produces it | | --- | --- | --- | | Void Stone | 5 | Mine the altered stone nodes | | Void Powder | 5 | Defeat monsters while Void Sight is active | | Void Herb | 5 | Harvest the visible Void plants | | Void Pearl | 5 | Fish the small shadows associated with the Void material | Offer those four stacks to the Cauldron in the Void Seal room to finish the first floor 80 objective. This does *not* open the Ancient Ruins. The Ruins Seal is a second hand-in on the same checkpoint, requiring one Breath of Flame, Smoke Moth, Firesail Fish, and Obsidian from the Lava Caves. The final seal later consumes five more of each Void material, so keep collecting them after this first hand-in if you want to avoid another trip. If no Void resources appear, return to the Priestess and confirm that the Journal has reached the point where Void Sight is granted. If the Void stacks were accepted but floors 81-99 remain closed, the quest is between the two hand-ins; collect the four named Lava Caves items rather than repeating the Void farm. ![Official Fields of Mistria screenshot showing a Lava Caves mine floor](https://9puz.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/fields-of-mistria-progression-guide/fields-of-mistria-lava-caves.jpg) The Lava Caves hold the Breath of Flame, Smoke Moth, Firesail Fish, and Obsidian for the second floor 80 hand-in. Keep the rod and net ready for the fish and bug. ## Floor 90: light the forge before growing the key Floor 90 is a fixed quest area in the Priestess Quarters rather than another random ladder search. Explore the northwest room and read its clues, then go to the southwest room and light the Dragon Forge with Dragon's Breath. Inspect the Library and the newly available tablet route before offering one Temple Flower and one Marigold at the Priestess Tablet. The tablet produces the Seed of Balance. Plant it in the special soil in the Field Room, water it on later days, and harvest the Magic Key when it finishes growing; Growth can shorten the wait. Use the key on the locked door to open floors 91-100 and receive the Sacred Light spell. Find a Temple Flower in the Deep Woods, which becomes accessible after the Fire Seal. Marigolds can be grown or foraged in summer, but the Deep Woods can also produce one in any season. A dark forge points back to the missing floor 60 spell. A seed that has not become a key needs more watering or Growth, and a harvested key must still be used on the door rather than merely carried. ## Floor 100: finish the relationship check before crafting Reading the Dragonsworn Tablet exposes the final prerequisite: reach eight hearts with both Juniper and Eiland, view both eight-heart events, and then speak with Juniper to advance the translation. Eight hearts without the corresponding event is not enough. If you arrive far behind, repeatedly refusing the Priestess's request to build those bonds during the dedicated dialogue eventually provides a Void Cake for Eiland and a Void Newt for Juniper. These accelerate friendship; they do not bypass the hearts or events. After the tablet sequence, return to the **Dragon Forge on floor 90**. All four final offerings require Blacksmithing level 30. If their recipes do not appear, finish the Dragonsworn Tablet quest first; if they appear but you cannot craft them, check your Blacksmithing level and materials. A farm crafting table, an ordinary blacksmith forge, and the Stone Refinery cannot make these items. | Forge item | Required materials | | --- | --- | | Dragon-Forged Fang | 5 Monster Fangs, 5 Void Stones, 5 Void Herbs, 1 Written Root, 1 Medium Essence Stone | | Dragon-Forged Horn | 5 Void Powders, 5 Void Pearls, 5 Monster Horns, 1 Void Snail, 1 Medium Essence Stone | | Dragon-Forged Core | 5 Monster Cores, 1 Mistril Ingot, 1 Pink Diamond, 1 Ancient Firefly, 1 Medium Essence Stone | | Dragon-Forged Powder | 5 Monster Powders, 1 Mistril Ingot, 1 Pink Diamond, 1 Luminescent Crab, 1 Medium Essence Stone | For the four recipes together, reserve two Mistril Ingots, two Pink Diamonds, and four Medium Essence Stones. Written Root, Void Snail, Ancient Firefly, Pink Diamond, Mistril, and Luminescent Crab belong to the Ancient Ruins collection loop. Keep the rod and net for the last biome. Monster Fangs drop from Saplings, Horns from Stalagmites, Cores from Enchanterns, and Powders from Mushroom monsters; earlier mine biomes can supply these stacks. Make each Medium Essence Stone at the Stone Refinery with 20 Stone and 50 Essence, for 80 Stone and 200 Essence across all four. The refinery opens after its story quest at Town Rank 50; mine treasure chests can also contain Medium Essence Stones. If you cannot use the refinery yet, complete that town upgrade before making the final forge trip. Place one Dragon-Forged Fang, Horn, Core, and Powder at the Dragonsworn Tablet on floor 100. The route is complete when the Final Seal story sequence begins, not when the four recipes merely appear in the forge menu.
