UNBEATABLE lets you revisit episodes, but Story collectibles from separate Episode Select runs do not combine. For a first run, the safe plan is therefore to finish the Episode 3 town before Showtime, carry the Episode 4 companion-item sequence through Penny’s day, and use the Journal to confirm the 31-of-38 requirement for THE STUFF HAVER. The shorter Episode 1 and 2 detours below are included because they are easiest to bank while their scenes are open.
The scope is the full 2025 game on Steam, App ID 2240620, checked against the PC version and official patch information available on August 9, 2026. It is not a guide for the separate free side story UNBEATABLE [white label]. Patch 2.2 added localization and cutscene subtitle changes and fixed an Episode 4 bartending loop; the DLC and Arcade Mode folios are outside this route.
Open the Journal with J after every photo, snack, minigame prize, and companion-specific interaction. A popup is useful, but the Journal entry is the reliable state check: Tape Runner in Episode 3 may not show a normal popup at all.
The target is 31 of the game’s 38 Story Mode collectibles. Eighteen arrive through story progression, but collecting every available item is safer because it leaves room for one missed interaction. The two commitments that matter most are simple: do not start the Episode 3 lighthouse show until the town checks are complete, and do not finish the Episode 4 City Center bartending shift before Penny can collect the Bar Tab.
Before Episode 3 opens: bank the isolated detours
Episode 1 has no collectible chain that needs to be carried into another episode, but it contains three easy-to-pass achievement actions. During the opening sequence with Eve, interact with the merchandise stall before entering the stage. Once Beat leaves Quaver’s house, accept the jump-rope activity and continue until the 100-count result registers. The exact input is forgiving; the important observable result is the achievement notification, not merely starting the minigame.
Before the later stadium performance, inspect the dressing room beneath the mirrors for the keys and use the parent photos in the Journal to recreate the available picture. If a photo interaction does not register, compare the framing prompt with the Journal image instead of advancing to the stage.
In Episode 2, use the second factory shift’s distracted-guard window to take the blueprints. During play time, collect the baseball bat in the yard. During the escape, check the evidence room for the headphones. These are simple location checkpoints, but each should appear in the Journal before you leave its area.
The time-consuming optional task is Brickout in the prison Rec Room. Clear every brick rather than stopping after one round. If the achievement does not appear, the board still contains a brick or the run ended without a full clear. Finish it before using the bedtime transition if you want the first run to stay self-contained.
Episode 3: finish the town before Showtime

Take the sewer item before following the blocked-path solution
At the first sewer split, continue straight, take the right path under the pipe, then take the left branch toward the sewage waterfall. Turn left near the waterfall and follow the route until the blocked pipe-A path is identified. Continue left past that blockage and inspect the shiny object beneath the overhead barricade. The Journal should add Sewer Access Codes. If it does not, return to the water under the barricade before completing the pipe route.
Resolve the bar without consuming the later Bar Tab window
When the town opens, enter the bar above the book-and-coffee shop. Speak to the manager and then the tired bartender until the work offer appears. One achievement asks for every customer to receive an Old Fashioned, built from Nostalgia, Bitters, and Demerara. A separate achievement asks for all orders to be correct. If the all-Old-Fashioned attempt does not also satisfy the shift quota, repeat the minigame and follow each customer’s requested taste profile on the second run.
After completing a shift, return to the bartender when the follow-up interaction becomes available; on the documented route this is available on the next town day with Quaver. Confirm that Sally’s Bar Menu appears in the Journal. This is separate from the Episode 4 Bar Tab and does not require postponing the Episode 3 shift.
Make the poster choice and complete Quaver’s photo circuit
At the lighthouse, create the band poster. When Quaver reveals her own design, choose the supportive response "It’s…great." Do not choose the line that skips her poster if you want both the related achievement and Quaver’s Poster collectible.
Once poster placement opens, keep Quaver with you and make a clockwise collection pass:
- Place the Shack poster, then use the sea-view interaction at the Shack when it becomes available for the Shack photo.
- Cover the Waterfront spot near the stairs and recreate the photo by the book-and-coffee shop.
- Use the Rest Area vending-machine rhythm interaction and take the Rest Area photo.
- At Town Square, complete its location rhythm interaction, cover the HARM poster beside nine-2-five, and enter the store.
The Rest Area and Town Square rhythm interactions together award Tape Runner. Because no normal popup may appear, open the Journal immediately after the second segment. If the entry is absent, revisit both interaction points before Showtime.
Clear every Quaver-only Town Square action

Inside nine-2-five, jump on the cashier counter three times while Quaver is following. Outside the store, interact with the Gachapon machines twice and verify Gachapon in the Journal. These checks depend on Quaver being present; if the store scene plays without the expected response, stop and return while she is still your companion.
Do not leave Town Square for the lighthouse until Whacktown is finished. Speak to the two children outside, then clear the available baseball challenge that awards the Baseball collectible. Continue the machine sequence until Bay 02 exposes the ghost version, then clear that version for the Moonlit Flower and the associated achievement. The safe order is Easy then Hard or Hard then Hard to advance the state to night. Avoid Hard then Easy, and do not walk out of Whacktown once it becomes night; leaving can close the window before the ghost clear.
Assist Mode is a valid fallback if the ghost chart is the blocker. Success is not "the screen became dark"; it is the achievement plus the Moonlit Flower entry in the Journal.
Close the poster and photo loop after Showtime
Before starting Showtime, confirm the Shack, Waterfront, and Rest Area photos; the Gachapon, Baseball, Moonlit Flower, Bar Menu, and Tape Runner entries; and all currently reachable posters. After Showtime, place the remaining poster at the Train Station. Then follow the story back through Whacktown and return to the lighthouse. Use the photo prompt there to frame Quaver on the roof. The Lighthouse Photo with Quaver is the final photo checkpoint for this route.
Episode 4 lives or dies on the four companion days
Episode 4 is safer when treated as four short inventories rather than one long chapter. The companion determines several store items, while the Bar Tab and Deodorant need earlier sewer work to remain available.
| Window | Mandatory visit | Journal result | Failure signal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Day 1, Quaver | Convenience-store snack hotspot | Onigiri | Store visit completed without a new item |
| Day 2, Treble | Practice, store, Bar Street, Arcade | Mochi and Crowbar | Arcade remains closed or crowbar is absent |
| Day 3, Clef | Store and School Yard | Candy and HARM Bolt | Janitor chain or jump-rope second tier is unfinished |
| Day 4, Penny | Store, sewer loop, then bar | Hot Dog, Deodorant, Bar Tab | Bartending was cleared before the Bar Tab appeared |
Day 1 with Quaver
On City Street, speak to the child at the bridge stairs and complete Floor Is Lava: cross the cars without touching the ground, use the crane route, reach the rooftop, defeat the cop, and break the dampener. The Medal is the completion check. Enter the nearby abandoned studio with the yellow sign and inspect the vacuum in the corner for Evil (?) Vacuum.
Visit the convenience store before returning to the hideout. Use the snack interaction while Quaver is present and confirm Onigiri. A generic store visit is not enough; the companion-specific Journal item is the result that matters.
Day 2 with Treble
Complete practice first so the Arcade repair route can open. Visit the convenience store with Treble, resolve the shoplifting scene, re-enter, and use the newly available snack hotspot for Mochi.
When the voice beneath the street asks for help, go to Bar Street and collect the Crowbar from the shiny object beside the manhole near the bar. Repair the Arcade by completing its rooftop route and breaking the dampener. Once the area changes to night, go back inside and play the dance machine. Keep several arrows active, but stop pressing an input when its arrow turns red or shakes. The score must reach the achievement threshold before the center meter fills; if the meter is climbing faster than the score, rotate to cooler inputs rather than mashing one key.
Use the Crowbar on the first street manhole, enter, rescue the trapped person, and break the sewer dampener. This prepares the Day 4 Deodorant sequence. You may visit the City Center bar, but do not complete its bartending minigame yet. Completing it early can remove the Bar Tab interaction needed with Penny.
Day 3 with Clef
Visit the convenience store first and use Clef’s snack interaction for Candy. At the School Yard, complete both jump-rope stages. Sources disagree on the displayed count for the two tiers, so use the game’s state rather than a memorized number: finish the first challenge, speak to the child again, then continue the harder challenge until the achievement appears. If only one clear is recorded, the second conversation or second tier is still missing.
Speak to the janitor inside the school, then walk around the right side of the building and inspect the broken dampener for the HARM Bolt. The broken device will not award the item before the janitor conversation.
Use the Crowbar on the manhole near the School Gates, left of the Arcade. Enter and exit until its dialogue sequence is exhausted and the sewer achievement registers. This is also a useful time to make several of the sewer transitions needed for the Day 4 store conversation.
Day 4 with Penny
Bring Penny into nine-2-five and use her specific snack/counter hotspot for Hot Dog. If another generic interaction fires, check the left side of the counter area and verify the Journal before leaving.
For Deodorant, the street manhole must already be open and its dampener broken. Enter and re-enter the sewer at least three times, then visit the convenience store with Penny and exhaust the new dialogue. Return to the sewer once more, then re-enter the store. The chain is complete only when Deodorant appears in the Journal; if it does not, the likely missing dependency is the broken dampener, an unconsumed sewer dialogue, or the final sewer-to-store return.
Now approach the bar with Penny. Collect Bar Tab before clearing the bartending shift. If the bartender goes directly to the already-completed state and no tab enters the Journal, the minigame was probably finished too early in this episode. After the Bar Tab registers, complete the required shift; this is also the safe point to finish the Episode 4 bartending achievement.
Episode 5 is the Journal audit, not an Episode Select cleanup

Episode 5 adds the Crest Keycard after the Crest battle and the Trill Keycard near the broken Gamma-Theta door after the police fight. Both are tied closely to the route, but still open the Journal when they arrive. If you followed the Episode 3 and 4 ledgers, THE STUFF HAVER should unlock no later than this episode because the threshold is 31 of 38.
If it does not unlock, count Journal entries before finishing the story. Missing Episode 1 or 2 achievements can be cleaned through Episode Select. Missing Story collectibles are different: a collectible picked up in one isolated Episode Select run does not join those from another. For a shortfall tied to the 31-item threshold, replay the relevant Episode 3 or 4 chain as a coherent run and recheck the Journal at every checkpoint.
Episode 6 has no optional achievement route in the evidence used here. Once the Episode 5 Journal audit is clean, continue the story without another missable checklist. The verified PC release is UNBEATABLE on Steam.
