In Machinika: Atlas Chapter 5, you continue as a researcher exploring an abandoned spaceship on Atlas, Saturn’s moon. After meeting an alien inhabitant in Chapter 4, you are asked to help prepare the ship for its journey home. In this chapter, you’ll dive deeper into the ship to identify and fix what’s malfunctioning.
Chapter 5a – Activating the Transporter
1. Accessing the Transporter
- Enter the elevator, which now opens up to a transporter on a track. You’ll find a control device on the bench in front of you.
Controller Puzzle
- To move the transporter, activate the controller by pressing the center button on the left side, then repeat on the right side. You’ll see a pattern of lines with nodes at corners and junctions, and a glowing light you can drag around.
- Move the light to turn all nodes on simultaneously, then push the handle to start the transporter.
The transporter will carry you to a new room.
Chapter 5 – Preparing for Take-Off
2. Navigating the Floating Room
- Gravity is off, causing items to float. Press the button on the left to bring a moving platform to you. Step on it and tap the right button to move around the room to a console. Press the right button again to continue to a lower level.
Collect Items
- Look left to collect a floating Light Bulb, and locate a letter on the back left side of the room.
Solving the Room Puzzles
3. Five Color Puzzle
- In the room’s center, find a round cover with five colored shapes. Rotate the outer ring to align and slide the shapes into matching-colored sockets on the inner ring. This flips the cover, revealing another puzzle.
4. Rings Puzzle 1
- You’ll see three rings with target locations at the bottom and square pieces with green symbols.
- Rotate the squares with two blue buttons to move them clockwise or counterclockwise.
- Toggle red X squares to block or allow movement.
- Align each square piece on its target location to complete the puzzle.
Return to the platform and press the left button to reach the small console.
5. Lights Puzzle
- Collect three light bulbs from the board on the left and place them in correct nodes to illuminate all points on the board.

Once complete, the walkway opens, allowing you to access the central console.
6. Lights Puzzle 2
- Use an air duster to clean the board, which has two sides: the left displays a blue light pattern, while the right allows you to turn lights on or off.
- Mirror the blue light pattern on the right side. Complete three levels of patterns, then pull the handle on the right to flip the room’s platform.
Look at the walkway board to collect a Mechanical Device, then view it in your inventory.
Setting up the Mechanical Device
7. Activating the Mechanical Device
- Rotate the bottom ring of the device to make its line horizontal, then slide the vertical line down to form a cross. Rotate the ring again to align the lines as an “X,” which lights up four blue lights.
Return to the platform and press the right button to descend to a lower area with an open panel on the floor.
Placing the Mechanical Device
- Insert the device into the panel, flipping the cover and revealing another rings puzzle.
Final Puzzles
8. Rings Puzzle 2
- You’ll encounter four rings with white sections and an inner ring with green sections. Rotate the rings so that white sections align with the green sections, turning all green to complete the puzzle.
9. Polyhedron Puzzle
- Access the center polyhedron, which has pointed vertices with lines.
- Rotate the vertices to connect all lines, starting from the white section with five lines and connecting to a dark area with no lines. Once connected, the object opens, revealing the final rings puzzle.
10. Rings Puzzle 3
- Two inner rings feature blue/white arrows and lasers. Rotate the rings to direct lasers through white lights and clear barriers using blue spheres.
- Complete three levels to reactivate the ship’s energy source, preparing it for takeoff.
