Adventure Escape Mysteries Framed Walkthrough – Chapter 9

It looks like Kate has been kidnapped and is tied up in a burning room! Tap on the mirror, and Kate will walk over to it. Now, you need to untie the ropes by tracing them in the mirror, which might be one of the most frustrating puzzles ever. I recommend going very slowly and using the checkpoints for assistance. This puzzle can be a real challenge. You can watch my video for extra help.

Now that Kate is free, it’s time to put out the fire. Pick up the multi-tool, tongs, fire extinguisher, shovel, rope, and baking sheet. Also, take a look at the fire safety poster.

Use the fire extinguisher to put out the flames on the fuse box. Then, use the tongs to grab each paint can and move them to the water. Place the baking sheet over the cans to extinguish the flames. For the boxes, use the multi-tool to cut open a sandbag. Then, use the shovel to pick up the sand and pour it onto the boxes. Repeat this for each box. Finally, exit through the door.

We need to help Bill! Pick up the two rulers, cable ties, cloth, and plastic wrap. Use the multi-tool to grab the axe. Also, check out the note on the wall.

Use the cloth to clean Bill’s wound, then wrap plastic wrap around it. Since his leg is broken, use the rulers and cable ties as a makeshift splint. Lastly, use the axe on the stool in the corner, and then tie the rope to it to create a stretcher.

Now we can examine the USB stick on the computer. The password clue is the poster with the shapes on it. The hint is to add up the circle, square, pentagon, and circle again to get the number. Let’s break down the numbers for each shape:

  • The pentagon is easy to identify because there’s a row of four pentagons, giving us 36/4 = 9.
  • In the next row, three pentagons and one star add up to 33. So, 3 × 9 = 27, meaning the star is 6.
  • Now, we have a few squares left. If we plug in 9 + 6 + 6 + x = 24, we find that x = 3 (since 21 + 3 = 24).
  • Finally, for the circle, we have x + 9 + 3 + 6 = 25. Subtracting 18 from 25 gives us 7.

So, the equation becomes: Circle + Square + Pentagon + Circle = password. Plugging in the numbers, we get 7 + 3 + 9 + 7 = 26. Enter 26 into the keypad and press ENTER.

Next, we need to solve a picross-style puzzle. You’ll look at the first two rows for patterns and then fill in the third row based on those patterns. There are three patterns to solve:

  • The first one is simple — just combine the first two images.
  • For the second, invert the colors.
  • The third one asks you to combine the two images directly. Any overlapping squares should be removed. The easiest way to do this is to copy the first image exactly, and then overlay the second image on top. Once you do that, the image will clear, revealing who was tipping off the gang!

Now we have another mini-game. Tap to place a barrier that Carla can’t cross. If Carla reaches the edge of the grid, you’ll fail to capture her. Surround Carla completely so she has no way to escape. Focus on blocking her from getting off the board first, then close in on her, filling in the area around her until she’s trapped. Each time you play, the setup will be different, so you’ll need to figure it out on your own.
