Zoochosis is a game focused on animal care and healing, reminiscent of The Mortuary Assistant. Your journey begins with feeding the animals and monitoring their health for any signs of illness. While the game provides initial guidance, challenges arise when mutant animals enter the scene!
Your First Enclosure
Starting fresh can be daunting with limited resources. Follow these steps to get on the right track:
Step 1: Prepare Your Food
- Prior to visiting the animals, make sure to prepare their food. You have a single opportunity to assess each enclosure before sick animals begin displaying symptoms. Aim to finish all tasks before returning to the train.
Step 2: Pick Up the Phone
- When the phone rings, make sure to answer! A woman will provide you with a code to access crucial supplies from a locker, aiding you in your mission.
Step 3: Get to Work
- Push your cart to the animal enclosure. This is the “Investigation” phase:
- Measure each animal’s temperature.
- Observe their reactions to sound.
- Feed them and collect their droppings.
- Obtain blood samples from as many animals as possible, even if some are uncooperative at first.
Step 4: Analyze Your Samples
- Return to the train to analyze the collected samples. Not every animal will display every symptom, but at least one will. If multiple animals show signs, they likely share the same illness.
Step 5: Prepare for Mutants
- As you head back to the enclosure, a mutant animal may appear! Resist the urge to assist the animals immediately. Instead, go back to the train to gather more supplies.
Step 6: Collect Supplies
- Numerous useful supplies can be found near the door where your wife is. Ensure you have adequate resources to handle the mutant animal.
- Craft tranquilizers (sleeping darts) to facilitate blood collection from the animals.
Step 7: The Battle
- First, tranquilize a regular animal to gather blood for a vaccine.
- If the mutant is unconscious, administer a tranquilizer. It will awaken but quickly return to sleep, granting you extra time.
- Create a vaccine for the illness in the train. Each vaccine will yield three darts for use on the mutant.
- Return to the enclosure and shoot the mutant with the darts to cure it.
Step 8: Finishing Up
- After curing the mutant, you can safely move between the train and the enclosure.
- Remember to administer vaccines to the sick animals to keep them healthy!
Subsequent Enclosures
As you progress to later enclosures, you’ll have the ability to create specialized food for the mutant animals. Here are some additional tips:
- Incorporate meat into the animals’ food to help keep mutants calm while you prepare for treatment.
- Always check your supplies after completing each enclosure to ensure you’re equipped for the next one.
Extra Tips:
- Be cautious, as infected animals can mutate while you are inside the enclosure!
- Use special food to identify sick animals; for instance, if a gorilla remains healthy after consuming special food, it may indicate good health!
This guide will help you navigate the challenges of Zoochosis as you care for and treat a variety of animals!
